Meatball and eggplant pizza
Claudine L.

I thought the pizza was pretty good, but a couple of them were a little more floppy than I would like. We saw four different pizzas to share meatball egg, eggplant, pesto, and prosciutto. My favorite was the prosciutto with the fresh arugula. I also enjoyed the pesto and burrata. We got the roasted broccoli and there's nothing special. Comes with free bread and olive oil didn't really enjoy it, since the bread was hard. We were there for someone's birthday and we got free Panna cotta and an ensemble to sing happy birthday. It was really cute. It was a good vibe to enjoy dinner together with friends.

This place is a hit! We glad we listened to a recommendation and found this place. We had bruschetta which really good! The pizza we had Diavola, Prosciutto with Arugula and pepperoni. Everything was so good but my fave is Prosciutto with Arugula. The dough, taste and feels like am in Napoli again. We also ordered the lasagna, but I think it's not for our party. It's not bad but we just have high expectations. The staff were wonderful, really fast and they are there in the right time. The place was has its own character and charm from the outside to inside. Sittings are available outdoor and indoor. For sure we will go back!

Margherita Personal - 12''

Most authentic Italian pizza in the DMV. The numerous awards are well deserved. I ordered a 12 inch Margherita pizza. Great balance of sauce and cheese. The crust was crispy, not too thick, and brought me back to the years I lived in Italy. The flour is even shipped from Italy! The 12 inch feeds one person quite easily, but can also be shared for 2 with an appetizer. Service was friendly, genuine, and fast. Vibe was casual. While I only ordered pizza, I'll be back for happy hour! The wine selection looked impressive, and happy hour applies to whole menu!

This pizza tastes just like the pizza we had in Naples. Crust is light and chewy. Sauce, cheese and toppings were perfect. Highly recommend if you like Neapolitan pizza. Rated #32 of the top 50 pizza spots for 2025 but better than ones we've had higher on the list.

The pizza here is so tasty! We got a pizza that was half Arlington, and half Casertana, both great options! The food came out pretty promptly. The drinks were also strong in a good way. They give complimentary bread, which was nice to eat since we were all really hungry. Service was very helpful and great! The restaurant is a bit congested but it has the vibe of an old diner, which I liked. Their Happy Hour deals are great too, so would love to come back and try other dishes.

I love this place, probably my favorite Neapolitan pizzeria in DMV. I like the variety of options, good sides and desserts as well. The staff is also very cheerful. They have specials on everyday with some days with half off pizzas. Check the website for details.

Pesto e Burrata-12"

I was able to walk in without a reservation with a party of four for a girls dinner. We were graded with a cozy family, friendly environment that had no frills and was low-key but still a little upscale. They have a nice outdoor patio as well and plenty of parking. The food is really authentic and feels like you are in Italy. The pizzas, especially feature amazing mozzarella Cheese and fresh tomatoes. I highly recommend the pesto burrata pizza. It was very unique and tasty.

The pizza here was ok, but I was surprised at the expensive cake fee. At other restaurants, I don't have to pay an insane cake fee and they will store the cake, add candles, cut the cake, and provide plates and utensils. Here, they charge way too much just to store the cake. The pizza was nothing special, so the service really soiled my experience.

Modo Mio, 4 Cheese, Tomato Pie, Margherita, Porchetta

Came here on a Saturday around 7ish with my fellow pizza aficionado. Very nice. The dough is really really thin and soft before it gets airy and a little more dense (and nicely blistered). Sauce is EXCELLENT. I thought the tomato pie (no cheese) was outstanding (but could be further enhanced with a sprinkle of fresh garlic and pecorino). The red Modo Mio(?) with the prosciutto, arugula, olives and ricotta(?) was my favorite. The white porchetta with shrooms was almost equally outstanding. Maybe add sauce and make it red? REALLY really good though. The 4 Cheese was my buddy's fave, and he's as sick in the head (we've traveled for pizza...more than once) for za as I am. Lastly the Margherita. Very good, cheese to sauce skewed way too cheesy (cant believe I typed that) and should've been fresh mozzarella. But still quite a delicious slice.

The food was so good! Prices were very fair. Everyone working there seemed to enjoy their job and we're great at customer service. I wish I loved closer cause this is definitely the best Italian food I've had in a while.

Gnocchi Sorrentina

We came here on a Wednesday and it was packed, we could not find parking in the actual lot so we had to park on the street. Luckily we did make a reservation so we had our table ready. The free bread and oil were fresh and great. Wednesdays they have half off pizzas so we got those and I tried the Gnocchi Sorrentina. The pizza was great and the gnocchi was really good sadly I just wish it came with more. We also got the tiramisu and mini cannolis, both were just ok. I would definitely come back on Wednesday and get more pizza or even on Tuesdays where they have half off pasta.

Great restaurant. The food was so delicious. A little pricey for the portions but each dish really tasted great. Cute inside. Their kitchen is totally open which I love. Added a really cool element to the ambiance. Service was overall good.

I'm giving this place a 5 because it's very nice, clean, and well presented. The advertising they did about being a top 50 pizza got me in the door and I'm glad I checked it out. I went on a Sunday and it was pretty crowded. Great experience.

The service we received from her was by far the best service I have received in a very long time here in the DMV. I actually stopped dining out as much as I used to because service has declined over the past few years sadly to say. She was patient, made suggestions on some tasty meals but most importantly, had a great personality that you can tell is authentic & genuine which made a simple girls brunch that much more memorable. Now as the food.....I'll just say this, DELICIOUS! My friends and I shared different items on the menu for brunch from hors d'oeuvres to main course down to dessert. When I say EVERYTHING was super tasty I seriously mean it. We had the mussels, pasta, sea bass, and more in which the chef made each platter with a unique twist for each. All this to say is you must try this cafe. I had to write this review because it truly deserves a 5+ star for its meals/drinks, ambiance but to me most importantly the service. If you are lucky enough to have Bailey, I promise she won't disappoint you. Thank you for the wonderful experience and food

So, a friend has always been a fan of this place but just hadn't been in many, many years, so she opted to celebrate her birthdate here. The location has plenty of parking available with very kind and welcoming staff. Our party was quickly seated and greeted by our waiter. For starters, we had the Salad Maison and the La Cachat, which was very appetizing. My friend had the Potato Crusted Salmon, which was my favorite dish that we ordered. It was cooked and flavored perfectly for my taste buds. Another dish that a guest from our party had was sea bass (Loup De Mar), which I also enjoyed. This dish also was big in portion size. My dish was the Steak Frites which was cooked medium, however, it wasn't as juicy or flavorful as I desired. I also took the opportunity to try the Ridoir which was strong yet tasty. Overall, we had a great experience.

It's become a favorite spot for my daughter and me, and we've even hosted several hangouts for her friends there. It's the perfect low-key environment for a small group. The interior has a great vibe; kids (and likely plenty of adults) love making the origami cranes that decorate the room. My daughter and her friends always head straight for the traditional seating area with the pillows on the floor, though there are plenty of regular tables if you prefer the standard setup. On the menu, the Beef Banh Mi is a standout. It's easily the best you'll find in this part of town without making the trek out to the Eden Center. The meat is juicy, the roll is excellent, and they offer it with or without an egg. The secret stars of the menu, however, are the basil fries. They are excellent and come with a fantastic house-made dipping sauce that pulls it all together. While my daughter is the boba fan of the duo, I stick to the coffee and smoothies. Just be cautious with the Vietnamese coffee--if you aren't a seasoned veteran, that caffeine kick will have your heart racing for hours. The staff is consistently fast, friendly, and efficient. It's a local neighborhood staple that we'll keep coming back to. My only complaint is that they are not a coffee shop for early AM!

Growing up Italian stateside, I never knew about this light, wavy pasta dish. So pappardelle pasta is like some rare delicacy and I love it. This pasta dish is not easy to find unless it has been popularized in the Italian dining scene, recently. How can I explain this pasta? Papardelle are not thick like butter noodles, but instead they are thin yet wide. And at Dal Grano's, they must be experienced to be savoured. Do call ahead, because they might just have them made. Dal Grano's is a neighborhood place. We love how when you are dining, they actually talk to you and are friendly. There are a few other places around Mclean proper which I wish were more overtly warm and hospitable, in this way. All of Dal Grano's pasta is homemade and delicious. It's definitely great for carryout pasta or a diner-style environment with a homemade pasta lunch or dinner. I don't think they deliver or work with any of the delivery services. You just call and pickup. The butternut squash ravioli is tender and flavorful. We have probably have gotten different versions of their ravioli every time. Outside of the papardelle, I'm all in for their rich squid ink pasta when it's made. I don't go there enough to know if it's always available. They have over 50 homemade pasta combinations to choose from and a big freezer case of food to take home. My biggest issue with Dal Grano's is when I see all of the pastas in the serving bowls presented to order and cook, I want to buy them all at once. I know it sounds tacky, but they make me yearn for a pasta buffet there just so that I can taste all of the variations. Alas, if we were in town more we'd just need to go more often to taste all of their selection. There's only one other restaurant that does Italian this well and it's around 15 minutes away in Falls Church. But even that fabulous Italian restaurant does not compare with the amount and selection of homemade pastas at Dal Grano's.
