We decided to go out of our way and give them a try, based on some old Yelp photos of their pan fried dumplings and how good it looked in the photos. I constantly subject myself to new, lower-end establishments in hopes of finding gems here and there, but I should have known better with this one. This restaurant is very typical of any Chinese fast food restaurant and they serve most of the usuals here - I'm hoping the "usuals" of Chinese fast food need no introduction what so ever. In addition, there are your lunch specials as well, which are served daily from 11AM - 3PM. We ended up ordering the Pan Fried Pork Dumplings and a Chicken with Garlic Sauce Lunch Special with Pork Fried Rice and Wonton Soup for takeout. First, before I dive into the flavors, it was very disappointing to find out that the Pan Fried Pork Dumplings only came with 6 pieces. 6 pieces for $8!?!? What has this world come to that a bootleg pan fried pork dumpling is $1.33 each!?!? As for the food, meh. The pork dumplings were rather very average. It wasn't great, but it wasn't the worst pork dumpling I've ever had. As for the Chicken with Garlic Sauce - another meh. I've definitely had better when it comes to this type of a lunch special. The taste of it all was just a bit off and not as good as other Americanized Chinese fast food we've had at other places. It was worth a try to see if they served better pan fried dumplings than our favorite Chinese fast food restaurant, but the answer was a clear NO. As for the other food, it wasn't much better either.

Probably the best I've had in the surrounding area. The reason I checked this place out to begin with was due to the pictures of the boneless fried chicken I saw on Yelp reviews. This dish did not disappoint. They give a ton of chicken and exterior is very crispy. They definitely flatten the heck out of the chicken so the chicken is very very minimal and thin, but still a great dish nonetheless. I'm not a fan of the sauce it comes with, but I just use condiments I have at home instead. I've tried other entrees here as well and they're not bad. The flavors are great for most dishes, but they're a little skimpy on the meat quantity. Overall a solid place with fair prices and my go-to Chinese takeout!

Ordered via their online app, which was easy enough. Thought the prices were quite reasonable. Also liked some of the custom items they offered (add egg to the rice, extra proteins in the dishes---yes others offer this as part of the special request, but here you know how much of an upcharge you're going to be tagged, and again very reasonable.) Put in the order and received a call back within 5 mins 1. making sure everything was right and 2. giving the option (one of the chicken dishes requested extra chicken) did we want extra white or dark and also let us know that if we were interested they could mix beef, pork or shrimp if we wanted. Order arrived within 20 minutes and we were extremely pleased. Our barometer is that my son-in-law's family owned a very successful Chinese take out place in his home town, so he's very discerning. He wants this to be "our place" from now on, because outside of a sit-in restaurant with locations in Montclair and Denville, this was the first take out reminiscent of his family's food. We get a little concerned when ordering later in the day, because some dishes can taste a little 'burned'....not so here. Egg rolls were hot, crunchy and delicious. Steamed dumplings were not super doughy and also delicious. General Tso's chicken and Sweet and Sour pork portions were plentiful and a good value. The sauces were 'just right'. Shrimp Lo Mein was almost 'buttery' (see above about burned-tasting food...not here) ... would have been very easy to shovel it in and deal with the carb coma :) Even my simple steamed shrimp and broccoli was delicious. The shrimp were large and not over- or undercooked and very fresh. The brown sauce on the side wasn't overpowering with garlic or over-salted (again, everything here was very well balanced and tasty). We will certainly be back!
