Before the hot pot arrives, I combine the delectable garlic, chili, and soy sauces to dip my toppings in. When the patented stovetop arrives and the waiter lights the crystal fire, the alarmingly red broth starts bubbling and cooking ingredients. I dig through an array of meats, veggies, and noodles to compose bites with my chopsticks, and rice serves as an excellent side to sop up the savory flavors. Purely for nostalgia, I keep an eye out for the fish cake embossed with "I Love BP". I also recommend asking for a side of ramen and meat to cook into the soup for an added experiential aspect. Busy during weekend lunch hour, but didn't have to wait for a table for 2. The menu is mostly their signature Taiwanese personal hotpot/soup. Got the beef hotpot this time with medium spice. The lunch prices are a little cheaper, and they include a sweet tea (green or red) and choice of noodles or rice. The medium spiciness is enough for me. Definitely spicy but not overwhelmingly so. As for the hotpot itself, portions are decent. Not a lot of beef, but the whole thing was like $15 before tax and tip, so given the price I'm not complaining. We decided to eat here because the other location had a 3 hour wait for a table of two. Our wait here was about 30 minutes around 5pm on a Saturday. Added the name to the wait list and texted when the table was ready. We LOVED the fact that they spray down the table and chairs prior to seating the next customers. As we watched them work, they used one rag to wipe the dirty stuff and another to sanitize. We ordered the house special and the lamb hot pot, total $34.63 (including tax). During our meal, they checked-in about twice to see if we needed more broth and if we were still doing okay. Food was good, the regular size was a good portion for me; I was full. I asked for rice as my side. I felt comfortable eating here because the food in the pot continued boiling for a while so I felt like it was able to kill off anything, if needed. The staff was nice and attentive. The restaurant itself was very clean. I love how all the Boiling Points I have visited are consistent! I usually the curry cream flavor and the cream just add the right balance. My husband usually get the Miso flavor. They are both excellent. Their drinks are great too and I especially like the Old Fashioned tea as that's a flavor you find in Taiwan but don't often find in the standard Boba shop. There is often a long wait at the Bellevue location because it is small and in a highly populated area so be prepared to wait 30 minutes +, but if you have the time, it's worth it! read more

This location is pretty busy during normal meal times. Even busier during meal times on the weekend. You should come here expecting a wait, even if it is a short one. Once you get there, immediately put your name into the machine for it to put you into the queue. You get a ticket or a text with your number on it so you don't have to stand in the tiny entry way that people are squished into or wait outside in the cold. You could sit in your car if you were lucky enough to find a parking space in the small lot out front. With the large amount of customer, the waiters and waitresses are quick to take your order and keep things moving forward. Our waiter knew we had been waiting awhile and offered to give us a nicer table which was a plus. For food, I ended up with the creamed curry one and my boyfriend ordered the japanese one. Both were okay, nothing amazing but definitely consistent with the other locations we had been too. If you like spicy but do not want to be spiced out, I would only do 1 star for the curry one. I like spicy but two stars was over the top for me. Felt past a 3 star spice level to me but that also could have maybe been an "oopsie?" Either way, thought I would mention it. We also waited a long time for our food. Other tables that showed up after us had gotten their food before us. I was not sure if they mixed up our order or the ticket got lost, but that was a little bit concerning. The Black Tea and the Hokkaido milk tea are on the sweet side. Thai Fusion Hot Soup and asked medium spicy. It's a big size for one person. So you can share one pot for two people. Thai Fusion was a good combination of meat and seafood hot pot but crab was so soft, thin legs and couldn't eat it. I love this place and come here almost every Friday with my friends. The personal hot pot has always been consistent and my favorite are Beef and Korean Bean Paste. You can specify the spiciness but mild is plenty for me. You also get iced Black/Green tea and rice/noodles with your meal! The Bellevue location is small so not great for groups and be prepared to wait about 45 minutes for a table. I would not recommend coming here if your group is more than 4. A consistently okay/good experience, but the service could be better. If you're craving hotpot but want to skip the novelty or work of doing it at home/DIY spot like Swish Swish, Boiling Point does the trick. Decently filling portions with a generous array of veggies/greens/meat, and tasty broths. For the price, I'd probably skip on buying additional add-ons. The dipping sauces are delicious as well. I do find the drinks and desserts to be too sweet. This location isn't ideal because of parking when it is busy, and there isn't a ton of other allowed parking around. Due to the small space, there is often a long and disorganized wait. My trick is to stop in the temporary waiting spot, put a name down, and utilize the street parking near Panera and walk back over. Be prepared for a line! Every time I've gone by Boiling Point in Bellevue there is ALWAYS a line outside the door. Such was the case for when we recently came here for dinner. For two of us there was a 20 minute wait. But fortunately, checking in is easy as once you walk inside, you will spot a touch-screen stand, which prints or texts you a ticket number, and shows how many parties are ahead of you. And once the wait is over it just goes uphill from there. The dining space is on the smaller side, but service is very fast and I find that the employees here are friendlier than the International District location. They actually will be responsive with your requests and don't seem annoyed to help you. (Take a hint, I.D.!) The menu is straightforward with different hot pot combinations, a choosing of your side (rice or vermicielli noodles), spice level, with additional items to order like extra protein, appetizers, bubble teas, etc... I ordered the Lamb meal, which was yummy! I can never finish a hot pot by myself and always have leftovers, especially since you can ask for more broth on the house. And when it gets too hot from the boil, you can ask the servers to turn it off or turn it back on! It's a fun dining experience, in addition to it being delicious. The service here is so-so and the wait can get pretty long during lunchtime, especially since this location is much smaller than others. I used to be obsessed with their milk tea here, but it's come to be too sweet for me, even when asking for half sweetness. The black tea is always refreshing and delicious though. I only rated down a star because a few times when ordering to-go, they've forgotten my add on items or to put sauces in the bag. wow wow wow! Your own little personal hot pot bowl that is super instagrammable! This is a basic white girl's absolute dream with the awesome flavor! Look no further if you're looking to pay for a piping hot bowl of delicious hot pot that looks amazing and tastes amazing! My friend had the house special and I had the beef at medium spicy. The medium spicy was quite good enough for me. Left a fiery taste in my mouth and belly. Its the good kinda warm that makes you sleepy and content! They have a variety of sauces such as hoison, garlic soy sauce, bean sauce, and the hot chili. All were good except the hot chili (which I was super sad about). The hot chili was just oil and none of those spicy flakes I want or peanuts. It was all oil with spice and no taste (a bit disappointing, was just off). Now on to the main event, the hot pot! Word of advice, take some time to let it cook and stew a bit. It tasted bland at first but that was mainly because I didn't let it stew (was so hungry! but trust me, its worth to wait a bit). I had the noodles instead of the rice, excellent choice since you throw it in your soup and it soaks up all that awesome flavor. The hot pot itself was deliciously flavorful, full of meat, and had a good balance of meat and veggies. I didn't feel like they were skimping out or were using low-quality ingredients. Everything was quite excellent. The house special can be a bit strong for people since it has fermented tofu (has that distinct "stinky" taste to it) so if you haven't had it before, I would advise against getting it (I don't mind it). We finished up with a Hokkaido milk tea. Absolutely phenomenal! Many boba places have meh boba, but they had really nice sweat boba. Its worth it to get Hokkaido in my opinion since they add cream on top which makes it taste quite nice and sweet. My advice, come during lunch when its cheaper. Try to arrive early since the line is brutal and your entire party needs to be here. Seating is limited so large parties have a really tough time getting seated. First time trying Boiling Point in a different state for me and I'm glad it tastes the exact same!! It might even taste better because of the cold weather in Seattle. I mean...who doesn't want hot soup on a cold day? Everything about this location has a common theme: tiny. The parking lot is tiny. The parking stalls are tiny. Even the restaurant is tiny. I don't recall going to a Boiling Point that was this small. It's pretty cozy inside and I would estimate it only fitting about 40 people or so. Regardless of the size of the restaurant, the food is the same as the locations in SoCal. The menu is the same and I always stick to the house special hot pot. Who doesn't love stinky tofu?! The wait wasn't that bad for this Boiling Point but maybe because it was a weekday night. They changed their waitlist method with their swanky new iPad. You can tell them to text you or you can get a little receipt that holds your place in line. It's a good change if you ask me!
