Don't think there are any great Chinese takeout places in Passaic unfortunately. I received a menu in my mailbox from here and was hoping that it would be my new go to. Their prices are very reasonable and cheaper than most places, so thought I'd give it a try last night. They have a 3 in 1 combo for ~$8-$9. It comes with two choices of entrees and rice with either a soda or egg roll. I got the Sesame chicken and boneless ribs with fried rice. Also ordered the cheese wonton. Total came out to $12.45, awesome! The food came quickly and the delivery guy was nice. However, the food was so incredibly bland... even with the sauce, the boneless ribs had no flavor. Sesame chicken was okay, and I ended up having to put a few packs of duck sauce on the rice. I did like the cheese wonton though. With prices so low, I think I'd give this place another try soon and order something else. read more

Absolutely infuriated. I've never had this done to me before. I have been a customer of the No.1 Kitchen for over a year now. Food is great but today they have lost my trust. The delivery driver took it upon himself to tip himself $2.00 on my card after I gave him a cash tip. I was alerted that my account was charged and I saw the $2.00 transaction from No.1 Kitchen. Usually I scratch out the tip section when I give cash but because I had my infant son in my hands I didn't think to scratch it out. I feel absolutely violated and disgusted with this delivery drivers actions. I understand it's only $2.00 but it's a matter of principle and trust. Very disappointed. I called the No.1 Kitchen and explained what happened. The girl on the phone said she voided the $2.00 but there was no apology, no remorse and no "hey we will look further into this situation." Please BE AWARE when you order from here and use your credit/debit card. The driver I usually have is a tall thin man who rides a bike and is very sweet. This particular driver drives a grey four door car, he's stocky and speaks clear English. If you have him as a delivery driver be sure to scratch out the tip space if you decide to tip in cash. At the end of the day it's a matter of principle and the fact trust was broken between this establishment and consumer. So frustrating. read more

Here I am DO NOT I MEAN DO NOT ORDER FOOD FROM #1 kitchen Chinese food my coworker ordered food from there and he found some steel wool in his food so we called them back they came tried to give him $2.00 and took the metal I told him to take a pic b4 they got here but he didn't no one ate their food so putting it out there... Plus someone else said that's why they stopped ordering from there becuz he found hair in his food b4... My total was 21.30 when I asked he said 22.00 so I gave him 40. He said oh I don't have change give me 40 and come pick up change at the store.. I was like hmm no how about I give you 20 and next time I give you the 2 he was like what about my tip I said I ordered at 11 and it's 1220 my lunch break basically over he left came back like 3 mins later opened his wallet and he had change I gave him the 2 from a coworker he got upset I didn't give him a tip that was b4 we found metal/steel wool in the food read more

What a disaster! My phone order was screwed up royally and what we did receive came 2 hours after we called. We called back to complain but they took the phone off the hook since we just got a busy signal! A Chinese restaurant with a busy signal?! Okay, I was talked into trying them again. If I could give the place a zero I would. Man who works there is extremely rude. I ordered my food throughout grub hub to pick up in front of the restaurant and paid 2 dollars for delivery. My order was 30 dollars and their menu states "free can soda 12 and over". He didn't wanna give me it. I've ordered from here many times and haven't had this issue.
