Good deli serving tasty sandwiches. It's located in a large plaza just off the Emerald Drive exit of the 78. Plenty of parking, staff was fast and friendly. Bare bones atmosphere with 6-7 tables. Took a while to get my pastrami sandwich even though I was the only person there; also the pastrami was decent but on the bland side. I'd definitely come back and try some of their other offerings. This place scores a 4 out of 5 on the 'CTJ Scale', as noted below. 5 out of 5 stars: Come-to-Jesus good. Would be OK passing away after finishing a plate here. 4 out of 5 stars: Come-to-Mary good. Was looking for a sandwich shop close by and this popped up in my Yelp. Ordered a Rusty's, a club and a cup of soup. Came to close to $40 but the sandwiches are huge, so way worth it. The place is small but does have a few tables to sit at. One two workers and they were busy but did acknowledge me when I came in. Took the sandwiches to go. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars is because I asked for no tomatoes on the Rusty's and the put them on there. We will be back. read more

They had run out of sourdough the day we went, so we ended up on alternative bread , the sandwiches were still good, but at $16-$18 each, I found myself comparing it to my usual Board & Brew, which is a little easier on the wallet. Three of us ( Juan is a child )spent over $40, and I'm still on the fence about the value. That said, I totally get that food costs are rising and this is a local spot right off the 78 by Smart & Final , super convenient, and supporting local always feels good. I mean five stars alone for the amount of meat that they give you in a sandwich it seems criminal they give you so much that it's the size of my face. What I love about this deli is that it seems very Mom and pop run and you can get the variety of sandwiches that you adore which is your BLT or your avocado, turkey and ham but they have unique twist like their homemade meatballs, which one of my coworkers got, and we loved the combination the different options that they gave I would explore your bed and get chips and add pickles and add different toppings but overall, if you wanna try their main types of food, which is the meatball or the Italian then I would say go for it. We got this food to go, so it was not really a sit down and eat a bunch of food experience. Hi I been here twice and it's becoming my favorite deli. I had the Magic Mike sandwich. It comes with turkey and ham and many fresh ingredients. A very tasty sandwich. Order the meatball sub and I thought the meatballs themselves were pretty good. The sauce was more on the savory side. It didn't taste like ordinary sweet, canned sauce. Decent flavor. My biggest deterrent from ordering the sandwich again would be the bread. It was very, very crispy. They toasted it too much, leaving the texture super dry. I prefer a softer bread for my hot sandwiches in general. Not very filling for the price (~$16). I just finished it and I'm still a little bit hungry. I do have a big appetite though. I also tried their Italian sub, and I thought it was also decent. The lettuce and tomato were not seasoned and they were a little bit light on the onion. There were no issues with the bread. This was the better sandwich of the two, but still not something I would order again. It was also around $16 which felt a bit steep for what I got. The deli is located in a large plaza with plenty of parking. The staff was very polite and friendly. The location was clean and offered many choices, so it's definitely a place worth checking out. I've been here a few times, and the food is genuinely very tasty, which makes this review disappointing to write. Unfortunately, during several visits, I witnessed the owner speaking to employees in ways that felt demeaning and inappropriate. One time, there was a younger employee who appeared to be new, and the owner hovered over him while he was taking orders and spoke to him in a way that felt belittling rather than supportive. More recently, I overheard the owner discussing employees' hours in front of customers and telling one employee to translate the conversation into Spanish "so she understands." I was honestly shocked that this conversation was happening publicly and in front of customers. I also want to note that the bread name "squa*" is a derogatory term used against Native women. Seeing that language used on the chalk board is always uncomfortable as a Native woman myself. I hope this feedback is taken seriously, because the food itself is good, but the atmosphere and treatment of employees made my experiences difficult to overlook. read more

We ordered through DoorDash for lunch time and it arrived just a little after it's estimated time. While the sandwiches are heavy, the prices were on the higher side. We also had a hard time adding condiments on sandwiches because there wasn't an option (we understood we had to pay extra but there wasn't even an option to pay). We opted for adding it into the additional instructions and they weren't followed even though we only had one special request -- asked for mustard on one of the sandwiches. As for the food itself, they're solid sandwiches but I don't recommend the chicken because it was very dry. I also added avocado to my sandwich and it was spread very thinly. My sandwich also came with tomatoes and there were only 2 slices (1 slices per side of sandwich), which threw me off a bit. It's only $5.00 for the Dash Pass Membership on s monthly basis for a one year membership. My order is as follows: one Turkey Club Sandwich on Squaw Bread with generous slices of delicious Turkey Meat with ( Lettuce, Tomatoes, Red Onion, Pickles, Cucumbers, and mayonnaise ). The price is $14.50. I added the extra cucumbers was 50 cents extra charge, extra cheddar cheese $1.00 charge, Then the one Potato Salad with dill pickles. The price is $7.00. Doritos Chips $2.50. One of our absolute favorites! This local sandwich shop has become a staple in our weekly rotation. My husband and I especially love the June Bug, Egg Salad Sandwich, and Magic Mike. The Magic Mike is rich and indulgent--perfect if you're in the mood for something hearty and flavorful. The June Bug, on the other hand, is light and refreshing, with cucumber adding a fresh touch and amazing flavor. Honestly, we've tried several options, and you really can't go wrong with anything on the menu! We were up in the Vista area, and I was hungry so I decided to look for a good deli. Good Belly Deli had good reviews so so we thought we'd try it out. Plus they had squaw bread which is a sign of a good deli to me. Boy, are we glad we chose this place. I ordered the Turkey Avocado and Bacon on squaw, with cheddar cheese, and no lettuce. He got an Italian on a roll. Both were delicious. I would definitely drive out of the way to come to this place. The service is great and the people are super friendly. The meatball sub is probably their best sandwich, but unfortunately they ran out of meatballs yesterday. So next time we come, we'll definitely try that. read more

Really poor service and ambiance. The man working the front was one of the unfriendliest people I've ever encountered at a restaurant. He was short, dismissive, and visibly annoyed with all patrons. I came in around noon on a Friday and there seemed to be a decent rush of pickup orders from workers at the nearby hospital. I assume, this is a pretty common occurrence. When I placed my order, I was told it would be a 20min wait. I sat and listened as other customers were given 20, 25, 30 minute estimates. Many were OK with wait, but some did walk out. It seems best to place a pickup order, and not walk in spontaneously. For the actual food, the sandwiches were thick/tall/packed, but very meh. We got the "Magic Mike" and Italian. The "Magic Mike" was missing avocado and actually had a hair in it. It was $30+ tip for two sandwiches and two bags of chips, which is definitely on the expensive side. I'm definitely not going back. There's far better sandwich spots near by: Board and Brew is right down the road and Tina's is just a short drive away. read more
