I will not take my vehicle to this location again because you can't trust them. I had the oil change with tire rotation, the basic rear brake replacement which was supposed to be around $150 and a brake flush. When they finished, I paid the bill and was sitting in my truck going over my bill and noticed that I was charged $99 for a coolant flush which I did not request. Went back in and spoke with the manager. The charge was supposedly credited back to my account, have to wait and see. Later that evening while looking at the invoice again I realized that I was charged for the premium brake service instead of the basic which I requested. I did not contact the store because they were already installed so it wouldn't do any good to complain but it makes me wonder if they even rotated the tires or even did a brake flush that I paid for. Never take your car here! Brakes plus DO NOT honor their warranties! I should have just got out of there when they had told me they only had 2 mechanics, because one quit and the other was in jail for beating his wife. But in trying to be optimistic, I left the car in their hands. After 5 hours of waiting they racked up a huge list of repairs that they deemed "necessary" beyond the work that I had came for. Work that was beyond what I wanted and expected them to honor their warranty over. And when on the phone I told them that I only wanted the warrantied work done, the man over the phone said he would not do any work on the car whatsoever. Obviously he was put out that I wouldn't pay the hundreds of dollars they were trying to squeeze out of me. So they sent their shuttle to pick me up, and he too was very unpleasant, driving reckless and over the speed limit, as they were in a rush for me to get my car out of their shop asap, seeing as they weren't going to be able to bulldoze me. I am well able and capable of doing the work I want done, myself. I merely hoped to not have to get into it this week. But better to see the job done right, than done wrong by people who clearly hate working on cars... My suggestion to you is to never EVER take your car here. They only care about their work so long as they can make the final bill as huge as possible. What disgusting ethics. I went to this Brakes Plus and had caliper work done on vehicle. As im waiting for work to be conpleted l noticed as work was being done one of the managers took off my left front tire which was surprising to me when the work was done on the rear tires. 2 months passed by im sitting in my car port and noticed one of my rear wheel locks were not on the vechile. There were 4 wheel locks on my vehicle, to my surprise now there is only 3. Course they no nothing about it after the money was paid. I've taken my car in for an A/c leak 3 times, not once did they fix any problems. Still leaks to this day, they tried calling me after I made a google review I missed a call from Chris the "manager". I call them back telling them my name and why I'm calling, this man acted like a kid. He told me umm I didn't call anyone by your name, so he was trying to act like he didn't call which made thing awkward. Paid around $300 all together on just "labor", "parts". I brought my car in for a brake check at the location on N. Tatum Blvd. Tony Lundberg was attentive and took the time to explain my situation. Turns out, I had plenty of brake pad still remaining. You know I'll be bringing all of my cars here now given the excellent level of service and honesty. While I was there, I had the oil changed (full synthetic) and saved $50.00 from where I normally have my oil changed. Again, Tony wins my oil change business also. This shop tried to rob me of over 1000$ I brought my car into this location for a simple alignment and was told my struts are shot and I have a broken control arm so an alignment can't be done since it would not hold, they told me it would be 1200$ for all the work. I brought the car to an honest mechanic, had the alignment done and he looked into was they claimed was wrong with my struts and it was all be, nothing was wrong with my car. Well, this last visit assured that I won't give Brakes Plus another penny of my hard earned money ever again. I used to take my vehicles to Brakes Plus on Signal Butte and Southern for all of suspension and brake needs, because they were good. Somewhere along the line, they went downhill, fast. I stopped using them. A couple of weeks ago, I took my wife's car in for an alignment. I was told that it would be 60 - 90 minutes. After roughly two hours, I was told that they found a wheel bearing needed to be replaced and would take an additional 20 minutes. I ok'd the fix. Another hour goes by and then I'm told that they didn't even have the part and delivery was delayed. More waiting. It's not like I have a job to be at on weekdays or anything. As an hourly employee, this cost me some serious money. They finally wrap up after four hours. I get the car back and the wheel is canted counterclockwise, the car pulls right and the alignment is clearly off. I call immediately. I end up getting the car back in and was told that it was absolutely done incorrectly but was fixed this time around. Now that I've lost 6 hours of pay, spent $500+ on an alignment and wheel bearing and had to bring the car back on my time, I got a "So sorry about that" and a free oil change... like I'm going to bring my car back to you. Well to the point, it is not fixed. Better, but not fixed. The steering wheel still sits canted counterclockwise, just not quite as much... the car still pulls right, just not quite as much. I could call again, sure. I could go back again, sure. But why? For another half-assed job done by some dealership reject who doesn't give two sh**s about the quality of his work. I used to do transmission work for a living. Take some pride, man. I'm just going to have to suck it up and spend more money somewhere else to have this done right. All in all, my receipt says $500+ in repairs and alignment, but with all said and done, this will cost me closer to $850 in wages lost and another alignment. I've been to this Brakes Plus location twice now. The first time, I got my fiance's Nissan's oil changed, new fluids, and new brakes. Pricey, but had nice conversation while I waited with Mike. It was a pleasant experience. This second time, I came with my Ford to get my oil changed, wipers replaced, and tires checked. I ended up needing a new ball joint and later on should replace my bearings. I was a bit devastated by the cost, but Josh and Mike at the desk were so incredibly attentive and caring. Today I was reminded why I will gladly drive 20+ minutes to bring my car here over any place more convenient. I made the mistake of going elsewhere while in a pinch and left before spending a grand total of nearly $1900 (probably closer to $2500 since that isn't including two other issues). I took my car into Brakes Plus and by end of day, I had it back with all three remaining repairs completed for less than the other place quoted me for ONE. They truly do great work for amazingly fair prices. I've had the pleasure of being helped by Robert twice now, but Curtis did not disappoint. The manager is great and very helpful. The brakes front breaks were fixed great and was told the back breaks were fine. They did try to sell me shocks and other stuff but they are a business and nothing wrong with that. It cost a little more then I thought it would but the quality of work done was will worth it in the end. The work was completed quickly. It is my new place to get work done on my cars. I bought some tires across the street at Costo and the guy told me I needed to have my front end checked and gave me a coupon for $29.95 front end alignment at this gin mill. I went over and they told me I needed tie rods and ball joints for $689.95 and they would throw in the alignment for free. I told them I was born at might just not last night. I went over to Mike's Tire Factory at Guadalupe and Price Fwy and they found one tie rod that was bad. Ball joints were good. $79.95 for the new tie rod and $30 labor to install it and another $40 for the front end alignment. Well done Mike, you have my business from now on. read more

I love this place. I was told by Meinke that I had a bad CV Seal on my Left axel but had to replace both sides just because I should. They quoted me $760 for both sides. I went to Brakes Plus, who were highly recommended by my son. They told me the price per side with labor was $199 and that I did not need to replace both sides. Meinke also quoted high on brakes. I walked out of Brakes Plus for way less than $760 front brakes included. I will go to them for oil changes for now on as well. read more

The customer service sucks here on so many levels! I was not updated on the 3 1/2 hour wait when getting my brakes done. I had chase the guy down to asked how much longer. You would think with the amount of money I'm spending with this organization and have spent over the 2 year I have lived in here, There would be some sort of courtesy and value of my time. There over six technicians and all of them took a 2 hour lunch. They finished the brake work on another customer first when I was at the shop 1 hour before he arrived. (And has no appointment) Then the short little black haired dude had the nerve to get an attitude when I asked about price matching! Then the blonde haired kid looking dude had no customer service or interpersonal skills what so ever. The worse experience ever and will it be returning to the location! I brought my car in last week for a routine inspection (squeaky brakes). Service was friendly and knowledgeable and even though they were short-staffed they got to my car within the scheduled time frame. Unfortunately, they forgot to bolt my front passenger tire back on and no one noticed when they drove it out of the shop. I made it out into the intersection and that's when I could hear the tire rattling around. I pulled off the road behind discount tire to see what the problem was and found all the lug nuts loose and hanging on the ends of the studs. There was some minor damage to the back of the rim and the studs were partially stripped from where the rim had ground them down. I called the shop and they sent someone over to bolt the tire back on. I've been going here for years without issue but I think I'll be looking for a new brakes place in the future. Moral of the story, double check your tires before you drive off the lot. read more

I came in to get a brake inspection done and to get my thermostat replaced. They were up front about the time and cost. After the brake inspection they came back with things I could do based on the mileage of my Jeep but didn't push anything on me or tell me that I have to get these things done. They called to tell me that one of my Caliper bolts was threaded with no viable outcome of fixing the problem that they started. Bad luck or not they left me without doing their job and left me completely unsatisfied! They were very unprofessional and when I called to talk to the manager, he brushed it off like it wasn't his problem. These guys are crooks. They're out to scam every last dollar they think they can get you for. I went in for a $189 brake job with a $20 coupon with an appointment on a Saturday at 8am. I dropped off my truck and received a phone call 3 hours later stating the "MUST DO" repairs along with a few optional repairs that did not require immediate attention. After some consideration and debate I reluctantly agreed to go forward with ALL the repairs, even the optional ones even though it was a strain on my finances. I stated to Chris that cost was an issue and solicited an additional discount from him on the larger purchase. He gave me 10% off (the standard discount as he referred to it). I was quoted another 2 hour time frame and when I was contacted again I was told by Ken that my radiator had a crack and needed to be replaced. I hadn't seen a single drop from a leaky radiator nor had I seen my temperature gauge move even ever so slightly towards HOT. Although skeptical I was fearful of having a faulty radiator in a State such as AZ with such high temperatures so I reluctantly agreed to this repair as well. What was supposed to be a $200 brake job ended up costing me $1500. I would NOT have agreed to do the "optional repairs" and exhaust my budget had I known that another "MUST DO" repair would be announced the next time they called me. I feel it was deceitful and misleading. I feel taken advantage of and I WILL NOT return to Brakes Plus for ANY service as I'm afraid that every hour they have my vehicle my wallet will suffer. Do your homework and find a mechanic you can trust. Don't be lured in by misleading coupons or the illusion of convenience. I intend to take my own advice moving forward. read more

Today Friday July 4th 2015 I went to the Brake Plus located in Country Club and Baseline, Mesa, Arizona to check my 2000 Mercedes E320 air condition system because suddenly it broke out, and they checked it and told me the blower motor and its resistor were going bad. The price for both parts were 621 bucks and the labor was 225, 922 dolars in total with taxes. You can find them on eBAY for just 120 total price. This is ridiculously expensive and I felt mocked and about to be scammed. I do not recommend anyone go there. read more
