Decent food! Our server, Skylar was great. The restaurant is on the first floor of the resort. We had breakfast 3 days in a row. The buffet was solid, some of the pastries were a big stale but otherwise it was great. Plenty of vegetarian options.

Nice seating for all sizes of groups

We arrived on time for dinner and were told the bar was opened for dinner service. The place looks nice. The menu was a lunch menu--only sandwiches and flatbreads. They were out of the brisket which my husband wanted. So he ordered the Mahi Sandwich with sweet potato fries. They were out of the fries so he opted for a side salad. I ordered the classic flatbread. His sandwich was super salty and very spicy. So much so he couldn't finish it. When our server heard she offered us a free dessert. We ordered the fruit crumble. He told her he had a dairy allergy, but the dessert came Topped with vanilla ice cream. She apologized. One bite of the crumble and we both thought it tasted like a frozen, stale Sara Lee dessert. Very disappointing. The only reason they get a two star is for the service--she was great. The atmosphere was great. The food not worth the price.

Pretty good breakfast buffet spread, especially the baked goods and fruit bar. Great service

Hands down one of the best burgers in the Opelika-Auburn area. We had an amazing dinner at Zazu,…read moreand everything--from the food to the atmosphere--was spot on. I ordered their Gambler Burger, smash patties, piled with onions, mustard, pickled green tomatoes, bacon jam, and jalapeño aioli. It was juicy, flavorful, and honestly one of the best burgers I've had anywhere. Service was super friendly and welcoming, the kind of hospitality that keeps you wanting to come back. And huge bonus--they take reservations, which makes planning a night out so much easier in this area. Zazu is a true local gem. Amazing burgers, great drinks, and even better people. Highly recommend!

We tried a variety of dishes, and while some stood out, others left us a bit puzzled--especially the poutine. It came out cold and the flavor just wasn't there. We weren't really sure what direction they were going with it. On a more positive note, the shrimp and grits were pretty good. I just wish there had been a few more shrimp to round out the dish. The mahi was probably my favorite--it was cooked well, had a nice kick of spice, and was full of flavor. As a mushroom lover, I was excited to try the portobello mushroom appetizer. It was decent, but the sauce and overall flavor could've used a little more finesse. I did enjoy trying the beers on tap--especially the IPAs. Great variety and a fun touch for a casual dinner.

Our attendant was Faith - she took very good care of us. We enjoyed talking with her. We give her A++ for doing a great job. Also compliment the young man who cleaned and set up tables AND made sure we had a full glass of water. He said it was his third day on job and he did a wonderful job for being "new". The ambiance was very nice - every person we talked with was very friendly and pleasant. The restaurant was full but the service went smooth. This was our second visit and we plan to come again.

I believe it effected some of the flavors of foods that were boiled in it, too. Gnocchi had some of the same off flavor. In addition, some of the flavors just feel way out of whack for totally unrelated reasons. Sauce that the duck came in was thin and overwhelmed by honey. The risotto it was served with seems like it should be rich and homey. But despite a crazy amount of added dairy still tasted thin and flat. Can't tell you why. Wonky seasoning? None of the dishes reflected any familiarity with acid to lighten or balance a dish. Fried green tomatoes were pretty mid despite a quality remoulade and a bunch of pimento cheese. Ingredients seem like they're decent quality. Desserts are legitimately top notch. Everyone recommends the peanut butter pie. And it is excellent, though pretty obviously not long out of the freezer. The affogato Is legitimately fantastic. And I'm not even talking about the pageantry of dumping the espresso on the salt ice cream. The combo is legitimately satisfying, like a well-rounded creamy candy. The plates are funky and cool and beautiful. The staff all seem like they're 19, attractive, and gregarious.
