Finally tried this place on a Sunday and super hungry after church. I had my eye on the turkey melt so I ordered that with only provolone and not Swiss. One cheese is enough for me haha. But once I got it, first bite was like wow! It was cheesy, gooey, and so flavorful! It almost tasted like a pizza with turkey low key. But it was delicious and I was recommended to try the chicken pesto for next time, so I'll be back! The service was chill. Just go up to the counter and make your order with self seating. Had to come back to try the pastrami breakfast burrito. And it indeed did not disappoint - it just might be the best breakfast burrito I've tried in recent memory! It's loaded with the same pastrami meat that the Reuben has, as well as tots, cheese, and eggs. My favorite item still has to be the sandwich Reuben though, just because I think I slightly prefer that medium - sourdough bread versus the flour tortilla. This place is in a somewhat depressing little strip mall, next to a laundromat, and is somewhat non-descript. Don't let any of that fool you, because what it lacks in eye-appeal and comfort, it more than makes up for it with the delicious food and great, friendly service. Menu is somewhat limited, but promises to soon expand a tiny bit by adding salads and a few other options. We didn't try them, but they offer Nitro coffee, both cold and hot, and some great sounding breakfast options that are not served all day, but look worth visiting again for. The soup is absolutely delicious and should not be missed. My wife had The Classic and loved it, and I had the Reuben, which was SO good. I've driven by dozens of times thinking that there's nothing that sounds better than a meal of bread and cheese. The shop closes at 3:00. We arrived at 2:15. The staff had already flipped all of the stools onto the tables and were clearly closing. They seemed extremely annoyed that we had shown up. My husband ordered the classic and soup combo. I ordered the pizza-grill-zoni and soup combo. We waited 20 minutes for our food. His soup was blazing hot as if it had been microwaved for hours. Mine was lukewarm. His grilled cheese was a little greasy. Mine (described as "Provolone with Pepperoni on Parmesan Marinara Grilled Sourdough") was soggy with grease, and appeared to be exactly the same sandwich as his classic, with the addition of 1/2 slice of pepperoni. I've heard good things about this place, so maybe this was just an off day, but I'm also not in a hurry to try it again. read more

We drove over there and it's not easy to get to, right in Coast Highway and in a busy small strip mall. Luckily there was one parking space so my husband ran in, grabbed everything and we left. On the way to my father's, I asked if he checked that everything was there. He looked in this bag and said, three sandwiches. They forgot the frap. We drove back and I double parked while he ran in. The cashier was unconcerned and said, sorry, and gave him the frap in the freezer. Ummm, that $7 dollar frap was about 8 ounces of nothing special. Grrrr, poor service and overpriced tiny frappe. Ok so the sandwiches were outstanding. Wow! We got the French Onion, the Reuben, and the Burn-a-Nator. Sooooo good. My dad loved his Reuben, authentic, cheesy, very thinly sliced pastrami, garlicky toasted buttered rye. The French Onion was the best sandwich I've had in a long time, and the burn a native was spicy deliciousness. We'll be back, but not for the frap. read more

The is a must go spot when in the Oceanside area of San Diego. They serve breakfast food but also epic grilled cheese sandwhiches, which they are most known for. The grilled cheese I got was literally the best I've had yet. It had a garlic spin to it and was so warm, toasty and cheesy it melted in my mouth, you can also add things in it and I got bacon which was so good. I still think heavily about it! Cutie little eatery in Oceanside, I think would be perfect to go if you were going somewhere close. Nobody wants a soggy grilled cheese! We came here and decided on a breakfast burrito and I am happy to say I've found my new spot!! So delicious, the eggs were cooked perfectly, the salsas on the side are yummy. I believe one of them was chipotle, it was delicious. The place is clean and cute, not the most seating so be aware of that. Tried this place for the first time. Found the place to be nice, bright and very clean. Immediately greeted by a friendly employee upon entering. We ordered the Classic, which consisted of two slices of cheese (cheddar & provolone) on a grilled garlic sourdough and the Turkey Delight, which was provolone and swiss with turkey, sun dried tomato spread and arugula on a balsamic reduction grilled sourdough. Both sandwiches were good and we're glad we ordered them but we can't say we'll return often. I understand prices are up everywhere but had a really hard time paying $9.50 for the classic grilled cheese and $13.50 for the turkey sandwich. Neither of them came with a side. It would have been another $4.00 for fries. We were too cheap for that. As I said, it was good and I'd recommend others give it a try. read more

I have been wanting to check this place out for a while. I was so hungry since I did not eat anything that morning. When I walked up I was not sure if this place was open since the door was closed. It is hard to describe but the flavors kinda melted together so nicley. It didnt feel too heavy or anything. I'm a FOOL for a good Reuben so I know that's what I'll be getting on my next visit. And the coconut curry tomato soup on the menu is calling my name like a siren song. While at the Moonlight Amphitheater in 2023, we tried the grilled cheese and were very impressed. Rich, gooey and large enough to share, if a bit pricey. This week we tried the pulled pork sandwich. While tasty, the portions are vey small, the coleslaw almost nonexistent and the white bread bun was soggy. Way overpriced but I guess that's what we expect now. Conveniently located inside the Amphitheater gives them extra points, but doubt that we'd ever order that again. 4 stars for grilled cheese and convenience. Went here for breakfast. Small staff and interesting approach with rotating sign for afternoon sandwiches. Sausage burrito was flavorful and large . The homemade hot sauce was a perfect compliment. Food was very fresh and made to order. Small staff means you will have to be patient. It is worth the wait. It would be nice if they had hot coffee , but the cold brew choice was wonderful. Parking is silly tight. Side street parking is best. Big improvement over the subway and deli that used to be at this location. Decent space and very clean. Could use some jazz or 80s music . The BEST BREAKFAST BURRITO I have ever had (Bacon Surprise)! We also got the Chipotle Turkey (subbed for chicken) Bacon Avocado sub and it was amazing! I had the soup/sandwich combo... Turkey Delight, the coconut curry tomato soup and of course, added the cheese curds. Sammy was super flavorful, not too much cheese, would order again in house. Bumped down a point because it was take out and by the time I got home (7 minute drive) the bread was fairly soggy. I'd imagine since the dining area is pretty small, many will get delivery or take out. Note to mgmt to either vent the boxes or use less butter/spread to prevent the dreaded sog. Coconut/Tom Curry Soup was nice n warm & flavorful as well - would love an option of just tomato soup, no coconut, etc. but I'd order this again!
