I visited Inca Social today and overall had a very good experience. The atmosphere was excellent--warm, lively, and perfect for enjoying Peruvian food with family and friends. The Ceviche Carretillero was fresh and flavorful, but it was a bit too salty for my taste. That was the main reason I decided to give 4 stars instead of 5. The fried calamari was excellent--crispy, tender, and cooked perfectly. The picarones were outstanding and easily one of the highlights of the meal. The alfajor, beautifully shaped like the map of Peru, was the perfect ending to the meal and absolutely delicious. Overall, I enjoyed the food, desserts, and atmosphere, and I would definitely return. With a little less salt in the Ceviche Carretillero, this could have easily been a 5-star experience. read more

This is such a wonderful place with great Peruvian and many great food options, even for vegetarians. I go my favorite, the aji de gallena and my friends got the octopus and arroz con mariscos. The food came very quickly and everything was great. The manager even came up to us and offered me some extra sauces when I asked for hot sauces. Definitely asked for the red, green and yellow sauce on the side. The ambiance is great. It's a huge place but can be slightly loud, although it could be the vibe of the place. I decided to meet up with some friends on a rainy night for happy hour at Inca Social. I've been here before when the weather was nicer and the windows were open, but this time it was raining and a little chilly, so it was actually nice to enjoy the cozy indoor atmosphere. One of the things I really love about this place is their happy hour specials. By the time I arrived, my friend had already ordered a few appetizers, so I immediately got to try some dishes. We had the chicken tacos and the chicken chicharrón, which were both really flavorful. I ended up ordering another round of the chicken chicharrón for myself, but this time I asked for a side of rice to go with it. That turned out to be a great decision and I'd definitely order it that way again. I also tried the pork bao buns, which I hadn't seen on the menu before. They were delicious -- the pork belly was crispy and full of flavor. My friend also ordered the causa, which is whipped potatoes topped with chicken salad. It was a beautiful day to sit outside. So, we got seating on the patio. Our server Diana made us feel welcome with her warm smile and had great knowledge of the menu. She quickly got us started off with drinks and Miraflores rolls with the passion fruit sauce for an appetizer. Just the right thing to get our appetites in gear . Our main order of Anticuchos (beef heart), which are grilled Peruvian street, style skewers with roasted potatoes and choclo perfectly paired w/Inca and chimichurri sauce. Decided to have lunch before heading to the airport and I'm glad I decided to stop by Inca Social. I was really looking for a vibrant atmosphere with some traditional Peruvian and this was an awesome pick. I'll start by saying that the bartender assisting me was very friendly and gave his opinions on what to get. I decided to get chicha rum (one of the restaurant classics), this was something slightly fruity but with a nice warm balance of warm spice from the ChiCha...the combination was perfect. Next, the Inca balls were my absolute favorite-- you can choose between all of them being cheese filled, meat filled, or mix them up (my recommendation), it was fresh, perfect amount of filling, and a nice crunch! Pair it with the sauce they include on the plate to add additional flavor (you won't regret it). And lastly, my main entree was their popular breakfast platter that included rolls, pork, meat tamale, and sweet potato's-- this is not your typical breakfast but definitely flavor packed! The robust flavor of the pork with the pickled onion together was my favorite part! My only complaint is I wish the sweet potato's weren't so soggy...I wish they had a bit of crunch to it, they almost tasted like they were sitting out for a while. The Pescado a lo macho was my 2nd favorite, it had a nice savory creamy sauce that paired well with the white rice and seafood. Sadly the texture of the fish was a bit too soft as the description said it was pan seared and the octopus was super chewy. I liked the sear on the skewers, and could tell they grilled them. The private room they had was great, with really comfortable chairs, they made a nice customized menu for our grandmother's 95th birthday and we got to enjoy empanadas (really good but wish you could mix and match beef and chicken), causas (a bit too lime-y for my taste but still delicious), and several of the entrees. Instagram restaurant with great food. I had the lomo saltado which was well prepared. The steak was tender and well seasoned. The fries were on the side which was perfect. Ambiance was giving fun! Placed an order to go on a Sunday night with a 30 minute estimate for pick-up. I ordered take out so I can't speak about the service, but I can say my entree was luke warm when I arrived to pick it up exactly at the recommended time. Pros: The beef empanada was delicious, warm, large, and perfectly made. They provide ample sauces for those who need extra. The churros were amazing - not too dry and not at all stale. And the chocolate sauce? Sublime. Also, the lomo was perfectly medium rare. Cons: The chicken empanada was fairly bland (so perhaps it's a safe bet for those who are less adventurous). The entree was luke warm, which was incredibly disappointing. To add on, the dish was overall lackluster and drowning in an oil. The meat had a smell that was very off putting - I'm not sure if it was the dish the meat was cooked in or the oil itself, but the flavor and the stench was awful. It was a real shame because the meat was a gorgeous cut and cooked perfectly. All in all, I'm hoping it was just one bad dish/experience and I plan to visit again soon, ideally for happy hour. read more

This place lived up the hype. The restaurant was super accommodating to every request we had. To start the service was amazing-- quick, attentive and knowledgeable. They knew what I could and couldn't eat with my shrimp allergy. Everything we ordered was delicious. I would def recommend the sushi (mangos and plantains ). As a peruvian, the food was delicious and amazing with its unique twists like the sushi and apps but in my latest visit, it delivered poorly. The arroz con pollo aka arroz verde was extremely watery? with barely any flavor. The salmon con risotto was dry and no flavor again, and the tallarines verdes was way too watery with the lack of flavor as well... Maybe go? But its either a hit or miss. Let me start by stating that the Customer Service was amazing. As soon as we enter, we were greeted with smiles and willingness to get us a table. Felt like treating myself after a long radiology ordeal today. The toughest part was lying still for two hours while I glowed in the dark. You know, kind of like taking a nap. Avoid the temptation to have a second unless you are being chauffeured home. I arrived at 5, a little early, and took a table. I waited quite a while and finally had to get up and find a waitress to ask for a menu. I ordered two appetizers and a main along with my double Pisco. Because the kitchen was not busy everything arrived at once. The Tiradito Al Olivo was excellent with the octopus chewy and fresh and the black olive foam tart and sweet reminiscent of a creamy blueberry yogurt. My favorite app though is Papa à la Huancaina. Who would believe a simple thick sliced steamed potato could be so delicious? The Lomo Saltado was the best I've have anywhere, even cold, with the beef so flavorful and tender you could consider your teeth optional. Everything was flavorful, well-cooked, and delectable, especially the sweet potatoes I'd recommend sharing a few plates for the full experience. For my first time, I fell in love with the Miraflores Sushi, the Beef Anticucho (cow hearts), and the Ceviche sampler. We also ordered shrimp causas and the Inca balls, but these didn't have as much flavor. The service is very good and our server was very kind and offered great suggestions. The aesthetic, decor, and ambiance were all great, however, the place can get pretty loud due to how open the restaurant is. Service was efficient and friendly. The food came out quickly and was very flavorful especially paired with the quinoa. Portions were on the smaller side considering the price, but still found my portion filling.
