They were great when I set up the unit. Now, not so much. They jack up the price periodically with little notice. I was victim of fraud and my credit card was changed. I have been playing phone tag to get my bill caught up and they charge me $110 extra - no concern or appreciation for loyalty. Extremely disasatisfied! read more

The Staff especially Holly are exceptional professional and extremely friendly. I never had an issue with access or needing to find a cart. No strange odors the facility was clean and free of any hazards that may cause injury. The only issue I had was with the consistent monthly price increases. I can understand the need to increase prices periodically. However, it is stated in the contract and we were made aware of future increases but it was slightly off putting having it happen every month especially in the last few months we occupied the space. Very clean place. Promotional deal was great. After loading most our unit I asked Christine if I could rent a unit myself as I had to much personal stuff to put in the unit my husband just rented. She said NO. I asked can my adult daughter rent it, she said NO. She did not want us to take advantage of the promotional offer. So she tells a grown woman that Cubesmart will now not rent to her in her own name! My husbands name is in the first unit, he is responsible for it legally it has nothing to do with me. Perhaps Cubesmart likes employees that save them a few bucks on units and rather leave the units open and not rented at all? I had the option to book it online right there in Cubesmarts parking lot but I d coded if Cubesmart doesn't want my business for the next few months I booked their competitor right up the street! Look my rental does not make or break Cubesmarts bank. Iam starting a new business this upcoming month and will need a lot of storage space. Cubesmart unknowingly screwed themselves out of long term rentals due to their employees determination to save them one months rent from getting away. If it's me or some other renter the promotion still gives a month free so what exactly DID they save by this? Bottom line is she had the power to say NO and so she did. I have the power to not use them again as my storage facility I believe a company is only as good as its employees. read more

Feb. 2018 Update: I upgraded twice to larger units since my initial review. CubeSmart has increased my price twice in the past year, equating to a 20% higher monthly charge. Really disappointed, and will consider going elsewhere. read more

I stored my items here for 3 months and it was a very positive experience. Setting up the reservation, moving in, and checking out was all very easy, mainly thanks to Christine (one of the store managers)! A LOT OF HIDDEN FEES/ADMIN FEES Yes the facility is clean and modern. Employees are helpful and friendly. But they increase the rates after the first month. You have to pay admin fees for everything! You have to buy insurance from them, and they have their own locks that you have to purchase as well. And not to mention again... Admin fees. Also, I just rented their "free" moving truck which is actually 10 dollars for the first month, then 39 dollars anytime after that. It's not free folks, as it is plastered on the side of the truck. At least the employees are honest and upfront with the fees. That's why I give them 2 stars. In the end, for whatever "deal" you think you're getting initially for a storage unit, it ends up being either the same or more out of your pocket than their competitors. read more

I recently moved to Ma. from Virginia. Storing an entire home for a short time before our move into our new house was exhausting and stressful. Christine, Holly and Alex were extremely friendly and professional and helped me relax and know everything would be fine. The facility was able to accommodate a large tractor trailer. Great access right off of 93. The building is very well secured and extremely clean. I even had to rent another small unit at the last minute, they found one on the same floor and made the transaction quick and easy as I had the movers to attend to. My husband and I rented a storage unit from this facility in September 2017. The facility is clean and easily accessible and initially we were pleased with it. However exactly at the 6 month mark of our rental, we received a notice in the mail stating our rent would be increasing by greater than 20%. It's extremely concerning that they would do this so early in our rental and makes us concerned they will continue to raise the prices frequently - as we have read in other reviews. I contacted the manager who informed me in a rude tone that this is their policy and they will continue to raise the rent "periodically" but could not define what that meant. We were planning on staying here for years and are now going to take our items to a different storage facility. read more

The facility is extremely clean and it has nice hours. Customer service is just ok. Called a few times and the person on the phone would have to ask the other person in office for answer to question while one the phone. I spoke to someone in the office and said I would be vacating soon and then received a call from another in the office asking if I vacated...felt rushed out which I shouldn't as they make you pay for the full month anyway! My interactions with Holly and Barbara, who manage the facility, were excellent and thorough. Prices seem competitive with others and the facility is immaculately clean and well maintained. I recently rented a "cube" from this facility and it couldn't have been easier. I was able to reserve my unit ahead of time online, and drove over to sign the contract the same day. The regional manager Holly was very friendly and made things quick and easy for me. The facility is clean and well-maintained, and has nice modern features such as automated lighting, big elevator, ect. They also have many large carts for shuttling your items to and fro, and unlike some other storage facilities, they do not keep them chained up so that you have to get somebody to unlock them. You must have an access code to enter the building, so there is little chance of someone getting in and stealing anything. There are some additional fees on top of your initial monthly, but this is true for any storage facility. The only negative I found was the $16 lock fee you are required to pay in order to use the specialized locks that are on each unit. The advantage to these locks is they are impossible to cut, and if you lose your keys (they give you three) they can still open the unit for you. It is actually a nice system, and I understand the fee goes toward any lock replacements, keying the locks (specialized keys), ect. I wish it was a bit cheaper but I can't complain too much. Also, all renters are required to purchase one of the insurance plans which starts at $12 a month. I usually get the insurance anyway, so I didn't mind too much, but it is something to consider. They also have a box truck that you can borrow for moving. Yes the truck says "free" but of course nothing is really free so there are some small charges and you have to leave a deposit, but honestly it is way more affordable than renting from U-Haul or wherever so I plan on utilizing this service very soon. Overall it has been a great experience. read more
