GREAT NEW BOULDER RESTAURANT... Grand Opening the other night was fantastic! Great food - Nashville Hot Chicken Sandwich (to die for) and oysters were so good. Nice signature cocktails were delicious and they had a band outside that was super awesome. It's crazy they've been only open for like 3-4 weeks, and already they are a hit in the neighborhood. They've been packed every time I've been in. The staff is also fantastic, so friendly, helpful and easy going. This place is going to Become a fan favorite. The service was great. And the vibe of the place was good as well. The food was not. They are doing wayyyy too much. We had the buffalo cauliflower(3/5), mussels(1/5), spicy tuna roll (3/5), and garlic knots (2/5). Everything was bland and flavorless. I also got the martini, also way too much going on, and it was 2/5. It is a great concept and fun place, they even had live music while we were there on a Saturday night, but they need to tighten up the menu. My wife and I typically eat out multiple times per week. Therefore we experience a lot of restaurants. Boulder Social has become one of our regular stops. Typically, once per week. The place is well managed, good food, good ambiance with their out door patio and regular entertainment...excellent, motivated staff. The staff is happy and friendly (always a good sign)...and we have gotten to know several of them quite well. Since we eat there often, we are always trying their specials...and we like what they do. In our opinion, for the money...this is a good, solid value. Highly recommended. read more

Very clean and updated interior. Huge TVs. The vegan Reuben sandwich was 5 stars and the best I have ever had. The bread and flavors were outstanding and I will be back for it. For context, I would say it is 3x more exciting than the Tempeh Reuben available at the Sun Pubs in town. The fries were solid, as well. I kept my expectations low for the beer and was impressed by their in-house hazy IPA. I will knock off a star because my spouse said the fish from the fish & chips didn't have much flavor, she also didn't dip them into anything. We have been to the Boulder Social two times. Both times we had Erin as our server. She was amazing! Very friendly and efficient, even though it was really busy! The food was delicious! We should've just listened to the other reviewers, but we were so hungry! One reviewer said everything tasted sour. It did! Although, not the salsa. It had no flavor at all. Tomatoes and water, really. The stale chips that went along were tasteless, too. The salmon was dry and over cooked. Sides were sour. The vegan Reuben was so greasy it was hard to hold together. Also sour. The buffalo cauliflower was oddly slimey...and sour. It has been a while since we've regretted a dining experience this much. Our server was nice. Not super helpful, but nice! read more

I was looking forward to Boulder Social because I had heard good things about it and Boulder has so many good restaurants. Well, I was gravely disappointed. I went there for lunch with three other ladies last week. It is pleasant on the front patio. That was the best part. I ordered the prime rib sliders. Everything on the menu sounded good. Well the sliders weren't even mediocre. They were a one on a ten scale. The meat was dry and over done. The horseradish aioli was tasteless as was the au jus on the side. There were little fried onions on top but they were stale and tasted like they'd been cooked at least one day before. I wanted to ask for more aioli to make it a little less dry. I never had a chance. The waitress never once came back to the table to ask how things were or if we needed anything. She took our order and brought the check with no service in between. I thought it was customary to come to the table after the food is served to ask how things are. By the way one friend had a hamburger which she didn't like. Another had two kinds of sushi. She didn't like the tuna roll at all. She gave me a sample and I agree. It didn't taste fresh, was dry and again kind of tasteless. It would have been a little understandable about the bad service if they had been busy but they were not. We went at 1:00 on a weekday. I do not recommend this place at all. read more

I don't like to leave bad reviews but sadly I didn't have much of a good experience here. Upon arrival, I was hastily greeted by a rather disgruntled and unfriendly host. Didn't smile, seemed annoyed, didn't make eye contact and wasn't a good first impression at all. Our assigned waiter was Andy and he was an absolute pleasure, kind and courteous and the reason I at least left 2 stars. The food was straight up terrible. I ordered the muscles. Not only were they absolutely tiny, but they looked diseased and some tasted off. I really was hesitant to eat this dish at all. Not very flavorful either. Next I ordered the fig and prosciutto pizza. The pizza tasted old and pre frozen, barely 5 microscopic shavings of prosciutto. I don't think it even registered on my tongue. Mostly covered in arugula and tons of fig jam. The pizza was dry and bland and boring. It really was a huge disappointment. They did comp they pizza after I humbly mentioned that the pizza really just wasn't good. I had half a slice if that's any indicator. So I'm grateful for the comp. Unfortunately I won't be back to eat here again. The old, thick pizza base and microscopic muscles told me all I need to know. They cut corners and ingredients are old and cheap. Before eating here, I would ask yourself one question. How good can a restaurant be that serves Sushi, Pizza, Mexican food, Burgers, Seafood, etc? All coming out of the same kitchen.... High prices for a place that doesn't know what it is and is average at best. $10 for chips and salsa, lol. The problem here is, they still think it is Covid and everyone is willing to pay to help you beat the bad times. In reality the economy has changed yet these places are still charging crazy prices. Have been twice since opening, and both times food has been excellent, which is tough with such a broad menu. Tried both tuna tower and ahi tuna salad, and liked them both. Fig pizza was different and awesome, with almost a barbecue-like taste. Recommend the Coco Fuego cocktail for a unique take on a marg, except with coconut tequila. Service was friendly, and you can tell the GM Ryan is working his butt off. Of course there will be some growing pains in the early days, but it definitely feels like Boulder Social is going to inhabit this space longer than Fate or any of the previous recent occupants. Great atmosphere as a sports bar but service is lacking. Former waitperson and restaurant manager so I notice details. It just takes a second to swing by the table and say I'm so and so and I'll be with you in a moment. 17 minutes before we were approach. Slow to get drinks which is not his fault but after getting our food, never saw him again until he swung by to drop off our check, before we were finished eating. They may have been short staffed but management should know what a waitperson can handle and get out on the floor and expedite if need be. read more

We had a side of cheese curds...they were totally awesome just out of the basket, but they're served with a marinara that made me behave like a bear eating cocaine. We literally couldn't stop. But y'all: any place that can make me feel like that about a freaking side salad is on a whole new level. Yes, the white balsamic if fantastico, but it wasn't just that. What else can you change about a salad, but the dressing, for crying out loud? I'm generally a fan of Frank Day's organization's fingerprint on entities they get involved with. I've gone to Boulder Social at least 14 times prior. Food and service were generally okay. Boulder Social had a tough start when they opened this location as it took at least several months to get staff adequately trained. I can understand that. Now, about two years later I'm far less inclined to re-visit. Like usual, I sat at the bar. I came in on a recent Saturday afternoon, about 2:30 pm - not busy, perhaps 20 dining customers in the entire place. Five persons at the bar. Two bartenders/servers at the bar area. The first one quickly delivered a menu (I didn't get her name) the other named Dani (usually pleasant, but not today). She took my order for a beer and their special "Winner, Winner Chicken Dinner for $20.00". I asked her opinion and she said it has been on and off the menu, that they were experimenting with it. After 15 minutes, I received my order (much longer than usual). It was a 3/8" thin, roundish slab of breaded chicken about 5 inches by 4 inches across hidden under a handful of spring mix greens with about 6 cherry tomatoes cut in half and about 8-10 small cubes of mozzarella cheese. Oh, and two small lemon wedges on the side. It was HORIBLE. The chicken was as dry as the Mojave desert and totally tasteless. The spring mix on top had no discernable dressing. I was very hungry and slowly ate it over 15 minutes. Not once did anyone come to ask how it was despite the two bartenders not being busy and very few patrons at the bar or restaurant. About five minutes after I finished my first beer, Dani came over. She asked if I'd like another. I acquiesced. No other words from her so I quickly chimed - "I have some unsolicited advice - the chicken dinner was horrible. I highly recommend it not be permanently placed on the menu". Not a word from her. Ten minutes later when I had to waive someone down to close my tab I saw I was slightly over-charged for my beers/meal. Wow. $55.00 (yes, including the $7 tip I left, kicking myself for doing that much now) for two beers and piece of terrible chicken with a literal handful of spring mix on top. Wow. What a snub. Sorry Mr. Day - your staff failed you. I would have had a far better (and cheaper) time sitting at home with my self-made food and store bought beer.....Not why a person wants to go out. People go to restaurants to be treated as if they are appreciated and perhaps have a pleasant social experience at least with a smile and some small talk from the staff if that patron is unaccompanied. Oh - and why is it that every time I go to Boulder Social my credit card statement says "Stout Street". Are you guys too cheap to have a separate account for the Boulder Location of Boulder Social versus Stout Street in Denver? Not returning nor am I recommending this place any longer. I was excited To try this spot since I saw they carry Grüvi products. I tried the Grüvi non alcoholic IPA and hot chicken sandwich with tater tots. The tots were good and the sandwich was extremely messy and under seasoned. I wish they used slightly denser bun so it wouldn't have gotten so flat and soggy while eating. Also would have been better if the chicken was crisp and actually spicy instead of oversized and fatty. It was an okay meal. But was it worth $25 for a sandwich and drink? Absolutely not. They brew some of their beers so it's definitely a brewery but the interior gives sports bar vibes--it felt a half tier above a TGI Fridays. Not horrible, but it's an overpriced family friendly environment with sports games playing all around the restaurant if that's your vibe read more

Came with 8 other people and we are all in agreeance that the food was really good. Everyone finished I got the cuban sandwich and a strawberry daiquiri. The daiquiri was really really good i had to stop myself from finishing it before my food got to the table. The cuban was good but the bread was slightly burnt however it still didnt disappoint. It came with fries which were really good as well. My friend got the buffalo chicken mac and cheese (it cost $6 extra for the chicken) but the piece of chicken was really small but it tasted really really good. Will probably be back again to try other things and the cocktail list looks pretty good as well. read more

Unlike the previous restaurants at this location, the food was extremely good. Cocktails were also great (multiple types of old fashions for example) as were the on tap beer selection. Servings were large. Ingredients were fresh. My son said best food he's had in Boulder for a few years! We will absolutely go back. Highly recommended! read more
