CornedBeef Hash & Eggs with fruit and English muffin
Elaina M.

This review is gonna be a two-for. And base my rating solely on the food and I'm going to start with the positive! The food we ordered was amazing. It came out hot and was truly delicious!! There's a wide variety of items on the menu to fit any pallet. There is plenty of seating for all size groups (we were a party of 8) Our server was very good. She checked back with us many times. Note the word "many". Reason being that it seemed very difficult for them to get food out of the kitchen. After quite a bit of waiting a manager said we were the next ticket out after one more order. They wanted all our food to come out together. No problem. We were not in a hurry. A little more time passed and indeed our food started to come out. Well, 6 meals started to come out. Only to find their cooktop broke down and the last two meals would be awhile. Sadly, we had already waited a very long period of time and the 6 meals that did come out were already eaten so two of our party guest cancelled their order altogether. And by reading other reviews the time factor does seem to be an issue. SO maybe try them out if you're not in a hurry just to give the food a fair try.

Burger with bacon egg chef special

It was amazing service and food. The restaurant was clean and a peaceful environment. Coffee was good and hot. The food came to the table in a timely manner.

Heart shaped pancakes and bacon

The food was very good. Hash browns were cooked well, crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. Biscuits and gravy were not bad, too much pepper and not enough sausage. The Biscuits were very buttery and very delicious. "Heart" shaped pancakes need a little work. Maybe should stick to round.

I'm local and was early for an appt. And googles breakfast close by in MOORESVILLE downtown area.. WOW...don't miss this place !! Food was spectacular (Eggs Benedict was my choice) The Christian music was not intrusive but I found it to be purposeful and welcomed..!!!!

From a former fan of the Happy Egg until they implemented a so-called credit card fee (something…read morethey had not done last year) after introducing their new menus early in 2026. In speaking with others in the restaurant business, they say included in the menu price is not only their food costs, but also all their overhead costs - including credit card processing fees - so begs the questions, why do some places add a fee for using a credit card? So I did a bit of research, and here is what I found: NC is moving toward tighter regulations A 2025 bill (House Bill 13) proposes: * A 2% cap on surcharges * Mandatory disclosure at the entrance and point of sale * A ban on surcharges if the business only accepts credit cards It hasn't fully passed yet, but it has momentum. If it becomes law, it will standardize what restaurants can charge and how they must disclose it. Check whether the fee applies to all cards If the restaurant charges the same fee for: * debit cards NOTE: Happy Egg, my server told me, charges 4% to use a Debit Card * credit cards * even prepaid cards ...that's a red flag. Why: Debit card processing is much cheaper. Charging the same fee across the board suggests the fee isn't tied to actual processing costs -- it's just extra revenue layered on top of already‑priced‑in costs. Look for "cash discount" language If the receipt says: * "Non‑cash adjustment" (Happy Egg charges 4% to use a credit card) * "Cash discount applied" ...but the menu prices are already high, it often means: * the "cash discount" is just the real price, * and the card price is inflated on top of it. This is one of the most common double‑dip setups. How to spot when a 6. Watch for restaurants that only recently added a fee If you've been going to a place for years and suddenly see: * a new 3-4% fee * with no change in menu prices ...it's very likely they simply added the fee without adjusting their pricing structure. The simplest rule of thumb If a restaurant: * never lowered menu prices, * adds a credit‑card fee, * and charges the same fee for all cards, you're almost certainly seeing double dipping. restaurant is double dipping

Fresh Egg - Where Diets Go to Die (Happily)…read more Our group of 4 1/2 (yes, somebody only ate half their plate because self-control showed up late ) walked into Fresh Egg thinking we were just grabbing breakfast... and walked out needing a nap and a moment of silence. Let's talk FOOD. That omelet? Fluffy like it trained at egg boot camp. Stuffed with sausage, ham, bacon, cheese basically the Avengers of breakfast. The home fries were crispy golden cubes of perfection. Not soggy. Not greasy. Just straight-up breakfast excellence. The ham slices were thick and flavorful like they meant business. That biscuit sandwich? Soft, buttery, and holding everything together like a breakfast superhero. And those cheesy grits? Creamy enough to make you emotional. Add melted cheddar and it's basically Southern comfort in a bowl. Portions? Generous. Flavor? Elite. Coffee? Flowing like we were at a caffeine convention. Now let's talk about Jonathan Jonathan delivered AMAZING service. Attentive without hovering, friendly without being forced, and on top of everything like a breakfast conductor running a delicious orchestra. Drinks stayed filled, food came out hot, and he made sure our whole crew felt taken care of. That kind of service turns a good meal into a great experience. The vibe inside? Busy, lively, happy breakfast energy everywhere. You can tell this is a spot people return to again and again. Final verdict: We came hungry. We left full. We left smiling. And yes... we'll be back. This spot delivers exactly what it promises, making it a reliable choice for the area. To start, the coffee was great--hot, fresh, and strong. For my main dish, I opted for a Western omelette. It was perfectly fine, a solid choice, if not spectacular. My husband had the egg, bacon, cheese breakfast sandwich and thoroughly enjoyed it. The only reason I'm docking a star is for the side of corn muffins I ordered. They were, unfortunately, a complete letdown. They were hard, dry, and truly tasted like small stones. Even piling on the soft, fresh butter couldn't save them. However, the excellent service and the positive experience with the main dishes and coffee easily outweigh one bad side item. We had a good meal overall, and I would definitely go back again (and just skip the corn muffins next time!).
