This spot has really improved! Went in today for my usual 10 piece spicy wings and decided to try their house fried rice, they were both on point! The wings were crispy and SPICY! The rice was soft and tasty! There was a wonderful girl at the front register who is an ideal candidate for customer service! A nice experience!

Signature Fried Chicken Combo - 10 Wings + 5 Drums

Just as good as any Bonchon I've been to - at least food wise. This location is a bit on the small side and doesn't have much seating, but the food is on par with any Bonchon I've ordered from. My wife and I decided to order Bonchon for Super Bowl Sunday and we were so glad that we did. Of course their menu is built around their signature fried chicken and that was excellent, but we also ordered the Pork Buns and Korean Tacos with Bulgogi and they were shockingly, to us, the stars of our meal. First, the fried chicken. We ordered a 10 wings + 5 drums combo and that was just enough for us for 2 meals. Sometimes it's kind of a hit or miss when you do takeout for fried chicken since the chicken might lose its crispiness, but when we dug in, the chicken was crispy like it just came out of the frier! Still fried to perfection. OK, so most people are familiar with how good the chicken is, but the Pork Buns and Korean Tacos were soooooo good. Both the Pork Buns and Tacos were topped with coleslaw and spicy mayo and they were absolutely DELICIOUS. Honestly, we wish we had one more of each because there were only 3 of each, so we had to share 1 for both - womp, womp. Bonchon has always been one of the OGs of the Korean Fried Chicken revolution and, from the looks of what we had, this location in Lodi hasn't lost a single step.

Ordered a lunch meal from here 8 piece wings with a side and everything came super cold. The fries portion was also like a half portion. Korean fried chicken has always been a bit pricey but the portions here are so meager and delivery quality is not good. Disappointing lunch.

Updating my review - it looks like my feedback was taken to heart! The soy garlic wings were noticeably less salty this time and the tenders were perfectly tender and juicy inside. Those drumsticks are big! The leftovers were equally delicious. This time I also got the japchae and pork buns - they really hit the spot. Kimchi and radish were spot on.

I got chicken strips since they were out of the wings.. the strips were inedible .. literally couldn't chew on the strip as there was no real meat in there. It was some refried chicken skin that you cannot chew. Don't bother getting it if you want real food. The plastic fork bent from trying to stick it in the chicken. The staff was nice enough to handle the situation right but I'll never get food from there again.

I started trying Bonchon towards the end of June. Started one night when we went to Pennsylvania with friends, and eventually we came to this location. The staff is friendly and consistent and does our orders correctly. I rarely eat fried chicken, but one day I wanted to try it because my husband talks about how delicious Bonchon is. I always order a Bonchon Chicken wrap, no onions and spicy mayo. It is delicious, the avocado with the fried chicken and crisp lettuce in the wrap is so good. I can't handle spice, and onions I rather spare the taste. My husband enjoys the combo meal with the soy garlic, the vegetables in vinegar mixed and rice are on the side. The portions of the chicken is great. Good service, food, always ready for some Korean Fried Chicken.

Bonchon never disappoints. Had picked up some sushi down the road from Taste of Asian but wanted to complete the meal with some fried chicken. Huge drumsticks and packed with flavor. Comes with radish or coleslaw side. Definitely try the soy garlic and spicy half and half!

Bonchon is one of the best Korean fried chicken joints around. Their chicken is consistently great, whether it's their wings, drumsticks, strips, or boneless wings. Soy garlic is my go to, but the spicy is good as well for those who enjoys the heat. They also offer a lot of other items besides fried chicken, such as Takoyaki, popcorn shrimp, katsu, Tteokbokki, etc. Their chicken is made to order, so make sure to order well ahead of time, like at least 40 minutes.

I have had their soy garlic wings in the past and they are amazing. Just had these bulgogi fries and mind blowing - SO good.

We order from here periodically, and generally enjoy their food, so I've given them 3 nostalgic stars, but this time the strips were a third the size they used to be. They still cost $30 for a 20-piece, of course, but instead of a nice piece of chicken, you get a finger size strip. Also, they seem to not have adjusted the cooking time for this (much) smaller price of meat, so they were dry as dry can be.

Bulgogi Bibimbap, spicy chicken taco, Takoyaki
    Jenny W.

First time trying from Bonchon Chicken. Bulgogi Bibimbap- amazing, beef are cut into small pieces and marinated nicely. I love all the slices of vegetables and eggs and mix everything together with their sauce. Spicy chicken tacos-spicier than I thought but it was still very delicious. The flavor was mix of a little sweet, sour and spicy. It's topped with onions, ranch and spicy mayo. Takoyaki- soft texture with minced and diced octopus pieces. The coleslaw added a bit crunch to it. Comes with 8 pieces. Definitely had a great dinner and will come back again.

Hiya Foodies! I rarely review chains since they are usually not all uniform in food & service. But in my area where Korean restaurants open up almost every week, and with so many choices for their infamous Korean (double) fried chicken, I felt the need to green light this one. (probably 3 stars) I've been to a lot of mom & pop Korean fried chicken joints and this place is very good, with a clean atmosphere. We ordered food to go and everything was delish The fried chicken was done just right. not greasy at all with the right amount of seasoning and cooking time. All pieces were meaty and just so good! Other items that were very good: --Sliders ( 3) -- Bulgogi (marinated ribeye), coleslaw, cucumber, red onions, and spicy mayo, served on a mini potato bun --Tacos--Spicy chicken or marinated ribeye over three flour tortillas. Topped with lettuce, coleslaw, buttermilk ranch, spicy mayo, and red onion. --Fried rice was much better than the usual Chinese jpoint on every corner, Fried rice, eggs, sesame seeds, red bell peppers, and onions, cooked with Soy Garlic sauce and your choice of protein --even the seasoned french fries were on the money!

I was excited to check out this local sports bar in Lodi after seeing all of the positive reviews…read more Honestly, it was a little underwhelming for me. Maybe I just ordered the "wrong things". Either way, my experience didn't live up to the hype. I visited on a late Saturday night. There's a parking lot behind the restaurant. The entrance can be tricky to find... It's located in the back on the left-hand side. The exterior and interior are both pretty dark, dull, and dingy. It's not the most inviting atmosphere at first. It has a divey, industrial, and rustic vibe to it, but hey... sometimes the best food comes from places that don't look like much. So I try not to judge. It wasn't too busy, and the service was attentive. The menu has your classic American comfort food - wings, pizza, burgers, sandwiches, etc. They switch it up with daily specials like skirt steak, chicken parm, and pasta. They have a full bar with cocktails, drafts, bottled beers, can ciders, and wines. You can even do a four-beer flight and make it a tasting experience! I ordered: *Dark & Stormy Cocktail [Goslings Dark Rum, Ginger Beer, Lime Juice] ($14) - Not the best one I've had, but it was solid. If you like ginger and rum, this is a must try. The dark rum has hints of caramel which works really well with the spicy ginger beer. The lime juice adds a citrus kick, so it's a really refreshing drink. *Margarita ($18) - As a tequila girly, I've had my fair share of margaritas. This one didn't do it for me. It was a little too sour/tart, which overpowered everything else. *Cubano Sandwich [includes roast pork, black forest ham, swiss cheese, pickles, mayo, and mustard with side of fries] ($16) - I wasn't expecting an authentic Cubano from an American sports bar, so my expectations weren't super high. This was good, but not great. The pork was flavorful, but could've been more tender. I wish there were more pickles and mayo for that extra tangy crunch. The bread was pressed a little too hard, so it was a bit tough to bite through. *Double Blackened Chicken Breast Sandwich [includes pepper jack cheese, chipotle mayo, red peppers, and red onion on brioche with side of fries] ($18) - This was huge and filling! They did not skimp out on the protein. The brioche bun was soft and buttery. The chicken was well seasoned - smoky and savory with crispy charred edges. BUT... to my disappointment, the inside was dry and not juicy at all. Another small issue was the ratio - There was so much chicken compared to the rest of the toppings, so it wasn't the most cohesive sandwich. It really needed more cheese and chipotle mayo to tie all the flavors together. The fries were the best part - thick, crispy, and golden! It's decent bar food, just not the best I've had. Nothing was bad, but nothing was great or memorable. For the price, I didn't feel it was worth it. I do appreciate that their food is served piping hot and fresh. To be fair, this is probably the perfect spot for beer lovers. I happen to not be one, lol. The burger options sound popular and promising too. I'd consider giving them another shot for Happy Hour or to try a burger, but it's not at the top of my list. Just because it's not the sports bar for me, doesn't mean it won't be the one for you.

Really enjoyed the Peckwich too, which came with juicy bits of fried chicken and what tasted like kimchi coleslaw. This place is the bomb dot com. Every time someone sang its praises, I had to wonder, 'Really? The best fried chicken comes out of THAT space?' Because every time I passed by it, it looked quiet or closed or both. But don't let appearances fool you. It's very, very good. To get straight to it, the wings are the way to go here. I ordered both the wings and the boneless tenders to give this place the old college try, and while the tenders are impressive in size and heft (and I personally like them because I don't have to work around a bone), I found the wings to be far more tender and flavorful. I also found that the tenders were far quicker to lose their fried crunchification. I also tried both the soy garlic and sweet and spicy flavors, and both are incredible. If you put a gun to my head and made me choose one, I'd have to pick the soy garlic, but I love the way these sauces aren't lathered onto each piece. There's just enough brushed on so that you can appreciate both the flavor and the texture of the chicken. The fries here are the wedge type. Think KFC, but fresher and less salty. Also, don't sleep on the pickled veg. I know it sounds nuts to buy pickled veggies from a fried chicken place, but it's a staple for classic Korean fried chicken dinners to cleanse the greasy palate with something acidic. I love the medley of veg they use here, and I loved the pickling juice so much, I actually found myself sipping it between bites (don't judge me). There's a small parking lot on the side of the building that might accommodate three or four cars at most. And that might be by design, because three or four parties is probably the most that could dine in this tiny restaurant. But as many have already shared, the owners here are so sweet and friendly, it's a gift to spend any amount of time with them, even in this teacup-sized dining room. Those who choose to takeout or deliver will be pleased to know that Peck Peck Chicken knows how to to package freshly fried things correctly - that is, with intentionally aerated containers so that you won't lose all that beautiful crisp as the food makes its way home.
