I tried the half and half of wings. I got soy garlic and the korean yangnyum sauce and took it home. It was still so crispy and a lot better than i thought it would be. It didn't reheat all that well though This is located inside the hmart food court. read more

- Vendor is located inside the Little Ferry HMart food court and offers fried chicken in a small variety of flavors: you choose your preferred chicken part, quantity, and flavor - Interactions with the staff were minimal, but service was cordial; the wait for the food was a bit longer than expected - The soy garlic wings had plenty of flavor and were generously covered with bits of minced garlic; however, the wing pieces were quite small, and the chicken wasn't as crispy as I would have hoped read more

THE FOOD ---------------- = Half Box Soy Garlic Wings - Verrrrrrry garlicky flavor, BUT all of the wings were mini wings. Where are the big pieces of chicken????? It definitely would have been better if they were "normal" size pieces of fried chicken. + Menu was very simple and broken down into 3 steps for orderings - choose a part (wings, whole, boneless), choose a size (full box, half box, party platter) and choose a flavor. That's it. THE SERVICE ------------------- + Didn't have much interaction with the elderly Korean woman working the register, but whatever interaction we did have was pleasant. = Half box fried chicken took about 15-20 minutes to prep and cook, which surprised me a little. THE SURROUNDINGS ------------------------------- + PLENTY of tables and chairs in the H Mart Market Eatery as Daegu is one of several food vendors inside. RANDOM OBSERVATIONS -------------------------------------- = Passed by Daegu several times whiling dining at H Mart Market Eatery in the past, but Daegu doesn't tend to be as busy as the other vendors, however, nevertheless still good. read more

If you're a fan of Korean fried chicken, Daegu Chicken is a must-visit spot. They have some of the crispiest, most flavorful fried chicken. nails it with its signature crispy, double-fried chicken that comes with just the right amount of crunch. The flavors are bold, and you can really taste the difference in the quality of the chicken. Whether you go for the classic original, the tangy sweet and spicy, or the mouthwatering soy garlic flavor, each bite is packed with flavor. I LOVE THE RED Dragon . read more

Daegu Chicken - Chicken Wings Near Me - Little Ferry, New Jersey

Little Korean fried chicken spot in the Little Ferry H Mart. They take about 20min for an order so call ahead (and make sure you call the right spot, one guy came in and realized he called the wrong shop). Half and full boxes (half is 10wings). Multiple flavors. You can get wings, boneless thighs (cooks faster) or mixed (big cuts of whole chicken). I had the soy garlic which was heavy on the fresh garlic chunks, that pungent and sharp flavor. The sauce was rather runeven though. Had two drums which had nearly no sauce. Hot, juicy and crispy overall though. At the bag bottom they had the white diakon pickles. Needs more napkins though! Which not as balanced of a sauce as another place, still a pretty solid snack. Will try other flavors like the sweet and spicy next time. read more

Do go to Daegu! If you love korean fried chicken as I do, Daegu is a must try. Daegu, the 4th largest city of South Korea, is also known as the "Chicken Mekka" of the world. This is the 2nd location of Daegu chicken and located in the food hall of H-mart. The food hall provides dining tables to share by all the eateries and shoppers. Plenty of parking available. I ordered the soy garlic wings and the jalapeño poppers. My order came out piping hot and fresh. The wings were super plump and flavorful. The skin was crispy and flavorful. A piece of skin was hanging off the wing and that fried chicken skin was oh so good! They should start selling korean fried chicken skin. The jalapeño poppers oozed with cream sitting in a crisp jalapeño boat. Everything was made to order with a 15 minute wait. The wait was not bad because there was plenty of dessert browsing to do in the food hall. They couldn't break a large bill so I had to scramble looking for change. They did not have any napkins in stock but did try very hard to find some for me. For a 1/2 order, 10 wings, you could only choose 1 sauce flavor. Out of 10 wings, 7 were round and 3 were flat. Despite the flukes, i will definitely return for more wings! read more

An express journey to the flavors of Daegu via Little Ferry? Restaurants like Daegu have raised the standard of what one can expect from the different ways of preparing fried chicken from various locals around the world. The crispy pieces of fowl arrived in various sizes(including a mini drumstick(see photos)), hot and not overly greasy. Wait was approximately ten minutes. The half box(nine pieces) of Daegu soy sauce garlic(their most popular flavor) was neither overly juicy or dry. Asked about splitting the order into two flavors but was denied. Pickled radish served as a nice palate cleanser between each piece. Dined in on a slow night and therefore seating was readily available. At fifteen dollars, this is comparable to the other popular Korean fried chicken joints and felt the value for the portion was fair. Did this meal take me on a culinary journey to Daegu in South Korea? Probably not, but it was enjoyable enough to warrant planning a future visit. read more

This Korean fried chicken spot is tucked into the corner of the Little Ferry H-Mart. It is a great spot to get some yummy-tasting fried chicken with various flavors and different snacks. You start by choosing which part of the chicken you would like either wings, mixed, or boneless thighs. You pick how big of a size you want either full box, half box, or party platter. The half box is a pretty good serving for one person and full box for two. After that, you choose your sauces with 6 different to pick from. If I recall correctly you can pick up to two different sauces for an order. I have tried the sweet and spicy, soy garlic, garlic, and red dragon. They are all good in their own way. Sweet and spicy and soy garlic are your classic flavors and they do a great job. Their shining star for me is the red dragon. It is a nice hot and sweet flavor with rice cakes to mix up the texture. I pretty much only get red dragon whenever I go here now because it is just that good! I also have to highly recommend the waffle fries if you want a sweet and salty experience. It features waffle fries with powdered sugar and honey drizzled on top. You dip it into a nice sweet mustard for some great and interesting flavors! One important note is that it can take time to prepare the order. I would recommend calling ahead or place your order and shop around the various parts of H-mart. This place is great! read more

I was quite disappointed of their taste because it's not tasty enough. Probably not enough sauce or sauce just isn't flavorful. The quality of the chicken was juicy enough too. I have tried other Korean chicken wings before, this one just not good enough for me to return. Only thing good is the cashier girl was nice and friendly. read more

Daegu Chicken - Chicken Wings Near Me - Little Ferry, New Jersey

My family and I were supremely disappointed with our order from the Little Ferry Daegu Chicken. Our experience matches exactly what the other poor Yelp reviews have said in that this restaurant is boxing up and selling what are, essentially, battered and deep fried chicken bones. The only way that I can describe it is that it's some sort of cost cutting, cash grab where a "piece" of chicken is actually 90% bone with a tiny piece of dried out white meat attached to it. The best part is that they even try to market it as an order of "mixed chicken" which, to me, feels like it's bordering on fraud. And finally, to add insult to injury, they're charging OUTRAGEOUS prices! We paid for $50 worth of chicken and basically got 2 boxes of someone else's leftovers. Never again. read more

Daegu Chicken - These types of "pieces" composed a good portion of the boxes. We were actually excited because the boxes felt heavy when we picked them up. - Chicken Wings Near Me - Little Ferry, New Jersey

Yummy Korean fried chicken is definitely getting more attention which is well deserved. If you've never tried any style of the heavenly double-fried, crispy, juicy chicken wings, Daegu Chicken is a great place to be a beginner, especially at this new location. When a place is small and specializes in making chicken and can't mess around with unimportant menu items a larger place may have. They have a nice selection of 7 different flavors and a couple of sides to accompany them. They have an option to choose half and half and so I got Original Crispy and Honey wings with their thin waffle fries. Both flavors were very good, and I shared thinking I had too much and was sad to do so an hour later because I'm craving it again! read more

This restaurant is now located in the Hmart food court. The food was amazing, the batter was light, fluffy, and crunchy. It hit all the notes. This was one of those situations where the food tasted the way you hoped it would when you saw that the food looked good. The style of batter is more "old school," and the chicken is fried fresh upon ordering. I'm personally of the opinion that as long as the food is good, who cares about the rest, but the food court area is pretty standard, and the staff person was quite friendly as well. read more

MAN you don't know how excited i was when i know that there is a korean fried chicken place inside Hmart!! And this place does not disappoint!!!! To order is simple: you pick what kind of chicken you want (wings, boneless thigh, or whole chicken), how many you wan (full order or 1/2 order) and sauce.. wait around for 15 minute or so, and you will have your fresh delicious fried chicken... I personally love the soy favor... it's a little sweet and not salty, very flavorful!!! I also tried they soy garlic which you will see actual minced garlic pieces... if you are a garlic lover, you will love it... the sweet and spicy is sweet with a little kick.. not too bad, and the red dragon... it's SPICY!!! but it's sooo good too... haven't tried the honey flavor... maybe next time i will try!! They also have fries, onion rings, mozzarella sticks and jalapeño poppers... For FULL order, you can pick 2 flavors!! Price is decent. Service is pretty fast (well i usually go around 11:30am so there's no one in line) and there's sitting area next to the booth (since it's located inside the food court) and table are pretty clean.. definitely be back for more... at least once every month... :) read more

This place used to be good... but I'm not returning after tonight.. just like some yelper reviewed they give us some half bitten chicken pieces... Not coming back. Like you literally see the bones, like where did the meat go??? And they gave us a few pieces of these, we ordered 10 pcs order and prob only 5 is okay to eat. Rip off ! read more

came here the other day & i was pleasantly surprised. i got the soy garlic but i also wanted to try the sweet&spicy sauce so they gave me the sauce on the side to try (best decision ever!). the sweet&spicy is honestly my favorite and it reminds me of the wings i had in korea - could not stop eating it despite my body saying it was full hahaha. they give a side of radish which is nice and refreshing (pairs nice with the crispy chicken). only thing is, when you order in person, you have to wait 15-25 minutes since they make the chicken fresh. definitely 10 wings was filling enough for me, and for $15 it's a steal! definitely recommend read more

Idk why there are so many bad reviews that have nothing to do with the flavor and taste of the food. The chicken here is really really good and right up there with their competitors. I love their soy garlic and ultra spicy flavor (because its actually spicy). Ive never had a problem with service. I suggest you order in advance so its ready by the time you arrive. My order has always been ready within 20 minutes, maybe 30 if they're busy which is reasonable. Highly recommend!!! read more

I was excited to try another Korean fried chix as we always are ordering from BonChon. I placed my order of boneless thighs and wings 16 piece for $24 with tax. Took 20mins to prepare. When I picked up my bag, I had one small pickled radish and about 4 napkins with 2 forks wrapped in a rubber band. I had to ask for more napkins. Got home to find out I received something that was like a whole chicken cut up and prepared. I never ordered chicken breast, I got lots of pieces that were dried out breast meat. The 2 wings were tiny and none of the thighs were boneless. I can't even say the ginger soy glaze was ok, a little on the salty side. The crispness was decent and that's about it. I wish we had a bit more radish for a big box of chicken but but the end of the world. I know I won't be back here to order again. For consistency, taste and size of pieces, I'll def be back to BonChon. read more

Garbage doesn't describe how crappy this chicken is. It's flavorless and it's like they just dipped tiny pieces of dark meat into flour and called it "Korean" chicken. Don't ask for more radish they'll try to justify the 10 tiny pieces they give you otherwise they need to charge you for more. C'mon don't nickle and dime me, your cost is 5 cents. Seriously ridiculous the amount you get for how much they charge. Go somewhere else. You'll feel less ripped off. Check out pics I added what Don's radish serving looks like. read more

The meal was great, chicken 10 wing box was tasty and the fries were okay, obviously frozen fries that were fried. What made this a 1 star was the fact that the cashier/cook took my order, finished my order and left it out front without saying a word. I stood in front to ask about my order (most Korean fried chicken places take 20-30 min per order) but he ignored me to take care of other Korean patrons not once but twice. He could've just given me my order but i stood there like an idiot for 10 minutes while my food got cold 5 feet away from me. I looked over towards the done order and noticed mine was there. I grabbed my food and ate. Usually this would be a whatever transaction and I'd tell myself "whatever, money lost but at least i can rely on peck peck to come through" but you know the salt in the wounds? Going to the table directly next to us and asking the Korean man next to us what his order number to confirm since his order was done. Thanks guys, really made sure i never come back. read more

Ordered a box-a half of original crispy and a half of sweet and spicy boneless. The pieces are small like a popcorn chicken, but it's crispy on the outside and soft inside. I definitely recommend this for a take out. Perfect match with a soda or a beer. read more

The chicken was tasty and the wing sizes were pretty good and about the same size as Boom Boom So why the 2 stars? 2 things bothered me the most and one has to do with their business practice and another with "false advertising" What's up with the business practice you say? Well when I inquired about what "mixed" entails, they said other parts of the chicken so to me I'm thinking thigh and breast pieces right? Half right or maybe even quarter right - let me explain. You don't go to Popeyes or KFC and your chicken breast that is cut up into 4 pieces, counts as 1 piece each right? Well that's what they do here. So even though a mixed full box is 22 pieces of wings and "other parts of the chicken", you may really only have 15 edible pieces. Some parts are fried and mainly bones - no meat due to how they cut them. Really? Adding insult to injury, maybe it's me but if I order waffle fries, I'm expecting something like chik-fil-a waffle fries. Nope - they give you basically kettle cooked chips that look like waffle fries. Needless to say, I'm not coming back and you can be sure I'll be eating at the other restaurants. read more

We ordered the party platter for my daughters birthday and it was a hit, so delicious and not even that expensive. My husband and I ordered half a box of mix chicken soy garlic flavor and waffle fries. The "waffle fries" were not actual fries. They were potato chips topped off with sweet powdered cheese. The box of mixed chicken were mostly fried bones dipped in batter. There was hardly any meat. The part that does have some what meat was very dry. The flavor was more on the bland side. Both orders were a total disappointment! You're better off buying from Bonchon for more quantity in a box and better flavored and moist chicken. read more

Called ahead to order and was told to pick up in 20 minutes. Arrived to pick up 23 minutes later. The cook told me that I needed to wait longer and asked me to sit at a nearby table. Waited another 20 minutes before asking about my order. Order was waiting at the counter for the last ~10 minutes. This happened because the cashier was away when I talked to the cook. Mistakes happen, no big deal. However, the way the cashier handled the situation was unacceptable. Blamed me; 'your fault.' How about just saying sorry or offering to replace the cold food?
