I found this gem randomly! The staff were very friendly and patient with us as we decided what we wanted to order. The food came out fairly quick and hot! We ordered a chilaquiles w/ carne asada and an over medium egg. The tortilla chips were crunchy and crispy, the egg was fried perfectly, the carne asada was well flavored and soft! The meal was served with rice and beans which of course were also amazing! This is the best chilaquiles I have ever had and I am looking forward to the next time I can go back! My sister ordered the Fish and Shrimp Tacos. I tasted the fish taco and that was cooked perfectly! The batter was crispy and not over coated, the fish tasted great and was cooked perfectly! My sister did enjoy the shrimp taco as well and said they battered and fried it perfectly! Definitely a must try if you are near here. The only thing that prevented a five star is the temp inside the restaurant was a bit warm. Not a deal breaker though, will for sure be back!

We were excited to try this spot, but unfortunately didn't get the chance this time. We walked in with the intention of ordering and waited at the register while there were only two tables occupied (about 8 guests total), and we were the only people waiting to order. After a few minutes, we were told "one second," which was totally understandable, but after waiting another 5 minutes (~300 seconds ) with multiple opportunities to acknowledge or take our order, we decided to leave. Could've just been an off moment or staffing issue, so I'm not writing them off completely and may give them another try down the road, but the first impression wasn't great.

Super cheap on the salsa which is key to a meal. Nothing worst than getting home and finding a 1/4 filled salsa for $23 of food. SMH Chipotle was the safer option. SMH

The best tasting food I've had in Oceanside. Each dish we ordered was very tasty. It's a must try. The prices are perfect. From the moment we walked in, the service was very attentive. I'll be back, when in the area.

Tacos in this simple little restaurant were good and satisfying. We had the Grilled Mahi Taco, Shrimp Taco, and Fish Taco. I enjoyed the Shrimp Taco. Crispy and not too breaded so I was still able to taste the shrimp. The Grilled Mahi was a little disappointing because it was dry but still tasty. Three kinds of sauces were offered to enhance the flavors of the tacos. The Horchata was refreshing with cinnamon flavor. Will come back again when in the area and will try their other food. Service was very nice making sure we got the food we ordered.

Amazing fish tacos at a great price. Everything was awesome. Would highly recommend. There was only one cook so if you come when it's busy it might take a little. Friendly service.

It was so nice to be back home in Southern California for the week. While our vacation was quiet and uneventful we happened to find the most humble mom and pop Mexican restaurant here in Oceanside. The owners were so kind and attentive. I ordered a grilled fish taco that was really tender and not over cooked it came with a spicy green sauce that really complemented the fish well. The rice cooked well was really yummy and flavorful and the shrimp was delicious nice size shrimp full of flavor served with saltine crackers. I really can't say enough good things about this business I can see why they got great reviews between the amazingly fresh food and the kindness and love that the owners put into their business i highly recommend the delicious food here.

Why you need to come support this delicious Mexican food spot: #1 as soon as we stepped off the car, its smelled good, that's always the best sign lol 2) when you come in you are greeted with hellos and welcomes with the best music playing! 3) the menu is a breeze tacos are only five dollars and their gigantic see my photos. They definitely are not skimpy on the meat. I really only needed one taco but of course I got a Carne Asada and adobo and a shrimp taco to split with my husband it was absolutely delicious. 4) the owners are so sweet, served us, checked on us, go try something there, with these prices, you can get a ton of food. It's definitely worth it.. 5) because you trust my reviews lol

You will always feel welcomed by Raquel and Bernie. They are a wonderful couple and the quality of their food is amazing. Try eating here just once and you will become a regular patron.

My mom, wife, daughter, and I had an amazing taco lunch here! Just sensational! We ordered fish, grilled blackened mahi and shrimp tacos --- 2 for each of us. Served with the tacos was the house-made hot sauce. The woman who served us warned us that the green hot sauce was truly hot. Since I love really spicy food, I had to taste it to believe it and it truly was hot. And hot in all the right ways. The tacos were large, stuffed with shrimp or blackened mahi or fried fish and flavored with pico de gallo, aioli, lettuce and plenty of limes on the plate to add additional flavor. For drinks I had the horchata, which was delicious and the rest of my family had Jarritos sodas. The woman who served us, who I think is one of the owners, was very warm and friendly. The ambiance is down-to-earth, straightforward and simple --- a place that is focused on delivering great food. My family and I were full after two tacos and the price is very reasonable.

NGL I was hungry and was in search of some seafood. I didn't realize this was a hole in the wall and went by the ratings. Upon arrival I was taken care of right away. I give this spot an A+. Service, food, pace. I got the aguachilles and boy they were spicy but so worth the pain for every bite. Will accidentally be back for sure!

My go-to sauce is Pub Style Medium it has the perfect balance of flavor and spice without being overly hot. I usually get the sauce on the side because sometimes it has chunks of garlic, which isn't my favorite, but the flavor is so good that it's still my top choice every time. The oysters were amazing! My mom loves oysters, and they did not disappoint fresh, flavorful, and absolutely worth ordering. We also tried the gumbo, and it was incredible rich, flavorful, and the perfect complement to the seafood. The fried shrimp was a little overcooked, and the oil tasted slightly old, but it was still good and definitely not enough to take away from the overall experience. The portions are generous, the seafood is always satisfying, and the quality keeps me coming back. It's become one of my favorite spots whenever I'm craving seafood, and I highly recommend giving it a try!

We sat outside at one of the picnic tables and it had a really relaxed, laid-back vibe. The STAR was definitely the ahi tuna appetizer. SO GOOD! The tuna was incredibly fresh with avocado, cucumber and red onion, and every bite was perfectly seasoned. It had a little kick for someone like me who normally doesn't do spicy, but apparently that didn't stop me because I was fighting Nuzz for the last piece We got chips with it too and they were perfectly crunchy. I got two fried fish tacos and loved them! The fish was lightly fried and almost airy, not heavy or greasy at all. Exactly what I wanted in a fish taco! Nuzz got grilled fish, spicy octopus and the Mar y Tierra with steak and shrimp. He loved all three, although the octopus definitely brought the heat! Our server was great too. I asked for a ginger ale, which they don't have, and he actually offered to run to 7-Eleven to get me one! Obviously I wasn't going to let him do that but seriously, how sweet?! Fresh seafood, delicious tacos, great service and a laid-back atmosphere. We would absolutely come back! And next time I'm getting my own ahi appetizer. Sharing was a mistake.

Parking was a little rough and the lot was FULL, but I took that as a good sign I went around 2pm on a Wednesday and there was a nice mix of families, couples, etc. You can sit inside, at the bar, or outside in the sun or shade. I chose outside in the shade and it was quiet, relaxed, and really comfortable. I ordered the Dirty Bird and it was SO good. The chicken was crispy outside, juicy inside, not oily or dry. The coleslaw was fresh and crunchy, the fries were nicely seasoned, and it was a good amount of food. They happily put my pickles and hot honey on the side too. I asked for ginger ale and they offered ginger beer instead, which was a pleasant little surprise! The menu has a ton to choose from. I actually wished I had people with me so I could try more things And for my fellow IBS friends, the women's bathroom has TWO stalls. These are important details!! I'd absolutely come back and bring my husband. Although he ate my leftovers, so I'm still a little mad at him.
