I live by this restaurant so I have ordered from them plenty of times. I can't complain about the food it's not that bad but the freaking service is HORRIBLE! Who ever the girl over the phone is that placeses orders always forgets to include some part of the order. She'll confirm it over the phone but when I receive it something is always missing so when I call they say "it's not on the receipt I didn't charge you" yes lady I'm not calling about the money I'm calling because I placed an order that was confirmed but not fully delivered. I drove past this place for about a year before we decided to try and we were pleasantly surprised. Fast, fresh, and reasonably priced. From the outside it doesn't seem to have much curb appeal but the food is excellent. We've order at least 5 times and had it delivered. The food has always been fresh and the delivery consistently within the 30 minute window. One order came in what seemed to be way less. The driver forgot our miso soup once and it was picked up and brought back to us within 5 minutes no questions asked. They serve both Chinese and Sushi. We've ordered the Party Tray with 10 rolls and it's a nice size portion. (See posted pic). We also tried the edamame, miso soup, steamed dumplings, seaweed salad, and green salad. All of which were nice size portion especially the green salad. The miso soup had a lot of tofu and seaweed not just the typical overflow or broth and a drop of ingredients. Quality Chef escaped me for so long since I felt no one around here was talking about it and I already did have a reliable Chinese restaurant which I have reviewed a few years back and still think is awesome. I have been going to quality chef now for 2 years, at first as an alternate when I wanted to change things up, but then started realizing they were consistently hitting all my marks for a good Chinese takeout... fast, quality, pride of business, fresh, generous, proper textures, tasty, and never a complaint or disappointment. As a sushi lover I was hesitant to order the sushi at first since it looked like such a small operation with usually one chef operating the sushi counter. I kept telling myself next time, but it was too close to home, it couldn't be that good right? Then after realizing the quality of the Chinese dishes were so good time and time again I said I'm going for it. Well to my surprise my rolls were made quick and tasted like what you would expect from a place with a long standing good reputation for sushi. They run their kitchen like an old school NYC Chinese takeout like I used to see back in Brooklyn when it had soul before it became hipster gentrified. Now I have a reliable and convenient Chinese and Sushi spot right here in Belleville! Do not get the chicken wings! The chicken wings looked more like tiny frog legs. I have been ordering these same wings for years now and they have never looked like this. I called to get a refund or an exchange and the lady on the phone was very rude and I could here them laughing in the background. Seemed like they belonged to another animal, not a chicken. Finally when they brought me a new order of wings you could see the difference. Between two normal wings and whatever junk parts they put in to complete the order. I've ordered from here many times and always seem to have an issue that they never want to help correct. I kept trying to give this place a shot because they make great rolls but today was the last straw. The first couple of times they delivered incorrect sushi rolls to my home and the only way they offered to fix it is if I went into their restaurant with my food they would change it. Okay sure I understand stand that, but today I found a BUG ALIVE in my sushi!!!!! Absolutely disgusted I called back with hopes they would bring me a new order. Of course I was let down when they told me to save the food and bring it in the next day to be replaced the next day because they were closing soon. Mind you, this is my dinner so basically I have to go the rest of the night without eating because they couldn't bother to bring me a new order. I am so disappointed that I keep wasting my money on this place. The least they could do was offer a refund but of course, they didn't.
