Fat taken out of the quesadilla
    Ruben M.

We ordered food last night and honestly won't be going back. The quesadilla was supposed to have asada, but it was mostly chewy fat--pretty disappointing and not appetizing at all. We saved the leftovers for lunch, opened it up today, and it was full of fat. Definitely not the quality we expected. If you're ordering takeout, I'd suggest checking the meat before you leave--unless you're okay with that kind of texture. Glad I didn't order tacos.

AGUA FRESCA (5 stars) Why must an Agua Fresca be a must? They are so refreshing. I couldn't decide which flavor to sip on and was told I could mix them and that it tastes better when you do. Went for the two flavors I couldn't decide on.! JAMAICA + MELON - wow. Getting the best of both worlds. Ok why have I not thought about this before. It is hard to describe but if you have had both flavors, imagine both, it's like a party quencher in the mouth!!! HIGHLY RECOMMEND! Until the next sip...

Tried Frida's Taqueria for the first time and got the al pastor fries absolutely loaded and flavorful. The meat was tender, crispy on the edges, and freshly carved right in front of us at the taquero window. Loved the setup: you order at the register, then take your receipt to the window where everything is made to order. Super fresh, super satisfying. Bonus points for the salsa bar a great selection to customize your plate. Casual spot with serious flavor. Definitely coming back to try more.

Great, great, great tacos. I only ordered tacos ($3.75 each) and they were very good. I got a carne asada, adobada, and cabeza taco, which came with guac, onion cilantro, salsa, and protected with double tortillas. Carne asada was the best, then cabeza, and then adobada. These tacos had that smoky flavor you like on street tacos, which is oftentimes missing in brick and mortar taquerias. The carne asada and adobada was marinated and seasoned very well and deeply. There was a depth of flavor that ascended past just salt and fat. The cabeza was super juicy and fatty, more on the salty side if you are into that. Cabeza is more of a softer, rendered meat so don't be alarmed when you order it. Service was good, and it was decently timed. You order at the register, then pickup at a window. Very clean and ample seating at this location. On tacos alone, I'm very impressed and these were super delicious. I'll definitely come back because they have that secret marination down.

Baked potato topped with adobada, cheese, onion, cilantro, and guacamole

Easily some of the best nachos I've had in a while. The adobada was amazing and has a hint of sweet. The asada has a great char to it adding to the flavor itself. The baked potato was massive and cooked to perfection. I had it topped with adobada and as I mentioned before, it's amazing!

After discovering this spot we do not get tacos anywhere else. These food here is so fresh and authentic. There is a wide array of choices, from tacos, burritos, queso tacos, birrias and more! There's also many different Agua Frescas. There are two lines- one to order and one to pick up food. When you get to the front they'll ask you what you'd like on your meals. There's even a side bar with lime, radishes and cucumbers. The staff is friendly. They do have restrooms. Plenty of tables. And the ambiance is superb! So if you're in town come try them out. You won't regret it. Warning: The line is pretty long on Tuesdays- but believe me it's worth it.

This was my first time visiting the Frida's Taqueria in Oceanside, and I have to say; I love it even more than the San Marcos location! From the moment I walked in, the service was quick and friendly. I really like how you can watch your food being made right in front of you. It makes the whole experience feel fresh and personal. The restaurant itself is very clean, spacious, and surprisingly big for a taco shop. I feel like this location is a bit underrated because everything from the service to the food quality was top-notch. Another thing I appreciate is that the restrooms are easily accessible and spotless (which is always a big deal for me!). Plus, it's conveniently located right off the freeway, making it super easy to stop by whether you're local or just passing through. Overall, Frida's Taqueria in Oceanside definitely won me over fresh food, fast service, clean environment, and great location. I'll definitely be coming back!

The tacos are always made fresh to order and they include guacamole. Tacos are $1.99 on Taco Tuesday. I did see a sign saying there is now Taco Thursdays as well. The lines can get long during lunch and dinner hours but service is fast. You can either dine in or get your order to go.

Extremely delicious carne asada burrito , carne asada tacos and grilled chicken tacos. Flavors are so well balanced. They don't play about the salsa it's tasty and packs a great kick so if you can't handle spice. Maybe get salsa on the side. On a Wednesday evening the line was short and everyone was very nice and helpful. Took the food to go and it stayed intact and very fresh. The place is very legit/traditional and has beautiful mural on the outside. You can sit inside or outside. It's a vibe .

Food is top notch! The tacos taste like street tacos. The flavor of open fire on the carne asada is soooo gooood! We had the quesadilla con carne asada Carne asada fries and tacos de adobada The service was excellent. The ambiance is so nice. Makes me feel like a taco shop in mexico.

Their specialty are tacos. I tried quesa carnitas tacos. They are nice size. I ate two and was the right amount for me. They also make homemade aquas with several flavors to choose. I had strawberry lemonade. Real strawberry pieces but a little too sweet for me. The ladies working the register were friendly and informative of the special pricing on Tuesday and Thursday. A beautiful mural of Frida at the entrance. Indoor and outdoor seating. Very casual. It was very hot the day I went and no air conditioning so we sat outside.

I love going here. It's nearby and it gets super crowded on taco Tuesday. It hits the spot especially being located in North county.

Came in for an early dinner and to try this place out. Have heard many things via social media…read more For starters, we got complimentary chips & salsa. The salsa was good IMO, though the rest of the table thought it was too spicy. For drinks we chose a Mexican Candy ($15) and Hibiscus Margarita ($14). They were okay. I think not really worth the price (barely any buzz). I'll probably stick with a beer next time but that's okay. For food, we ordered the Chile Relleno & Cheese Enchilada ($20), Queso Birria Taco Plate ($18) and for me, the Fajita Mixta ($26). Everyone liked their food. For me, I've had better fajitas elsewhere (Mariscos Hualtulco is my fav) but these were still good (except no green bell pepper for some reason). I noticed the *new* menu price for the fajitas was $29 (Mixta), but on the bill it was still $26 (old menu price). So be aware, the new price is coming obviously. I want to try the Molcajete but $38 is a stretch! Atmosphere was okay. It was a Saturday and although it was early, I expected a more vibrant feel, but maybe that comes later in the night. There was plenty of seating. Parking was okay, but the lot was oddly packed however even though the restaurant was not. I would come back to try something else on the menu, but with so many great Mexican options in our area, they need that extra something to attract more patrons. A happy hour with $10 margs for starters would be nice.

It was on a Friday night, the place was packed, and difficult to find a spot to park. The line to order was almost out the door, but still fast to get through, and we were quick to choose what we wanted before struggling to find a spot to sit and talk. After about 15 minutes, our order was ready and we got to enjoy our food. We started with the Carne Asada Nachos, Refried Beans on the side. The meat was flavorful, very tender, and plentiful atop a pile of crisp and fresh tortilla chips. The cheese was nice and salty and the sour cream was warm to the point where it drizzled over it all nicely. All in all, it was a very tasty start to the night. The only two issues I had with it were that the guac was a bit overly pureed, making it kind of runny. And the refried beans had a very sour flavor, making me think that they were over the edge of going spoiled. I had to thank my wife's aversion to eating beans, helping us avoid having them spooned on top, which would have ruined this course. I also had an Al Pastor Taco, Craft Coast Style. The whole it was crisped up well, the cheese forming a great crust on the inside of the taco. The meat was sweetly marinaded, flavorful and delicious. On top of it was a good amount of beans, onions, cilantro, and guacamole, making for a good sized taco without any overflowing. It was pretty damn tasty. So, our first trip out here had more highs than lows, resulting in a very positive initial dinner. I'm sure those beans were just a one-off, at least I hope they were. And there's still hope that the guac may have had too much lime or had been overly mixed this time around. A second trip is definitely in the cards, with more of the family to expand what comes to the table.
