These guys really let me down. First time ordering from them and when I opened the box after I left? I mean, look at the picture attached...... it's sloppy as hell, I ordered 3 chicken tacos and they gave me fish (what if I was allergic?), they charged me $15 for tennis ball sized tortillas with the ingredients just thrown all over the top of them sloppily. Then when I brought it back inside and addressed the issue.... the cashier, line cook, and manager all just stood there and said nothing. Pathetic and shameful to say the least. Would not recommend to anyone who wants a decent sized portion of food for their moneys worth.

Really only two salsa containers per burrito??What kind of cheap taco shop is this where you're worried about giving away more than two salsa per person. If you guys are worried about that then you're in the wrong business. Also, you get charged more than the menu price when you get there and people are sweeping cleaning and don't wash their hands before they touch your food. Yuck. Way too many good burrito shops in this town to choose los tacos. This place is a rodeo clown show.

We were happy to find Los Tacos for a nice relaxing low-key casual dinner. Order at the counter and they bring your food to your table. Service was friendly and fast. Had high hopes for the guacamole, but found it underwhelming. Good selection of tacos to choose from. Loved the homemade tortillas, and the California Burrito was a highlight of ours. All in all, really enjoyed our visit!

I'm a fan! I wanted some quick tacos before our Airbnb check-in and I looked on Yelp and found this little gem. The reviews are spot on, this place is very good! I'm from Oxnard and we think we have some of the best Mexican food but the San Diego area has some pretty good Mexican food being that it's so close to Mexico. The place is small but nice and clean. They have a glass section where you can see them preparing the food as you wait. The guy at the register was very cool letting me know that if I purchased three tacos I could get rice and Ben's for free. I decided to go with three Al pastor tacos and I must say, these may have been the best Al pastor tacos I've ever had. They shaved the meat off the vertical broiler, so the meat was super tender and they added not chunks of pineapple but a nice size slice. The tamarind fresca was fresh and delicious as well. The food was prepared quick, had an authentic taste and you can always tell what type of place you are eating at by the type of people who come into the restaurant. They looked like locals that were getting to go orders and dining in. Overall, I WILL be back when in the area and I think it is a food chain so I'll give it a shot elsewhere too. OOOOO 5 out of 5 Afros

Asada and pastor tacos

We went here for a quick bite and it did not disappoint. We got the California burrito, asada and pastor tacos and an asada Gordita. All were delicious. We loved how they put pico in their burrito and meat was not dry. The tacos were delicious and everything was steaming hot. The sauces were ok but it's ok since the food was delicious enough without sauces. It's a small little restaurant but they had a couple seatings outside which was nice. Staff were friendly as well!

Al Pastor Burrito

I ordered the Al Pastor Burrito with everything. The Pastor was so delicious and fresh tasting. There was meat in every bite all the way down to the last bite. This might be the BEST PASTOR I've ever had. It was perfectly cooked with a pineapple on top while roasting. They freshly slice the Pastor to add it to my burrito. I watched them cut the meat after I placed the order. It was a Thursday evening and they said there was a special price on their Fish Tacos, so I ordered 4 of those beautifully made fried fish tacos. Everything was very delicious and priced affordably. I love their salsa bar, I should have taken a picture of it, but there were descriptions of each salsa so there wasn't any guessing on what I was getting. All the salsas were very good, one with a Smokey taste had some heat and went well with everything. I think my favorite salsa was the guacamole salsa. Mmmmm I can't wait to go back again!! The service was amazing, they were all very friendly and made sure we were taken care of. We were asked if we enjoyed the food which tells me they care about the quality they produce. I'll be back!

You must love a family-owned shop that pours its heart into creating an excellent experience for Carlsbad patrons. Meet Armando (the Owner)

You gotta love a family-owned shop that pours their heart and soul into creating an excellent experience. There's absolutely no higher quality Mexican food in North County. This place is supremely clean! The salsa bar is unmatched. There's absolutely no place that offers the diversity of flavors and freshness of the salsa bar. I absolutely adore the fajita bowl. I double up on the meat. I dialed down the rice. It's all protein all the time. The flavor profiles are top-notch. My kids absolutely love the shop, and they have a great selection of beer, to include Burgeon Brewing Company. I am so grateful for this establishment in our community. It's the kind of shop that makes your properties mildly more valuable.

Taco Pastor Carne Asada Carnitas Pollo Asado Al Pastor

The best taco here was for sure the Al pastor I would come back for that taco. The service here was also amazing and the workers were very nice. The only thing was the carnitas and the pollo tasted very bland. They were cooked perfectly but had no flavor whatsoever. The salsas were very good I will say however.

My second time here and was just as good as the first time. Went for Taco Tuesday which is $2.00 per taco. They have options such as carne asada, pollo, el pastor and carnitas. The proteins are so flavorful! They have an amazing variety of salsas too (about 6 or so!) and the crunch spicy carrots are perfect. The restaurant is small inside about 3 full size booths, a couple tables and a few outdoor seating. The service was fast and the staff is friendly! Ample parking in the parking lot too. I ordered alot and couldn't finish it. Will be back again.

DELICIOUS. I will come back!

I tried calling and no one answered and I also tried messaging them on social media. Curious if they are open and if so do they do curbside pickup?

This location is closed until Saturday for repair but our Marron rd location a couple of miles away is open and has curbside. Sorry for the inconvenience

Came in for an early dinner and to try this place out. Have heard many things via social media…read more For starters, we got complimentary chips & salsa. The salsa was good IMO, though the rest of the table thought it was too spicy. For drinks we chose a Mexican Candy ($15) and Hibiscus Margarita ($14). They were okay. I think not really worth the price (barely any buzz). I'll probably stick with a beer next time but that's okay. For food, we ordered the Chile Relleno & Cheese Enchilada ($20), Queso Birria Taco Plate ($18) and for me, the Fajita Mixta ($26). Everyone liked their food. For me, I've had better fajitas elsewhere (Mariscos Hualtulco is my fav) but these were still good (except no green bell pepper for some reason). I noticed the *new* menu price for the fajitas was $29 (Mixta), but on the bill it was still $26 (old menu price). So be aware, the new price is coming obviously. I want to try the Molcajete but $38 is a stretch! Atmosphere was okay. It was a Saturday and although it was early, I expected a more vibrant feel, but maybe that comes later in the night. There was plenty of seating. Parking was okay, but the lot was oddly packed however even though the restaurant was not. I would come back to try something else on the menu, but with so many great Mexican options in our area, they need that extra something to attract more patrons. A happy hour with $10 margs for starters would be nice.

This place is great!…read more Wife and I came out on a date night to this local spot we've been trying to come to for months. It was on a Friday night, the place was packed, and difficult to find a spot to park. The line to order was almost out the door, but still fast to get through, and we were quick to choose what we wanted before struggling to find a spot to sit and talk. After about 15 minutes, our order was ready and we got to enjoy our food. We started with the Carne Asada Nachos, Refried Beans on the side. The meat was flavorful, very tender, and plentiful atop a pile of crisp and fresh tortilla chips. The cheese was nice and salty and the sour cream was warm to the point where it drizzled over it all nicely. All in all, it was a very tasty start to the night. The only two issues I had with it were that the guac was a bit overly pureed, making it kind of runny. And the refried beans had a very sour flavor, making me think that they were over the edge of going spoiled. I had to thank my wife's aversion to eating beans, helping us avoid having them spooned on top, which would have ruined this course. I also had an Al Pastor Taco, Craft Coast Style. The whole it was crisped up well, the cheese forming a great crust on the inside of the taco. The meat was sweetly marinaded, flavorful and delicious. On top of it was a good amount of beans, onions, cilantro, and guacamole, making for a good sized taco without any overflowing. It was pretty damn tasty. So, our first trip out here had more highs than lows, resulting in a very positive initial dinner. I'm sure those beans were just a one-off, at least I hope they were. And there's still hope that the guac may have had too much lime or had been overly mixed this time around. A second trip is definitely in the cards, with more of the family to expand what comes to the table.
