For whatever reason, the Yelp orders haven't been coming through, even though they're still being paid for. I wasn't in a rush, so it wasn't a big deal for me. While I was waiting, I got to try samples of a couple of their drinks, and they were amazing--so fresh! I saw at least seven people come in just for the drinks, so they're clearly popular. Mariana greeted me with a smile and immediately explained what had happened. She put a rush on my food order and even gave me my favorite drink for free because of the inconvenience. That kind of hospitality really stood out to me. Thank you for your kindness and excellent customer service. I pray the Lord returns your kindness abundantly. God bless! read more

This was the second time I had Frida's Tacos catered for our parties. And I'm so glad I did. They are so professional with set up and clean up. The presentation was really nice. My family and friends loved everything. With catering you get rice and beans, chips and salsa's. All the taco fixings. 2 choices of agua fresca and 1 vegetarian and three proteins options. I picked the watermelon and cucumber lime water. With the my vegetarian option being soy chorizo w/potatoes. and my 3 proteins were carne asada, birria and al pastor. All were amazing! I cannot recommend them enough for your catering event! read more

So, a friend told me I needed to try this out, so I did on taco Tuesday!!! I tried their birria, Carne asada, carnitas, adobada! All of them were delicious. The meat itself was tender and flavorful The carne asada in my taco was a tad fatty, but other than that it was delicious!!! The stuff them with cilantro, onion, salsa, and guacamole depending on the meat you get. Since it was taco Tuesday, rhe tacos were discounted so I felt like it was reasonably priced.! Plenty of inside seating. A little area of outdoor seating. Plenty of parking. You place your order and then you go toa separate pick up window to get your food. You watch them put your plate together right in front of your eyes! Full transparency! I love that! Cashier was friendly and took her time explaining since it was my first time.! Thanks Jenni! read more

I'm surprised by the number of stars on here for Frida's, I thought the tacos were fantastic! The dining area was large and clean and the people who made the tacos FRESH to order were so friendly. You can also watch them make your food through the window if you'd like. There is a salsa bar and some fun decorations inside and outside but about what you would expect for a taqueria. The carnitas were my favorite but all the tacos were flavorful and fresh. I'll definitely be back! read more

Pretty good. Fish tacos were loaded & great. Interesting set up with kitchen behind glass. Not a lot of drink options, unless you choose the agua frescas. Reasonably priced. Can't wait to try adobada. read more

I loved the vegetarian option, papas con soyrizo. It had a great flavor and it wasn't dry. The adobada tacos were great too. Well seasoned all around. They have a lot of aguas frescas options. The mango passionfruit aguas frescas was good. The size of the cup was huge. You order at the counter and then you take your ticket to the pick up window to get your food. Employees were friendly and helpful answering questions. read more

AGUA FRESCA (5 stars) Why must an Agua Fresca be a must? They are so refreshing. I couldn't decide which flavor to sip on and was told I could mix them and that it tastes better when you do. Went for the two flavors I couldn't decide on.! JAMAICA + MELON - wow. Getting the best of both worlds. Ok why have I not thought about this before. It is hard to describe but if you have had both flavors, imagine both, it's like a party quencher in the mouth!!! HIGHLY RECOMMEND! Until the next sip... read more

Tried Frida's Taqueria for the first time and got the al pastor fries absolutely loaded and flavorful. The meat was tender, crispy on the edges, and freshly carved right in front of us at the taquero window. Loved the setup: you order at the register, then take your receipt to the window where everything is made to order. Super fresh, super satisfying. Bonus points for the salsa bar a great selection to customize your plate. Casual spot with serious flavor. Definitely coming back to try more. read more

The tacos are always made fresh to order and they include guacamole. Tacos are $1.99 on Taco Tuesday. I did see a sign saying there is now Taco Thursdays as well. The lines can get long during lunch and dinner hours but service is fast. You can either dine in or get your order to go. read more

After discovering this spot we do not get tacos anywhere else. These food here is so fresh and authentic. There is a wide array of choices, from tacos, burritos, queso tacos, birrias and more! There's also many different Agua Frescas. There are two lines- one to order and one to pick up food. When you get to the front they'll ask you what you'd like on your meals. There's even a side bar with lime, radishes and cucumbers. The staff is friendly. They do have restrooms. Plenty of tables. And the ambiance is superb! So if you're in town come try them out. You won't regret it. Warning: The line is pretty long on Tuesdays- but believe me it's worth it. read more

This place was recommended to us by someone that works at Holiday Inn, where we stayed. We just happened to go on Taco Tuesday. Two dollar tacos and they were delicious! This place is really popular. We went at about 9 pm at night and they were packed. They're open until 11 PM which was great, because we had just driven into town and wanted to find something that was still open late. We will definitely be returning the next time we're in Oceanside. The only downside was that all the tables were full so we sat outside, but no one every came out to clean the tables, so not very clean, but you can overlook it because the food was so cheap and good! read more

This was my first time visiting the Frida's Taqueria in Oceanside, and I have to say; I love it even more than the San Marcos location! From the moment I walked in, the service was quick and friendly. I really like how you can watch your food being made right in front of you. It makes the whole experience feel fresh and personal. The restaurant itself is very clean, spacious, and surprisingly big for a taco shop. I feel like this location is a bit underrated because everything from the service to the food quality was top-notch. Another thing I appreciate is that the restrooms are easily accessible and spotless (which is always a big deal for me!). Plus, it's conveniently located right off the freeway, making it super easy to stop by whether you're local or just passing through. Overall, Frida's Taqueria in Oceanside definitely won me over fresh food, fast service, clean environment, and great location. I'll definitely be coming back! read more

Great, great, great tacos. I only ordered tacos ($3.75 each) and they were very good. I got a carne asada, adobada, and cabeza taco, which came with guac, onion cilantro, salsa, and protected with double tortillas. Carne asada was the best, then cabeza, and then adobada. These tacos had that smoky flavor you like on street tacos, which is oftentimes missing in brick and mortar taquerias. The carne asada and adobada was marinated and seasoned very well and deeply. There was a depth of flavor that ascended past just salt and fat. The cabeza was super juicy and fatty, more on the salty side if you are into that. Cabeza is more of a softer, rendered meat so don't be alarmed when you order it. Service was good, and it was decently timed. You order at the register, then pickup at a window. Very clean and ample seating at this location. On tacos alone, I'm very impressed and these were super delicious. I'll definitely come back because they have that secret marination down. read more

We ordered food last night and honestly won't be going back. The quesadilla was supposed to have asada, but it was mostly chewy fat--pretty disappointing and not appetizing at all. We saved the leftovers for lunch, opened it up today, and it was full of fat. Definitely not the quality we expected. If you're ordering takeout, I'd suggest checking the meat before you leave--unless you're okay with that kind of texture. Glad I didn't order tacos. read more

From the moment you walk through the door, this restaurant feels like a hidden gem you almost want to keep secret. The atmosphere strikes the perfect balance between cozy and upscale--warm lighting, inviting décor, and just the right level of background noise to make it feel lively without overwhelming conversation. The food is where it truly shines. Every dish arrives beautifully presented, almost too perfect to eat--until you take that first bite. The flavors are bold, fresh, and clearly crafted with care. Whether it's a perfectly cooked entrée or a simple side elevated with unique seasoning, you can tell the kitchen takes pride in every plate they send out. What really sets this place apart, though, is the service. The staff is attentive without hovering, friendly without being forced, and genuinely eager to make your experience memorable. They're knowledgeable about the menu and happy to offer recommendations that actually match your preferences. By the end of the meal, you're already thinking about what you'll order the next time you come back. It's not just a place to eat--it's a place you experience. If you're looking for somewhere that delivers on every level, this restaurant absolutely deserves a spot at the top of your list. all thanks to Charlene she is an amazing help always ready to help me out when i cant choose just ask her what her favorite ... read more

Had friends in from Thousand Oaks and they swore by this restaurant since their daughter had lived down in San Marcos for a minute. We live in Murrieta and haven't tried this particular Mexican restaurant yet. Hubby always tries nachos because he is gluten free and feels he gets more bang for his buck. The nachos were okay. The carnitas tasted good and had decent flavor. They had a cheddar cheese sauce ( maybe home made?) but reminded him of nacho cheese sauce - he's not a fan. He said they were good but not great. Service was quick and efficient. Shop was clean and empty at 1pm on a Saturday. I had several different flavored street tacos- asada and chicken. Both were decently flavored and tasted good. The addition of their salsa made everything brighten up and sing in my mouth. Out friends loved their four tacos a piece and swore these were the best tacos they have ever had. They don't have as many Mexican restaurants to choose from as we do so for us this was probably a 1 and done since we have good/great places closer to us. * Forgot to take pics since we were starved. read more

Their specialty are tacos. I tried quesa carnitas tacos. They are nice size. I ate two and was the right amount for me. They also make homemade aquas with several flavors to choose. I had strawberry lemonade. Real strawberry pieces but a little too sweet for me. The ladies working the register were friendly and informative of the special pricing on Tuesday and Thursday. A beautiful mural of Frida at the entrance. Indoor and outdoor seating. Very casual. It was very hot the day I went and no air conditioning so we sat outside. read more

I strongly advise against hosting fundraising events here. Despite our congregation being loyal customers, our partnership was a disaster. After bringing in 50 people for an event, management completely ghosted us after the event. Our calls were never returned, and we never received the promised donation. The staff lacked organization, the food quality was subpar, cleanliness wasn't met at the salsa bar and dinning area, and the experience felt predatory-the owners/management even tried to pressure us into hosting the same fundraiser event being at two places at once at their new cafe before even knowing if the fundraiser would pan out. It is disappointing to see a local business prioritize greed over community. We will not be returning for future events. read more

I love going here. It's nearby and it gets super crowded on taco Tuesday. It hits the spot especially being located in North county.

I dined here on Tuesday at 930pm. The food was incredibly good and did not disappoint. I would have given 5 stars if not for the line confusion. You stand in line to order. Moved pretty quickly. However Once you order at the cash register you need to figure out where the line is for the "pick up". Many groups of diners were just hanging out in front of the pick up I asked the cashier where the end of line was and she kinda just pointed and somewhere over there. (Groups of 3-4 people ) not forming a line I held my ticket in view and waited on the outskirts of where the people were haphazardly waiting . Eventually a cook (they make each order fresh) waved me over It didn't take long (10 min) so not a big issue. You give the cook your ticket and advise him how you want your order prepared. I opted for "everything " that comes with it. The cook was super nice and offered me grilled veggies. Onions and jalapeños topped with a few tostada chips. The salsa bar was kept tidy and full. Lime plentiful. The drinks were the most expensive item on my order. Going on Tuesday and Thursday. Tacos are 1.99 each!! My Agua fresco was $6.29. This place. Eating for here. is geared more for the younger crowd. Music was a club vibe. Not my taste but at least it wasn't too loud. Decor funky. Mexican Coke was available for purchase. Tables had napkin holders. Overall I had a great dining experience and the food was high quality. Carne asada was lean and tender !! Very very well prepared !! Highly recommend read more

Oh man, let's start off by saying that I went on Yelp prior to my summer vacation to determine what type of food I want it. I came across Frida Taqueria instantly I was sold by the pictures The food was amazing pictures to follow for some people. This may look basic, but the flavor of authentic sickness that came along with this was out of this world, the greenand red were amazing. Ambience was really cute. You basically order your food and then you go to the window and they ask you what all you would like on your Asada fries burrito, etc. somewhat of how chipotle does it. If you're down in the SoCal galleria and curious if this place is a hit or miss, I am going to definitely tell you it is a hit so you better not miss . read more

Food (5/5 stars): Frida's Taqueria is a great North County taqueria with locations in Oceanside, Vista, and Escondido! On my first visit, I like to sample different tacos and went with the Adobada, Asada, and Quesabirria. My favorite by far was the Quesabirria because the meat was so tender and juicy. The Adobada and Asada were delicious, too. I slightly preferred the Adobada because it was more flavorful. Highly recommend!
