    20 wings

This place is centrally located on College Street near Toomer's Corner. That will immediately make it a go-to place to grab "sports bar" food. In fact, every time I am in Auburn, this is where I take folks for wings. The three star description of "A-Ok" is very accurate. The food here will quench your craving for whatever unhealthy food is on your mind. For me, it's always wings and fries. I can't complain about the food, but I also can't rave about it. I can tell you that the servers have always been good. The first time I was there, there was a wait for some inexplicable reason. There were only a hand full of tables seated, but we still had to wait for a bit. When I want wings, I will go back... unless someone suggest a better place.

"Bartender" should be fired. All of our pitchers looked like this.

Server is rude, bartender fills the pitchers full of foam. Our group was made to feel unwelcome until the bill came and they attempted to help themselves to the mandatory tip. After we finished our meal, the "manager" made a point to come outside and threaten me to come back after 9 to "settle this".

Service could be a bit better and the food is just average, but this is a great place to come play trivia. They have a lot of TVs here and one big screen at the main seating area so its also great place to come watch sports and have a beer or two. They have daily specials from tacos to burger and drink specials and have trivia two nights a week at least. I think general trivia is Tuesday at 8pm and Thursday at 7:30pm and they have adult trivia Thursdays at 9:30pm. They are serious about it being adult too, the topics and comments can be VERY ... grown up.. so I would advise against bringing the young ones.

Great adult place for an enjoyable evening in a college town. Great food variety and an amazing team. Been coming over a year as a regular, and I love on Atlanta. Highly recommend.

Awesome place to see a game. Food is great. Good people. Service is awesome too. No longer a dive bar since it got all cleaned up.

Ruined by the menu change and the vending machine is still the most irritating part about that place.

Wings are small, fries are good, service was pretty good. It's a sports bar, I'd go with a buddy but wouldn't take a family.

Really good food for a sports bar. The nachos with pulled pork are outstanding. Lots of tvs for any game to watch.

Great wings and beer selection. Very friendly wait staff. Parking is an issue but the city now has valet parking.

I started off with the Moon Over Madagascar, and let me tell you--if this drink had a fan club, I'd be president. The black tea and vanilla combo sounded like a weird dare at first, but it ended up being shockingly amazing. Whoever came up with that mix deserves a bonus and maybe a parade. Now, let's talk about the shrimp and grits, because these were not just "good." These were "call your mama and tell her you've tasted greatness" good. The chef is from South Carolina, and you can taste every bit of Lowcountry pride in that bowl. Perfectly cooked grits? Check. Pile of blackened shrimp? Double check. A sauce that made me rethink my entire life? Oh yeah. If they sold that sauce by the gallon, I'd be bankrupt but extremely happy. Erica, our waitress, was an absolute rockstar. Super helpful, incredibly informative, and somehow managed to keep the perfect balance of friendly and professional--even on the Sunday after the Iron Bowl, when half of Auburn is stress-eating. The place was spotless too, which is impressive considering the emotional damage that game causes every year. Bottom line: The Hound is a must-visit. Come hungry, order boldly, and thank me later.

A friend & I got to drop in for lunch, and it did not disappoint. The decor hasn't changed much - it's still comfortable & clean. There's free parking in the front & sides of the building. Love: service (kind, helpful); lobster egg rolls (crispy, delicious filling); turkey wrap (soft lavosh bread, dip in honey mustard & tzatziki); sweet potato chips (best in the restaurant game); toffee cake (moist, added praline pecans for crunch)

Garrett suggested Amsterdam for lunch. Located near the Auburn campus, Amsterdam is one of more well known eateries off campus. Students may not have eaten at Amsterdam, but most can point you in the right direction. I've been tricked by appearances before but Amsterdam is in a category of its own. There's a front and a back part of the building. But I didn't know that until we were led to our table in the back. The front part is a typical "smallish" restaurant with tight booths and tables. The decorations of impressionist painters adorn the walls giving the front dining room a warm inviting feel. When we were led to our table, I thought I was being led to the restrooms. We actually went past the restrooms down a small flight of stairs and into another large room. This beautiful back room was oozing the "hidden wine cellar" vibe throughout. There were tables and chairs in the center with smaller tables and chairs lining one wall and booths on another. Then there's a large full service bar lining the 3rd wall and a workstation on the 4th wall. The ceiling with hanging panels of wood moved the light beautifully and impressed me. There was also a large floor to ceiling wine rack next to our 4 top. Gary tried their Omelet. Three eggs served with conecuh sausage, bacon, onions, peppers, cheddar cheese, and potatoes. With the sourdough toast, the plating was immaculate. I didn't get to taste it, but Gary didn't have any deiicions/ Garrett opted for their Brunch special: Apple & Pecan Freeman toast. When it arrived to our table, we immediately noticed the large slices of French toast. As promised, the French toast was topped with slices of peaches and apples and butter brown sugar with white powder sugar as well. Again I didn't get to taste, but I savored it with my eye. Paul and I tried the Amsterdam Burger. He got some fries as his side, but I upgraded my side to a beautifully plated side salad. With the added fried egg, my patty was grilled to a perfect medium with just a hint of pink. Stacked with it was some lettuce, caramelized onions, applewood bacon, spicy pickles, tomato and their traditional burger sauce all squeezed together between 2 bun halves, it has to be stabbed with a long food pick to hold it together. It was juicy, tasty and just Yom Yom Yom Yom. Our server was attentive and checked on us frequently. Other notable menu items include fried brussels, lobster egg rolls, rum salmon, breakfast croissant, snickerdoodle pancakes, steak & eggs, egg white omelet and shrimp & grits. I was told their Crab Cake & Avocado is to die for. Meal prices are on the high end but Amsterdam understands how to elevate Southern comfort food.
