Been wanting to try this Don Chicken location. I am happy with what I ordered. The korean fried chicken wings (soy gralic) were crispy, flavorful and tasted fresh. The place was kinda tiby, I am glad I came here on a Tuesday night. I can just imagine how this place can get really packed on the weekends. The server was attentive. My order came out very quickly. Prices are decent.
Actually the best fried chicken we've ever had. We stumbled in a few weeks ago after a few too many drinks and fell in love. SO crispy, SO flavorful. The crispiness even held up the next day after being in the fridge. We got the garlic soy & the sweet and spicy. We ordered again last night and they were kind enough to stay open for us to pick up our meal. Nicest people and best fried chicken!
I ordered delivery from this spot on Uber Eats so I can't speak to the restaurant itself or the service but the food... was delicious! The bulgogi fried rice was some of the best fried rice I've had in a while. It tasted super fresh and hard a large serving of meat and veggies inside. The large order of sweet and spicy boneless chicken (not spicy, mostly sweet to me) came with a hefty amount of chicken I mean I was able to share it with someone and still have leftovers the next day. The rice dish came with soup which was okay, just basic broth, and the corn dog was fulllll of mozzarella so of course it was delicious. That was also large and shareable. Glad I found this place while scrolling through the options on Uber Eats, definitely want to come try it out in person! My only recommendation to make this place better would be to upgrade the packaging for the boneless wings, some of the sauce came out of the bottom of the box which got my table a bit sticky. Food was still too good to knock off a star for that though!
We came in around 6pm on Tuesday. It's located in a "Korea town" area of New Jersey. This place is pretty small and cramped. We were greeted and asked if it was for take out or dine in. We were told to be seated. The server came over and asked if we wanted drinks. She came back for our order (soy garlic and sweet/spicy drums and snow fries) she also gave us plates, chopsticks, napkins and a disposable glove. Chicken was served freshly made...delicious and spicy! Snow fries....crispy and hot!! Our server checked on us once and brought more water. Definitely not your standard fried chicken. Delicious :) Will definitely be back when in the area.
One of the earlier staples in Pal Park offering Korean fried chicken. This location is long and narrow but has a decent amount of tables for dining in. The service is always fast and friendly. We've dined in a few times but mostly do take away. My go to is their soy garlic, either whole chicken or boneless. Their chicken is also tender and flavorful.
Can't rave enough about this place! Growing up chicken wings have always been my favorite food with buffalo wings being my go to before I discovered Korean fried chicken. I've tried chicken from all of the local places and Don Chicken is by far the best! If you like heat I highly recommend the spicy soy garlic which is my go to flavor. It is hard to describe how perfectly they fry their wings - they are never soggy or too dry, consistently great every time. A 10 piece order of wings is more than enough for one person (and I have a big appetite) - they are generous with their servings and the wings are meaty. The owners are super friendly people and create a clean welcoming environment. Do not hesitate to give this place a try, you will not regret it! My wife loves the fries from here as well and I've included a picture of how large the drumsticks are if you prefer drums to wings (she chose the sweet & spicy flavor for her 5 piece order). I will typically call to place an order for pick up, food is always fresh and ready in 10-15 minutes. Like other Korean places they give you a disposable glove + radish to keep your hands clean and cut down the heat between bites which is a nice touch. Thank you for being the best!! They have an awesome name too :D
Heard a lot of hype on this place and I have to say the chicken was pretty good!! It's a very simple shop with a simple menu but the taste and crispiness of the chicken really hit the spot. There were 5 of us and we ordered 20 combo pieces, soy garlic and spicy soy. And a whole scallion chicken. The scallion chicken was my favorite and really flavorful. I would say most pieces of chicken weren't dry or tough, even the breast. We also got cheese fries, and cheese ddukbokki. Cheese fries were alright, not necessary. The ddukbokki was good and not too spicy. Overall, the menu is inexpensive especially if you're sharing and we were all stuffed with some leftovers.
Literally the best Ddukkboki anywhere in the Palisades Park area. It's soft, chewy and just perfect! Sauce is also SUPER addictive! Chicken is also super crispy and fresh! Even after ordering for delivery. Service of delivery was really quick and swift as well! I think we used a delivery service but the person who delivered was super communicative, respectful, and made sure we got our order right as it was received (despite us saying to leave it by the door and ring the bell). Can't comment on the ambiance as we never actually made it to the restaurant in person, but the food is 10/10 each time we order!
My fiance loves this place and so we stopped by here for takeout during covid and we called ahead and our food was ready in 15 minutes! We ordered the soy garlic combo that had wings and drumsticks which came with a side of radish. The wings were amazing, perfect amount of soy garlic sauce so that it's super tasty but not overbearing. The chicken had a great crispy skin! The drumsticks were a little less flavorful, but still tasty. However, next time, I'll opt for just the soy garlic wings alone! Staff was fast, friendly, and thorough and gave us the usual gloves to eat the wings, like they used to do for indoor dining! They also had the cutest take box which had these flaps on the box to air out the box so that the chicken wouldn't lose its crisp!
Visited on a Thursday afternoon for take out and I ordered the boneless chicken and the snow fries. The order only took around 10 minutes and it didn't seem too busy. I absolutely LOVE the snow fries. Its my favorite thing to order. The chicken is also very good! But this time the boneless soy garlic weren't too saucy. I didn't get to eat the snow fries fresh but regardless they were still delicious! Chicken comes with a side of radish.

Our favorite varieties are the sweet and spicy (saucy) followed by the spicy soy garlic (spicier than the sweet and spicy but crispier) They give you plastic gloves so your hands don't get all sticky
This was our second stop in Palisade Park yesterday. We got a small order of Spicy soy garlic wings and a plain half fried chicken. I'll keep it short and sweet. The chicken was extremely fresh. The wings had the perfect balance of sweet, salty, and spicy. Not overly sauced so they remained crispy outside and juicy meat on the inside. The fried chicken was also crispy and juicy with a nice light heat. I would certainly be back if I'm in the neighborhood. You should too. ENJOY!!!

(Yes, we really wanted to try the chicken here) Food: We brought the soy garlic chicken for takeout, so by the time we opened the box and ate it was a little cold and the chicken lost a bit of crisp. But even then, the wings were rich in flavor, and the skin was extremely tasty. If we had ate them fresh, I think I would have been able to safely say it was the best Korean fried chicken I've had. Service/Environment: It was a small restaurant, hence why we had to go someplace else. The service for takeout was quick and pain free. Price: We got 10 wings for $11, which is a pretty solid deal for the area. Overall: If I'm around the area again, I'll definitely try waiting for a spot at the restaurant in order to experience the wings fresh. Even with the takeout going slightly cold, I can definitely understand the hype of this place.

This is our usual fried chicken spot and it stays consistent every single time. We normally do takeout, but today we dined in and the experience was actually really pleasant -- calm, clean, and easy. The food was amazing. The chicken was perfectly crunchy (the kind that actually stays crunchy), and the flavors were on point. The sweet and spicy sauce was delish -- just the right balance -- and the soy garlic was packed with flavor without being overpowering. The radish was fresh and refreshing, and the shrimp tempura was also really good -- light, crispy, and not greasy. Whether you're grabbing takeout or sitting down, this place knows what it's doing. Very big servings! And yummy flavor options. We chose drumsticks--I wish they were more tender though. I think even if they used smaller pieces actually, the bites would be that much more appetizing. Lots of people were ordering out, so pretty chill/quiet dine-in experience. read more

I came here for a cater order. I ordered two different flavors of the boneless wings. When I places the order, it was advertised for $75, you get 80 pieces of boneless korean wings. Very sweet deal. I placed the order two days in advance for Sunday 11:15am pick up. When I arrived, they were making my order so I had to wait. While waiting, I noticed the change to the catering price. Now for $75, you get 60 boneless wings, not 80. I asked if I will still get 80 and showed her my receipt. She said yes. Even though it's 20 less boneless wings, it's still a good deal. I love they way they packaged the order. One side of the box is one flavor, the other side of the box is another flavor, and in the middle are two cups of radishes. Everyone at my church loved the chicken. The size of the boneless chicken were big and full of flavor. This is definitely my now go-to spot for cater orders. I need to come here a regular meal. While I was waiting, I explored their menu and they had lots of great food choices. The atmosphere inside is pretty chill. Great date spot. read more

Every time I come up to Bergen, this is my go-to chicken place. Out of all the different chicken places that I have tried, I like Don Chicken the most. Their service is very good, the workers are all very friendly and accommodating. I never had an issue with their service from the multiple times I have come here. This time, I ordered 10 crispy wings, 10 sweet and spicy wings, and 10 soy garlic wings. The crispy wings used to be my favorite, but now that I have eaten at this place more, I think the soy garlic is my new favorite. I absolutely love the taste and the texture of the wings here. I didn't get it this time, but I used to always get the cheese ddukbokki. I think the cheese ddukbokki is pretty good and I would definitely recommend it to anyone who hasn't tried it yet. I'm not the best with spicy, but I did not find the ddukbokki to be too spicy. The parking is metered street parking which can be a bit of a hassle, but definitely worth it for these wings. read more

Lovely chicken place in Palisades Park, NJ. Soooooooo many chicken places in Bergen County, and in Palisades Park & Fort Lee, and honestly, I do frequent Yam Yam Chicken more ... (always for pick-up), but when you are hanging out in Palisades Park and not in the mood for typical Korean food, Don Chicken is the next in my preference. So this is my second time coming here and each time i left VERY content and happy. This place is (in my opinion) the best korean fried chicken place in this area (haven't tried pelicana yet). The seating is pretty limited (maybe less than 20 seats total and it's all against the wall-space is pretty narrow) so try and come during the off peak times for lunch and dinner (earlier the better). The staff are very attentive and quick to make sure you get everything you need on a timely matter. My friend and I got the combo (which comes with a mix of wings and drums) soy garlic with a side of their version of cheese fries. The chicken is SOO crunchy and delicious (they give you gloves so you don't have to get your fingers sauced haha) and the fries were like chips-addicting LOL. Definitely recommend getting the wings and fries!! Overall, very content with the meal. Parking is all metered parking (there's a metered parking lot in the back) but they take card so you don't have to carry quarters with you !! read more

Don Chicken has been my favorite chicken place since I found out about it. I think it became popular around five years ago when I was still in high school. Though the staff has obviously changed over the years, I am always met with good hospitality and have yet to have a negative experience eating there. I have gone to eat here with a bunch of friends and I've come with my family as well. No matter what, the chicken is always super delicious and a good bang for the buck. read more

This chicken was pretty good. I ordered the soy garlic chicken and they were tasty. I would definitely order more again. Despite the chicken was covered with a sauce, it was still crunchy and delicious. I will order again! read more

First time I am eating here for lunch and it great. I ordered on the telephone to dine in. Don Chicken had a table prepared with the plastic glove & chopsticks along with napkins. The food was hot & ready to eat. The Service was quick, and the lady attentive. I would go again. read more

Went here once with a friend and will say that I'm not coming back. We normally have Bon Chon Chicken and that is absolutely delicious, but we were in the area so we tried this place. The signs outside showed the soy garlic chicken we normally get at Bon Chon so we went inside to try it out. Not really sure if there was anything I liked about this place. The guy serving us was quite rude, wasn't nice or friendly at all. Sat us down and took a really long time to come back. Mind you, we were the only people there. A little while later, two tables came in so it still wasn't that busy. The prices are pretty high for this place as well. We ended up just getting the 10 piece and figured we'd go eat elsewhere after. We asked for water as well and he didn't bring it to us until awhile later, basically when we got our food. The wait for the chicken didn't matter to us since we know it takes awhile to make. The chicken had so much batter on it and was so greasy it kind of made me sick. This place was nothing compared to Bon Chon or even Boom Boom chicken. I must say the chicken is actually bigger though and still pretty juicy, but just a lot of batter. I only had a few pieces and my friend had the rest. We finished eating, basically cleaned up our own table, and sat there for at least 10 minutes waiting for the guy to come back with our bill. He walked past us and even when we tried to wave him over to us, he either didn't see us or chose not to answer. Finally we got fed up and called him over and just handed our credit card to him. It really took longer than needed to pay the bill. Yes he was the only server but there were literally three tables there, 2 of us and 4 people at the other two tables so I can't even say it was busy. Just really not a good experience here, will stick with the other two places I normally go to. Maybe other people will have a better experience here. read more

Delicious chicken and ddukbokee! Great sized portion, decently priced. The chicken was not oily at all, crispy and just enough batter. I would recommend if they can offer like low to high level of sauce coverage. Wish I had a bit more of that soy garlic! read more

I ordered 10pcs wings and 5 drumsticks, and I've got very overcooked chicken So, I talked to the owner After that, he delivered new one, but The new one is same overcooked and even black color inside.. We cannot eat this.. I'm gonna throw it to trash bin.. It will be my last order.. I'm not gonna order food here For good.. read more
