Only been here once on a Friday night and it was fairly empty... which was rather shocking seeing how their Bellevue location is always always crowded. I think I recognize some of the workers who used to work at the Bellevue location. i am very happy with my visit to this location. my friend and i came in at one of the peak times (lunch time around noon) on the worst day - sunday - but we got lucky and only had to wait about 10 minutes to get seated. the inside is small compared to the tukwila and seattle (international district / chinatown) location but it has the best customer service out of all the locations IMO. i was very hesitant coming to this location since it my first time coming to the redmond location and i had just had a horrible experience at the bellevue location. i've only gone to seattle and tukwila locations (i switch between the 2 depending on how busy both locations are) but i was pleasantly surprised coming into the redmond location and will definitely be returning when i can. the staff really made this trip for my friend and i. when we first for in, they had just seated their last table available that was meeting social distancing standards so we had to put our phone number in but the worker, Ruby, was extremely nice. she had explained that we needed to put our number in since they had just seated the last open table. once i put my number in she went out of her way to make sure that i got my text before leaving the building and gave us an ETA on when our table would be ready (15-20 minutes). as soon as we got seated after getting our text that the table is ready and we were ready to order, she came over with a new trainee and was helping her out since it was her first day. she was very patient with the trainee and was going over the items we ordered with the trainee to make sure they correctly put it and making sure it was right with us. once we got our meals, she checked up on us to make sure the soups were good and made sure we refreshments like water cups. she was also very proficient with cashing us out when we were ready to pay. Ruby really made our trip to boiling point and our day. both my friend and i greatly appreciate her hard work during this time and it doesn't go unnoticed. if i could, i would rate customer service 10/5 stars. the food was really great too. both my friend and i got #4 beef with a side of white rice and the complimentary iced black tea upgraded to a large for an extra $1. it is definitely worth the price including the service we got. i highly recommend the redmond location. read more

A normal lunch spot for us since it's near the hubby's work and we never seem to have a problem getting seated because we're usually the first ones there (before the lunch rush). Hot pot always hits the spot especially in this cold weather and we always share the Thai flavor-2 star with side orders of ramen, beef and fish ball (for the little booger). Service is friendly but sometimes you have to flag them down when it gets busy. The only thing that really irritates me is how close some of the tables are. I mean, it's a small place but two inches between the tables is a bit much. All in all, we're glad they opened this location :) read more

The food is good. The price is on the higher side (approx $16-20/person). The wait times can be long. The service is HORRIBLE. Srsly! The service alone can put me in such a lousy mood, it totally takes away from enjoying the good food they have. I'm not talking about slow service or not checking in with our table from time to time. I'm talking about full out rude behavior like walking away from you while in the middle of a conversation because she didn't want to bother explaining why they are giving a table to another same size group that walked in later. Decent food, good location in Redmond, definitely a good place to stop in if you haven't had Hot Pot style cuisine before. My partner and I were getting over colds and didn't feel like cooking. We decided to go looking for a Pho place close by. This location is between my home and office, so its' the perfect place to stop for dinner on the way home. The soup was amazing, but a little different if you're used to a more Americanized Asian-fare you get in the less urban parts of the country. We just moved from Alaska, and there is nothing like this there. We got there a little after 5 P.M. on a weeknight and the place was pretty much empty. The first I noticed was the smell. I think it might be for the filament they use under the hot pot, but it smelled a little like dog's dried kibble and was incredibly off putting. I think it may be just been that the place was empty so you didn't walk in smelling the food. We ordered, and the food came out pretty quick. I ordered mine mild, but still found it to be very spicy. I don't mind spicy, but if the one star spice was making my eyes and nose water I had to wonder what 3 or 5 would have done. There were these crazy flat screen TVs on the walls asking some silly questions or offering silly facts about the restaurant that no one would possibly care about, but as we sat there I ended up memorizing that their punch cards have expiration dates, and the latest they will sit someone is 10:30 p.m. Most comments we read was that it's always a long wait, or extremely busy. I am around this part of Redmond a lot and I have never seen this place very busy. If you're a fan of hot pot I would highly recommend checking it out. If you have never had hot pot at all before, I would also recommend it. I haven't been to other hot pot places before, so I don't have anything else to compare it to. I wouldn't be surprised if I go back, but it's not the highest on my list of places I want to repeat with so many things to try here in Redmond read more

Very rude and pretty unprofessional waitress. One waitress commanded to move our table without our consent. The waitresses are chatting very loudly about after-work activities. The food is still OK. Yet the service has declined since I first visited one year ago. I will give this store one more chance to see if the service has improved. read more

2020-11-29. Current WA state status is no indoor dinning. So, I ordered take-out by calling them. Food ready in 20 minutes. They have a take-out menu. You will get a big bowl of soup and all the ingredients in it, plus a bowl of noddle. Food tasted good. read more

The food here is fresh and tastes like it is good quality. It's a fun experience to have your food served in piping hot cast iron, but the food cooks quickly and keeps cooking. It's too hot to eat right away so it keeps cooking so you end up with over cooked food. read more

Second time here in the redmond location, easier to find a parking than the one in Bellevue location. My friends always prefer to meet at BP for lunch because their menu is simple and easy. And everyone get their own pot with their choice of combination. The lunch order came with a choice of white rice or vermicelli, also it came with your choice of red or green iced tea. I tried the Taiwanese hot pot, this pot don't have the option to pick the spicy level like other hot pot which you can pick from none, mild, medium, very spicy and flaming spicy. The Taiwanese pot is too spicy for me personally. Would stick to my other choices like Korean, beef or creamy milk. read more

If you are starving to death and in the middle of the desert, you still might want to rethink whether or not you waste what little liquid is left in you body for rehydration because chances are good that you'll be filling up your own water glass here. Ordered the house special, one with one star and one with no stars. A very tricky order, but somehow they managed to get it wrong. Had to get out a flare gun to get them back to the table so my daughter could get a milk tea for her too spicy food that they messed up. Told the waitress that she gave me the wrong food, she said literally nothing, so I told her again to make sure she didn't respond. She didn't. I imagine filling the rice bowls with your bare hands probably affects the number of brain cells you have left to process the idea of customer service. I don't imagine this place will last long. I would give less star if I could! My friend end up being sick after eating at this restaurant. Yes, boiling point has a reputation, their Bellevue location try so hard to keep it, however this location is doing whatever they can to ruin it. Their soup taste just like hot water with spice pack--- yes, exactly how you "Cook" instant noodles! So they don't even need to provide us water to drink! Because their soup taste just like water! Not providing water for your customer to drink can't be the "smart" trick to let us buy your milk tea or whatever. I mean, really?? I have not been to a restaurant that don't give their customers water. Now I have. Plus, the question on your tv is the dum-est thing I ever seen. I used to go to the Edmonds location all the time with my family. We to this location after my sister came back from college since it is closer to our new house. Needless to say, I was very disappointed. Location is very small and all the tables were crammed together. All the workers were bumping into people, chairs, and tables, and they were extremely rude. My sister ordered the house special and she found uncooked, pink meat in her dish even though she left the fire on the whole time. 80% of all our hot pots were just cabbage as well. Overall-- really great place to eat on a cold day. The Taiwanese hotpot is one of the spiciest soups I've ever had-- really hit the spot. Unfortunately, there's not a whole lot of meat in the pot and they only have one non-vegetarian appetizer (pork) on the menu. I had the plum juice and it was way too sweet. Promotion was offered on boiling point website for Redmond location (2for1 drink at happy hour 3-6). I asked if I could order the drinks on the promotion and the staff told me I could not because they do not know about this promotion. So I told them that it is on your website and they said it is not a public information so they could not offer the promotion. So I showed them their bp website which shows there is promotion but now the staff says their system is not updated to offer the promotion. The staff started to look pissed and gave me attitude instead of the promotion. After 5-10min of back and forth argument I finally got the offer. I have never seen a restaurant staff argue that much when they did not know about their own promotion. read more

The reason why I only put one star is because their terrible and unfriendly services. If there will be a line in front of you, don't believe they ask you to wait only 20-30mins. We waited for an hour. Some other customers left because boiling points (BP) asked them to wait 30 mins, but when they came back around the time, the waiter told them their name had been removed from the waiting list. During the hour that we waited for a table, I saw two groups of people arguing with the waiter because of this issue. More frustratedly, the place is crowded so you need to share the same table with other customers. I don't mind at the very beginning, but when the waiter came and asked the people next to us whether they were done with their hotspots when there were OBVIOUSLY still a lot of food in it. The people next to me said to the waiter :" this is the second time you asked whether I am all done, would you please not to push me to finish?" And then I heard the waitress left and said in mandarin:" how dare can you mad at me?" I felt really uncomfortable for the all service and the interaction between customers and waiters. I love BP and I've been to the Seattle branch several times. Every time when my friend asks my idea for a meal, I would say BP without thinking. However, I will never go to the Redmond branch anymore. read more

But the reason for me to give this place two star is because they always seems to run out of certain popular menu and the service is pretty terrible. If I'd recommend, Boiling Point in downtown Bellevue is much better than this one even the service is similar. At least Boiling Point in downtown Bellevue almost never run out of stock. read more

Went here this past Friday night after stopping by the Bellevue location just to find out that the wait is 1.5 hours! We called ahead and the restaurant said that there was no wait. When we arrived, the place only had 3 tables occupied -- totally worth the 15-minute drive east! Food: the last time we had boiling point was maybe 4-5 years ago and I don't remember being blown away; that's why we haven't been back. But this time, we absolutely loved our food! I had the miso hotpot and thought that the broth was very flavorful. I didn't even use the dipping sauce that much because it didn't need it. The broth provided ample flavoring for the meat and vegetables. The rice was warm and fluffy (just had to comment on that because...well...rice is bomb). Service: nice and friendly. We had to ask for water a couple of times but it's not their fault because it's hard to tell whether a paper cup is empty or full. They were attentive and helpful when we asked for extra plates or water. Overall, food is good and price was reasonable (~$16 for the bigger hotpot). Will definitely be back! Food was good, but definitely lacked good customer service. As soon as we sat, we expected to get our waters right away but nope, we actually had to grab water ourselves after our food had arrived. Everyone seemed to be moving very very fast as well, so I didn't the chance to ask anyone for water. No water refills. I noticed there were at least 4 workers working on the floor but none was kind enough to walk around refilling waters. Maybe they need to get actual glasses of water so they could see which glasses need refills? I wouldn't expect much service here, our server never checked in on us and we had to flag someone down every time we needed something. So I suggest everyone to do the same! read more
