Carne asada taco with green salsa
    Crystal A.

The best tacos in north county! The tortillas are homemade and delicious. The tacos cost a little more than others because the size of the tacos are big. My favorite dishes are the carne asada, Diablo shrimp, and carnitas tacos, enchiladas with green sauce, and all their burritos.

Soc Cal definitely has better tacos than Nor Cal. I feel Nor Cal is late to the party. My favorite was the El Jefe. The bacon rally makes this one. Next was the Carnitas. The flavor and moistness of the pork was so good. Also the tortillas are all home made. Nuff said! I've been here a few times and this will be in our rotation when we visit the area.

Breakfast burritos to start the new year from Valerie's. They don't come with potato's but you can add if you want, they're fries. Burritos made it home large still hot and in charge. Not even mad that mine didn't have potatoes as it's just more filler and these babies were packed with eggs, cheese and bacon / one with ham. Fantastic breakfast burritos. They also have an assortment of about 6 different salsas at their self serve salsa bar. Will be back to try some other menu items. Happy eatjngs ! I ate half and pretty stuffed for now. Simple menu with all the normal taco shop foods

In the parking lot of Winco, this shop has some indoor seating. You order at the counter off their simple, but plentiful menu. The service was prompt and attentive, and when asked if they have tostadas (couldn't find it on the menu), the cook said yes. Several parties were enjoying their dinner at their tables, but several were also ordering take out. We ordered a bean and cheese burrito and a bean tostada, to-go. The refried beans made the burrito a bit dry, but it was still decent with their salsas. Sometimes wet frijoles make a burrito messy and smash out, you know? Their frijoles are on the drier side so they stay put. Their flour tortilla is great! The tostada was made with a freshly fried tortilla with a nice serving of beans and lechuga to make a light dinner. The fact that they had queso (in addition to shredded cheese) was a huge plus! Only wish was fresh tomato on top of the salsa, maybe they have it for request next time. Their salsa bar is honestly one of the best. Their prices right now are a savior too! Thank you for this!!!! We'll be back again. They close early at this location (8 pm), but they have several others that close at 10 pm (according to Yelp).

Needed a flavorful quick meal and they delivered! The location is perfect with a lot of parking and a decent amount of seating. They offer beer and a salsa bar. They play classic Mexican style music and reminded me of a late evening at a family gathering. Service was fast and accommodating to my request.

While waiting for my order, I witnessed one of the employees chopping meat. While chopping the meat, he accidentally dropped a chunk of it in the trashcan at the station he was working at. He looked around and then pick the meat up out of the trash and put it back in the pan. Disgusting! 04/03/25. I decided to give them a second chance since I frequent their other location on Emerald regularly and have been super satisfied with them. I visited the El Camino location twice for breakfast burritos. The first time was awesome. The second time, I found two hairs in my burrito. I just let the first one go, as this happens more than we probably know. After finding the second one, I went in and showed it to the representative and told her she should be wearing a hair net. She also works the register and then goes to the grill to prep food. I never see her wash her hands after performing a transaction before cooking the food.

Probably the smallest chile relleno found on the planet served with enchilada sauce. I've had better.

The Carne Asada burrito was already good by itself, but the salsas are what took it to the next level great spot!

The tacos are like a food stand. They aren't amazing, but they are good. The service is kind but the ambiance is no-existent.

Came in for an early dinner and to try this place out. Have heard many things via social media…read more For starters, we got complimentary chips & salsa. The salsa was good IMO, though the rest of the table thought it was too spicy. For drinks we chose a Mexican Candy ($15) and Hibiscus Margarita ($14). They were okay. I think not really worth the price (barely any buzz). I'll probably stick with a beer next time but that's okay. For food, we ordered the Chile Relleno & Cheese Enchilada ($20), Queso Birria Taco Plate ($18) and for me, the Fajita Mixta ($26). Everyone liked their food. For me, I've had better fajitas elsewhere (Mariscos Hualtulco is my fav) but these were still good (except no green bell pepper for some reason). I noticed the *new* menu price for the fajitas was $29 (Mixta), but on the bill it was still $26 (old menu price). So be aware, the new price is coming obviously. I want to try the Molcajete but $38 is a stretch! Atmosphere was okay. It was a Saturday and although it was early, I expected a more vibrant feel, but maybe that comes later in the night. There was plenty of seating. Parking was okay, but the lot was oddly packed however even though the restaurant was not. I would come back to try something else on the menu, but with so many great Mexican options in our area, they need that extra something to attract more patrons. A happy hour with $10 margs for starters would be nice.

This place is great!…read more Wife and I came out on a date night to this local spot we've been trying to come to for months. It was on a Friday night, the place was packed, and difficult to find a spot to park. The line to order was almost out the door, but still fast to get through, and we were quick to choose what we wanted before struggling to find a spot to sit and talk. After about 15 minutes, our order was ready and we got to enjoy our food. We started with the Carne Asada Nachos, Refried Beans on the side. The meat was flavorful, very tender, and plentiful atop a pile of crisp and fresh tortilla chips. The cheese was nice and salty and the sour cream was warm to the point where it drizzled over it all nicely. All in all, it was a very tasty start to the night. The only two issues I had with it were that the guac was a bit overly pureed, making it kind of runny. And the refried beans had a very sour flavor, making me think that they were over the edge of going spoiled. I had to thank my wife's aversion to eating beans, helping us avoid having them spooned on top, which would have ruined this course. I also had an Al Pastor Taco, Craft Coast Style. The whole it was crisped up well, the cheese forming a great crust on the inside of the taco. The meat was sweetly marinaded, flavorful and delicious. On top of it was a good amount of beans, onions, cilantro, and guacamole, making for a good sized taco without any overflowing. It was pretty damn tasty. So, our first trip out here had more highs than lows, resulting in a very positive initial dinner. I'm sure those beans were just a one-off, at least I hope they were. And there's still hope that the guac may have had too much lime or had been overly mixed this time around. A second trip is definitely in the cards, with more of the family to expand what comes to the table.
