Delicious, authentic certified Neapolitan pizza with large pies - great for sharing! I spotted the pizza place while driving to Pie-tazza next door, and so glad I went back to try Modo Mio! There's plenty of indoor and outdoor seating and love the adorable little Fiat! The pillowy charred crust with sweet marinara sauce and fresh mozzarella cheese topped with basil was truly divine! The pizza was a generous portion and large enough for hubby and I to easily share the pizza without bickering over the last slice! The pizza was ready within a few minutes and cooked in a dome oven with propane gas. A glass of Chianti paired well with the pizza. The housemade creamy cake-like tiramisu with cappuccino was the perfect sweet ending to our meal! The service was great, when hubby spilled his cup of cappuccino, the waitress promptly cleaned up the mess and made a fresh cappuccino for him. I've driven by Modo Mio a few times, on a recent Friday I decided to grab some pasta there before running some errands. I was impressed when I walked inside, it was a much nicer ambiance than I expected. I bellied up to the bar where I was greeted by a very friendly bartender. There were also a few locals at the bar that were busy chatting with the manager. My meal started with some bread and olive oil: really enjoyed the thick and chewy texture of the French bread. Gnocchi Ai 4 Formaggi: Fantastic cheese sauce- it hit the spot and my craving for cheese + pasta. Meatballs: Medium size, a nice thick texture, and beef blend but just OK. Overall I'd give this establishment something between a 3 and a 4 (I still wish I could give half stars!) With friendly service and ambiance, I'll round up this time around. read more

A Modo Mio is hands down one of the best Italian restaurants in the DMV. I didn't know this, but the owner of this restaurant also owns il Canale in Georgetown. I actually prefer A Modo Mio to il Canale anytime since it's closer to where I live, there's free parking, and it's a more family friendly restaurant. Great place to visit if you have kids. My daughter loves the food here. Servers are all very friendly and the food is great. Of particular note is the Spaghetti Del Mare. Probably one of the best pastas I've ever had, so definitely give this dish a go when you're here. The spaghetti here is slightly thicker than most other places, and it's definitely better than "regular" spaghetti. Sauce on the Spaghetti Del Mare is light and flavorful, and they don't skimp on the seafood inside. Pizzas are all definitely on point here as well. Can't go wrong. Tuesdays are pasta night (1/2 off dine in) and Wednesdays are pizza night (1/2 off pizzas). These are amazing deals, so if you can get here on these nights, it's definitely worth it. 10/10 experience for me here. read more

Modo Mio means "My Way" and specializes in Neapolitan pizza. The menu had a good number of options and I don't think I could have gone wrong. A friend of mine & I decided to split two different personal pizzas; a meatlovers and one with prosciutto. At my server's advice, we also got a nice bottle of rose'. Service was spot on. Since it was a weekday afternoon the place wasn't totally packed, but it seemed to focus on a more family-friendly crowd. Parking was easy as well. Both pizzas were outstanding. My daughter and son-in-law brought my wife and here for dinner. Three of us had pizza and one had gnocchi. We all shared each other's dishes. The pizza was one of the best I've ever had, and that is saying a lot because I was raised in Syracuse, NY and there seemed to be a pizza place on every block! The gnocchi was incredible, very soft and delicious. For desert the four of us shared a tira misu and a piece of Torta Caprese. Both were excellent. You can't go wrong eating here. read more

For pizzas, we tried a few. The crust was thin and had a nice chew. The pizza toppings were excellent, although I wasn't a fan of the sauce. Favorite pies were the diavola and the shrimp pesto. Some of the pies were a touch bitter, not completely balanced with all toppings/sauce. Pastas were ok, favorite there was the four cheese gnocchi which had a ton of gorgonzola flavor. We brought the family here for half-priced pasta the other Tuesday night so of course the price was right! We tried the majority of their pastas and while my wife's lasagna was my favorite I'd have to say my gnocchi al quattro formaggi came in second followed by the Spaghetti Del Mare then the Paccheri Alla Bolognese. All of them were delicious dishes and we followed up with our first panna cotta ever; what a delicate dessert. I have to admit, I'm even more excited to try their half priced pizza Wednesdays I honestly have been thinking about it every Wednesday since our first visit. This place is located conveniently on the edge of Arlington, has great deals to match delicious food, good service and a manager that checked on us - and you could tell he actually cares about your making your experience special. I love Modo Mio! The pizza is similar to the sister spot il Canale with fresh ingredients and fresh Salami (Italian pepperoni). The crust is just excellent. I'm so thankful they came out to VA. Went on a Sunday afternoon, no wait, server was nice and friendly. Kept checking up on us, the place was pretty good size with lots of seating available. The building seems old but don't let that stop you from trying their great dishes. I had spaghetti and asked waiter to add bolognese and it was great. I did feel there was something missing but couldn't pinpoint it. They give bread while you wait and we also order the Caesar salad which was good and cold just wish they had added more dressing to it. Overall, good experience and good food. My sister and I came here after a long hike. It was a Friday night and we got seated right away. We ordered the meatball appetizer and two personal pizzas. I chose the Arlington and she chose meatball with ricotta cheese. The meatballs were so tender-they melt in your mouth. The red sauce was outstanding. My salami was indeed spicy which I loved. It was pretty quiet, which I appreciated. Ordered a "Malavita" pizza, Tiramisu and a few Aperol Sprits. A few friends decided to join later on, and I ended up spending quite a bit of time at the place (~6 hours) There is a sense of community in this place which I really enjoyed. Waitress felt more like a cousin coming over telling you what auntie made, and watch out for uncle he is in a mood..
