If we could give 10 stars they deserve them Restaurant has good acoustics so not hard on the ears as far as noise Draft beer nice assortment and ice cold Homemade tortillas and chips and salsa, how can you go wrong The food was fresh, tasty, delicious, totally awesome, Eric and Katie amazing host it was like being home and with friends for a home cooked meal. Service was spectacular What can we say totally worth a visit when in the area This will be our place to eat going forward.

Green chilaquiles
Lili C.

If you're craving real, authentic chilaquiles, do yourself a favor and check out EVAGA in Oceanside! I wasn't looking for a plate of chips with sauce poured on top...I wanted fresh, homemade chilaquiles, and this place absolutely delivered. The presentation was beautiful, but more importantly, the flavor was exactly what I had been craving. Every bite tasted fresh, comforting, and made with care. It honestly made my day! The restaurant was spotless, and having FIFA matches playing in the background made the atmosphere feel relaxed, fun, and welcoming. It was the perfect place to enjoy a slow breakfast. On top of the amazing food, the customer service was excellent. The owner was incredibly friendly and welcoming, making the whole experience even better. If you're looking for a hidden breakfast gem in Oceanside, EVAGA is definitely worth a visit.

California burrito

Evanga Lounge is what you can expect for your typical California local Mexican restaurant. Located in a strip mall close to the beach in Oceanside California. The service was good and they had a lot of things to choose from on their menu and bar. I thought their prices were average and the burrito was a good value. I wasn't blown away by the food but would stop by again if I was visiting

Quesabirria with ramen added on

This place is the BEST omg!! What I got in these pics wasn't on the menu but I asked for quesabirria tacos with ramen added and they even put it on the taco and I'm so happy because it was absolutely amazing. Everyone at the table tried it and was obsessed! The woman taking my order was so attentive and accommodating especially with my weird request lol! The cocktails are also amazing, I had the hibiscus cocktail and it was delicious! 1000/10 I'll be back!

Molcajete, Evaga Fries, Quesabirria tacos
Naomi S.

Highly recommend the quesabirria tacos, those were so good. The Cali burrito was also really good. Molcajete was alright, it was a fun thing to get for the whole table, it's a bit spicy. Evaga fries were pretty good too, nothing too special but it does come with carne asada and shrimp so that was good. One of our friends got the chicken quesadilla but they said it wasn't good, but it is large in size for $13. Inside wasn't the most nice, the lighting was hard to look at, but service was decent everything came out pretty fast for our huge party of 7.

Loaded fries

This past weekend, my partner and I checked out a little Mexican spot in a shopping plaza. From the outside, it might not look like much -- but don't judge a book by its cover. We had the loaded fries with steak and shrimp, and they nailed it: perfectly cooked, tender meat, juicy shrimp, crispy fries, and no skimping on the protein. I went for the Baja fish burrito, which was fresh, flavorful, and delicious. Both cocktails were spot-on( forgot the names) Prices are a bit on the higher side for a small plaza spot, but with food and service this good, it's absolutely worth it. We'll be back!

Hibiscus Marg ($14) and Mexican Candy ($15)
Erich C.

Came in for an early dinner and to try this place out. Have heard many things via social media. For starters, we got complimentary chips & salsa. The salsa was good IMO, though the rest of the table thought it was too spicy. For drinks we chose a Mexican Candy ($15) and Hibiscus Margarita ($14). They were okay. I think not really worth the price (barely any buzz). I'll probably stick with a beer next time but that's okay. For food, we ordered the Chile Relleno & Cheese Enchilada ($20), Queso Birria Taco Plate ($18) and for me, the Fajita Mixta ($26). Everyone liked their food. For me, I've had better fajitas elsewhere (Mariscos Hualtulco is my fav) but these were still good (except no green bell pepper for some reason). I noticed the *new* menu price for the fajitas was $29 (Mixta), but on the bill it was still $26 (old menu price). So be aware, the new price is coming obviously. I want to try the Molcajete but $38 is a stretch! Atmosphere was okay. It was a Saturday and although it was early, I expected a more vibrant feel, but maybe that comes later in the night. There was plenty of seating. Parking was okay, but the lot was oddly packed however even though the restaurant was not. I would come back to try something else on the menu, but with so many great Mexican options in our area, they need that extra something to attract more patrons. A happy hour with $10 margs for starters would be nice.

IPA and surf and turf quesadilla
Nanci I.

We arrived and I guess they had a slow day and had just closed the kitchen early. The guy who I think was the owner said no problem we can make two more things. The surf and turf quesadilla was fabulous and I had enough left over for lunch the next day. Good chips and salsa too.

Wow! New favorite Mexican restaurant in Oceanside! Well north county! Food was incredible- loved the hand made tortillas. Jorge was great! Managing everything on his own but still created a welcoming and friendly environment. Got to hear his story and how the business got started. Will 100% be back!

That said, after multiple visits, the service has consistently been the weak point. It can be slow and doesn't quite match the upscale experience or price point you'd expect from a rooftop like this. At these prices, I'd expect a level of service closer to what you'd receive at a high-end resort, and unfortunately it hasn't been there. You're definitely paying a premium for the location and view. I'd still recommend checking it out, especially for drinks, sunset, or a date night, but keep your expectations realistic when it comes to service and value.

It's beautiful at the top, we didn't really have a great view from our seats - but it also seemed like if you are a larger group there isn't too many options. The main area seemed to be more shaded than the pool area, so half our group was in the sun and the other half were shaded, thankfully there was a breeze! We specifically went for the happy hour drinks and they were delicious!!! Service was good - our waitress was friendly. I will recommend this place to anyone visiting the area on the future!

Everything was great honestly. No complaints. My wife REALLY loved the braised pork shoulder. My steak was excellent and even though it was free, $32 for a ribeye is the lowest you'll find anywhere. Even though I somehow manage to lose almost every time I visit (the players always seem to beat me! ), I've always had a good time overall. The atmosphere is usually fun, the staff has generally been friendly, and I have to give credit where it's due--the house chow mein is phenomenal and honestly one of my favorite things to order whenever I'm there. Unfortunately, my experience on August 4th between approximately 7:30 and 8:00 PM completely changed the tone of the evening. The dealer working Table 19, Matt, was incredibly rude and came across as if he didn't want to be there. It wasn't just directed at me either--it seemed like everyone at the table noticed his attitude. You could tell by the reactions from the other players that they were just as surprised by how he was interacting with guests. As a General Manager of a restaurant, I understand better than most that customer service isn't always easy. We all have stressful days, difficult guests, and moments where we'd rather be anywhere else. Hospitality can be exhausting. But at the end of the day, whether you're serving food or dealing cards, you're still in the hospitality industry. Guests are choosing to spend their money at your business, and your attitude can completely shape their experience. I'm not expecting someone to be overly energetic or fake, but a smile, some professionalism, and basic courtesy go a long way--especially in a position where tips are part of the job. I would encourage management to review the camera footage from Table 19 during that time frame. It should give a clear picture of the interactions that took place. If possible, speaking with some of the players who were at that table may also provide valuable feedback, as it definitely didn't seem like I was the only one who felt uncomfortable with the experience. This review isn't meant to attack the casino as a whole because I've genuinely had many enjoyable visits here. It's simply disappointing when one employee's attitude overshadows what has otherwise been a place I've enjoyed coming back to. I'm giving 2 stars because I still like Ocean's Eleven overall, the food is excellent, and I've had plenty of great experiences in the past. I just hope management addresses situations like this so future guests receive the welcoming experience that keeps people coming back.

The rooftop has such a pretty aesthetic with the umbrellas, decor, bar, and plenty of shaded seating. The view was nice, too! The Bananarama drinks were 10/10. They're non-alcoholic, super yummy, and SO cute. Honestly, I'd go back just for those. My breakfast sandwich with the potatoes was also really good solid 7/10. My mom got the butterscotch donuts and said they were to die for A few things could be better: the paper menus looked pretty worn compared to the cute menus I'd seen online, and some of the outdoor pillows definitely looked like they needed a wash/replacement. I also noticed that some of the food I saw people raving about on Yelp is from an older menu, so definitely check the current menu before getting your heart set on something. And honestly, that would be cool if the flow was there, but you can kind of tell that all the ideas aren't fully there yet. For starters, the drinks are expensive, which I get because you're in Oceanside by the beach and I'm sure rent isn't cheap. But man, I paid $18 for a coffee-style cocktail and it was pretty bad. They put this whipped cream on top that just didn't work with the drink and was actually pretty nasty. They definitely put alcohol in it, which was good I guess, but overall it was probably one of the worst cocktails I've had in a while. My wife and I also walked up to the bar and waited to be attended. One of the waitresses was busy cleaning and organizing things, going back and forth from inside to outside, while another waitress was socializing with a group of guys for probably 6-7 minutes before noticing us standing at the front of the bar. I really don't mind waiting, but when you combine that with the quality of the drinks and the lack of attention, it just makes it seem like no one really cares that much. That's kind of why I made the comment in the beginning. The place has a cool idea behind it, but you can tell it's missing some of the professionalism and attention to detail that comes with running a good bar. The one thing that really saves this place is the view. It's a really nice view, and during sunset I can definitely see why people come here. Other than that though, I personally wouldn't spend my money here again.

Our server was genuinely kind and noticed small details about our family throughout the night, going out of her way to make sure everyone -- baby included -- felt taken care of. The ambiance is gorgeous. It's a smaller restaurant, but well appointed, with a visible open kitchen and bar that give it energy without sacrificing intimacy. It's family-friendly, but easily works for a date night too. Drinks were alcohol-forward and well made. Mine was similar to a very well-crafted old fashioned. For appetizers, we had the oysters and the pea soup. The oysters were very good, though the greens mixed in made them a bit tricky to swallow whole. The pea soup, on the other hand, was delicious. For mains, my wife had the sea bass and I had the pork schnitzel. My wife raved about the sea bass, saying it tasted a league or two above what the price would suggest. My schnitzel was equally delicious -- perfectly deep-fried, with vegetables on the side that cut nicely through the richness. Price came out to about $85 per person, which felt very reasonable given the quality across the board.
