Best chile relleno and enchilada plate I ever had!!! They make their tortillas in house with fresh masa. Their salsa is bomb!! And the owner was super nice and personable. The beans are Peruvian and way healthier you guys will love it!!! Love that it's kid friendly. Great atmosphere overall. Great vibes.

IPA and surf and turf quesadilla

We arrived and I guess they had a slow day and had just closed the kitchen early. The guy who I think was the owner said no problem we can make two more things. The surf and turf quesadilla was fabulous and I had enough left over for lunch the next day. Good chips and salsa too.

Molcajete, Evaga Fries, Quesabirria tacos

Highly recommend the quesabirria tacos, those were so good. The Cali burrito was also really good. Molcajete was alright, it was a fun thing to get for the whole table, it's a bit spicy. Evaga fries were pretty good too, nothing too special but it does come with carne asada and shrimp so that was good. One of our friends got the chicken quesadilla but they said it wasn't good, but it is large in size for $13. Inside wasn't the most nice, the lighting was hard to look at, but service was decent everything came out pretty fast for our huge party of 7.

This past weekend, my partner and I checked out a little Mexican spot in a shopping plaza. From the outside, it might not look like much -- but don't judge a book by its cover. We had the loaded fries with steak and shrimp, and they nailed it: perfectly cooked, tender meat, juicy shrimp, crispy fries, and no skimping on the protein. I went for the Baja fish burrito, which was fresh, flavorful, and delicious. Both cocktails were spot-on( forgot the names) Prices are a bit on the higher side for a small plaza spot, but with food and service this good, it's absolutely worth it. We'll be back!

I absolutely loved our waiter and the drinks and food were amazing. They are so attentive !! We were able to share and nothing left.

Sometimes it may seem like Oceanside is lacking in establishments that offer some nightlife entertainment options. Introducing EVAGA LOUNGE. Opened in 2023, Evaga is Oceanside's premier tequila lounge that serves up some of the best quality Mexican dishes & tequila just east of the 5 Hwy. Located on Oceanside Blvd, just east of Frazier Farms and in the Dunkin Donuts parking lot, Evaga Lounge features live music & DJs, club-style lighting, a dance floor and some truly delicious food & drinks. Although many consider this area to be "sketchy", there have been more businesses opening up in this area and it is developing fast. There is also a huge apartment complex being built across the street, so there is a lot of money being poured into the area. Evaga Lounge offers spacious interior dining that is perfect for families & large groups. They have ample table-seating and there's also a full-size bar & lots televisions to watch sports & entertainment. When desired, they clear the tables from the center, revealing a giant dance-floor, turn on the disco-lighting, cue the DJ and they turn into a club that's perfect for celebrations & parties. What I really appreciate is that although this tequila bar specializes in margaritas, their skilled mixologists can craft any tasty concoction for you from their full bar of spirits. The owners, Mike & George, run a smooth ship. I can see them constantly making small improvements to operations. Evaga Lounge are famous for their Chicharrones Tacos that were showcased at THE O'SIDE FLAVOR 2023. But they also have delicious caldos, burritos, aguachiles, nachos & fries plates, birria ramen, mariscos, ceviche and a full array of tacos, all with handmade tortillas. Overall, I feel Evaga Lounge is a great addition to the Oceanside nightlife scene, with great drinks & really flavorful Mexican dishes and the perfect location. I recommend

What a great find!! While on the hunt for a place to eat, we stumbled on this place and my goodness... we were so lucky to have found it. Food was amazing!!! From the chips and salsa to all of the various dishes our party had.... Food was Authentic and the flavors were spot on. They were very accommodating for our large party of ten and quickly sat us. I wish I would have taken pictures of all of the food but I was wrapped up enjoying the vibe of the establishment and the company of my friends and family. Will retun when down in Oceanside for sure.

First of all, kudos to the bartender--I forgot her name, but she was incredibly generous and kind. She accidentally forgot my drink and kept apologizing, but I told her it was totally fine since we had a large party. To make up for it, she gave me two shots instead of one and even added a big discount. The ambiance of this place is unique and very artsy. If you're looking for a cool, one-of-a-kind spot to hang out, this is it. There's so much attention to detail throughout--even the restroom door is thoughtfully designed with a modern, creative touch. My friend ordered a variety of cocktails, and everyone enjoyed them. The food was great as well. I ordered the hummus plate, and it was the best I've ever had--so fresh and served in a generous portion. My friends tried the pizza and a few other items from the menu, and everything got a thumbs up. If you're in the area looking for a cool place to hang out or planning a party, this is the spot. I'll definitely be back again soon.

First off, they have a "wait to be seated" sign at their entrance, but it took a while to get anyone to seat us. When we were inside, we noticed there was another entrance and people were just walking in, so "waiting to be seated" was just an option? We ordered a beer and seltzer and it took easily 10-15 minutes to get our drinks. Drinks that were in cans by the way. Music was good, DJs were good, but the whole vibe of the place is kinda everywhere. This lighting in this place needs to be more dimmed. DJs are spinning right in the middle of the room, and there's a clothes rack just chilling against the wall. The baristas are way in the back, and you can't really tell who works there. It took equally as long to get the check as it did to get my drinks. We only had 1 round of drinks. I dunno, waiting for canned drinks just threw me off. I can't imagine how much longer it would have taken to get a mixed cocktail. I only saw one guy mixing drinks and a bunch of women just hanging around. I'm assuming workers that look like they don't work there.

I have no idea why it's called Haig's but it's a short order food honeyhole. It's hard to find a breakfast that's got this much value. Bacon, eggs, sausage, english muffin, pancakes for $8. All their lunches are filling and inexpensive. A great way to keep you fueled for multi hour table runs. They have American and Asian menus, while kinda taste the same, but they have some bangers. Staff is fantastic, hustler, hospitable, great service. Drink prices are chill and worth every penny. They will almost never cut you off unless you get violent or slur your speach bad, fall asleep. Parking is still terrible, parking across the street may get you ticketed/towed if you park there overnight, so try and park as close as possible to get on the cameras. Lots of homeless in the area, but none in the card rooms. Bathrooms are high traffic, but actually kinda clean. Even after all these years I'm still up on them eventhough with the legalization of online betting I still have reason to come here despite doing it all online or roulette in Vegas.

They used to have a simple, perfectly fine system where you could call in and put your name on the board for poker games. Easy. Convenient. Player-friendly. Now? That's gone. Instead, they're forcing everyone to download an app just to get on a list. Why? Not everyone wants to download another app. Some people don't have the space. Some people don't trust giving random third-party apps access to their phone. And believe it or not, some people *don't even have smartphones*. So what, those players just don't matter anymore? That's not innovation--that's exclusion. If you want to OFFER an app, great. Give people options. But completely removing the ability to call in is just lazy and tone-deaf. It shows zero consideration for your actual customer base. And this isn't the first time management has ignored players. The chip color change on the 4/8 table from blue to pink? Almost nobody liked it. Players spoke up. And just like now--nothing. No listening, no adjustments, no care. At this point, the place feels like our current government--quick to take your money, but not interested in listening to the people who actually keep the lights on. The players are the ones funding this place, and yet their voices couldn't matter less. It really feels like the people making these decisions don't play here, don't talk to players, and frankly don't care. There's no focus on improving the player experience--just unnecessary changes that frustrate everyone. Heartless, out-of-touch management. If you're going to make changes, at least make ones that *help* your customers, not push them away. If I see any changes or improvement, I will remove this comment.

A total time of 3 hours for dinner and the restaurant itself was flashing lights to indicate it was closing. You would think that would mean they hurried to get us settled out. Nope, the employees were just talking to each other and starting to close down...and apparently forgot about us. Some of our party started to leave because it was way too long to wait. The food was overall fine. Some plates were good and some were lackluster. The decor was sophisticated and obviously going for an upscale vibe. The bill finally came after we asked multiple times and it totaled over $1,000 and it really was dissatisfying. I would recommend everyone take their business elsewhere. There are better spots to blow some cash.
