My first time to the location on Marron Road in Oceanside since I get my nails done nearby, shop nearby, I go to the pharmacy nearby & I get smoothies next-door regularly. I ordered a basic shredded beef taco asking for the tortilla to not be fried for too long because I have a sensitive teeth issue. I got in my car with the taco drove off to my next stop for more errands. I open the bag. I had a soft tortilla that was not fried at all. I had Birria inside with melted cheese, not shredded beef no lettuce no tomato. Taco was pricey & it was a Tuesday.. That's not the taco for me, but it might be someone else's pleasure? The food is still consistently good, the service on point and they've got the best (in terms of variety, taste and freshness) salsa bar of any taco shop. I typically get the Spicy Surf and Turf Burrito with a couple of Pastor Tacos. Both so good! There are a few tables inside and outside but definitely not a place for groups larger than 4. They have a decent sized parking lot shared with Submarina, Brooklyn Boyz Pizza and a couple other places. read more

One of the best Birria in town tender meat home made corn tortillas and consume you want to drink! Carne asada tender and flavorful. They also serve huge burritos with unique combinations in freshly made flour tortillas. It's a walk up and order with indoor seating and a great salsa bar. Colorfully decorated and very casual. We absolutely LOVE coming here for Taco Tuesday and really just any other day too lol. Some of the best Al Pastor tacos for a great price in north county. Bring cash as they have free chips if you pay in cash (I think over $10). The quesadillas are HUGE so if you order those know you can probably split with someone else (or not!). They have a big sign up front that if you pay cash, you get free order of chips. I guess you have to specifically ask for them because I didn't get any when I paid in cash. I ordered a carne asada burrito with only meat and cheese which means they saved guacamole and salsa but then charged me for the cheese. We came in a for a late dinner on a weeknight and they were busy with customers consistently coming in and out of the establishment during the duration of time we were there. Each person was greeted warmly with a smile and tasty, fresh food. This is definitely one of our new spots when visiting Oceanside. This location of Los Tacos is part of a strip mall with plenty of free parking shared among the businesses. Their shop is clean and has a few tables inside for patrons to dine in. We were greeted immediately upon arrival and the man taking orders was so kind and patient as we decided what to order as first time visitors. We ordered a bunch of items and they all came out in a reasonable time frame and were fresh and tasty. Our order consisted of: - a California burrito - a Quesadilla Diabla - Birria tacos - chips and guacamole Everything was AMAZING! extremely fresh and great quality. The items were generously packed with proteins and fixings. Proteins were tender and flavorful. We did not have a distinct favorite since everything was delicious. Also, the cook was outside as we were parking and he had such a great attitude when telling us that we should check them out that it just made us want to go in and try it. We ordered some gorditas and an ABC burrito. We also got to try their horchata and it was very refreshing. The gorditas were very fulfilling and the different meats we ordered all had great flavor. The ABC burrito is just your regular breakfast burrito so it didn't have anything super unique but overall tasted great. Service was quick and all the workers we encountered were very friendly. There are a few of these around and I tried two on a recent trip to San Diego. Delicious tacos and burritos. A friend and I split the shrimp diablo burrito which was easily big enough for two. Very tasty. I also had carnitas taco, which I found a bit greasy and fatty. The service is fast and helpful. Nice people greeted us when entering and brought food to our table. The restaurants are small and have limited seating. I would call ahead if you have a very good group. Not sure they can accommodate but worth a try. The interiors are fine. Wife told me she wanted to try a New Mexican food spot tonight, stumbled across this one on Yelp. Lived nearby and decided to give it a shot. Safe to say, the socks have been properly knocked off. I got "The Local" which is a California burrito but with Al Pastor instead of Carne Asada. It made me wonder why more people don't do this, because it was incredible. But at the same time, if you're gonna pay anything over $12 for a burrito, it better have a ton of meat lol. The flavor of the meat was quite tasty.
