The sandwiches here are delicious and huge! the quality of the food is excellent and the service is great, this is the reason we keep coming back here. I love their Philly Cheese Steak and Chicken Cordon Bleu sandwiches, they are so filling, I usually share them with my wife. The sandwiches can be somewhat messy to eat, I suggest eating with utensils. I highly recommend Hungry Bear deli, come hungry!

Stopped in to Hungry Bear Deli for lunch for the first time today. It was busy but the staff was hustling. Ordered the Rachel and Ultimate Italian, added some chips, drinks and chocolate chip cookies. The person taking our order was super nice, asked all the important questions and got our orders in quickly. Our sandwiches came out fast and looked fantastic. Even better, they tasted perfect. They were piled high and the bread was soft. We were so stuffed we couldn't eat our cookies and took them to go. All in all, a great visit. We pass their location frequently and look forward to trying more from the menu.

Located at Melrose and Sycamore, the store is very clean and tidy. The kid lady at the register took our order for an Extra Large corned beef and pastrami Ruben on marble rye. We took our order to go and we're not disappointed. The sandwich was enormous and fed two people easily. They combined all the ingredients so that you always got a bite of everything. Give Hungry Bear a try.

Friendly and helpful service. Clean and relaxed environment, not inside and outside. Tried a veggie sandwich with cheese and garden salad. They use fresh ingredients and are generous with the portions. A little heavy handed with the mayo but I should have asked for light. A nice sandwich shop with tasty creations.

My first visit today! I've had them on my list for awhile and I finally got the chance to see if the hype was legitimate. I ordered the Classic Philly to start my journey. Excellent bread, the steak was tender and flavorful, and the peppers, cheese, and mushrooms were on point. Excellent sandwich and I'll be back. The ambiance is cool too which included outdoor seating. I only gave 4 stars simply because it was my first sandwich here...im guessing it will change to 5 stars after a couple more experiences.

I didn't know what to order so they recommended an off the menu special. It was a lot like the Italian but without the ham. They made it hot, perfect crunch to the sourdough. The meat was good, the cheese was perfectly melted. If I ordered it again I would only have grilled onions not raw and no mushrooms. They didn't tell me what was on it so I took my chances and I was not disappointed. Our son is 7 and he was happy with turkey and cheese. Simple and always yummy! The restaurant was clean and inviting, very cali with the golden state Bear and guitars hanging on the wall. Staff was friendly, happy to answer questions, and brought your food to the table. If you're in the area I definitely recommend giving this place a try!

Been coming here for years, and they never disappoint!!! Service is excellent and personable which says a lot about the ownership, especially since it's a local small business. Love the ruben, Classic Philly Cheesesteak, Italian chicken, and especially the Ultimate Italian sub. All have generous portions of meat. Every time I visit I tell myself to try other menu items, but it's too hard to stray away from our favorites. Okay, I promise myself next time I'll get the egg sandwich Pro tip: When I am going on a flight, I stop here on the way to the airport to get the Ultimate Italian sandwich. It travels well because all the veggies are on top. Imagine the satisfaction of sitting on the plane and taking out a delicious colorful loaded Italian sandwich to enjoy! I brought a large one on the plane with me to Disney World, and the second half of my sandwich totally hit the spot for midnight snack a couple nights later. Plenty of parking, nice service, deliciously satisfying subs and salads. Yeah, tummy is happy!

We got a variety of food and let me tell you they didn't disappoint!!! We got the large and couldn't finish them so had some for the next day. The chicken bacon ranch was amazing! The pickles remind me of Disney pickles and we love those :) The service was great. Gentleman was very helpful and answered all our questions. You can definitely chill there, catch some sport and have local beer.

We do not have any gluten free bread but we can gut and scoop out the rolls and slice the thick Texas in 1/2 to cut down on the gluten. We can also make any sandwich into a salad with out the crotons :)

The grease stained through the wrapper and the bag, the delivery driver wasn't even driving with it on his floor. It's almost as if the meat was fried and then cheese melted on top. I've never seen this much grease on any cheesesteak. The meat was overcooked (crispy) which is not what you should be going for, the bread was wrong (hoagies are cool, but you need some crust, the good one's are almost always amoroso or maybe house made). The cheese fell all the way out. More on the wrapper than in the sandwich. Mushrooms, peppers and onions were undercooked and under seasoned. I was soooo excited about the Philly connection, as I'm very familiar with cheesesteaks having lived near Philly in a past life. Well, I was sorely disappointed. We were told that the bread is flown in daily from Philly. Well, I don't know where it's coming from because it's definitely not the same bread as what they normally use there. The sandwich and meat were dry and flavorless. Totally underwhelming unfortunately. So then we saw that they made key lime pie there too! Again, I was SUPER excited because key lime pie is my favorite dessert of all time. And again...disappointment. I took one glance and saw that it was light green in color and knew I was gonna be mad. Yall, Key lime pie is yellow. You should NEVER add food coloring. That's just gross and inaccurate. The texture and flavor were also off. Texturally it was way too thick and dense, which would have been fine if it actually tasted like key lime. But it was severely lacking in that tart key lime flavor that it's known for. I'd definitely go back because of the service and vibe. But I'll maybe try a burger and the cheesecake instead.
