Chicken Over Rice
Dea M.

I ordered from DoorDash so I have no idea about what it looks like (hence the 4 stars) but boy does this taste good! I would guess it's a local spot by the taste of it! It's like I was in DC but transported to the trucks in NYC on the corner that I loved so much when I lived there! I asked for my white, red and bbq sauce on the side. I could eat the white sauce all day. The food does have a little kick just the way I like it even without the hot sauce. If you're in DC and able to swing by or DoorDash it, do it!! I don't think you will be upset at all!

Muy rica lo recomindo 100%

Super deliciosa deliciosa esta comida por primera ves aqui la recomiendo 100% muy limpio y muy amables es una comida diferente pero deliciosa

Love the combo platter (easily feeds 2 people). Great value. Friendly owner. One of the best lunch options in Courthouse.

The combo platter here is so worth it - the hot sauce kills me, but I always ask for extra. Yum!

Got take out from here...didn't expect much, but it was unexpectedly good! I had the chicken over rice - big portions, good flavor.

These crabs were fat, hot af, and heavenly. The old bay usage could be significantly increased. That's my only complaint. But the crabs themselves were so heavenly i was willing to overlook the mid level of seasonings. Staff was friendly. They let us know straight up that the crabs are steamed fresh and would take 30-40 min. Other appetizers came out quickly. It was pretty crowded for a Saturday in October and when we left at 9 pm families were still arriving. Parking was a breeze on the street. I wish the table had been a little bigger. There wasn't a lot of space for all our snacks, drinks, and the discard buckets. I CAN NOT WAIT to come back

Fried Crab Ball -- 8.5/10 The ball was packed with crab meat--just deeply satisfying. I did carryout, and the price came to about $66 per person after tax. The food was worth the price. It was very busy. I was there on a Saturday around 4:45 p.m., and there was already a crowd. There wasn't much service, though. It's definitely a foodie spot with no frills. I gave it four stars mainly because I grew up in a coastal city and have had better seafood before.

I always seek out seafood when eating out. The Salt Line did not disappoint…read more It was restaurant week, which I am not a fan. So, I ordered the regular Arctic char from the regular menu and my friend ordered the special menu for restaurant week. His gazpacho was the best I ever tasted! I believe it even had chunks of shrimp in it with scallions on top that added a nice crunch. Sadly, it's not on the regular menu. He too got the Arctic Char for his entree. The Arctic Char was delicious and the grains underneath with vegetables was yummy. There were small dollops of a wonderful mayonnaise type sauce that was perfect! I would definitely order that again. (The Arctic chart that came with the restaurant week menu was clearly smaller than my regular menu item. This is why I don't care for restaurant week. This is not a slight against the restaurant, all restaurants do this.) I asked for bread and they brought out some yummy Parker rolls baked in a little skillet with old bay butter. They were piping hot and just perfectly fluffy on the inside. They charge six dollars for it. This is a minor issue-- I probably wouldn't charge more than five dollars. Most restaurants don't offer bread at all anymore and if they do--they charge. They really should mention that they charge for the bread when customers asked for it. My friend chose strawberry ice cream for his dessert included in the restaurant week menu. It was just okay, but what can you expect? It was just ice cream. I ordered a wonderful special bourbon old-fashioned--it was delicious. He got a beer which was quite pricey at $13 for a beer. That seems a bit high. We had a wonderful waitress. Her name is Chante. She was delightful and added to our great experience. We sat outside under the cover because it was such a beautiful night we wanted to eat outside. The bar was really hopping and loud. The restaurant decor is very cute with a French bistro style. This restaurant is close to the Ballston Mall. If you can't find street parking, which is usually tight, just go into the mall garage. I will definitely be going back.

Other than that, my steak salad was not appetizing. But everything else was good. Update: owner replied and did a refund to my card. I didn't bring it up at the restaurant because I didn't want to cause a scene. I appreciate your reply and the refund was a surprise. I would definitely go back.

So good -- we're already planning our next visit!…read more We decided to grab dinner at Mussel Bar & Grille in Arlington, and wow... everything was amazing! We kicked things off with the French Onion Soup, Blue Crab Dip, and East Coast Oysters -- all 10/10. The soup was rich and cheesy (comfort in a bowl), the crab dip was creamy and loaded with real crab, and the oysters were super fresh and briny. For mains, we had the Salmon and the Lobster Mac & Cheese -- both total winners. The salmon was perfectly cooked, and that Lobster Mac? Unreal. Creamy, cheesy, and packed with big chunks of lobster. Service was friendly, the vibe was fun but still classy, and we left full and happy. If you love seafood and good energy, this place is a must. Can't wait to go back!

The portions were generous (come hungry!) and everything was served hot and flavorful. The crab dip was delicious but that portion was a bit small. Parking Tip: Park in the nearby garage and pop into Total Wine to get your ticket validated -- it covers your parking for free! Highly recommend this spot for great food, great service, and a thoughtful team that knows how to make guests feel welcome.

The restaurant was clean, bright, airy, and vibrant, with a trendy atmosphere that we absolutely loved. We started with the cornbread, which had a lovely texture, somewhere between traditional coarse cornbread and a sweeter version. It was tender, delicately baked, and served with delicious butter. I ordered the three-egg omelet, accompanied by a beautiful, fragrant, and refreshing arugula salad that I thoroughly enjoyed. The eggs tasted farm-fresh. My mate enjoyed a full breakfast of beef sausage, bacon, potatoes, over-easy eggs, and a biscuit. The coffee was hot and delicious, and my hot matcha was equally enjoyable. One small tip: specialty drinks ordered from the drink bar may take a little longer to arrive at your table, so keep that in mind. Our server was excellent, and the overall experience was wonderful. We were happy to leave a 25% tip for the great service. Between the delicious food, welcoming atmosphere, and attentive staff, this was an thoroughly enjoyable breakfast.
