Pollo asada taco and carne asada taco
    Sue H.

Tacos 1975 is one of many small restaurant slots inside the Crackheads complex in Oceanside. The central bar has happy hour, and there is cornhole and kid/ dog friendly play areas. Came in for Taco Tuesday only to discover the only tacos on special were the fried fish, disappointing. Because I am gluten-free I do not eat battered and fried fish, only grilled. So I just had pollo asada and carne asada at full price. These are actually really fabulous tacos, if you are willing to pay $5 each. They're huge, so we really only needed two tacos each. Husband had one fish and one pollo asada. He had them put the guacamole on the side for me because he doesn't eat avocado, and I was pleased by the generous serving. I really liked the corn tortillas, they were an irregular shape and clearly handmade and fresh. The Pollo asada taco had some sort of orange mayo based sauce on it that was surprisingly good when I usually avoid these. The carne asada was browned and crunchy with onions, cilantro and guac. Again I can't say enough good things about the corn tortillas here. Go try them! So we sat at a picnic table with our waters brought from home, and ate our tacos and left, there's really no pomp and circumstance here. But good food, and it would be fun to go with a group and hang out awhile.

This is my go to restaurant in Crackheads. They have been great every time. All of the entrees have been amazing and the salsas are super flavorful. The service is pretty quick and the staff are super friendly. My favorites are the chorizo breakfast burrito and the churros. It's all patio seating, but the space heaters keep the place from getting too chilly.

This place is located at Crackheads, an outdoor pet friendly seating area with a few different food stands. We tried the breakfast burrito, which had sausage, egg, cheese, and hash browns. The burrito itself was pretty tasty, and I loved the cilantro crème sauce that it came with.

Tacos 1975 is in the new Crackheads collective off PCH in Oside. It's probably the least greasy Mexican food I've ever had. Service isn't friendly but whatever. Meat is great. They grill the outside of the burrito which is great. They have pastor and guac. What more do you want. They serve the agua frescas with no ice but you can get some ice on the side. Great place to meet friends and catch up.

Al pastor taco (no onion), carne asada taco, and birria tacos. 10/10 sooo good!

Got the carne asada nachos, the carne asada was excellent. The nachos would have been amazing with more toppings, but the carne was excellent! Service was just fine, but the ambience is what you would want to come here for. It's fun outdoor yard and socialize setting is great! Highly recommend.

    Carne asada burrito & tacos.

Very cool vibe around the store and the setup. Easy customer service and awesome food. High quality steak for sure in all burritos and tacos we ate. 10/10, highly recommend you stop by.

It's yet another non bougie review from your non bougie reviewer..... ME!! So, no one star views to debunk, butttttt I saw some complaints about the service.... I had to think about this one...it's a walk up pop up.... so let's go! I walked up and the cashier was sooooo nice. A short conversation before the order then the order. When I came back to pick up my Al Pastor burrito she was again sooooo nice!!!! She's waiving at kids walking by, talking to everyone she can.... if you had a problem with that service maybe the problem isn't them. Just saying... Anyway, the burrito!!! I had it with the Serrano green sauce... I tell you what, drop what you're doing and come here!!!! Its pet friendly kid friendly booze is flowing.... LFG!!!! We're from Riverside but we'd come back here for this vide food and drinks!!!

You guys! This place is ACTUALLY so f good. I tried all the tacos. They're all great but my favorite was Sonora & Al Pastor! Don't skip the Churros, best churros of my life! And I'm Mexican! I don't play about my churros lol

Fish taco, birria, and carne asada taco for me and some chips and guac! The salsas were good ton

This was my first taste of CA tacos this trip and it did not disappoint! this place was dead a little after noon on a Monday, but the service was great. The ambiance is nice and the food was good... not sure if it's cause I was starving after a cross country flight or if really was just that good... but I'll be back again to try other options!

Ginormous Burrito! Came on a Wednesday afternoon and there were only a few people which was great. The service isn't the best. The cashier wasn't super friendly but it's one of those places where you order and get a beeper so it's not a big deal. We ordered the mar y Tierra burrito, carne asada quesadilla, and an al pastor taco with chips and guacamole and a agua de Jamaica. For being the only ones around, it did take about 20+ minutes to get our food which is a little long. The whole thing was about $50.00 The burrito was huge! And very tasty. My husband said it was better than taco stand. The chips were good, the quesadilla was very tasty and wasn't super greasy and didn't have a greasy feel which I was surprised about. The guacamole isn't really guac, it's just mashed up avocado with a little onion in it, but I rarely find real guacamole at places. The agua fresca was not too sweet and hit the spot. I would definitely come back!

They have the best molcajete and fajitas around, at the best prices. We are here just to see if Cocina Del Mar is better. Long story short: it's not. However, their ceviche is AMAZING. Best ceviche I have had in north county San Diego outside of Dija Mara (which has the best ceviche in the known universe). It is extremely fresh and not overpowered by acidity, fishy smells or rubbery shrimp. The ceviche here is legit. Great. AND ONLY $10 (for cameron). If you order anything here, get the ceviche first. I'm anxious to try their aguachile now. We also ordered the fajitas ("suprema" with chicken, steak and shrimp). Fajitas did not come out sizzling at all. I have never seen this before. Also, there were only two shrimp. The steak/carne was bland and dry. Not great. Wife ordered the Sopes (3) and mother ordered the Enchiladas Cameron. The sopes were okay, but a bit bland. Wife had to salt everything on the plate. The enchiladas had a sauce my mom said was too sweet. She wasn't a fan. For all three dishes to be a miss is completely strange considering the sheer number of 5-star reviews. I want to believe. We must have come on an off-day, but the place was busy. Quite a few larger parties were here, so this place is popular with the natives. We also grabbed a Model and a Corona. Only $5 for the beers! Total for everything came to $117.64 (with tip). I would absolutely come back for the ceviche and to give them another shot by trying a different dish. I snapped pics of the menu so you can see the latest prices. Check it out.

Not great, necessarily, but good and the prices are some of the best around. They have a ton of options, and lots of drinks, including beer. We were just picking up, and it was a very hot day. The restaurant didn't have any air-conditioning so it was quite warm inside. Most people were eating outside. As a gentleman wearing a hair net asked us if we wanted our food for here or to go, he stopped mid sentence to say they were closing and we could only have to go food. I didn't realize they were closing soon and wouldn't have minded to have our food to go. However, the employee who took our order treated us rudely and we didn't feel welcome. Still gave them the benefit of the doubt and tipped 20%. When we got home, my sister found a hair in her mouth from inside the food, which grossed us both out. The guy that was helping her at the register stopped midway to fiddle with his hairnet and take it off. Our food was served cold and strange smelling. We don't go out to eat as much since we can't afford it, so it's kind of a special occasion to go out when we can. This experience put a bad taste in our mouths to say the least when we could have really used a hot meal made with love. We will not be coming back. As a Cali Native now living in…read morethe great state of Texas, sometimes it's refreshing to step outside the land of Tex‑Mex and get the real deal again. Colima's hits that spot every single time. When you walk in, the person behind the counter greets you immediately -- and not the dry "hi, what can I get you?" type of greeting. You get a full "¡Buenos días, mija!" with that warm, almost‑grito energy that makes you feel like you just walked into your tío's spot instead of a restaurant. Super friendly, super natural, and very SoCal. I ordered the rolled tacos plate and wow... esa porción estaba gigante. I couldn't finish it. What I loved most was the meat; this is what meat is supposed to taste like. The beef was seasoned the way we grew up eating it: a little salty, a little savory, with that slow‑cooked tenderness that lets you know it didn't come from some pre‑bagged, mystery‑meat situation. You get hints of garlic, a little cumin, and that warm, almost toasty flavor that comes from meat that's actually been browned, not steamed. It tasted like someone's abuela was in the back saying, "No, no, déjalo dorar un poquito más. And the corn tortillas? Perfect. Thin enough to get that crisp roll, thick enough not to shatter. None of that flour‑tortilla‑trying‑to‑be‑crispy nonsense. These were crunchy, flavorful, and loaded. The toppings were just as good. The guacamole tasted fresh. You could taste the real avocado which was creamy, a little chunky, with lime that actually tasted like lime and not concentrate. The red salsa had a legit kick to it. It had hints of roasted chiles, was smoky and had a slightly bitter edge that tells you they actually roasted them instead of just tossing raw peppers into a blender. It wasn't tourist spicy; it was SoCal Mexican‑restaurant spicy, which is a whole different category. My partner ordered a breakfast burrito and honestly? That thing could've fed three people. It was massive, stuffed to the brim with cheese, egg, potatoes, and fresh bacon and exactly what a SoCal breakfast burrito should be: simple, hearty, and no shortcuts. Between the portions, the flavor, and the service that feels like home, this spot stays on my list every time I'm in Oceanside. If you're craving real Mexican food and not Tex‑Mex, pull up. You'll leave full and happy. #supportlocal
