Nice place open all day (from lunch through dinner). There are self service kiosks to place take out orders (for dining in it's still with staff at the counter). I came here to get some original recipe crispy chicken wings. They did not disappoint. Made to order (a bit of wait; she said 15 minutes for 8 wings). At least it's a good sign: not pre-made. Since first dining at bb.q chicken a couple of years ago, we have frequently ordered delivery and picked up food from them. I don't know what sorcery they're doing in their kitchen to allow for their food to arrive at my door hot, crispy and delicious consistently but I'm not mad at it. All jokes aside, they'd cardboard packaging with vents is really innovative and sets them apart. The great quality of their products and their service is noticeable and appreciated. This is my new favorite Korean chicken spot! The chicken is incredibly crispy and always comes out piping hot. I've tried a couple of flavors, and while the soy garlic is my favorite, the plain is also good (and the crispiest). I really enjoy the rose deokbokki - it's perfect for anyone who can't handle too much spice but still wants rice cakes. These are the things I've tried over multiple visits: - golden fried chicken - soy garlic fried chicken - honey garlic fried chicken - rose deokbokki - kimchi fried rice - Caribbean spice rice bowl - pickled radish My faves are the fried chicken (all the flavors ive had are sooo good! The golden is a plain flavor but still delicious), the rose deokbokk, and the kimchi fried rice. Everything I've had has been delicious though so you probably can't go wrong. I haven't tried any of the bulgogi or beef options since this place is known for their chicken, but I might someday. An 8 piece wings is a lot of food for one person - especially with some kimchi fried rice shared amongst friends. Hit this place up if you're in the area!! The wings were only okay. We got the galbi and gangjeong flavors. You can tell the wings aren't marinated and it's so much breading. The flavors we got were really light so we just weren't fans. They need to do something to make it less bready and more flavorful. The cheese buldak was so so spicy but it will be good if that is what you like. I was surprised at the large portion size. Wish it came with rice. The cheeseling fries were good. They taste sweet. The corn cheese was okay. It taste like corn with just a whole bunch of cheese melted on top. I've ordered takeout here a couple times when I got marooned in Ballston and was feeling KFC (Korean Fried Chicken) and bb.q definitely hits the spot. The portal is not-Doordash but otherwise it was super easy to schedule pickup. Chicken-wise it's pretty solid - the breading here is crispy and light without being overly oily, and they have plenty of sauce options. Just so I remember later, Gangnam style sounds great on paper but had zero spice as a "spicy sauce", felt mostly sugary. Shoutout to the poutine tho - great drunk food but I don't know why the picture has tater tots when it's just bland frozen fries. My friends and I ordered the chicken in advance (at least 15 minutes before we got there) online and we still had to wait about 10 minutes before we got our order. They have bar seating here facing 4-5 TVs, so we ended up eating our chicken and pickled radish while watching a Men's Singles game for the US Open. The chicken was super crispy, and it was hot and flavorful. I had some of the soy garlic wings here and they really hit the spot. Besides the food, the staff was really nice and hospitable. I've been waiting for the Arlington outpost of bb.q to open for months and am so happy that they've maintained the quality you can find at other locations in the US. We were promptly seated for an early dinner on Saturday night and ordered the fried whole chicken with the secret sauce which is a spiced, sweet sauce. We also ordered fries, which came first and were pretty good but nothing special. The chicken came soon after and was a total of 8 pieces, perfect for two people sharing a meal. We also ordered radish to go with the meal, which turned out to be much needed as it helped to cut the richness of the sweet and crispy chicken. The chicken itself was really well cooked. The insides weren't dry at all and the outside retained its crunch despite being coated in the sauce. Next time, I might get the original and ask for sauce on the side as they seemed to go very heavy on the sauce. If you're doing delivery or takeout, I recommend getting the dry golden original and sauce on the side to avoid the sogginess that will come from being in transit.
