Had a great lunch at Pippa's Cafe. There were 11 of us. Service was amazing. The waitress refilled your drink before you had the chance to ask. We sat outside on the porch. It wasn't too warm (we were the only table for most of the meal). The menu was huge. There was something for everyone. I had the brisket sandwich. Yummy. Met some fellow colleagues here. I order the black bean burger with a side of sweet potato fries. The place has a chill vibe. Throughly enjoyed the spring breeze that came through. By the way the waitress was pleasant. When I finally got my plate I got exactly what I ordered. A black bean burger patty between two pieces of bread. No tomato, no lettuce no onions.... Nothing. Fries were terribly cold and hard. Thought about making this my new chill spot but after receiving my order, definitely not about the food or keeping customers coming back. My coworkers have been raving about this place, so I finally gave it a try. I ordered a pickup, upon arrival the hostess and server were extremely sweet- making l sure that I was serviced. The interior feels like a bar, with many wall decor and noise level was moderate. We ordered their sample platter tray- comes with sliders, jalapeños poppers,l and others that I can't remember. Everything was good but the sliders were dry as there were no condiments or cheese on them. I tried their California Chicken Wrap with their spinach wrap with sweet potatoes fries. Their wrap was amazing with fresh produce; the creamy avocado brings everything together and their blackened chicken is soo flavorful. The sweet potatoes friend were crispy, chewy, and sweet/savory. Seems like a nice sports bar and appeared to have a variety of beers on tap. For the food- also quite the large variety which always leaves me skeptical when it comes to quality. I ordered the wings and also an order of potato skins. 10 wings is $13+.. which seems expensive! There were a variety of drums and wings in the bunch. I was served one small serving of ranch. The wings were ok.. but to me don't justify the price point. They were average size. The potato skins are what was most disappointing. They reminded me of the frozen kind you buy at the grocery store. There were also no green onions or chives served on top. They were so bland and tasted microwaved tbh. First time at Pippa's and I will say it was definitely worth it. I didn't get a chance to take a picture because I was sooooo hungry! But I got the salmon with mash potatoes and the Mac. The boom boom sauce isn't needed for the salmon but definitely for the shrimp. So hubby said we had their wings before , but it was pick up--- (I think food taste better when you're actually dining) can't remember if I really loved it but I know I didn't hate it. I've been coming to Pippas for years now because it's in the plaza right outside of my neighborhood. It's your average sports bar and bar food. I love that it's owned by a local family and everyone here is very friendly. They have outdoor seating and lots of fans during the hotter months. Inside is a little dark and there are a lot of TVs and often times a lot of people are gathered at the bar. Today I ordered the Cobb salad and added grilled chicken to it. The salad was huge and had lots of bacon, avocado, bleu cheese and eggs. I like that they put the dressing on the side so I could control how much or how little to put on. The only down side to the salad was the grilled chicken. It was pretty dry and didn't have much flavor. I have tried their fried chicken and it's much juicer, so I would go with that next time. I also love their burgers, wraps and all of their sides. I like that their portions are big and often times I can split a meal or take it home. They have a huge menu so I'm always trying new things but my favorite so far is the California burger with waffle fries. Can't wait to be back soon! read more

The manager didn't even come to the table but sends the server back to tell us it was another managers error and the price we were charged is correct! WTF!?!?! We would have made different choices had it been clear from the beginning. Food is sub-par nothing is fresh or made on site. Bathrooms are worse than the bars you frequented in college! It was okay. I went on a football Sunday and they were busy. It was extremely loud but considering it was football Sunday... I get it. I ordered a bloody Mary to begin with since it was on special....and it was nothing special. But I did love the price. I ordered the Sampler Platter which came with 4 wings, 2 potato spuds, chicken tenders, mac and cheese bites, 3 beef sliders, 3 cheese sticks. It was hard to share because of the odd number of items. Also, everything tasted the same so I'm guessing the oil they're frying in is old. We ordered our wings with a dry rub and they weren't good. My favorite was the slider. It's been awhile since I have been to Pippa's. I decided to place a to-go order after seeing the special. We ordered 25 traditional wings (with 3 different sauces) and 2 Jessica wraps (subbed shrimp for chicken@ $1 upcharge each). We were quoted 40 minutes although I think it was ready earlier and sitting out for a bit. The food was good, although not hot. (see previous sentence). Overall, it was definitely worth it....all that food for less than $40 (including a generous tip) was a steal! Kudos to the staff for setting up a station right at the door and having spots clearly marked for people to wait in line while still maintaining social distancing. I almost didn't try this place based on some of the more recent reviews. I decided to try it anyway and i'm glad I did. My food was pretty good. the service was average. The total experience was good. We were promptly seated when we arrived and received our drinks quickly. Then our server disappeared. Another server saw us waiting excessively long so she took our orders. We waited some more and finally our food was delivered to the table. Our server then reappeared and asked us if our order was okay. It actually came out correct and the food was hot. I feel that the food was above average. I ordered a French dip sandwich with a side baked potato. The roast beef was really goo and so was the au jus. The potato had melted cheese on top of it. My date ordered a grouper wrap with a side of sweet potato fries. The fries were good and the grouper so very mild but flavorful. I would like to try the grouper in another dish here! The place was clean. The restrooms were clean. They have a 98.5 sanitation grade. The atmosphere was a little loud. They had outside patio seating that was cute. read more

The food is above average for your local "Cheers". I love the Berry Patch salad with shrimp or salmon, the grilled chicken Jessica wrap, and the Salmon dinner. What is there to say about Pippa's.... We were recommended Pippas as a great local spot for food and drinks. While they do have Sweet Baby Jesus on tap, we were questioning they vast menu selections. As service industry vets, we are well aware that a huge menu offering a wide assortment of foods does mean variety, it also means that the quality of said variety is lacking. Our server, who we shall call Chelsea (because she never gave us her name), was prompt with our beers, but icy and aloof as only a young adult can be. No one has ever forced anyone to be a server, so if you don't like customer service, don't do it. It's that simple. Maybe she was having a bad night? I neither know or care. That sucks, it happens to all of us, but thats not the customers problem. We ordered an appetizer, which she left to ring in. And upon returning, we ordered our entrees. I ordered a grilled chicken sandwich with a loaded baked potato and my wife ordered the fish tacos. Within ten minutes, here comes our meals.... and immediately behind that, our appetizer. The first thing I noticed was that the cheese on both the sandwich and potato was melted, but already set, telling me that my sandwich and baked potato had been par cooked. When I went to take a bite, this was confirmed by the barely warm meat and cheese. The potato was under cooked and still a bit crunchy. Neither was inedible and I was ravenous, but neither was very good. My wife's fish tacos were slightly better, but nothing to write home about. Neither of the items I ordered was cooked fresh. Both the chicken and potato were par cooked. I know this from the congealed cheese and the rapid delivery of our meals. Obviously, having baked potatoes on hand ready to go is a good idea as they tend to take some time to fully bake. But having chicken breast par cooked, already cheesed and sitting around is just poor form. I would have lost my job in any of the kitchens I once worked in for being so lazy. The only hot and fresh thing we had was the appetizer which was deep fried from frozen and arrived along side our entrees. But having our own TV in our booth was cool. read more

My husband and I love Pippa's! It has a great small town feel with AMAZING food. We have never been disappointed with it. My husband loves that it has a good selection of local beers. Nice in-door and out-door seating, friendly staff, TVs to watch the game you want, and local memorabilia on the walls. If you're looking for a casual night out, this is where I recommend you go. Pippa's. It's a cafe. It has food and beer. Slightly longer version: I'm not sure how Pippa's differentiates itself from the masses. I appreciated that I got to use pimento cheese as a salad dressing. But the pimento cheese was chunky - the cheddar was not melted in. I may not be a southerner, but pimento cheese should be smooth. I can't even figure out what I ordered after looking at the menu. (Was this where I had shrimp and grits?) I do remember that they had a good beer selection. That said, I'm not the target audience for Pippa's. This is for families. There's a little field out back where kids all go play and make friends. There's something for everyone here, just like a diner. Oh, okay. I'm not much of a diner person, so that may be why I wasn't that impressed. I don't have a compelling reason to demote stars. We visited Pippa's after a very VERY long hiatus, I am happy to report we very much enjoyed our meal. The seafood ravioli was on point, the vodka sauce is just excellent, mixed with the flavor of crab and shrimp is to die for........ I posted a pic, the vodka sauce is very creamy and I added Parmesan cheese - making it mouth watering. My wife ordered the Chicken Parmesan dinner and I had a little sample, very good flavor and the chicken was light breaded and fried. I want to mention that an often overlooked but excellent bonus of any entree is the side dinner salad, it is actually decent size, always fresh and the dried cranberries thrown in, gives it a great flavor with their ranch dressing. My family loves this place. They love sports, and Pippa's offers small TV's with remotes at every table inside this restaurant, as well as large screen TVs higher up on every wall. They have all the games, plus good food too. The wings are what my family likes the most. There are more than several flavors you can try, and you can have your wings smoked or fried.
