Just the best burger I dream about this burger a lot. Just melts in your mouth. The best burger in the world at a sit down restaurant. These burgers are called the parlor burgers, but they let you order it at their restaurant upstairs at Borough. I'd rather sit up here instead of going downstairs where it's very dark and gloomy down there. It's a speakeasy down there. Service was spectacular today. I like sitting at the bar here next to the kitchen. P.S. The fries were too golden today. Usually like them soft. Next I'll ask if they can be on the softer side.

Great food very attentive service and good vibe Kinda pricey but the quality makes up for it Really good food and drinks Very helpful staff Nice spot that works for both casual or a nice date spot Great food without being pretentious Parking lot nearby with very limited spots so plan to troll for parking Recommend if you want a good burger/steak and wine.

We were a party of 7 with one member arriving late. Kudos to our server, Tim, for ensuring that our latecomer's order was out moments after the rest of us were served. Nicely done! I've wanted to try arancini for a long time and this Mushroom Arancini was delicious. Crispy crust on the outside, creamy risotto and mushrooms inside made for a perfect bite. For mains I chose the Cavatelli, a rich, fresh pasta dish with charred sweet corn, jalapeño pesto, mushrooms, and a smoked soy sauce. I found zero corn kernels, which was disappointing. However, the flavors were good, the pasta clearly fresh, and quite filling. Some of our group had been here before and knew they could order from Parlour, the downstairs restaurant, and Tim delivered it to our table. Tim distinguished himself when I was telling our group a story about a very rude guy I met for a date; he stopped, looked right at me and said, "I can't believe you're telling this story and embarrassing me in front of all these people!" It took us awhile to stop laughing and Tim got a big tip from me! LOL!

My partner and I came here for Valentine's Day and we had a great experience trying various dishes and enjoying our space in a fancy setting. We thought most of the good was great and would recommend anyone coming here to have a great time! Having strawberry and fennel made it an interesting combination with the foie gras and they worked together very well, so we thoroughly enjoyed the toast. The grilled octopus was also pretty solid, and the kalamansi vinaigrette worked well in providing an additional layer of flavor. The spicy lobster spaghetti had very good textural consistency with the chili tomato dauce and bottarga, with the latter providing a different kind of saltiness as it is fish roe. We also enjoyed eating the dark chocolate cremeux tart and the budino. They had an adequate amount of sweetness in different ways. I thought the salmon was nice as well, and the coconut-lime beurre blanc provided a unique type flavor, albeit there was a bit too much of it. The baby beets had a good amount of orange and radish, and I personally wished there was more beets included. Finally, we were confused about the baklava tart because we thought it tasted like a harder version of sweet potato pie, and the only thing that made it baklava was the pistachio pieces on the top. Side note, the valet guy was working very hard on that day despite all the snow, trying to fetch every customer's car with no complaints. We waited for a bit longer in the cold but that was okay because the valet guy was clearly working very hard. I would love the restaurant to consider additional staffing so that customers don't need to wait too long for their cars, and so that the valet guy won't feel like he has to do everything.

Celebrated a birthday dinner at Borough (above Parlour Bar) and had a fantastic experience. We had the friendliest service (from our host and server) and it truly made the experience all the much better. Great ambiance and fantastic food and drinks as well. For a cocktail, I started with the Parlour old fashioned. Very spirit forward and very tasty. (I later went on to go with the recommended wine pairing for the meal, which I thought was a super nice touch to include on the menu! I wish other restaurants did that as well, to be honest.) Starter: Arancini. It comes with just one, so I would recommend ordering a few for the table if you are sharing. This is a very delicious take on arancini - made with peas. Main: Grilled steak with fingerling potatoes. I had assumed the portions would be smaller, so we also got additional sides for the table, which in hindsight probably wasn't necessary! Steak was perfectly grilled (medium rare) with a crisp exterior and tender interior. The fingerling potatoes were very flavorful and covered in Parmesan cheese. Side: Brussels sprouts with pickled red onions and ham. Very flavorful and glad we got these to try (although we ended up taking most of them home). Dessert: Affogato for dessert! They had "caramel delight" and chocolate as the options this night, which differed from the two on our printed menu. The caramel was sweet and, with the espresso, resulted in a caramel macchiato kind of taste once all melted. Glad it came in a tea cup to drink! Overall, strongly recommend checking out Borough if you're in the North Loop area!

Restaurant week at @boroughmpls ended my bad food streak. The food was great and so was the service. Lobster spaghetti was the best I've had in a long time. Restaurant Week is your time to try a new place with a pre fix menu for a good price.

There have been meals at Borough we've thoroughly enjoyed and others that fall way short. Today I had the pork chop and I liked everything about the dish except for the pork chop which was raw is some areas and overly fatty and sinewy in others. The provided steak knife was no match. Disappointing and the slightly less expensive pork chop at sister restaurant is incredible.

Delicious food with modern rustic farmhouse vibes. Service was excellent for the most part. On street parking is available but valet parking is a nice option when they are full. Ambiance (4/5) Warm wood features with natural tones with a contemporary look. Service (4/5) Friendly and helpful waitstaff. Service was excellent except for a mishap during dessert. One server took our order and a different server gave us someone else's order, and not all at once. Food and Drink: FOIE GRAS TOAST (5/5) Delectable! I wish I had ordered 5 of these tiny but mighty appetizers. FRENCH LAVENDER 75 (2/5) The lavender smell was so overpowering that I felt like I was drinking soap. It was a beautiful drink, but didn't taste good to me. CAESAR SALAD (3/5) Tasted like a house made dressing. The huge brioche croutons stole the show! GRILLED FLAT IRON STEAK (3/5) I ordered my steak rare and it was good with the pan fried fingerling potatoes... but I've had better. I'm not a fan of the roasted poblano butter and wished it wasn't smeared over all of the steak slices. BAKLAVA TART (4/5) Yummy dessert that I would rename as "Key Lime Pie with candied pistachios". It did not look or taste anything like a traditional baklava.

This was our first time trying Borough. We made reservations for two on a Saturday evening. It was fairly quiet inside and didn't feel cramped or loud. There are tall ceilings and windows allowing plenty of natural light in. I felt an upscale but semi casual vibe, however you want to make it. We started with the smoked salmon wontons. They were presented in a cute Asian take out box (see pics) and served with a very nummy sweet and sour sauce. I was hoping for a little more smoked salmon filling but they were still very tasty and crunchy! You get five small wontons. For the entrees, we tried the rye cavatelli and the flat iron steak. The lamb sugo base was very light on the tomato and heavy on the Parmesan cream. It satisfied that heavy carb/pasta craving I had and at a decent price. I feel like I'd like it even more if it was a different pasta - the cavatelli kind of looked like little bugs lol. The flat iron steak was a huge disappointment. It was prepared medium pink in the middle but the outside had an unseasoned charred taste. The steak lacked flavor and quality and did not fit this "upscale" feel. I was fairly disappointed in the cocktail options and settled for the jungle bird. It had an odd bitter taste at the end. Maybe go for the wine here instead? I was also disappointed in the side options on the menu and didn't understand where they were going with it. Service was good. There's street/metered parking that fills up pretty fast so you may have to walk a few blocks. Overall, wouldn't dine here unless it's for a quick appetizer.

Came in for restaurant week lunch at Borough in North Loop with a group of 8 on a tight time frame. Our server was attentive, quick, and did his best to move things along so we could make our afternoon meetings. We all ordered the Parlour Burger - just incredible!! With sides of fries, a salad, and a chocolate chip cookie. Hands down one of the best burgers in the Twin Cities

My partner made a reservation for Valentine's Day a few weeks in advance, and I think the process was fairly simple. Some of the pros from our dinner was that we were seated quickly, and got water and a bottle of wine we both liked. The octopus was grilled and I really enjoyed it. I also enjoyed the affogato and our waiter was amazing! A few cons would be that valet wasn't outside so we had to wait a few moments for him. Also our entrees took entirely too long to come out of the kitchen and the waiter never mentioned why. I just figured they got behind since it is a holiday. Other than that I love the atmosphere of this location and all the staff were dressed so beautifully in their Valentine's Day attire. It was a lovely experience and I would recommend for a romantic candle lit dinner!

First time here last night. It was surprisingly not busy for a Friday night. Food was absolutely outstanding. Our drinks were fantastic. Our server could not have been nicer or more attentive to us. Amazing experience, we will be back!

What a fabulous dinner! We ate on the very cute covered patio and brought our toddler. The service was excellent. Drinks were flavorful. We got the tagliatelle which was absolutely delicious. We've gotten the octopus before and this time was just as good. Not too chewy and cooked perfectly with great flavors. We tried the wontons for the first time and they were very unique! Not your typical Asian flavored wonton. It has salmon, capers and a dill flavor which was really fun and interesting. Nice and crispy too. The carrot cake was moist and sweet with pineapple. Also unique and tasty. What a great meal!

Is this place pet friendly? Searched on here for pet friendly places to eat and this place came up as a yes. Tried to go there for lunch with our little dog and was turned away :( their patio is not pet friendly.

The upper patio doesn't allow dogs but the front patio (which might belong to parlour) does as far as I know. Then again, my dog is 25lbs so they might not have known he was there?

The latte came garnished with rose petals and was not too sweet. It was a nice way to start my meal. Then came the sweet potatoes, and oh my God, I think they were the best sweet potatoes I've ever had. They were unbelievably, delectably sweet and cooked perfectly. They had an excellent char while being soft on the inside. And the sweetness was complemented nicely by the maple chili crisp, which had just a bit of a kick. The bison skirt steak tacos were also delicious. The bison was so tender and juicy. Full of flavor and cooked superbly. My server wasn't kidding when she said the tacos were big enough to share between a few people. I ate the tacos by myself, and I was beyond stuffed. Alas, I wasn't a big fan of the spoonbread. The flavor wasn't bad, but I didn't care for the texture, which was a little too coarse for me. The dessert was gluten-free, and I could REALLY tell. It was also too spicy for me. The spoonbread was drenched in hot honey. But the sweet potatoes, tacos, and attentive & friendly service more than made up for it. Every course and every pairing was explained in detail, and the staff clearly knew their craft. Service - they absolutely delivered. We chose The W.C. Whitney Menu. I had the Premium Wine Pairing, which was excellent and very well done. My wife chose the Temperance Pairing since she does not drink alcohol. This was one of the few disappointments of the evening. Many of the drinks were designed to mimic the taste of cocktails and wine, while my wife does not care for the taste of alcoholic drinks. When it came to the food, there was a range. Some dishes were truly outstanding and worthy of Demi's reputation. Some were good but not exactly great. And honestly, a few were mediocre. With a tasting menu, you expect some variation, but at this level and at this price, mediocre does not cut it. Here's what it really comes down to. I would rate the experience itself 5-stars. But the cost of the evening did not come close to matching what was delivered. I was not looking for, or expecting value! We spent over $700 for the evening. Demi is very good. There wasn't anything I didn't like except dessert was not included in our meal so for extra $ we did split one and was delicious They did send me home with some mini coconut macaroons which was a nice touch Ambiance - was lovely sitting at the counter, restaurant was full but not crazy loud for a Saturday night! The menu changes seasonally so I'll be back in the fall to try that Parking- free street parking If your looking for a high quality tasting menu book here

It is very good. It may not be outstanding, hence the 4 stars…read more This is a review specifically for the restaurant side, and you're going to have to sort the cafe/hotel/restaurant ones. A lot was on point. They had super interesting wines by the glass, the appetizers were outstanding, my duck breast was served with a perfectly smoky pepper reduction, and it was fun watching the open kitchen. We also appreciated the creativity of the uni spaghetti we were served. They do a no tipping/hospitality included model, which is nice to know what you're getting. But also, a lot was a bit off. Water took 10 minutes to get even when all the waiters were waiting for the kitchen to plate the next course. Cocktails were uninspired, basically just the flavors of the classics but with extra price. Dessert was additional, and honestly I think if you're going to do a prix fixe (which I love), do it as appetizer-main-dessert. Said uni spaghetti was creative, but lacking in balance, especially compared to the pear-nduja bruschetta (lovely) and said duck breast. I walked out feeling not unhappy, but not anywhere near one of my best experiences.
