He went out of his way to make sure that I was comfortable with the price and what was going on. The customer service was exceptional and they definitely exceeded my expectations. Had an appointment at 9 for rear brake service and it wasn't completed until 2:30. I was in the waiting area with two others who were very upset about the service. Another gentleman had been there since 8 and I left before him. The other had his oil pan damaged during service and told him he had to wait an additional two hours. You could feel the tension in the room. They didn't try to push any additional services on me which is a positive I suppose. However, I am very unlikely to return and I do not recommend their services. read more

I took my car to them because my air was not blowing cold enough. Told me it should be around $200.00 okay great. Sat there for about an hour and then the service manager came to me and told me that something was leaking and the new cost to do it would be $1500.00 and he was giving me a deal. so I told him I would think about it since I did not need the air at the time. I took it to the dealer to double check. Cost $150.00 with nothing leaking. If i were you I would not ever bring my car to a brakes plus. The service managers make commissions the work that they sell to you. They are telling that they are doing work that is not being done. They should be put in jail! read more

It was fate that brought me to Brakes Plus. I was joy riding last weekend when my shifter went out. It went out right in front of a Volkswagen dealership, I drive a beetle so I thought that was hilarious. I knew I did not want VW's million dollar service so I called Brakes Plus which was right across the street and spoke with Tyler. From there the relationship started. Sean called to inform me of the issue, with cost and without any haggling. Pressure free was what I needed. An extra part was needed due to the design of the cables but Sean stood my his quoted price and did not charge me. Thanks Sean! Brakes Plus is world class in my book. It's hard finding a trustworthy mechanic, but I have one now. read more

Probably won't go back for any service. I took my car in for a routine oil change one night and they found my oil pan gasket stripped. Since getting the car, I only took it to this location for all my oil changed and service. When I told them this and presented them with the receipts, they basically told me oh well and gave me the estimated pricing of getting it fixed. They took no ownership of their previous work. Instead of having it replaced, I was able to trade in my car for a new one. Moving forward I'll pay the premium cost to get my cars fixed at a dealership. read more

Came to this location after having been lied to by Jason from the greenfield location about how long it should take to do the work, I was told 1 to 2 hours and came back 3 hours later to have it not even started. I was apologized to by tucker from this locatin who, to his credit, was almost believable. He offered a free oil change and delivered but not before attempting to have me do 300 plus dollars of unnecessary work on my clearly fully functional brake system. I do not trust this company and am saddened to see that it is more than an isolated incident. read more

Came in 3 weeks ago and waited 3 hours for my brakes to be done. Smelt stinky burnt smell ever since. Annoyed that I had to bring it back after three weeks because the smell did not go away. Came in today and GM Curtis was rude and seemed to kind of acting like I was making it up and did not make me a priority. Here I am waiting again in lobby. Grrrr. read more

If I could give negative stars I would. I took my Dodge Challenger SRT8 to have the rear brakes done. After 3 hours they were still not done, parts were not there yet. So I walked to Walmart. On my way back to Brakes Plus, I was shocked to see an employee racing my car on the street. The brake job wasn't done yet. The manager claimed he knew nothing about it. So this employee took the keys without permission and was joy riding. Totally unprofessional. I was livid and all I got was, he was test driving it (before the work is done?) and we are sorry. If you value your cars do not allow these people to work on your car. I will never allow them to touch any of my vehicles. read more

I went in for an alignment and was in a hurry. I had one hour to get it done as well as an oil change and then leave in enough time to get to the other side of town for a therapy appointment for my son. The manager Curtis was so nice. He had my alignment checked and told me that I didn't need one. Most people would have been dishonest and would have given me an alignment anyway and would have charged me just the same. I called this place to ask about an offer from discount tire. I asked about making an appt or just drive in, I also asked to just get the oil changed no inspections. I think at that moment the man on the phone for annoyed. I then showed up one min past the time I told him and he said I was late. Not sure if that was his attempt at humor but his face didn't appear to be that of a guy making a joke. He said 45 min it was maybe 25. I said hey thanks for being so speedy. No comment. I tried to make small talk as paying for it, no comment. I think this man genuinely got upset because I didn't want their inspections. He didn't mention the inspections at the end and I said I had a mechanic. He asked why my mechanic doesn't do oil changes. I said my mechanic works from his home and doesn't really have a place for anyone to sit and wait. He didn't seem to ever want my business back which works for me. Two stars for giving me an oil change in 25 minutes. read more

They did my brakes and I was pleased with the results. They did some work on my water pump but my car idled more roughly after that. I took it back and they said it was running fine. This week when my engine light came on I went there and showed them the diagnostic results from AutoZone they said they would have to charge me $50 to find out what was wrong. I took it to another mechanic whom a family member recommended and was pleased with the wonderful service and price. I'm afraid Brakes Plus has lost my business. read more

I went into get my brakes repaired and found out my breaks and rotors needed to be replaced. I was quoted a higher rate at Brake Masters and came to this place as a referral from my dad. they quoted the work $200 less and my brakes are now in good condition. Not to mention I now have a great lifetime warranty. Chris Palmer was awesome because I arrived right as they closed and they still took care of me. Plus they let me use their loaner car for the day so that they could repair my car first thing the next day. He called me by noon to pick up my car and I was very pleased with the work. Although they are far they are friendly and know what they're doing. Plus the loaner car was a big help as my repairs were being done. read more

Let me start by saying I have used brakes plus since I started driving 5 years ago. I have my oil changed as it should be and service my car as listed in my owners manual. I recently moved here from Colorado where I grew to trust and love brakes plus. I had a warranty on the brakes I selected so I came to this brakes plus to get the pads swapped and rotors machined with my oil change. When I was driving to a concert that evening, I noticed at low speeds my brakes were grinding. I asked my Colorado brakes plus manager what I should do and he said take it back, they need to adjust the (insert mechanical term here - I don't remember what he said.) I didn't go back right away, but with my next oil change I mentioned it, since it had gotten much worse, my steering wheel was now shaking when I would brake, squealing, and the grinding was horrendous. 3 things happened here. 1 They said my brakes were fine, if I wanted them to stop making noise I would have to purchase the more expensive set. Now, keep in mind these were warranty replacements so I had the same exact pads on when I came in that were put on by my Colorado Brakes Plus. So I tried to tell him what the manager from the Colorado place said and he acted like he had no idea what I meant. The second thing that went wrong at this point was he said all of my shocks/struts needed to be replaced. Wouldn't you know hey we're having a buy 3 get one free sale on those puppies! Of course they would try to sell me some. No thank you. The third thing is that they want me to change my air filter every time I come in. I know we live in a desert, but that is quite often to change that! Plus I can do it myself thank you. Oh! I almost forgot to mention that I checked my owners manual for what needed to be done at that mileage and the guys did not even know what it was talking about! Don't waste your time, there are good mechanic shops out there you won't have to deal with shenanigans --- I had a really good experience on the front end, but after getting my car reviewed two things happened: 1) I got a call from their number and someone was trying to scam me with some Viagra pitch (either they are doing this out of their own shop, or they are using VOIP and got hacked!); and then 2) their sales guy tried to sell me a bunch of crap I didn't need or want and was unprofessional. read more

Ive been here only twice since ive moved to the area and both times not only did it take forever I felt cheated and tricked. Im a younger woman with next to no knowledge about vehicles. Im in the process of expanding that knowledge, regardless...i went in firat to have them check my fluids before an interview. My interview was at 2. I took it in about 1030-1045ish. I left at 130. It took them forever to even look at my car ( there were only 2 others in the lobby). My car was overheating because my radiator hose was craked. They had to order the part. I was driving far and didnt want to break down so i said do it. It was a time crunch, they attempted to sell me brakes but i just said i was in a hurry. So i go in the other day to get a brake quote. I got there when they opened. They were working on another vehicle. I wasnt in a rush so i sat myself down and waited. Two hours later and multiple people with dignostics on their vehicles later a servicr guy tells me that there is multiple things wrong with my cars brake. And basically he wanted to replace quite a bit. Total estimate $650. I explained it was a lot of money to shell out at one time. I started to get suspious when he mentioned there being wetness on my radiator. This last week was raining like crazy. I told him they had checked for a leak last time i was there and that couldnt be anything. I probably ran through a puddle. He showed me my brakes in the shop and i asked if it wasnt fixed would i be able to stop if nessecary. He said he wouldnt recommend it and was very friendly. I told him that was going to discuss it with a friend whose parents are mechanics. He said he understood and walked me back into the lobby. I waited for my car to be put back together but when he came back he had a completely different attitude. He never made eye contact, told me that i didnt have to pay anything because it was a free brake inspection. I asked if i could have the quote. He rolled his eyes and printed it out. Ive worked in customer service for 6 years, it was just digusting how he was acting. I had my brakes looked at by a family friend. They werent as bad as they made it out to be. Although my driver side pads were on backwards. Cant believe Brake Plus didnt cath that. Do not go here. I wouldnt put it past them to damage your vehicle just for you to shell out more money. read more

I scheduled an appointment a few days ago when I got there they told me they didn't have time to do my oil change. They said they had a few people call out and suggested I go to another Brakes Plus (over 10 miles away) that could POSSIBLY get me in or come back at 4pm so my car can POSSIBLY get done by close at 6pm. I don't schedule appointments to be given a possiblity of it being done. I expect a reasonable time frame for a simple oil change. I understand that people call out of work but they could have called me before my appointment time so I didn't have to drive over there and waste my time. Besides that he was very rude and began to walk away after telling me to come back or schedule at a different location. Very disrespectful and I will never go back again. I will be telling everyone I can about this. read more

This was the best I have ever been treated by an auto repair place. I took my car in because my brake light was on, on the dashboard. The team took a look (for free) and then called me and explained extremely thoroughly what the problem was with my car. The guy then told me that the price for my repairs was gunna be $600. That shocked me, as I am a poor college student. After talking about what the necessity repairs would cost, it was still around $400. I asked if there was any way that we could lower the price to around $300 because that is all that I could afford and the guy told me that $350 was what he could do. So I said that's fine, I will somehow come up with the extra $50. When my mom went to pick up the car, she was treated very well, and surprisingly the ticket came out to $300 even. I was so shocked at the generosity of the people there that they would work with my budget and treat me with such respect. I plan on going there will all my car needs, the customer service was OUT OF THIS WORLD! read more

Did a good job for repair. Of course being female, they tried to sell me a million other things. In the tune of up to at least $2,000! However, when purchasing the lifetime warranty, beware that it does not include labor to replace something that that you've already paid for. Was just informed after buying breaks a year-and-a-half ago with the lifetime warranty, that I had to pay them $60 labor to put them in. Never going to happen! I will take my business elsewhere from now on. read more

I'm new to the area and this wasy first time ever having a brake job done that my veteran mechanic father didn't do. Not used to paying for brakes I shopped around spoke to a few people and then I call here and spoke with Curtis(who I find out later is the manager) he was super nice on the phone and even made suggestions to save me $$ with such charisma that I decided to give it a try. So I went in and lucky me had Curtis help me out. They even looked at my car in whole instead of just the brakes. Curtis came back with things that needed to be done and even some suggestions. He was straight with me told me which were needed and which we're add ons which would make my car ride better. No BS, which I like, and when he gave me a wait time it was not a minute more in fact it was done early. Granted I haven't driven my car but 5 miles since I left it feels great and the lifetime warranty doesn't hurt either. I am beyond satisfied and intend on coming back for the experience and well as the quality and price. Even bought Curtis some pizza for being so great! read more

Our power steering hose split and we stopped in to Brakes Plus because of a recommendation from the tire shop across the street from them. Although they were extremely busy that Saturday, they looked at the car and confirmed the problem. A new power steering line had to be ordered from KIA, so we had to wait till Monday for the part. They gave us a loaner PT Cruiser to use for free for the weekend. Our car was ready for us to pick up Monday afternoon and the car steers great. They also did a free wheel aligment. We totally recommend you take your vehicle here. Tucker, who looked after us, was VERY friendly and helpful. read more

This place is a fraud and a joke!!! I dropped my car off at my requested time of 9:00 am was told my car was 3rd in line, at noon i FINALLY got my quote call! I was initially quoted $480 for brakes and hardware (which come to find out doesn't usually EVER need to be replaced ). Once i expressed my feeling on being over charged i was then quoted $280 for a less known brand and hardware. I advised Ken, the man who called me to park my car and not to touch it that their prices are ridiculous and that pads are $17.99 at auto zone. Now with all that being said i took my car there so i could enjoy the day with my bf who use to work on cars, however that was side tracked. We went to auto zone bought the pads for front and back because i was told by Ken that all 4 were bad and that they need to be replaced! My poor bf took off each tire and looked at the pads ALL of which except the one i knew was worn were like BRAND NEW! 3 of the sets still had the "wear lines" i could have even gone longer without changing the 4th! This place tried to scam me for $500 and provided nothing more then a lie when discussing my vehicle! I have EVERY intention on reporting them to the BBB and i will let EVERYONE i know how ridiculous this place is! read more
