This was my first visit to Bow & Arrow. It was highly recommended and I see why as the food was great. It is an interesting menu, a bbq and Mexican fusion. The bbq is predominantly Texas style and the brisket was outstanding. I had the "King George" enchiladas and they were fantastic. The service was excellent, very friendly. Great vibe and amazing service! I absolutely loved the brisket. I got the 2 meat combo with ribs and brisket! The brisket comes in two styles 1) lean and 2) meaty (i think). However, I chose the latter! Yall this brisket was melt in your mouth delicious. Literally the BEST brisket I have ever had! The sides and ribs were tasty. However, this summer, I will get the brisket platter! I also had the "Deep End-Surf Rider". It is a very delicious drink. Amazing!!! The best bbq that I've had since moving to Alabama. Took my parents here who were visiting from San Antonio and they were very impressed! First off, if you expect your neighborhood Mexican joint then you are in the wrong place. Bow and Arrow is much more. I have wanted to try B&A for a while, but when visiting on the weekend there is often a substantial wait. Finally we arrived on a Sunday around 2:30pm and only waited around 15 min. Overall we had a great experience. The outside seating allow our 3 year old roam without interfering with neighboring tables. We started with chips, salsa and queso. The salsa was fair, but the queso was a great choice. Our table was split between BBQ and Tex-Mex. The King George enchiladas were incredible along with the brisket fajitas. We wanted to try something new on our visit to Auburn and saw this place had great reviews. It's off campus so we didn't have to deal with crowds downtown for game day. We were able to be seated immediately. The menu is really interesting, there's a mix of southern barbecue and Tex Mex. We had the triple dip for an appetizer. The guacamole and queso were excellent. I thought the salsa was a bit spicy but my husband liked it. I had the deep fried enchiladas for my entree. It was so good. I've never had a dish like this before. I wanted to love this place so much! The only reason I am giving 3 stars and not less is because the staff there was so great! We orders the chips with queso, salsa and guac, a rib platter and pulled pork. They really seem to like paprika there, because the tortilla chips were coated with it. The salsa tasted more like ketchup than salsa. The ribs.. well, you needed pliers to get the meat off the bone. The pulled pork wasn't bad, but nothing I would ever order again. I just wanna start with following in Acre's footsteps must be hard. This is Bancroft's second restaurant in Auburn and has a more potluck/openpit bbq style feel to it compared to the more refined and sophisticated plates at Acre. To start we came a few weeks ago for dinner and there was a nice sized line already starting to form so do expect a wait here. You will select your meats and sides and they are served to you on a take away tray which you take over to your seat. (In really busy times I suggest getting food to go because there isn't a whole lot of seating) They have an array of sauces from white sauce to mustard sauces for you to pair with your meats. I didnt find the sides all that impressive, but the meats and the selection of meats offered are worth coming for. I tried the brisket and the ribs, both which were really good. The reason I did give this place 3 stars is because well... first the sides were just ok,, and second, this place was expensive for what you got. Sides to me can make or break the meal quite honestly, particularly when we are talking mac and cheese and greens. They have gotta be on point because there are other restaurants in the area that can do them up just like home and serve them to you for $10 a plate. I mean I know they are going for upscale smokehouse, but no bbq dinner for 2 should cost almost $70. read more

My husband and I were starving looking for big portions and options. We looked over an old review online for this place and almost didn't stop. The picture of the menu was from 3 years ago and didn't look like much. I will include an updated one. They offer so much more than older reviews are showing. Everything here was fantastic! I'm so glad we stopped here. The atmosphere was beautiful. Being big supporters of the hunting community ourselves, we really enjoyed our views of beautiful mounts that adorn the walls. The decor and color choices inside are just beautiful, and the lighting is great. The bathroom was even beautiful lol. Now to the food and service. This place makes their own tortillas, the offer a wide variety of "Mexican kind" of dishes, but still not leaving their base and love of barbecue. We got chips and cheese dip to start. The queso was warm, great tasting and the chips tasted fresh like they were homemade. My husband got half rack of st louis style ribs, greens, and baked beans. He loved his food. Not everyone makes good collard greens and this place did it right. The ribs were perfect too as well. I got the pepperjack fried chicken sandwich and it was wonderful. I really wished i had room for a fried peach pie and blue bell ice cream. Maybe next time. I don't know who is running this place but in my opinion they know what they're doing. They're definitely on to something. The only sad thing is I wish I had one of these in my town. One of these restaurants would be very successful in Putnam Co Georgia. My wife & I stop here on the way back to Atlanta & I have to say this place is awesome!! my wife order the brisket melt which was absolutely delicious and the fries were so crispy. I ordered the pork plate with two sides, the beans and the Mac and were absolutely delicious. The beans were so good with brisket inside them. Well the pork was so tender and delicious. I wish I live next to this place, we have two little ones and I have to also say about five minutes from here is an amazing playground. Everything melted tenderly and juicily ( Alabama words) in my mouth. The smokiness was perfect not overbearing at all!
