Had a cabeza burrito after my trip to Costco. The value of the burrito was not bad. It was a good size for the price. The cabeza was good but lacked flavor compared to cabeza I've had at other Mexican places. The burrito had cabeza, cilantro, and onion. They definitely didn't skimp out on the cabeza which was great but I do wish they added a bit of something else into the burrito. The salsa was okay. Not my favorite but not bad! I liked the green one more than the red but the spice level of the red was perfect. I also had a cup of jamaica. I liked the flavor but it did taste a bit watered down. I appreciated that it wasn't too sweet though! Still very enjoyable. Service was good and the location was spotless which was nice. I would come again out of convenience and because the food was decent and did enough to satisfy my burrito craving but I probably would prefer to go somewhere else. read more

Stopped by for the first time. It's in a little shopping center in the Costco parking lot near the fueling station. The restaurant is small with a few tables for sitting, it was clean and nice. The cashier was courteous and the food was made quickly. I ordered a surf and turf burrito. This was a different take on previous burritos I've had before this was almost like a fajita style, it was filled with bell peppers, onions, and the meat. Also included shrimp, rice and pico de gallo. The meat was a bit too chewy and the flavor was just off. I did like that limes were included in the burrito, that added to the flavor! We were frequent patrons of this restaurant, but will no longer be spending our money there. I ordered four bean and cheese burritos on GrubHub, picked them up, drove home to enjoy them, but there was no cheese in any of the burritos. I called to report the situation, thinking it was just a mistake, but was told that I had to click "add cheese". This made zero sense to me, and I told her that on the app it says " Bean burrito served with cheese". So why would I have to add cheese? She wouldn't offer any rectification, so I drove back there to show her the app and what it says, in case there was a misunderstanding. She then turned around her cashier's kiosk and showed ME what their options are and that I needed to add cheese or else it was just a bean burrito. I again showed her where it says "bean burrito served with cheese" and asked if she could see how I would assume it was a bean and cheese burrito. I asked if they could add cheese or remake the burrito and she handed me a container of cold shredded cheese. I do NOT recommend this restaurant. Very poor customer service. They have lost customers, and I will be spreading the word. read more

Got a California burrito here last night. Good ratio of ingredients however, the carne asada inside was fatty and chewy! I suggest they find a new carne asada provider. Or maybe it was just a bad night?? The good, nice selection of a variety of salsas. Also, the rolled tacos I ordered were fresh and the guacamole on them was great!. The bacon breakfast burrito was well prepared. My wife would have liked a little more of the bacon inside though. The crunchy tacos here a VERY good too. My wife and I went to Costco to buy just a couple of things and we were going to eat in the food court, but my wife saw that it was a free fish taco, one per person, so we decided to head in there and she felt bad getting two free tacos, fish tacos. So we ordered something unusual. They had a pasta a chipotle pasta. It came with shrimp or chicken and I love shrimp, but I've eaten a lot of it so I was kind of sick of it believe it or not, how do you get sick of shrimp? But the chicken was delicious and the pasta was delicious and it came with a kind of cheese bread that was delicious but also the fish tacos were awesome! This place is a gem. read more

I finally tried this place for lunch last Wednesday and got the fish taco combo. The fish tacos , especially the fish part tasted so bland. Rice and beans were just okay. Maybe I need to try their carne asada or something else cause the food that day wasn't good. Good service though! read more

Got the Bean, Egg, potato breakfast burrito (with No cheese, added bacon, but they forgot my potatoes!) Huge burrito for about $10! (Nice). Nice warmed tortilla with a TIGHT wrap job. (Big points) really tasty crispy bacon, and beautifully salted refried beans, (all the beans on one side though :/ and maybe a little too much bean??? Never thought I'd say that...but I'm just being nit-picky) SAD they forgot my potatoes but at least they remembered the no cheese part. (Tbh not sure if it ended up needing the potatoes, it was great without it). Eggs were slightly dry and crumbly but the moist-ness of the beans made up for it. GREAT and hot red salsa (red was my fave) green salsa was a little too bland and salty. Overall 4.5/5 in my book. read more

Okay, I visited this place on a whim because my wife wanted coffee from Starbucks (in the same plaza). The coffee was going to take 15 mins so I decided to snoop around. I see this place offered breakfast burritos and thought I rather have this than lunch and wanted to give it a try. Boy, am I glad I did. I am a breakfast burrito expert with many years of experience and let tell you this was the top 3 (maybe even best) breakfast burrito I've ever had in my life. The super breakfast burrito has all the meats, eggs, cheese, hashbrowns, and some cream too. The tortilla is soft and stretchy. The hashbrown consistency was delicious because every bite wasn't a huge chunk of potatoes. The meat wasn't overly salty and mixed well with the eggs. Speaking of which--the eggs were perfectly cooked--not dry or runny. And the salsa. Holy cow. 10/10 viscosity. It's thicc to avoid a wet burrito situation. It's spicy with a kick that even those numb with life will feel something. And it packs tons of flavor with little needed. Last but not least, this was a MASSIVE burrito. 12 dollars is a huge value for this beast. I am still thinking about this burrito a few days later. Like maybe I can convince my kids back to Legoland so I can make a burrito run every day. This is my second visit to this place and the food was great! I stopped by here once after filling up gas at Costco, and I was surprised by the tacos. I ordered 2 the first time here and they were filling. Full sized tortillas and plenty of meat and guacamole. Great taste and certainly made it a point to come back again. Today they didn't disappoint. Again, large full sized tacos with plenty of meat at guacamole. They almost felt like small burritos. I would describe them as extra large Tijuana style tacos. 1st time visit Got the following tacos Asada, Pollo, Cabeza, Pastor, and Birria Couldn't tell the difference between pastor and Birria. All the taco meats on there own needed a more seasoning or flavor. Tortillas and toppings really over powered the taste of the actual tacos. Overall most happy with the cabeza taco and asada. As for the rest chicken was pretty dry, birria didn't taste like birria, and pastor was okay. read more

I don't know what happened to this place. It used to be sooooo good but they must have changed cooks. The last carne asada burritos we all got from here tasted like meat and tomato sauce/juice so it tasted like beef stew. Then we had to pour out so much liquid (yes a LOT) before we could even try to eat them, and because of a the tomato juice, the burrito ended up falling apart. We used to order lunch and then sometimes dinner from here. A lot of us that work down the street used to get lunch here very often. A couple of guys from work tried them again hoping it was just a one time thing, but their food was still bad. Please work with/train your cooks or hire different cooks. read more

I have been to the one in Delmar which I loved their carne asada burrito, other tacos and especially their fish tacos. This review is for the one on Carlsbad next to Costco, I ordered some for taco Tuesday which I got their fish tacos. A big piece of fried fish on double corn tortillas with cabbage and tomatoes with their mayonnaise sauce. The fish and the sauce was a little bland compared to the one on Delmar but with additional hot sauce made it more flavorful. Still a great price for a big fish taco at 2.50 per taco whenever I have a hankering for fried fish tacos. Closer to 4.5 stars. read more

not good. chicken burrito was thigh meat that had been cooked far in advance to being served, was overcooked and had hardly any guacamole in it. Service was very nice though and ordering to go was easy but they need to increase quality and preparation of food. I couldn't finish, and threw the other half of the burrito away. :( read more
