Cute coffee shop in the laundry mat. Great customer service very friendly and informative on what he was putting in my drink. Delicious coffee!! Def a new weekly stop for me.

Cute coffee shop located inside of a laundry mat. There are plenty of seats here and since its located in North University you definitely feel the academic vibe from the customers that frequent this coffee joint. There are several seated areas located on the right side of the laundry mat. The drinks are pretty good with some middle eastern varieties of coffee drinks and coffee snacks. They sell instant korean style ramen and hot water tap to make your soup.

Love the vibe of this coffee shop! Laundromat turned coffee shop :). Retro vibes and lots of plants. Very homey! I got the pistachio matcha. Not super impressed with this drink. Tasted very watered down. The pistachio was a nice touch though. Great place to study.

Okay coffee place in a laundromat?? So cool as a concept. Vibes are immaculate and very green for lack of better term. There's only one barista but he was super nice and willing to answer our questions. They have a few pastries and a wide selection of drinks. I got the pistachio velvet with oat milk and loved it! Hints of pistachio, smooth coffee and they have crushed bits of it on top too. I tried a sip from my friend's dessert rose and it had such a unique flavor profile. Great casual spot to grab coffee imo!

loved this cute little coffee shop!! located within a laundromat and they have deals if you do your laundry there. both baristas (i believe one was the owner) were so nice and helpful with their recommendations. we got a vanilla matcha latte and one of their specialty pistachio coffees, both were good! Also kind of randomly there was a DJ that came with all his homies and played EDM so it was like a mini rave. If you looking for a quiet place then maybe this isn't it if they have that event, but it was really fun! Also if you leave a google review you get some percentage off your drink next time. Come and support this local community center!

This place is great-it's a coffee shop in a laundry with tons of cute plants and a bulletin board with great community building opportunities, etc....they even have occasional music like morning coffee raves and encourage writer groups, etc. It would be really fun to leave an awful hang sesh by saying BRB and just go to BRB to find sanctuary

    Walnut Baklava and Mocha!

Absolutely hidden gem of a place! The barista was amazing, and he was a thrill to chat with. We loved how much passion he had, and our snacks and drinks were great. The walnut baklava was quite yum, the mocha was beautifully done, and the peppermint tea was also very good. The atmosphere is also very calming, with plants surrounding the coffee shop area, decorated nicely, and free WiFi as well! The laundromat area was also very clean and clearly taken care of, and we enjoyed waiting around for our laundry. We would so come back again, quite great experience!

They do an impressive assortment of drinks from Turkish, Saudi with Coffee, saffron, cardamom, Lattes, Pour Overs, French Press, Cold brew iced coffee and many other drinks! And did I mention their handmade desserts? Lots of choices. I decided on a Pistachio Latte and a slice of Pistachio cheesecake to compliment it. It was stupendous. The latte was perfectly delicious- creamy nutty not too sweet and just the perfect temperature. The cheese cake was decadent, sweet, creamy and just a perfect blend. So good! The Baristas were fun to watch create drinks, very precise, professional and caring about doing their best job. After we ordered we took a table and to our surprise, they delivered the drinks and desserts to our table. Very nice service and a charming and positive staff. I definitely recommend them and can't wait to go back for more!

Haraz The good:…read more Wonderful decor and ambiance, really spacious. Plenty of seating. Lots of sunlight. Tall ceilings. No annoying music, great for conversation. Open later than most coffee shops, especially in this deserted part of town. Varied drink menu, both caffeinated and not caffeinated, including refreshers. Nice creative variety of desserts (including a Biscoff cake!) and a kolaches case. At one point the brought some hot baked dessert (looked like a whole coffee cake) out the oven and it smelled like heaven. The bad: Nothing vegan or healthy, not even pre-made cold sandwiches or packaged salads. If you are a little peckish for a healthy snack, this is not the place. The coffees: They have all the regular espresso drinks, and also Turkish coffee and of course Yemeni, their specialty. I had heard great things about Yemeni coffee and was exciting to try it. My first drink, a traditional coffee drink called Jubani ($6) contained coffee but was watery like a tea. It had also ginger and cinnamon. I was not expecting it to be like a tea. I immediately told the cashier I didn't like the drink and would like just an Americano, double shot espresso. I was charged $9 for a 12 oz cup. No cream or sugar, no added flavorings. If I were in charge I wouldn't have charged for this second drink, since it comes at almost zero cost to them and would show good faith and ensure repeat business. Disappointingly, the Americano was also watery and sort of "lemony", but I still drank half while sitting with my friend. I'll say that my friend had some sort of an iced latte that she enjoyed. I might try a second visit and order a Turkish coffee, but I will make sure to have had a full meal before.

As an avid Yelp reviewer, I am also an avid Yelp user. If I am in an area looking for the best XYZ,…read moreI put faith in my peers reviews as I would hope they would put faith in mine. While exploring the many museums across the University of Texas campus, a quick caffeine break was needed for my girlfriend and we were overwhelmed by the number of options on The Drag. It makes sense that there are plenty of places to choose from because of the large number of UT students. Everyone needs a little coffee in their lives. One of the highest reviewed ones with a large pool of ratings was Lucky Lab Coffee and after checking a few quick reviews, we decided to give it a chance. Lucky Lab has five locations in Austin (four on campus) and one location in Dripping Springs. The one we were at off The Drag was their flagship. This location serves a little bit of everything from sandwiches to pastries, salad to quiche, and of course, coffee. As we walked inside the flagship, it is easy to notice how tight the space is. There is very little seating inside at their bar, but they make up for it with plenty of shaded outdoor space that is perfect for a nice day. Scanning their menu, we landed on some drinks from their winter menu. I was intrigued by their Pomegranate Rosemary Latte while my girlfriend tried their Ginger Spice Mocha. We got them both iced. First, it is interesting to see the fusion of pomegranate and rosemary in a latte. I was intrigued by those flavors. Their drink sizes are 12 oz, 16 oz, and 20 oz, each adding an additional 50 cents to each upgrade. All milk alternatives cost 1 dollar. It was only a short wait to get our coffees and the cup with the little lab on it was cute. I think specialty drinks have an opportunity to be amazing and one of a kind or the worst drink imaginable. This pomegranate rosemary latte did not fall into either category exactly, but leaned more toward the latter. I love pomegranates and I always appreciate how earthy rosemary can be in a coffee. One of my favorite lattes I have ever had has rosemary in it. This was just not working for me. I shamefully did not finish my coffee. As for my girlfriend, she did not like her ginger spice mocha. I could not imagine gingerbread syrup not working in a mocha, but after trying it myself it was not for me either. It seems like a perfect match, but here the gingerbread is competing with the chocolate and instead of complementing each other they clash. She told me that the flavors were "un-mocha like". She drank less than half of her coffee before tossing it as well. Neither of us wanted to dislike Lucky Lab. They seem well established and I felt like they were trustworthy based on reviews, but I wonder what these previous reviewers were tweaking on or what magical concoction of coffee granted from heaven above they were sipping on because we were distraught by how disappointing these drinks were. I would like to give Lucky Lab Coffee Co the benefit of the doubt and say that maybe the specialty drinks were not up to par with their traditional beverages. However, the almost 30 different syrup options on their wall make me feel they lack a little focus and try too hard to stand out. They lose what makes a coffee good, which is coffee. I want to say I will give them a second shot in the future to see if it was just an off day or a bad beverage pick. Too many shots turns a Lucky Lab into Old Yeller. The lab needs to be put on a leash before I think about returning. RIYL: options

I usually only go to coffee shops to work, but today, went on a coffee date with my dog instead. There's ground floor parking in the garage that's complimentary for two hours. I kept it simple with a vanilla latte. I noticed they had tacos at the bottom of the food menu, but at $13.25 for two tacos + an a la carte item, I decided to pass. Maybe my expectations were too high (as usual) because it's inside a hotel, but I was hoping for the kind of warm hospitality hotels are known for, but instead, the service felt a bit cold. It didn't exactly make me want to spend more money there. While sitting on the patio, I spotted the food truck outside and thought, "PERFECT. A food truck HAS to be cheaper. Take that Simona's!" I walked up to the window... only to find out it wasn't actually a separate food truck. It was just the pickup window. To order? I had to go back inside to Simona's and place my order with the delightful staff... I ended up ordering two Blue Migas tacos, and honestly, they were just... good, but nothing memorable. They tasted like your average breakfast tacos that you can find all over Austin for less. Despite loving how relaxing the outdoor patio is with its lucious greenery surrounding you and the beautiful French chairs and cafe tables, it's located right next to the hotel pool. If you're visiting on a summer afternoon, expect some extra noise with pool guests. If you're looking for a quiet coffee or a place to work, I'd recommend coming early in the morning instead.

UPDATE: many reviews mentioned 4 hour parking, but this is no longer true - it is 2 HOUR parking the with a fee of $10 afterword. Not ideal for a remote working location for more than a short break. Matcha was one of the more expensive in Austin but solid. Food was great (got the birria tacos which were SO tender, although I did have a slight stomach ache right after - maybe just the grease). Went on a Tues during the day and there were many people working upstairs (quietly), but available seats for 2 or 3 ppl downstairs.
