They have a few preset options you can choose from, and you can customize to change the type of meat. We didn't make any customizations. There are 4 sauce options to add to your own hotpot; we loved the garlic sauces. It ran out, and the waiter brought us more very quickly. We ordered the: Lamb Beef Milk Cream Curry Honey Green Milk Tea Old Time Delight Milk Tea I liked the presentation of the mini woks and personal stove, and the stamped I love BP fishcake, but everything arriving fully cooked would not be my preference for hotpot. More specifically, the meats in the hotpots came out already fully cooked; personally, I would argue that they were already over cooked. Then they relight the pots again, so they get even more cooked. But you can't put the fires out too early, because the pot is already full and you have an extra side of vermicelli to add in (or if you chose rice as your side instead, you could). The milk teas can have their sugar adjusted to either 75/80% or 50%. The 50% is far too sweet still. Tastes extremely fake. The boba balls itself were quite good. There is a decent wait for dinner. We waited around 30-45 minutes after checking in at the iPad. It might've even been longer if you're not vigilant, because instead of calling out our number on the microphone or texting, they asked a group of boys waiting in the store if their number was [our number], and they eagerly said yes! And she almost led them to our table. Luckily, I was inside just checking on the iPad when I happened to overhear. The boys snickered to themselves and almost seemed proud they were about to cut the line. The food is plentiful, and they're generous with refills of soup stock, which is always a plus. If you're not accustomed to spicy food, I'd recommend sticking with the mild option because the spice level can definitely get pretty intense. The Winter Melon drink had a strong flavor, though it was a bit on the sweeter side for my taste, but it still hit the spot. Boiling point is one of those unique restaurants you go to when you want to go to hotpot but your friends all like something different or have dietary restrictions. They have a set list of 10 hotpot's you can select from, as well as a side menu. Their food is good, it's fun to see the flames boiling your food as you eat - and you're ensured a hot meal the entire time. For being hotpot and eating your fill (I almost always have leftovers from here), it's a very reasonable price (being less than $20 each person). And if you go during lunch, you also get some free tea to go along with it! My favorite pot so far has been the cream curry hot pot. The service is fast though, so go ahead and look at the menu before hand so you can make a quick decision. There's a lot of different soups that come with a pre-assortment of ingredients, so you don't have to spend too much time ordering and cooking like in traditional hot pot. They bring the personal wok to you and light the flame, and you can ask to have them put it out anytime you want. I usually don't finish the food and have enough leftovers to take home. I love going to Boiling Point! For the appetizer, I share the spicy cumin lamb with my boyfriend. My favorite is the beef pot and I love getting the fish balls as an add on. I think medium is the perfect spice level for me as someone who loves spice. When I'm craving more intense spice, I get the Taiwanese Spicy pot. It's REALLY spicy, so I don't recommend it to anyone with a low spice tolerance. It was really busy, but we got in pretty quickly since we were a party of 2. Food (1/5): My boyfriend and I both ordered the beef, with medium and mild spicy respectively. The food presentation was very aesthetic, but that was the only good thing. Although I am usually okay with mild at other restaurants, this mild had quite a bit of a kicker. The broth was very very watered down, so the only flavor in the broth (and thus also the food) was the spice. I thought this might be because my spice tolerance isn't the highest, but even my boyfriend who has higher spice tolerance said he couldn't taste depth of flavor. Service (4/5): We got there at around 5:15 pm on a Sunday and was able to sit down in 15 minutes. Ambiance (3/5): There was grease everywhere, and the tables felt a bit sticky. The bathroom was also very dirty. Overall (1.5/5): I used to like Boiling Point, but I've noticed that it has gotten worse this past year at the ID location. I decided to give this location a try, and it disappointed me as well. At both, the food was just so bland, and the restaurants were not very cleanly. Location: It's located near Bellevue Square with other markets and restaurants nearby that can take up the limited number of parking spots. I have been to this plaza before and let's just say, you have to get really lucky with parking when it gets busy. Service and Safety Precaution Measures: I cannot speak about other Boiling Point locations, but this location made me feel safe dining in again. They have an iPad that you add your name to the waiting list and they will text you once your table was ready which is really nice so we didn't have to wait inside. Once your table is ready, they ask you to sanitize your hand before sitting down. Unlike many restaurants, they actually spray and wipe down both the table and chairs. Come try the Milk Cream Curry. It's seriously a game changer. Boiling Point is not your typical hot pot place since it's personal hot pots which come out pre-cooked. You miss out on the fun family vibes which come with cooking and eating a family-sized hot pot with your friends, but I don't really mind since I just love the milk cream curry haha. The milk cream curry is just a good blend of spice and cream for me, and I enjoy pretty much all of the included ingredients (sliced pork, potato, fried tofu skin, napa cabbage, enoki mushroom, and more). I've honestly never ordered any other hot pot option here. The garlic bean paste is also a fantastic dipping sauce. I'll also mention that I actually really like the pudding sweet milk boba drink here. It's very sweet, but for some reason, I like it more than your typical overly-sweet drink from a place like Happy Lemon. Two things to note: 1) The wait is always pretty bad. I feel like I almost always wait like a half hour whenever I come. This is mostly because the restaurant itself is very small. I would recommend getting on the waitlist as soon as possible when you arrive. 2) The spice here is no joke. I would say I have above average spice tolerance and I remember their level 4 (out of 5) was still enjoyable but close to my limit. I usually go with level 3 whenever I come. But yea try the milk cream curry. I think my friend tried beef when he came the first time and was not impressed. I came here on a Monday evening at 6pm and there was no wait for a party of two. There is some parking in the parking lot out front. For those who have been to Boiling Point before, this is just your typical Boiling Point. For those who have never been before (my friend was a first-timer!) it's your personal hot pot. There are different types of toppings varying from beef to lamb to curry. I ordered the beef hot soup ($15.50) in mild spice and it was good. You can choose your spice level but they also have some sauces on the tables that you can put in or use as a dipping sauce. It seems like a lot of food but a lot of it is vegetables and the hot soup will make you feel a lot more full than you are (or am I just a fatty?). The bowl comes with your choice of rice or noodles but the soup also has some noodles already inside. The bowl comes out super hot and they light the flame underneath to let it boil but it's already pretty hot when it comes out so I recommend waiting a couple minutes to let it cool or even pick out some food and put it on your rice (or noodles) to let them cool a bit before eating. Personally I'd much rather spend a little more money for AYCE hot pot because I know I'll be full at the end of it, but Boiling Point is a good place to go for soup on a cold Seattle day. read more

- Lame policy on no-show - I went there as a group of 6, waited forever. Finally it's about our term and a table for 4 is emptied up, so the waiter told me they'll save that table for me. Then they sat the guy after us down to another table of 4 at the side. We're simply waiting for the two groups of two (well, either one of them would work) to finish eating, so all of us can sit down. But nope. After 10 minutes, the group before us showed up and they put them on the table that's suppose to be reserved for us. Why? Because they're ahead of us. What is the stupid policy on no-show? I came here around 5:30 on a Tuesday night and the place was practically empty. I was seated immediately, and as I ate my meal, the restaurant filled up and there was eventually a constant line waiting for a table for the second half of my meal. Boiling Point isn't what I typically think of when I think of hot pot. While your food is served in a hot pot, set on top of an open flame, the food is basically cooked when the pot is set down in front of you. While there are add-ons available to the bowls for an additional cost, they are mostly pre-set. I ordered the mushroom bowl, which was filled with various types of mushrooms and vegetables. The level of spice of the soup can't be changed for this bowl (they only use a vegetable broth) so it only comes with mild (un-spicy) soup. I ended up adding some garlic soy sauce to the bowl to add some flavor, and the bowl was flavorful and filling. I didn't like enough of the bowl options to be intrigued enough to come back, but this would be a good first time experience and introduction to hot pot for those who haven't tried it before. For others like me, you might be better off going somewhere where you can order your items a la carte or finding an AYCE with more options. read more

There always seems to be something bad that happens everytime i go. Its a pretty small location so expect a long wait during peak dinner hours. There is some seats outside with a heat warmer above. That being said these wait times seem wildly inconsistent. 30 minute waits turn into 1 hr waits. Came during 3pm today and they somehow already ran out of vermicelli noodles. They also forgot to give us sauce plates. If service isnt a priority for you then the food itself has been good. Pot is packed with toppings. I've been to Boiling Point many times but recently had my best dining experience at this location! The food here was delicious and it was paired with some great service. I had the spicy cumin lamb appetizer and the Taiwanese spicy. The lamb was surprisingly really good! I usually don't dabble the appetizers here but I'll definitely be getting the lamb every time, it has a delicious sauce that I'm a huge fan of. The Taiwanese spicy is very very spicy. I'd only recommend this to anyone who can actually handle top tier spice. It'll also leave a hurting on your stomach afterwards but it's definitely worth it. The broth flavor is delicious and portion size will definitely fill you up as it's one of the only large options. I love spicy foods and so the Taiwanese spicy is my favorite order on the menu. The service here was much better than most BPs I've been to. They worked fast and water was constantly being refilled. They have a shared parking lot but the spots are really tight so be careful. Because of the standard process, service is quick and efficient, which is especially helpful given the various requests you'll have throughout like more broth and putting out the fire. One of the highlights of Boiling Point is the variety of flavors available, with Milk Cream Curry and Taiwanese Spicy being my personal favorites. Before the hot pot arrives, I combine the delectable garlic, chili, and soy sauces to dip my toppings in. When the patented stovetop arrives and the waiter lights the crystal fire, the alarmingly red broth starts bubbling and cooking ingredients. I dig through an array of meats, veggies, and noodles to compose bites with my chopsticks, and rice serves as an excellent side to sop up the savory flavors. Purely for nostalgia, I keep an eye out for the fish cake embossed with "I Love BP". I also recommend asking for a side of ramen and meat to cook into the soup for an added experiential aspect.
