Food was amazing Tacos and burritos today (next level) Service from the cooking department(unfortunately can use a lot of work) Thank you for the delicious food well prepared and the portions are a little out Control, but that's OK if The service with the register was really nice and very welcome Unfortunately, the interaction with the cook would definitely deter us from coming back. Like you and the register people are pretty much like the front line. No need to be so angry and bitter. All because we had told them to put the onions on the side. You're in the customer service business. You will come in contact with a lot of request in the kitchen and dealing with the . hope it was twisted bad day on your part which is understandable. We are all human. But just because the cook was having a bad day, we won't let that reflect the entire staff, which was really nice and kind. But we'd be more than happy to give it another shot hopefully the service in the preparation area I will definitely say the Horchata and their Jamaica are well-made, we definitely enjoyed their soft drinks

WEEKEND POETRY SLAM: ODE TO FRIDA'S {*anticipatory silence*} {*clears throat*} One bite, I transcended. Heaven is the taco joint By the laundromat. Best tacos on Earth-- dog stole one, now he salsa dances in the street. Rush of muted voices, "ICE?" Nah, just the freezer hum-- Back to tacos, brah. Guac drops like green gold, taco whispers sweet nothings-- my ex never did. Hate tacos? Red flag. Probably microwaves toast. Unfriended for life. {*drops mic*} {*audience snaps uncontrollably*} Pro tip: Satisfying TJ-style street tacos, burritos, and aguas frescas served with ambience that's a little too TJ-authentic. The asada, al pastor, and carnitas versions are perfect, but hard no on the cabeza / cow's head bc I don't want the mad cow disease. {*drops imaginary mic*}

Absolutely incredible experience. The tacos were next-level -- perfectly cooked meat, fresh cilantro and onions, and that creamy green salsa was unreal. Every bite was packed with flavor, especially the beef and carnitas. You can tell everything is made fresh and with care. The setup was classic and comfortable, the vibe felt authentic, and the salsa bar was stacked with options that actually bring heat and flavor, not just spice. The grilled onions and potatoes on the side were a perfect touch. Paired everything with an ice-cold Mexican Coke and an iced coffee, and it hit the spot perfectly. Portions were generous, prices were fair, and the food came out fast. If you're craving real, no-shortcuts Mexican food that delivers every single time, this place is a must. I'll 100% be back.

When it comes to Taco tuesday, where else can you find authentic street tacos for less than $2.00? They're loaded with meat and salsa and guac and my favorites are the adobada, asada and carnitas. Any other day of the week I probably wouldn't come here as the regular prizes for the tacos are wild. That being said, I love all the other reviews who are upset for spending so much money. Its not that hard to look up prices beforehand lol. The service is ok and sometimes the salsa bar has old condiments in it. Overall, its a fun place to go on taco Tuesday and Ill definitely be coming back.

Food not bad, it's great for when you want a TJ style taco in a hurry and can't drive over the boarder. The Vista location seems a little bit light on cleanliness, tables not clean, napkin holders have dried food on them, restrooms not prepped for the dinner crowd. I really like the decor and layout, music can be a little loud. I had a carne asada taco, pollo taco and chicharrón taco and not too bad. I may return.

First time eating here. I came here on Friday thinking it would be a quick taco shop, but raised this was more of a sit down eatery. So we left. But this time, we were ready. I like the set up and I love that there is outside seating. Kind of reminds me of TJ Tacos, but pretty. We ordered a mango agua fresca, carnitas mulita, and 2 adobada tacos. Holy cow! The food was fire!! Got a little plate of roasted peppers, sliced radishes, and cooked onions. That alone could be a meal - it was so good. Got a little container of salsa but all the food we ate didn't need any salsa. Just took a bite of the food followed up with a bite of the pepper, and it was magical! The cold, tasy agua fresca hit the nail on the head, diminishing the heat from the pepper. I was very happy we decided to come here and we'll be back!

My first time trying this was at the Oceanside sunset market and I was impressed, esp for food from a pop up booth to exceed expectations. I later tried the Vista location and everything tasted just as good as the first time I had it! They have a variety of aguas and variety of different taco, nacho, and burrito options. The portions are nicely sized with pricing that accurately reflects that. You order at the register and the kitchen is open concept so they make your food in front of you before grabbing a seat. We sat on the patio which was beautiful. On the way to the patio you'll find a full salsa bar that included my fav, pickled carrots. I tried the carne asada and pollo mulita's and quesa tacos...SO GOOD! My friend ordered nachos and those were really good because they also put a nacho queso sauce on there which sets them apart (in a good way) from traditional taquerias in the area. * unfortunately I was WAY too hungry so the phone did not eat first but I got a few pictures of the vibe before leaving

Definitely worth visiting if you're craving street tacos! It's not as great as some of the spots closer to the border but will fill your street taco void if craving. Cashier was pretty lack luster... but seems typical nowadays it seems. You get a receipt and then give it to someone to build out your tacos. I love the open kitchen concept so you can see how it's all getting prepped. He was nice but I was super thrown off with the guac on the Al pastor (isn't a usual) but was happy to have the guac. He threw on some sautéed onions and peppers on my plate too. The onions were sooooo good and sweet. Carne Asada Tacos - Solid! Probably better than Tacos el Gordo's asada Al Pastor - this was what knocked down a star for me. Not sure if it was the meat or the guac but it was super saltyy. Wasn't the usual flavor profile I was used to. Overall the tortillas with the tacos were good. This was a nice a spacious restaurant. The offer a variety of items and drinks like the Agua Frescas. Will probably be back to try the fries. I saw them prepping another order and WOW it looked massive!!!!

I'm so happy they opened a location a little closer to home. This location has been open roughly a month or so. Best day to stop Taco TuesdayBell BUT it's packed after like 5 pm. But the wait is worth the $2 price tag! This trip we ordered the carne asada fries. As you can see you can definitely split this with 2 people. Fries are fries fresh, you add whatever toppings (already on is sour cream, cheese, guacamole) . Also recommend the pastor in tacos or burritos whatever. The flavor is there The ladies are nice at the cashier area. The guys prepping and preparing are always accommodating and in good spirits. Only complaint would be the organization of the lines between ordering and pick up. Maybe having the poles so there's a line to pick up along the counter. It gets so jumbled when it's packed. Seating indoor and outside. Salsa bar is near the door. All drinks are displayed and they are yummy! If you are in the area check this place out.

I have visited their other locations (Oceanside & Escondido), so it was nice to see a local location opening. First things first, there's plenty of parking and seating. These are two important factors for me. There are tables, booths, bar stools, and outdoor seating options. Inside there's plenty of music (a little loud) and laughter; casual ambiance. The staff is friendly. If you are looking for a new taco spot, look no further. We came on a Tuesday, so it was pretty busy, but they had plenty of staff and we didn't wait long at all. We placed our order and paid. Then went to the taqueria window to order our tacos to our desire. We ordered a variety of tacos and decided not to customize them. All of the tacos were full of fresh meat and flavor, some spicer than others. I think we will stick to the basic tacos (carne asada, carnitas). There's a large salsa bar too. The tacos are street tacos, so we didn't add anything to them. Great deal for $1.99 on Taco Tuesday. The fresh juices/waters were delicious and full of flavor. I look forward to returning to try other items, including dessert.

You enter and there is an awesome salsa bar with many salsas, Mexican carrots and onions, chopped onions, and so much more, Mexican soccer (ok, futbol) on the tube, homemade aguas frescas, and real cooking happening behind the counter. You should be convinced by now that this is the real deal. I beg you: please do not order a bean and cheese burrito here. The adobada burrito is wonderful. It is perfectly-sized and the meat is freshly-cooked, well-seasoned and delicious. I have no doubt every item on the menu tastes great, probably even the bean and cheese burrito. With your burrito, you get two small plastic cups for salsa and a baggie for carrots or peppers or whatever. It is 25 cents for each additional salsa cup, which seems a little steep. But whatever you do, make sure you get the chipotle salsa. It may be the best salsa in history. It is honestly that good. I drove 25 minutes getting there and another 25 minutes getting home in order to try this place out, and there is a taco shop a quarter mile from me that I happily passed. I would make this drive every time.

My husband and I were consistently blown away throughout the meal. We had a few cocktails (one was the verde) and all of them were exceptionally crafted, balanced and well priced. What really shocked us was how good the food was. These were chef driven dishes with phenomenal flavor profiles and execution. Genuinely was blown away by the charred broccoli and the cabbage dish. I would venture to say I preferred the broccoli dish here than to somewhere like Campfire. On that final note, I'll say we typically go to State street or Encinitas/Solana/Oceanside for our date nights but please, give this place a try. They were so so good! 10/10 from two vegetarians

I parked in the garage that's closest (shared with apartments). Prices were reasonable, food was pretty good, beer tasted like to was supposed to. What could have made it better? The service. It was slow and not super pleasant. It didn't seem too busy anywhere in the place so I'm not sure what the delays were. Maybe the server was new, but she didn't seem too happy and forgot my drink. When she finally came back to check on us she asked if I would like to order a drink (umm, I just want to beer that I ordered ten minutes ago, please). I'd go again if others chose to meet up there... and just hope for the best.

This place is great!…read more Wife and I came out on a date night to this local spot we've been trying to come to for months. It was on a Friday night, the place was packed, and difficult to find a spot to park. The line to order was almost out the door, but still fast to get through, and we were quick to choose what we wanted before struggling to find a spot to sit and talk. After about 15 minutes, our order was ready and we got to enjoy our food. We started with the Carne Asada Nachos, Refried Beans on the side. The meat was flavorful, very tender, and plentiful atop a pile of crisp and fresh tortilla chips. The cheese was nice and salty and the sour cream was warm to the point where it drizzled over it all nicely. All in all, it was a very tasty start to the night. The only two issues I had with it were that the guac was a bit overly pureed, making it kind of runny. And the refried beans had a very sour flavor, making me think that they were over the edge of going spoiled. I had to thank my wife's aversion to eating beans, helping us avoid having them spooned on top, which would have ruined this course. I also had an Al Pastor Taco, Craft Coast Style. The whole it was crisped up well, the cheese forming a great crust on the inside of the taco. The meat was sweetly marinaded, flavorful and delicious. On top of it was a good amount of beans, onions, cilantro, and guacamole, making for a good sized taco without any overflowing. It was pretty damn tasty. So, our first trip out here had more highs than lows, resulting in a very positive initial dinner. I'm sure those beans were just a one-off, at least I hope they were. And there's still hope that the guac may have had too much lime or had been overly mixed this time around. A second trip is definitely in the cards, with more of the family to expand what comes to the table.
