Liviu and his small, agile crew were the best movers I have ever worked with, and like most city dwellers, I have moved a lot! Liviu managed my move from South Boston to the South Shore with professionalism, courtesy and efficiency. If you've moved a lot like me, you know most movers can lift heavy stuff -- it's factors like timeliness, promptness and trustworthiness that make the difference. Liviu delivers on all those factors.

(Focus specializes in piano moving, and I needed my childhood piano + a few other miscellaneous items transported from Massachusetts to New York.) Owner Liviu responded to my initial quote query (which was competitive) nearly immediately and within the hour confirmed he'd be able to meet my timing needs, despite the holiday season. Furthermore, though I provided a 5-6 day window, he offered to complete the move on MY ideal date. Sweet. What was great about the move itself? My mom indicated that Liviu and his right hand man showed up at her home at the exact appointed hour and that they carefully packed and protected all of the items that were to be trucked. In fact she let me know that Liviu and crew "were the best movers" she'd ever used and that she'd be using them for her own upcoming entire-home move. A bold statement, considering she's moved a LOT. Liviu was also a fab communicator. He kept me informed of his whereabouts via text message, sent email reminders and arrived on time at my delivery location as well. Additionally, Focus stuck to its quote (and then some, as Liviu delivered a couple of other less heavy items on the house without a quote adjustment), damaged nothing in transit and carefully yet swiftly manned my heavy upright Yamaha into its new abode. Thanks Focus Moving! : )

They even helped my roommate move her stuff in after mine (prearranged but still nice of them). All of my items made it to my new home as is! I would definitely hire them for my next move. Also I'd recommend getting a moving permit for the street you're moving from/ to regardless of who you hire for movers (speaking to other reviews)- that's the individual's (who is moving) responsibility, not the movers.

They told me it would take like around 5 hours that include time that movers spend getting to your place and time that they spend do deliver your furniture to new address. I really enjoy choosing this company as the guys show up in time. They were quick and careful with my stuff. I had some last minute packing and they help me with that as well. I was really afraid that we will have hard time of getting out and in my huge couch as I had very bad experience previously. But they got a trick and where able to move my couch true window. I would never have thought that it could be done that way. As a result my furniture was delivered safe, no damage and it took them only 4 hours to do that . We moved a 3 floor townhouse worth of big ticket furniture, boxes, and other odds and ends (such as an elliptical machine) near New Hampshire, to a 3 floor house in Boston. The quoting process and their inventory system process was a breeze to use, which helped them facilite the correct sized moving truck to be used. They were very accommodating with our moving period/schedule. The communication was very clear and concise, with very prompt responses via email whenever we had a question or concern. We honestly set it, and forget it until moving day arrived. The day before moving day, we received the timeframe window the movers would come. Day of the move, the truck and three movers came. They went over the cost breakdown with us again, so that there were no surprises for us (there were none!). We gave them a quick walk-through of our place and what was moving. They formulated their moving plan, and how they'd load the moving truck, and quickly packed up and moved everything into the truck. The movers wrapped up all the big ticket furniture in blankets and taped it to avoid any dents/damage. They were also very polite, and asked for permission, when they needed a quick break (3 flights of stairs is a lot of work!). Once they we done, they drove over to Boston for the unload process. Again, they were very quick and efficient. We went through a walkthrough in the Boston house, for them to formulate what would go where, and off to the races they went. Some of the big ticket items (Queen size beds w/ headboards, antique hutches, dressers), I had concerns about fitting into bending stairways... they were able to alleviate. We had a large L shaped couch, they removed (and later put back on) the legs, and were able to navigate the tight turns going up stairs to make it fit! Once they were done with the move, they went over the cost breakdown one more time before payment (again no surprises from our end with it). I would highly recommend M&M Moving. Everyone we interacted with from their end, during this moving process, was very professional, nice, courteous, and efficient.
