Super consistent with great Korean snack items! Loved the combination of tteobokki and hot dog. It wasn't too spicy so I was able to munch on the dish without too much trouble. The location is tucked into a corner and is never too packed when I go in the afternoon which makes it easy to sit and wait for the food.

Another Ballston Quarter restaurant that I was rather disappointed by. I ordered the Chicken bulgogi bowl, and the portion size and the price were very good. However, the chicken tasted like chicken that had been slightly cooked in soy sauce, and it was nothing like bulgogi or even Korean tasting. I saw that they had a lot of other Korean street food that looked yummy though, so I'll give those a try next time!

I was in Ballston to see a movie at the AMC for the first time and was surprised to find the Ballston Quarter Market on the ground floor - pretty cool food court with lots of options for before or after watching a movie upstairs. I'd seen Oh K-Dog before and was excited to try it - I got the mozzarella potato dog and while I am a fan of Korean corn dogs, I thought the batter on this one was too thick for my taste. It made for a pretty heavy meal, which is to be expected since it is fried dough, cheese, and potatoes after all so maybe I'm just not in my Korean corn dog era anymore.

I'm so glad I finally tried out Korean hot dogs after hearing folks rave about it so much recently! We split the cheddar hot dog and the bacon & cheese toast. The breading on the hot dog was fantastic - it shattered as you bit into it and was quite crispy, without being oily or heavy. The cheddar provided some nice cheese pull. This was a satisfying snack and definitely hit the spot for that fry/salty combo. One tip is that if you choose to add the spicy sauce on top, you might want to be heavy handed with the sauces. We added only a little bit and did not find it at all spicy. The bacon & cheese toast was OK. I was a little disappointed how quickly the toast got soggy even though we were dining in and dug into it pretty soon after sampling the hot dog. The eggs were plentiful but the bacon was not at all crispy so there wasn't much textural contrast. There were other menu options that looked fun to try - they had various ramens like shin ramen and buldak ramen that you can get as combos with your corn dog and kimbap.

My friend ordered their half cheese and half sausage corn dog but we received the mozzarella dog with no sausage, we were looking forward to having sausage but since all the prices are the same, I guess its fine lol We got there around 8ish? Im not sure exactly but it looked like they were getting ready to close shop. We were hoping to order some ramen noodles but they had already closed that section, so only corn dog for us! The hot mustard was a great addition/dip to the cheesy dog. The potatoes were a little tough to bite through, but the mozzarella was soo good. It was super cheesy (duh) and fresh hot, with a great cheese pull. I would definitely come back to try their ramen with the corn dog!

I have been wanting to check out this place for sometime now but perhaps I went on an off day or so. This is inside Ballston Quarter Market featuring many food options if you're looking to try out different cuisines or something new. For me, I was just craving Korean Street Food so here I am. It took like a few minutes for the staff to come up to help me order because the touchscreen wasn't working. It gave me some time to check out their menu. They have combos where you could get toast or ramen(ramyun) along side a korean corn dog and a drink of your choice. So I opted for Shin Ramyun, a Mozzarella Corndog with an extra topping of potatoes and a Pina Colada drink. Interesting combo I have here. The Ramen is cooked on one of these induction stove top machines that the staff will do for you, it's cool and makes me wish I had one of these at my house. My Mozzarella corndog came out out of the fryer, a nice crispy coating with a few fries attached to it. Amazing. I feel like if you ever tried Shin Ramyun, it's pretty much spicy enough to have some kick but its not overwhelming. The noodles are bigger than most noodle packets so I do feel like you get alot here. Try it out if you are looking to get into more ramen options. The corndog had a crunchy exterior to it with every bite. I was surprised by the mozzarella cheese inside, and was able to pull the cheese at least a few meters away. I guess that's my favorite part about Korean Corn Dogs, seeing how much cheese you can pull. The Pina Colada Slush... it's a slushie. I feel like I could have gotten a soda or a Korean Soft Drink but I probably just wanted something cold that night. I will be back to try the toast out for sure, I think that looks really good to eat!

Yeah, the typical fair corn dog is tasty, but why not add cheese? Potato? A coating of sugar? Those delicious combinations can all be found at Oh K-Dog. I ordered the Potato Mozza Dog and got the sugar on it, then added two of the different sauce options on top. Trust everyone here - it's a wonderfully crunchy and unique thing to eat. But if you really want that familiar hot dog on a stick they got it there, too. The prices for the hot dogs aren't steep compared to everything else around the food court.

My friend ate here and loves the variety that the place had to offer. You can order from the kiosk and comes with pictures and breakdowns of what you want. Again cute area of va so solid views and vibes. Service was cool too.

    Tteokbokki with corn dog
    Sophia J.

I had a bad experience with tteokbboki at this other place and I vowed to never have it again until my friend and I tried this place out! The tteokbboki here is the right texture with the right amount of spice and thickness of sauce to it! The waiting time may vary but honestly it's so worth it. It's a little stand inside the ballston mall but it gives off that Korean convenience store feel which is cute.

We went to Ballston Quarter for breakfast, hoping to find some good breakfast food options. We were happy to see Oh K-Dog serving egg toasts that we orders three to try! We got the original, ham & cheese, and bacon egg & cheese. These were so different tasting and absolutely delicious!! Unlike any other breakfast option in the area. Highly highly recommend and can't wait to go back and try more!! Also their booth/shop was super cool looking and had so many options.

Nice flavors, could use more variety. The hot dog was tasty, but the menu felt limited. Would love more unique topping options!

I wanted to love this! I'm glad there is a Korean corn dog spot in Ballston Quarter. But it was more of a 3/3.5 for me. The toast with egg and avocado was pretty good and filling. I had a regular corn dog and it was fine, but not as good as spots I've been to in Annandale. The slush drink was disappointing; too artificial and claw I got sweet for my taste. The spicy rice cakes were okay, but again, I'd probably just order from a full Korean restaurant if I was craving this.

    carbokki
    Jenny P.

My review is solely based off the carbokki (carbonara Tteokbokki). I was expecting it to be so good but it was so bland and the sauce was curdled. It really just tasted like unseasoned and unsweetened cream like half n half. The rice cakes themselves were really soft but other than that, it was a waste of money in my opinion

The visit was unique, the story is unique and the food is unique! Let's do this! Established in 1950 or 1954 (reports vary but the sign on the building says 1954), Weenie Beenie was a modest hot dog stand serving hot dogs and beans. It was started by two brothers, Carl and Bill Staton. Bill happened to be an incredible and ultimately famous traveling pool player who went by the name... you guessed it... Weenie Beenie! He won 27k in Arkansas (which is a LOT of money in the 1950's) and used the money to finance the hot dog stand's growth! He appeared on television, played hustlers across the country, and backed other hustlers while living the pool and entrepreneur life. During the 50's, a period of entrenched segregation in Virginia, Weenie Beenie distinguished itself by hiring black employees on the same terms as whites when most white‑owned businesses would not hire blacks at all. This made Weenie Beenie a rare example of early workplace integration in Arlington and a meaningful employer within the historically Black Green Valley community. Its reputation for fairness became a very important part of its legacy, remembered along with the food and its very colorful founder. We popped over and found a 70+ year old walk-up stand with a colorful, diverse and engaging set of customers and friendly service. In faded letters on the front wall to the left are the 10 commandments! No breaking any divine rules at Weenie Beenie's! We all chatted and I learned the one guy comes every day! The old man in the suit was very polite and reserved. The younger Latin and black clientele were fun and engaging and we joked around quite a bit. Another older man was as 38-year veteran of the armed service! Thank you sir! I heard some stories... Of course, we ordered half-smokes! They are well-seasoned half-pork, half beef, smoked sausages that are truly incredible. Weenie Beenie's are unique and delicious! Life is good with a historic, unique, fun and respectful half smoke.

This place is always empty and it's obvious why The burger patties have very little in terms of a crust, just a generic slab of meat with very little flavor. They really come off like cheap pre-made patties. My burger had a big chunk of the tough part of the lettuce that made the burger really unbalanced. I see people referring to this as a good value but the burgers cost $16 and they charge you an extra $5 for a side (including fries). It would cost me $16 to get a way better burger that comes with a side from Rhodeside, All About Burger would give me a better burger for $9 and at dinner time I'd be able to get a full combo for $10. Lyon Hall, which is a much fancier place, charges you $20 for a burger and fries. This is one of the more expensive burgers you can get here and they seem to actually be the most expensive place in the area to actually get a burger and fries. I ordered a side caesar salad and it was really bad. The cheese tasted like something out of a bag, the croutons were by no exaggeration the worst and most boring croutons I've ever had. Also, the dressing was given on the side, when I eat in at a restaurant I don't expect to dress my own salad and it gave me more of an impression that the food comes in premade. One member of the party got the spicy cheese curds which just seemed like small (not very good) mozzarella sticks. This place tries to be everything and has no identity because of it. They are going for a country sports bar vibe and they're named "burger district" yet they have a wine menu. They have a bunch of random wraps, appetizers, fish and chips, even waffles and spaghetti (for kids) on their menu! I count 15 different types of burgers +3 types of smash burgers. There are 6 kinds of salads. They desperately need to shrink the menu and find a few things to do well.
