!PLEASE READ BEFORE EATING HERE! Honestly what more can I say besides this is by far one of the worst experiences I have had with a restaurant... To start my friend and I were greeted at the door and we took a seat at a booth near the front door. My friend ordered Alfredo and I ordered chicken Caesar wrap.. how can you possibly mess either of those up you might ask. Well let me tell you that pippas found a ways my friend had a Caesar side salad and he let me try it. I tasted it and it tasted like it was spoiled. I immediately thought about how my wrap was going to taste. I asked the waitress for a side of Caesar with my wrap and I dipped my finger in the Caesar to taste again and it still tasted spoiled. I sent the wrap back. Now at any other restaurant if you send food back it would be taken off the bill. Apparently not at this one.. I looked at the receipt after 20 minutes of waiting for the bill and notice the wrap is still on there. I told the waitress that she may have accidentally left the wrap on the receipt. She went back charge the card for the wrap and then brought us the check. I immediately was upset because she didn't take the wrap off. I go to my car to cool off and then I called The restaurant to ask to speak to the manager about why the wrap was not taken off. The manager informed me they have a no sampling policy. Understandably so I told her that I never got to try the wrap it's just the dressing taste it spoiled. She said that there was nothing that she could do as far as a refund would go. I was fine that I wasn't gonna be able to get a refund I just wanted to make her aware that I thought it was unprofessional for the lady to still charge the card and not explain about the no sampling policy. The manager then put the waitress on the phone where the waitress talked about how I bring multiple men to the restaurant to try food and get it for free. Mind you I have never been to this restaurant except for this time. I had no clue what she was talking about. She started being rude talking about how I talked to a whole bunch of men dating wise. And then I was hung up on because I was told that I was arguing with the waitress by the manager. I think called back and asked to speak to the owner whenever they get in because of this experience. Today I got to speak to the manager and he was more concerned about why I wanted a refund for the wrap than his waitress saying that I talk to multiple men or bring multiple men to the restaurant. All and all this restaurant is unprofessional and I would not recommend to anyone. The food that I did get to try was mediocre and the dressing I got to try was spoiled if you do happen to go to the restaurant please be aware that the service is not good at all. read more

Went to Pippa's this week after closing on our house in Huntersville. We are looking for a new go to place after we move and I think we may have found it. My wife and I met my sister in law and decided we would meet for happy hour. Since she lives nearby and my brother loves the place it was an easy decision. Now I understand why they like the place. We sat at a table in the bar area. The service was fantastic. The girls were amazingly nice and kept checking in on us. They have a great selection of the menu and although we did not eat, we will on our next trip. The place is clean (i.e. restrooms) and the staff attentive. There are plenty of TV's for sports viewing. Will be back for sure this month after we get fully moved in. read more

I have good and bad things to say. I went on a Thursday night with my girlfriends which was Musical Bingo night so keep this in mind. First off, the servers are amazing and the bus staff is as well. They are there to do their jobs and do them very well. The food is great ( a bit pricey for what it is), but it's really good, especially the wings extra crispy with the Riddle sauce (they fall right off the bone). Anyway, beware of the kid space outside next to the patio. It is a free for all for all kids that don't know how to behave and for all the kids whose parents that didn't teach them. Very annoying to the point that I could t hear the music from the amplified DJ music. It's a little weird almost to the point that one table was just kids and the dad came from the bar to pay their bill. And they were the most loud and obnoxious there. I'm not one to be petty, but when I am paying that type of money for a place that seems kick back, then ur prices need to reflect that type of atmosphere. Just sayin. Outdoors you are welcome to bring your pup, too! Thursday night is usually Trivia (I think). A sports pub with lots of tv's, but you don't have to scream to talk to each other. My husband's fav is the Pippa Burger. A very generous Hamberger on their own type of brioche bun that is soft & delicious. You can get your choice of cheese as well as a generous amount of bacon if you wish. We only recently were told by a server that they had shoe string fries, and they are awesome! I absolutely love this sports bar. It's close to my neighborhood so we frequent often. Thy have live music, trivia, bingo and great food! Not your typical sports bar food. They do specials on the weekends and often serve up delicious seafood. The Pippas Classic salad is my go to, but the Gorgonzola wrap is a great bet as well. The bartenders are nice, the atmosphere is great and the owner is friendly and accommodating. A great spot for groups too, with lots of tvs, beer towers, daily drink specials and cornhole! So upsetting. We used to love coming to Pippas. Tonight reminded me why we won't return again. The fries were stale. I mean hard to chew stale- the find of fries I expect to find wedged in my kids carseat stale. The Cobb salad was missing the bacon, the Caesar was more wilted lettuce than not, and our (used to be) favorite lemon pepper wings were so salty, my lips were stinging after the third wing. The only thing that went well was the side of broccoli. After a really long day, I was really looking forward to Pippas. Sadly, this will be our final run. EDIT- customer service was, and is still phenomenal. I called and spoke to the manager who issued a full refund. I don't know that it changes our mind on ever returning, but it definitely helps soothe the burn. read more

This place is SUPER LOUD and the food here is not that great. Prices are okay compared to other pubs. This is a place to watch football and hang out. I came to this establishment for the first time since moving into the area in the last two weeks and I was severely disappointed. I sat at the bar and service was terrible. The bartender didn't even wipe off my area. It was a receipt from the last guest that sat down and napkins left from there dining. I ordered three simple things Which were Chicken wings, fries, and macaroni bites. All three tasted disgusting and my food wasn't even warm. I could barely eat that mess and within 5 minutes of getting my food I closed out my tab and left. I wouldn't recommend this restaurant to my worst enemy. Two thumbs down!!! read more

We had a great dinner tonight at Pippa's Cafe. First of all, we really appreciated that they gave us a heads up that there was a slightly longer than usual wait for food before we were even seated. That way, we knew to expect it and just enjoyed our drinks while we watched all the games on the patio (which is so nice). Second, Savannah helped us out tonight and she was the best! So sweet and had the nicest personality. She checked on us and kept us updated about our food order. And then finally the quality of the food was so good. If you've never had a salad at Pippa's you are missing out. They are huge and full of high quality ingredients. And my boys had burgers which were excellent. Generous pours on the wine too. Great bar and food for Sunday football. It is so unassuming with a name like Cafe. When you walk in, it's definitely a bar. But the food selections make it more "cafe". We ordered a few beers, the Carolina nachos, and traditional wings, so I can't comment on the cafe food. However, the bar food was fantastic. Okay so I have given this place 2 years and over 10 visits before writing this review (mainly because somehow I missed reviewing this place). Up until 2017 or even early 2018, Pippa's was a fun place to hang out at, and had decent food. I particularly liked that each table inside has its own tv to watch whatever game you fancy. We used to like their burgers and wings, and pretty much everything we tried here used to be decent. However, our last three visits and one take-out experience have been very unsatisfactory and I think by now I'm ready to give up on them. The takeout experience was with an uncooked burger. My husband got the shermanator, and asked for it to be cooked medium. Over the phone they said it would be 20 minutes, but it took close to 45 minutes by the time he got his order. When we started eating our meal, he realized his burger was raw inside. We called them and they offered us a free burger next time we go, which was quite nice of them. But then at our next visit, while his burger was cooked as expected, my pasta was really bland and tasteless and the chicken was overdone. The next time we ordered the wings and I must say, the wings that they use here are so much skinnier and tough than other places. While the sauces are quite delicious, the wings themselves don't have much meat on them. I experienced this twice. And last night, our food was lackluster throughout. I got a chicken parm, where the sauce was quite bland and tasteless, and the chicken was really tough and chewy. My husband's wings were again skinny and unsatisfactory. To make things worse, the service was subpar. It took about 5 minutes for anyone to notice we were at the host table waiting to be seated. After being seated, no one came to take our drink orders for about 10 minutes. I was considering getting up to go find something and they noticed it and came to take our order. Same thing happened with our food. Our toddler was getting impatient so my husband took him to the play area and when the server came to our table, she said "sorry for the wait, I was waiting for them to get back so you could order," referring to my husband and son. Oh, come on! When we first walked into the restaurant, someone was announcing on the speakers, "don't forget to tip your servers and bartenders!" Now, I am not one to leave without tipping. Even a bad experience gets a tip from me. But with such service, do you really expect guests to leave happy and leave a huge tip? And announcing it on the PA system? How desperate and tacky! The cherry on top of the bad experience was the bathroom didn't have a changing table, and the floor was wet and gross. How are customers with kids supposed to change their kids? After last night both my husband and I decided we will never return to Pippa's, and will not recommend them to any friends or neighbors either. read more

Pippa's is my local go to wing joint. If I still drank, it would also be my local go to beer joint too. What I love is that even a rowdy sports bar is family friendly enough to take my 14 year old daughter to for dinner. Eat in or take out, we have always enjoyed the wings. We order them with Big Dave's hot sauce, it's a great blend of flavor and fire. The fries are always crispy which is always a plus. There's really nothing good about this place except for the location. The beer selection and wine selection are weak. They were out of everything including plates. They were out of celery for the chicken wings, out of the "sweet white" wine selection and basically concocted something in the back. Then we ate our apps of paper plates Which we had to ask for. The boneless chicken wings were chicken less. They resembled crunchy pebbles with pseudo wing sauce. The service was awful and the server was grossing me out with her face piercing. Pippa's has pretty good bar food. The blackened tilapia wrap, wings, and onion rings are all good. They have TVs in each of the booths that you can control. Problem is they only have 5 booths. The place is very small and not laid out very well. There's a table right in front of the door. If you get seated there ask to be moved. Also, you basically have to walk through a storage area to get to the bathroom, and if you're sitting at the bar your stool is constantly being kicked by people walking by. The service is the biggest miss. It's a bunch of teenagers to early 20's who congregate in the kitchen area by the end of the bar. Either that or they at the bar or a table talking to the regulars.
