Ordered on UberEats for self pick up. Food was beautifully packaged and ready on time. Good ambiance: clean, cozy, with a Christmas tree, wooden floor. Quick pick up. Crunchy chicken wings are great, but their half / half is also innovative (you can combine any 2 flavors you like). Very nice bao and japchae; for the side, I like their pickled radish. Seasoned fries are nice; the seasoning is actually parmesan cheese.

Went back 8-24-26 to Treat my mom for Lunch . The waiter was cool and accommodating it was more people dining in but he handled everyone's table well. Ambiance was a little more lively as business meetings were taking place. The Food!! we ordered wings , cucumber salad and street corn!. I got half my wings naked just to see how it was unsauced the chicken meat itself before frying needs some seasoning to bring it to life! You have this great crunch then bland meat. The street corn wasn't good but the cucumber salad hits every time!! .... Overall the sauce makes the chicken, the customer service is always pleasant and the manager. Always a cleaned from top to bottom establishment and it's cool to watch the birds and ppl from the window!! will return for a Margarita Night one of these days!

My Brazilian in-laws love fried chicken so I felt obligated to show them what Bonchon is all about. We pulled up for their happy hour special with one dollar wings and a very cheap lychee soju Martini and Japanese beer. I know it was happy, but I didn't think prices like that existed anymore, even for Monday night wings. I'd say the soy garlic was our favorite sauce, but you know with Korean fried chicken the focus is really on that crunch! That almost fish and chips like texture with the umami touch and a hint of sweetness... needless to say they were all very impressed and we had to order second rounds. The pork belly valve one was also a great price for a great size. This was nothing but value.

I love this place. It's my go to spot for Korean Fried Chicken. Alot of folks would say there's better Korean fried chicken places around but to me, this place is it. The food is good and they have a variety of dishes besides just fried chicken. I normally go for the spicy but you can get half and half or just soy garlic. They have a nice ambiance for seating indoor and there's plenty of seating and bar seats as well. The staff are very friendly and welcoming and the service is great! Food comes out in a relatively quick manner even when there are many to go orders.

Fried rice with chicken

I live nearby and have been meaning to check out Bonchon for a while! It's very relaxed dining with a QR code with the menu and you place your food order online. I'm honestly not sure why they can't have the staff come to your table for your order, but the staff were all very friendly. I ordered the chicken Katsu, which I thought was really delicious but could've come with another side besides coleslaw. Thought that was kind of a strange side option. But the chicken was perfectly crispy! We weren't as impressed by the chicken fried rice, the chicken wasn't as flavorful and more of a rubbery texture. I think the cucumber on the side was a little odd too. But overall we had a good experience and it's very clean inside, I'll likely return when it's warmer out and I can sit outside!

The inside is never really busy. But the food is good. Highly recommend the bulgogi fries and their bao buns. I also tried the Korean corn and it was yummy but very cheesy. This is a great place to pick up food from or eat inside but be prepared for it to be kinda empty

Not the best but not bad. Certainly not authentic. If you go, there's a free parking garage right behind the restaurant which helps. Staff are friendly and wait time for food is minimal. You'll most likely order and pay from your phone, although I prefer actual menus. Prices are a little more than I care for but somewhat reasonable. The setting is fair. Clean tables and comfortable seats. I opted for a fusion dish, the bulgogi fries. Size was appropriate and flavors were decent. My wife had the japchae. Again, food is not very authentic but fair.

Bonchon has completely redefined what it means to dine out! From the moment you walk in, you're greeted with an innovative, streamlined ordering system that makes everything quick, easy, and surprisingly fun. No waiting around--just tap, order, and relax while the magic happens. Now the food... absolutely next level. Every bite bursts with authentic Korean flavor--from their signature double-fried chicken to the perfectly seasoned sides. You can taste the freshness and love in every dish. But whatever you do, don't skip dessert. Their freshly baked Korean donuts are hands down the best way to end a meal--crispy on the outside, warm and pillowy on the inside, with a sweet finish that dreams are made of. Run, don't walk. Bonchon is the real deal!

Very dry chicken

Very disappointed in the service for pick up order and the quality of the chicken. Went to go pick up an online order and the staff was rude and slow. One of the workers told me to go to the right to pick up the order, but no one was there, no cashier, no pick up person. Got 8 pieces of chicken strips half soy garlic and half Korean bbq. The chicken was very very dry as if it had been fried already and they just packed it into the take out box. Usually Bonchon chicken takes much longer for their order to be fried. Something seems off that the order was ready in 15 minutes. It was pretty dark inside. As a Korean fried chicken chain, this was a major let down. Paid $17.11 for 8 piece strips for reference. There are street parking spots outside.

There is indoor and outdoor seating and you can easily get a seat. Staff is very friendly and there is a parking lot that is free with lots of parking. Korean fried chicken - half spicy and half soy garlic: there is nothing better than the crunch that comes with their fried chicken. Each piece has a lot of flavor and both are delicious. The spicy is spicy, so beware when ordering if you don't like the spice. Chicken katsu- good but not great. Comes on top of rice.

This place was definitely a hip place to eat at. When we came the traffic was slow but the service was impeccable. I loved how 90% of the restaurant was surrounded by windows so you could see out as yiu ate and all the natural light. I ordered the chicken katsu which was absolutely amazing with this tangy Zang sauce to dip it in. It also came w a side I chose kimchi coleslaw which was spicy and delicious. My husband got bugolgi fried rice and the flavors were to die for. My girls got wings. One got the spicy one which is HOOOOT!!! and then the soy garlic flavor wings was to die for. A little bit of both world's of the garlic and soy was in there and the wings was sooooo crunchy!! Over all amazing experience! Wish we had one in daytona!

Stopped in here after an evening performance at Twilight Tattoo. We were seated and visited promptly and placed an order for the garlic fried chicken, bulgogi fries and I think a side of Mac and cheese. The fries were hot and bulgogi was seasoned well and complimented the textures on the plate. The garlic fried chicken was slightly over cooked but still tasty with a nice balance of crunchy batter and tender meat. The Mac and cheese was a creamy blend of spice and cheese. Bonchon is a good go to for an easy and quick meal.

The McDonalds if Korean fried chicken. Not bad, but there's better in the area (Dak chicken in Shirlington) and even better in Rockville.

Fig Around and Find Out: 4/5, not too sweet, and you could really taste the prosecco Chikin: 5/5, you can't go wrong with this Anju classic! This is a perfect appetizer for four people. Our waiter provided some hand wipes so we could clean our hands off afterwards. Yukhoe: 3/5, this was sweeter than I expected, and the sugar/nuts/chili basil overpowered any beef flavor. Chadolbaegi Fried Rice: 4/5, great smoky flavor but I wish the butternut squash had been cut bigger to enjoy more with each bite. More pork also would've been nice. Kimchi Jjigae: 5/5, we added noodles, which was a great move. This was such a delicious stew, and I loved the kimchi.

Half chikin (4/5) - why do they call it chikin? It made me think it wasn't real chicken like what veggie grill calls their fake chicken. Anyway, it was messy but it was crispy and hot - it was fine. I've had better. 3. Lobster steamed egg (1/5) - the lobster was rubbery and I'm not a big fan of mixing sweet and savory together and for me, the sweet peppers ruined the entire dish. For me, the dish as a whole was less than the sum of its parts. 4. Ssam (5/5) - this dish saved the rest of the meal. The meat was tender the pear was nice and refreshing but to be honest, I consider this hard to mess up as long as the meat is good. My wife said that she wishes we just ordered two of these and nothing else lol. 5. Drinks (non-alcoholic - one was yakult and the other I think was passionfruit) - my wife really enjoyed both drinks so I guess I'll round up the review to 4 stars. If I lived in DC, I would probably go back here but since we're from out of state and visit DC once a year for work, we probably wouldn't come back here.

It is a small place, but the meats are fresh and tender. We had the bulgogi, galbi, and pork ribs and they were all delicious. Our favorite meat is the marinated rib tips. It has the best flavor when grilled. This restaurant is the best Korean barbecue in Northern Virginia. We like it better than all the other Korean BBQ places because the marinade is excellent and the place is smaller than most places , but service is good. They prefer to grill everything for you. We will definitely come back and refer others. They do not take reservations. You need to come get on the waitlist and wait...most of the time it's over an hour long. You see, sometimes the quality does matter and quantity is something that is overrated. Meokja Meokja demonstrates that at times quality trumps quantity in Kbbq. The cuts of the meat were all very fresh. I especially enjoyed the beef brisket. It was very tender. A lot of the times at AYCE Kbbq, the beef brisket can be quite dry. Not the case here. The waitress cooked all of our food, which is something I haven't truly appreciated in a while. It does make the food a bit more enjoyable when I don't have to do all the work. This restaurant is not super big. It was already borderline packed despite that we went there right when it opened. My friend told me there is one time they waited almost an hour at 9PM. So I would definitely get here early to avoid a long wait. While I had always been a loyal fan of AYCE Kbbq, I have found myself over the recent years slowly being tipped over towards the a la carte territory. Meokja Meokja has been the tipping point that finally swayed me over. The price here is about the same as AYCE, but with better quality, and I don't feel like trash after finishing the meal. Overall, AYCE Kbbq can be a messy affair, but I felt very clean and satisfied after eating here. A very solid Kbbq meal that I haven't had in a while.
