- Service was excellent: staff is extremely friendly and very helpful; fast and attentive - Cute, clean, cozy joint with decent amount of tables suited for small groups, but tables can be joined together for larger parties - High chairs and boosters are available, but be careful when pushing your toddler in while on a booster--table frame has a rather thick bar running across the bottom of the table top (had to switch her to a high chair instead as her thighs were getting squished) - Interior wall lined with different varieties of ramen noodle packets: it's a "self ramen bar"--didn't try it but assuming you take a packet and cook it yourself at the stations by the microwave - Food was fresh and HOT: chicken drumsticks were saucy, cripsy, juicy and piping hot--be careful with that first bite; pork katsu was also crispy and tender, but the pork itself wasn't flavorful, the sauce had a nice tang, which the kiddos really enjoyed

Original wings

Ordered the original 10 wings with Sweet and Spicy sauce on the side. Idk why I never thought to do sauce on the side to preserve the crispiness lol The wings were crispy, yummy, and not greasy like some other places. The yangyum sauce was also good! I feel like it's hard to find good yangyum sauce, but Don Chicken did it right. The chicken came with pickled radish as well. just be careful that the lids are tightly shut so they don't leak when picking up.

Boneless chicken and soy garlic chicken

Ordered via Uber eats. We decided on the boneless chicken and the soy garlic chicken. Both were very good so no complaints. The soy garlic flavor was on the lighter side so it's different than other Korean fried chicken soy garlic flavor but not bad. We will definitely order from here more often.

Korean fried chicken . First time here and I liked it . I wish they had a 6 or 8 piece lunch :) 11 piece was a little too much .. even with drumsticks they have 5 piece meals . Tried garlic soy chicken and it was good .... taste was awesome . I also got the spicy chicken .. and it was good . They charged 1.50 or 2$ for rice. Wish they include a rice bowl with this ... Parking is too small. They just have parking for 3-4 cars .. Overall we liked it . Good one ... 15$ lunch.

The closest Korean Fried Chicken place near my house that is always delicious. If you live in Bergen County towards Route 17, there is no need to go all the way to Fort Lee/Palisades Park to satisfy your Korean fried chicken craving. The wings have a sweeter flavor compared to typical southern style chicken but if you get the spiciest option; make sure to have water ready. I recommend trying the snowing cheese french fries too while you are there.

Soy Garlic Chicken, Sweet & Spicy Chicken, Fried Pork Dumplings (6 Pcs), Ppurings Chicken

food is really good and the service was very fast and friendly! sweet and spicy was my favorite flavor for the wings. not overly priced. will definitely be a new regular spot for me!

When it comes to Korean fried chicken, the competition is fierce in Bergen County. There's no shortage of options from Bonchon to Pelicana to Boom Boom. Don Chicken is the latest challenger and unfortunately, doesn't quite reach the level of the upper echelon establishments. I tried the soy garlic, snowing cheese, and sweet & spicy wings. I also got snowing cheese fries and onion rings on the side. The chicken wasn't bad, but didn't really stand out either. The flavors were familiar and the taste was fine, but didn't quite have the oomph to set it apart from other KFC joints. The fries and onions rings were below average. Overall, I don't think Don Chicken is bad. I just don't think it offers anything that would entice me away from the Bonchon's and Pelicana's.

Bburings wings 9. Sweet and Spicy Sauce Chicken Wings

Good korean fried chicken. I think the best in the area. Service is always pretty quick and they have really juicy, crispy chicken. Sometimes they run out of certain things on the menu when you order late though. My favorite is either the plain crispy chicken or bburings (sweet, salty korean dry rub). The saucy chickens always get a little too saucy/wet for my taste. Warning! The spicy is pretty spicy. Can't really go wrong whether you get the wings, drumsticks, or whole chicken at this spot.

I was really in the mood for (k)orean (f)ried (c)hicken, but unfortunately my go to spot is closed during the covid crisis. I saw the really good reviews and decided to order a 10pc soy garlic, 10pc sweet & spicy, & cheese snowing fries. They don't offer smaller portions so I had no choice but to order 10pc each. My favorite flavor from any (kfc) joint is the soy garlic, but the soy garlic flavor from Don Chicken was completely lacking. It seems like they're cheap with the sauce & drizzle it on like syrup. The sweet & spicy flavor was too sweet for my liking. It tastes like a sauce from something you would get at the chinese spot. What I don't get is is that why are the sweet & spicy wings covered in the sauce, but the soy garlic isn't? I've never had snowing cheese so I didn't know what to expect, but I thought it was going to be on the salty/tangy side. Instead it was sweet-ish. The only thing I enjoyed was the radish that it comes with. Don't get me wrong, the crispness of the chicken was on point, but the flavors just didn't hit the spot. I literally had to throw a lot food out which I don't like doing. I would not come back here. P.S- They have a tiny parking lot in front of the store. There are like 4 spaces, but I believe you can park on the street.

Spicy Soy Garlic Chicken Wings (spicy it is) and Sweet and Spicy Sauce Chicken Wings

I last reviewed another Korean fried chicken wing spot to see the difference between the two. Must I say, holy chicken, these were gooood. The batter on the wings at Don Chicken was especially nice and light. I didn't feel gross after eating them at all, instead I was floating on cloud 9. Wings ordered as follows; - spicy garlic soy - hot and spicy - sweet and spicy - original The cabbage slaw that is served with the wings is a great side to have. Interior: Don Chicken is fairly new to the neighborhood. It has great lighting and is fairly clean. You also have the option to order out to enjoy the deliciousness on your couch! Tips: Don Chicken is BYOB! Such a plus!!

I seen great reviews about this place and I wanted to check it out while I was in the area. First time having this chicken and it was crispy like the others said. I had the soy garlic and sweet spicy and man I agree with the other yelpers who made a review about it. Price was great and the chicken was worth every penny I'm not over exaggerating neither. I know good chicken and I know the smell of good chicken but the taste isn't something I can explain to you. Go go go and try it out yourself. Won't regret it. Crispy , nice and hot , well packaged. They also give you gloves to eat with so that you don't mess up your hands but see I was hungry and I didn't have time to go through the bag. I had to burn my upper lip lol next time I'll let cool down but not to much bc you must eat while in the middle of hot and warm to taste the great crisp. They also did a great job from not letting the wings touch just incase people don't like when they wings touch. I'll definitely be going back again soon I want to try the other wings but make sure you get the fan favorite ( soy garlic ( barely taste the garlic & the sweet and spicy ) you'll enjoy it !

In addition to food, they offer drinks like sparkling ade, coffee, tea, smoothies, and K-yogurt. I was really excited to try their toasts and kimbap, so I stopped by on a Saturday afternoon. It's located on a corner with plenty of street parking in the area. It's a casual atmosphere with a modern and minimalistic interior design. There's seating for small and large groups. The menu items are reasonably priced and budget-friendly. I ordered the Korean Street Toast ($7.99) and Kimchi Tuna Kimbap ($7 for 10 pieces). Service was on the slower end... although the employees were friendly, it took around 20+ minutes to get my food. I appreciated that everything was freshly prepared, but I recommend ordering ahead if you're short on time. The K-Street toast included a vegetable omelette (cabbage, carrots, green onions, corn), shredded cabbage/carrots, smoked ham, and cheese. You have the option of having it sweet or unsweet. The sweetened version has a light sugar coating over the toast. I went with that and I HAVE NO REGRETS - the bread was soft and buttery with a crispy exterior. The sandwich had the perfect blend of different flavors and textures - crunchy, creamy, savory, sweet. The portion size was filling for a light meal. The kimbap roll included kimchi, tuna, radish, carrot, spinach, burdock, and seasoned rice wrapped in dried seaweed. The ingredients are most definitely fresh and their flavors blended really well together - you can tell after just one bite! I recommend this roll if you like tuna salad. Can't wait to try more of the menu!

The establishment has a very calm atmosphere, with a clean modern ambiance perfect for casual dining. Ambiance rate 7/10. To start off, they give an array of bottomless Korean side dishes like fish cake, kimchi, and radish which I enjoyed. My friend and I ordered... 1. Seafood Pancake: This appetizer was incredibly delicious! The variety of seafood incorporated into this soft Asian style savory pancake made it very flavorful! Rate 9/10. 2. Beef Tofu Stew: This had beef, kalguksu, and tofu at a regular spice level. This dish was average, nothing special. I enjoyed the tender beef. This dish tastes very heavy of tofu, even from a sip of the stew. Therefore, if you're a big fan of tofu, this dish is for you! Rate 6/10. 3. Pork Bulgogi Bento Box: I was satisfied with this box due to all the different kinds of foods included in it, such as miso soup, pork bulgogi, tempuras, japchae, salad, and rice. Overall, it was delicious and filling! However, the pork bulgogi wasn't too flavorful, or that spicy like advertised, and it was really oily. Rate 7/10. The service was very quick, and although our waiter was helpful, he didn't seem that friendly. For example, if I asked for more napkins, he would seem annoyed. Service/staff rate 5/10. Overall, this place is a nice spot to enjoy casual Korean food. However, I wouldn't come back here again because of the mediocrity of the dishes, and limited menu selection.

But look around - there's not a white tablecloth in sight. You may have to catch someone's eye, and there's nothing wrong with that. By 6:15 pm, half of our order was on the table, and we were gleefully chomping on fried dumplings and pillowy buns. The small but clean and modern space was packed - packed with people, but also with so much happiness. Almost everyone was smiling, laughing, and joking as they tucked into this feel-good array of comfort classics. Jajangmyun, jjampong, khan poong, gochu japchae... all of these traditional dishes sang. Even a simple plate of sauteed vegetables was delicious. And everything spent just seconds between being finished in the kitchen and sitting in front of us. Is it cheap? No, nor should it be. The ingredients are of the freshest, including the seafood. It was just the right temperature and it was salty and savory enough without being overwhelming. We went on a particularly cold day so the hot soup really hit the spot. The pieces of beef in the soup were super tender too. Continuing the self-service theme there was a water dispenser and there was even a dispenser of broth at the pick up counter.
