Shrimp katsu udon

This place finally is open! Located upstairs inside of m2m so it is pretty easy to miss from the street unless you're looking for it. The food is a little on the pricey side but the portions are large and I had leftovers after. You self order on a touch screen and then they call your number when the order is ready. You also bus your own dishes. Good spot for a quick bite and the menu has a lot of japanese and korean options. Ordered the chicken katsu curry and the flavor of the curry was perfect! It also came with a side of cabbage that usually comes with katsu. Also ordered the shrimp katsu udon and the flavor was yummy!

Definitely a convenient spot to grab a bite to eat if you're downstairs at M2M shopping or around in the area! You do order and pay on a machine so the process is pretty easy because there are pictures everywhere. I ordered the Tonkatsu Curry plate and it wasn't the cheapest at around $19 but is definitely less pricey than the popular Kobuta & Ookami but that shows in the quality. The curry was watery but the flavor was there. The cabbage salad was my least favorite, not the regular sesame dressing flavor but more of a thousand island style. The pork was juicy and they give a fair portion along with the rice! I look forward to trying more things the next time I come!

Bon is finally open! On the 2nd floor of M2M, this is a great cool place to get food. The menu is extensive with Korean and Japanese food. The portions are hugeeee to justify the prices. The food was made fresh to order and the flavors were spot on. The staff were very kind and helpful. Overall excited to come back!

The food is good and they run really affordable specials for dine in. Unfortunately their seating area has a TV blasting K-POP dance videos at an absurd volume at all times which kind of ruins the eating experience. Edit: they turned the TV down like 2 minutes after I posted this lol so bumping from 3 to 4 stars. Thanks whoever saw this

If you're in the area it's a pretty good place for tonkatsu. The curry had good flavor although it was definitely too thin of a consistency, so I could go without it. The included cabbage salad is refreshing between bites of fried meat!

This is a review of the M2M food court: Bon. Stop by Bon in the m2m food court for some pretty good Korean and Asian food eats in cap hill. Very casual, food court, with average prices in Seattle for Asian foods. I really liked the jajangmyeon and cheese katsu. Food I got the jajangmyeon and overall I liked the flavor of the sauce and the noodles were good and chewy. The sauce had kind of a smoky flavor to it that I haven't noticed at other jjm spots. Only thing I complain about is the small portion size. My friends ordered cheese katsu, cheese katsu don, curry katsu, miso ramen, and takoyaki. Everyone liked their food and would come again if in the area for a quick bite. The cheese katsu was better than the cheese katsu don in my opinion. Atmosphere Open food court that is a decent size but nothing too big like a mall sized food court. Casual and nothing fancy inside. The noise level is not too loud. Pricing Food prices were average for Asian comfort food eats in Seattle. Price was decent for the taste and quantity of food. Service Everything is self serve. Order food at the kiosk and then pick up when you number comes up on the screen. Drop off trays near front. Other Located on the second floor of m2m mart! Signs pointing out the stairs to get up there are pretty clear since right by entrance of the mart. They are closed 2:30pm-4:00pm for break and also ALL DAY Sunday.

Jajangmyeon was really good. Glad I didn't order anything else because it was filling. Auntie at the counter was nice too :) Once you're on the surface from the Capitol Hill light rail station, walk into the m2m grocery store. The 2nd floor restaurant has 2 stairway entrances: north and south. The north one will take you through a long corridor. The south is brighter and closer to the kiosks. It was pretty busy during lunchtime. Lots of tables and chairs. Bus your own table and be mindful of their break time hours. If you're looking for that quick fix between class and studying or need a fast casual place to eat with friends after walking around Cal Anderson Park this is a good spot.

Ambiance: located upstairs inside a grocery store but has a nice seating arrangement that was open. Service: kiosk ordering machine makes it easy Food: I ordered the pork katsu curry which I enjoyed. Juicy, crunchy. The curry seems standard and similar to every other curry place. I have a special love for Japanese curry but this one is passable. The standards are difference once you eat in Japan, right! The jajangmeyon noodle was good too. Pretty standard and won't miss the mark.

Food court style place. Ordered on a kiosk and got the food quick. The portion for the jajang myeon was good for the price and came with complimentary danmuji. It had a nice wok flavor. Good for a quick meal and prices aren't too bad.

Amazing deal (jajangmyeon for $6!). Quick service, fresh and hot noodles. Flavor was also authentic, surprised by the amount of meat! Veggies tasted fresh, black bean sauce didn't feel bitter. Definitely one of the better jajangmyeon I've had, which is impressive considering it's just a small food court above M2M. Ordered on a kiosk, self service water. Lots of seating during lunch time!

A great, convenient spot to grab some familiar and comforting flavors of korean fusion! Located on the second floor of m2m, the food is pretty cheap (~$15) with a decent selection, quick service and self-order kiosk. Lots of places to sit and take a break from Capitol Hill. Can even grab a dessert downstairs at the Tous les Jours :) While not a hidden gem or anything in terms of food, Bon gets the job done and does it well.

Delicious food and amazing service. It's kinda tricky to find the first time. Upstairs in M2M mart.

i ordered the katsu and the kimchi soondubu but they gave me the veggie one instead. the kimchi one was more expensive (14.99) than the veggie one too, so i paid more money for the wrong thing lol but it's fine i guess...it wasnt that flavorful but i still finished it because i was hungry. the katsu was huge, thin and crispy and tasted good with the spicy mayo and katsu sauce. the issue i had was that they gave me sides with my soondubu that had gone bad--i hadn't realized until i ate a little bit of the potato salad and it was sour as hell. i'm an idiot and thought it was some sort of sauce on top of the potato salad but it was pink bacteria LMAO. the tamagoyaki/gyeran-mari in the box also had the same bacteria growing on it and it smelled weird. this put me in such a bad mood and made me so paranoid that i couldn't even finish my katsu :( i went here because it's near my boyfriend's place so it was convenient to get to, but i'm never coming back here again

The Korean pear mixed in adds a lot of great flavor and the seaweed chips it comes with are a really nice touch. The oxtail in the hand rolls were super tender too. For mains we got the Paju fried rice and the 14oz dry aged New York steak. The fried rice had a really nice flavor to it. The steak was definitely a standout since it was very well cooked and super tender. I really liked all the sides that were served with it! Highly recommend this spot if you want a really high quality meal.

I looked up Paju before in South Lake Union nearby my hotel, and was excited to try it. Ended up finding a partner in crime anyway, and headed over close to closing time. Place is dark and modern, although I appreciate the wood oven being front and center. Owner was a little awkward given the timing, however she warmed up to us pretty quick when she said she was going to be in/out as we promised, and did appreciate the food itself. Got the sesame negroni, which was a unique and untraditional way to approach this cocktail. The sesame made it very different, and it remained as strong as I liked. The bugak (almost like a Korean taco with oxtail) was awesome. They were kind of just 2 bites of food each, however what was there exploded with flavor. I could've eaten 5 of these. NY strip was just ok. Didn't get any dry aged flavor from it at all. Not enough seasoning either. Bachan with it--brussel sprouts, kimchi--were tasty though, and the Paju fried rice was awesome. I wish they could put some beef/fish with that and call it a day. One of my favorite fried rice preparation I've had, but hey, I'm a sucker for squid ink. Would definitely come back here next time I'm in Seattle. Next time would sub the steak for the seafood jeon or branzino, however really nice meal otherwise. Compared favorably to other elevated Asian cuisine I've had (Joule in Seattle, Goosefeather in Tarrytown NY, Danji in NYC).

We were greeted warmly by our host, Steven, and seated earlier than our reservation. He and his colleagues was attentive and hospitable through the meal. The steak tartare was excellent with the sweetness of Asian pear paired with the earthiness of beef. The black cod sauce was addicting and balanced between sweet and savory, and the cod was flaky. The hanger steak ssam was blended at the table and had great richness and body with the beef. The sharpness from the cod sauce helped even out the buttery rice. The ginger crème brûlée was unique. The crème delivered the ginger in a bold, but not overpowering way. The caramel sauce and ice cream cooperated with all the flavor. Not too sweet It has been a long time since experiencing an "elevated" Asian meal as corny as it sounds. If you're into internet memes, then the charge is having a succulent Korean meal. Possible improvements: standard size plates instead of tapas style small plates (though I understand heir intent was for family style sharing). Additional table linen or plates to place your utensils because a small plate can't hold a fork, spoon, and chopsticks while you take portions from the main dishes. Conjoined to the paramount hotel, not sure what the parking situation is like since we arrived via light rail. Definitely would recommend if you're in the area.

The dining area that is nearest to reception can get "cold" particularly the corner, we sat there once and your elders will not like it. Today we got seated there again and decided to wait for the other side where the AC wasn't full blast. Its all chill. Friendly, accommodating staff. The food comes fast, like Din Tai Fung. It is set up like a cute korean style bar with small round tables which make sharing easier. They have a pretty good selection on their menu and we ordered a couple of items to share. The Rose Ttoekbokki with cheese was very yummy, but it kinda tasted like pasta with rice cakes instead of spaghetti. I think that is the point of this dish, so if you want a more traditional spicy flavor then get the other ttoekbokki option (spicy rice cakes). We still loved this one and the rice cakes were so chewy and delicious. The cheese corn was very yummy and exactly what you would expect. It pairs perfectly with the other dishes. My friends also shared the Seafood ramen and Beef bulgogi. They liked both dishes. One of our favorite things were the side dishes actually! The tofu was so yummy, and the bean sprouts were so crunchy and well seasoned. We even asked for extra! The only aspect that makes it difficult to come more often is the price point. I was the one saying "hello" first and saying "how are you?" before the cashier said anything. Kind of awkward/standoffish but not a dealbreaker when the food is good. Most recently I had the kimchi jigae, which was relatively spicy, even when I asked for less spicy (and they said they could accommodate). I'd say it was like 2-3 stars. Flavor was great though and it was a decent portion (for $17) and satisfying. Also, a pretty wide range of menu options, despite it being a small place. There were 4 complimentary banchan dishes (napa kimchi, cucumber kimchi, seasoned bean sprouts, and fish cakes). Note that I don't think there are free refills like other places... maybe you can ask but I didn't see anyone doing so. For 1-2 people, it's a relatively generous amount.
