The Vista location seems a little bit light on cleanliness, tables not clean, napkin holders have dried food on them, restrooms not prepped for the dinner crowd. Definitely worth visiting if you're craving street tacos! It's not as great as some of the spots closer to the border but will fill your street taco void if craving. I have visited their other locations (Oceanside & Escondido), so it was nice to see a local location opening. First things first, there's plenty of parking and seating. The staff is friendly. If you are looking for a new taco spot, look no further. We came on a Tuesday, so it was pretty busy, but they had plenty of staff and we didn't wait long at all. We placed our order and paid. Then went to the taqueria window to order our tacos to our desire. We ordered a variety of tacos and decided not to customize them. All of the tacos were full of fresh meat and flavor, some spicer than others. I think we will stick to the basic tacos (carne asada, carnitas). There's a large salsa bar too. The tacos are street tacos, so we didn't add anything to them. Great deal for $1.99 on Taco Tuesday. The fresh juices/waters were delicious and full of flavor. Just went to Frida's taqueria tonight in Vista. We love taco shops like this but the closest one we enjoy is tacos 2 Portillo's in Riverside. I have to say I'm pleased with the service, the staff, and the FOOD! So delicious! You order, then take your ticket to the chefs and they prepare it right in front of you. The aguas Frescas are delicious and the salsa is fresh with a lot of flavor. We will definitely be making this one of our regular spots for take out moving forward! read more

Have heard so much about Frida's, decided to try them for Taco Tuesday. Got there about 1:30, trying to avoid the lunch rush. I was able to walk right up and order. Told the cashier it was my first time there and she asked if I had any questions. From other reviews for O'side, I asked about where to take the ticket she gave me, since those reviews indicated it was confusing. Maybe they have a different set up, since all you have to do is walk a few steps to give to one of the guys putting things together to order. You get to say what toppings and how much of each. I really enjoyed this new little restaurant in the Edwards Cinema lot. You place your order and then give your ticket to the "cook" who will prepare your order freshly-made.
