    Salted Watermelon Margarita
    Whitney B.

The customer service was amazing. The bartender recommended some good drinks to choose from the menu. The salted Watermelon Margarita did not miss. The food was fresh and hot and comes in large portions. The food is worth the price and I definitely recommend this restaurant. Overall the restaurant was clean and welcoming and I will definitely spread the word about this place!!

The food and service at all of the Baumhower Family of restaurants is always amazing. Auburn is a unique Baumhower's as it took an existing space including a pizza oven. If everything else weren't so good, I'd try a pizza!

This was my first time try this restaurant and from the start it went pretty well. When we first walked in we were greeted and were seated the moment we walked in.The food was pretty good and plenty wasn't bad for the price. It didn't take long for us to receive our food or drinks. The server was very helpful on recommending food and drinks to us while we sat at the bar and after trying to the food and drinks we ordered it was too and wasn't disappointed.I'd definitely recommend going as a group or during sports season.

Super cool place with a nice sports bar vibe. I had been to another location a few years back so was excited to come try it again at a different location. The naan chicken Philly was very tasty and well done. The fries extremely lack flavor but were good with a side of dipping sauce. Service was good and the restaurant itself is large with ample TVs and a lot of seating space. It was a nice day and we hoped to sit outside but it was blocked off for an event. Make sure to specify you want lunch menu items at lunch menu pricing or they charge you full price even during the lunch hours.

We have eaten here pretty regular over the years. The food is always pretty consistent. I always get hot traditional wings and they are cooked crispy without even asking. The sauce has just the right kick and they sauce them up good. The homemade fried mozzarella is really good and I love the in house marinara. The Bam Bam shrimp with Thai sweet chili sauce is also a fan favorite. They have happy hour M-F until 6pm and I can testify that the draft beer is cold which is a big plus. Sometimes, like tonight, the pizza is not available which is a downside. They have over 70 televisions I believe so it is a great place to watch sports. Overall, Baumhower's is a solid place to eat, drink and relax.

Great service, quick food and solid American style bar classics. They have plenty of TV's too for catching any game from any seat in the house. Will be coming back.

Wings were so overcooked. I wouldn't have fed them to my dog. The food used to be good here.

A friend & I got to drop in for lunch, and it did not disappoint. The decor hasn't changed much - it's still comfortable & clean. There's free parking in the front & sides of the building. Love: service (kind, helpful); lobster egg rolls (crispy, delicious filling); turkey wrap (soft lavosh bread, dip in honey mustard & tzatziki); sweet potato chips (best in the restaurant game); toffee cake (moist, added praline pecans for crunch)

Once again it was our annual LSU women's basketball game pilgrimage so Gary, Garrett and I piled…read moreinto Paul's truck and we headed down to Auburn on a beautiful Sunday afternoon. Garrett suggested Amsterdam for lunch. Located near the Auburn campus, Amsterdam is one of more well known eateries off campus. Students may not have eaten at Amsterdam, but most can point you in the right direction. I've been tricked by appearances before but Amsterdam is in a category of its own. There's a front and a back part of the building. But I didn't know that until we were led to our table in the back. The front part is a typical "smallish" restaurant with tight booths and tables. The decorations of impressionist painters adorn the walls giving the front dining room a warm inviting feel. When we were led to our table, I thought I was being led to the restrooms. We actually went past the restrooms down a small flight of stairs and into another large room. This beautiful back room was oozing the "hidden wine cellar" vibe throughout. There were tables and chairs in the center with smaller tables and chairs lining one wall and booths on another. Then there's a large full service bar lining the 3rd wall and a workstation on the 4th wall. The ceiling with hanging panels of wood moved the light beautifully and impressed me. There was also a large floor to ceiling wine rack next to our 4 top. Gary tried their Omelet. Three eggs served with conecuh sausage, bacon, onions, peppers, cheddar cheese, and potatoes. With the sourdough toast, the plating was immaculate. I didn't get to taste it, but Gary didn't have any deiicions/ Garrett opted for their Brunch special: Apple & Pecan Freeman toast. When it arrived to our table, we immediately noticed the large slices of French toast. As promised, the French toast was topped with slices of peaches and apples and butter brown sugar with white powder sugar as well. Again I didn't get to taste, but I savored it with my eye. Paul and I tried the Amsterdam Burger. He got some fries as his side, but I upgraded my side to a beautifully plated side salad. With the added fried egg, my patty was grilled to a perfect medium with just a hint of pink. Stacked with it was some lettuce, caramelized onions, applewood bacon, spicy pickles, tomato and their traditional burger sauce all squeezed together between 2 bun halves, it has to be stabbed with a long food pick to hold it together. It was juicy, tasty and just Yom Yom Yom Yom. Our server was attentive and checked on us frequently. Other notable menu items include fried brussels, lobster egg rolls, rum salmon, breakfast croissant, snickerdoodle pancakes, steak & eggs, egg white omelet and shrimp & grits. I was told their Crab Cake & Avocado is to die for. Meal prices are on the high end but Amsterdam understands how to elevate Southern comfort food.
