After many years of going to the same hotpot location, I finally decided to try something new! This place only allows for all-you-can-eat packages due to the setup, but it was pretty reasonable with their options and selection. Make sure to go hungry! The service was good, and all meat orders had to go through them. Everything else was at a buffet bar. They also had a sauce bar and other cooked food available in addition to the hotpot. I like how we can eat at our pace, and go up to the ingredients bar whenever we would like. Definitely worth a visit! Pro-tip, even if you like spicy, note that the broth is VERY spicy. We got spice level 1 and that had plenty of chili for our group.

    - new self serve bar! - Food: 4 stars Price: 2 stars Service: 3 atars Ambiance: 3 stars Overall: 3 stars I haven't been here for far too long, and I was surprised that they changed their business model. They are primarily all-you-can-eat now and you can order 5 types of meat from the server. You can also order fried pork, lamb/beef skewers, and glutinous rice cake with brown sugar for the regular option (you have to pick the premium AYCE if you want high-end meat like Australian/American wagyu or seafood like crab legs or oyster. It's about an extra $20 on top). We picked the regular option and chose the spicy house special soup with the highest spicy level (3 pepper icons on the menu) and the signature pork tripe with black pepper and chicken soup base. The server was like "are you sure about that?" after I told him we want the super spicy option lol. He probably thought we are insane.. I never touched that side of the pot, but one of our friends was constantly sweating and they all said it was spicy. There are 3 areas where you can get your food, the self-serve ingredients bar, the sauce bar, and the snacks bar. The snacks bar was hidden at the side, and the egg rolls that I got were cold. There are sesame balls, shrimp crackers (蝦片)and other stuff too. I like the self-serve area since you can get most of your ingredients on your own, including crown daisy, shrimp paste, mussels, squid, shrimps, bamboo shoots, seaweed knots, taro, potato, quail eggs, lotus roots, mushrooms, noodles, etc (around 35 options here). Since we have no clue what meat was good, we ordered one of each for the 4 of us and those were the only meat we ordered, along with the skewers and the fried pork. We almost finished all the meat, but the friend with a big appetite was focusing on mussels instead. The sauce bar is pretty standard, it has 3 side dishes/appetizers, 2 kinda of fruit (orange and cantaloupe when I was there), 2 kinda of dessert (mung bean soup and jelly/liangfen 涼粉). There also teach you how to make some sauces on the wall as well, with information on what sauce is good for spicy/non-spicy/all soup base. Thee sesame sauce for spicy soup was a life changer since the it helped coping with spiciness for my friends. We dined for almost 2 hours and we were super full. I made a reservation the night before, and picked the last time slot available that's close to dinner time (5:15pm). We were late by 5 minutes, but they gave us a seat right away. The restaurant was about 20% full in the main dining area, and it was around 85% full when we left. There were also 3-4 groups waiting when we left around 7pm. The price was a bit high for me, and I think it's slightly higher than happy lamb. I don't feel there is a significant difference between the quality of meat/food between the two places. However, I like the option of taking your own ingredients instead of waiting for them to bring it to you... It's more fun lol. My friends were constantly appreciating the food and how yummy it was, so it's worth it still. I read that the premium upgrade isn't worth it, but I can't comment on it without ordering it. However if you are a big mussels/shrimp person, the regular option is good enough without losing an extra $20 per person.

    Abhinav S.

Broth is extremely bland, and has no flavor. Please see how happy lamb makes it. Pretty much every broth of happy lamb is full of flavor. Meat cuts were good, service was fast. But it felt like eating meat cooked in plain water. That broke the experience for me.

Very solid place for AYCE hot pot. You can choose between the regular or premium course and can order 3 rounds (similarly to other AYCE hot pot). Sauce bar was included with the AYCE price and kept very clean and they had their own recommended sauce recipe that you can try. We ordered the spicy broth (level 1) and golden chicken. Both broths had a okay flavor to them, didn't taste watery in my opinion but I couldn't really taste a strong flavor. I thought the broth wasn't spicy at all but my boyfriend did so be warned if you get that and have a lower spice tolerance. We also got the premium set and I was very impressed with the selection and quality of the meats. I think we tried almost all of the meat that was available and all of them were very tender. A lot of variety for the veggies and tofu and other add ins. I also thought the seafood platter was incredible, with crab, scallops, mussels, abalone, and shrimp. I think I will just stick with the meats though as the seafood was hard to eat in hot pot. There is a chance that you have to share a table with another group. Or if you are going in a bigger group then there should be lots of space for your entire group to sit. Service was very efficient as they brought out items pretty quickly. I find the taste and quality of Liuyishou hot pot to be better than other AYCE options in the area, so this may be my preferred place.

Delicious AYCE hot pot spot! High quality meats and flavorful broths! Parking is super convenient because they have a parking lot. Ambiance is nice and clean. Sauce bar was well maintained. My husband and I indulged in their premium wagyu and seafood AYCE hot pot and there were so many items to choose from! We got the split broth - tomato and their spicy broth which were both very tasty! I was really happy that the premium included their sauce bar and all-you-can drink beverages which were noted on the menu. Sauce bar had a nice variety and they also had ice jelly! SO GOOD! I was pretty obsessed with their wagyu items. Everything was such good quality! Their beef skewers were also really tasty and flavorful and I really enjoyed their noodles that went well with the hot pot. Overall, this spot is one of our top spots for hot pot! We really love them and service was so friendly and efficient! Highly recommend!

Food quality is amazing - I love the fish 黑鱼片 and shrimp balls (虾滑)in my hot pot. I brought my kids who both loved the tomato base soup. Super kids friendly. We also ordered the mushroom based soup, which tasted fresh and delicious. I did not feel thirsty after my meal which is the way I know there was not much MSG or additives in the soup. Price is very reasonable considering the food quality.

Came here for lunch on a Friday and got the $20 lunch special (and added the sauce and side bar for $3 more). This was an amazing deal for the amount of food provided, as you get beef, lamb, mushrooms, veggies, noodles, seafood, and more. I came with two other people so not sure if you're only limited to one broth if by yourself, but we ended up sharing the pork bone broth and the Liu's famous spicy broth. Both were excellent and paired well with the fresh ingredients. Overall a very satisfying and good value lunch!

Great spot in Bellevue for hot pot! You can choose between AYCE and a la carte. AYCE is $35 for lunch and $40 for dinner and weekends which is comparable to other hot pot places. The restaurant is spacious with a good size parking lot. They offer a variety of meat, seafood, vegetables and noodles. The sauce bar is also free with the AYCE option which also offers some apps and desserts! My favorite was the thinly sliced meat that they slice at the kitchen window when you order. The soups are also flavorful without being too oily

Hot pot was a great idea on the cold night that I went, however I was sad that this restaurant took the place of Noble Court which was one of my favorite places for dim sum. In any case, we went around 8:30pm so it wasn't crowded and we were seated right away. They have an all you can eat option but chose the a la carte option this time. The menu had good clear pictures and it was easy to order, and the service and food delivery were super quick. I think they have a good variety of meats, veggies and more plus a side bar with other side dishes and desserts. All of the food tastes fresh and delicious and I would definitely go back for the all you can eat option.

    Bring on the meats!

Liuyishou Hotpot is a solid spot for hot pot around Bellevue, especially if you're looking for an all-you-can-eat option around town. We enjoyed coming here for lunch with friends as there were plenty of options and the employees were friendly. We made reservations for the six of us, which you can easily do online through Google. We visited on a Saturday at lunch time and the place wasn't too busy, but there was a good amount of people dining in. Therefore, if you're planning to feast with a group, make reservations. You'll be seated immediately. The space is located off of 140th across the Safeway shopping plaza, so is easy to find. This used to be an old dim sum place, but they've done a great job renovating the space, making it modern and spacious. For the six of us, we were seated in a large booth and shared one hot pot, with two flavors. My partner and I chose the golden chicken broth while our friends had the pork bone one. For the AYCE option on weekends, its about $40, which seems like a standard price for AYCE hot pot and comparable to another AYCE hot pot spot nearby. You get plenty to choose from, with different proteins, veggies and starches. With the hot pot, you also get free range of the sauce bar where you can make your own dipping sauce for the meat, and they have small plate items, like appetizers and fruit. You'll have to ask the staff for the strawberry ice cream when you're ready for dessert. Highlights for me were the thinly sliced beef, fried rice, fresh tofu and napa cabbage. But most importantly, the golden chicken broth was the best part - as it should be. It had a lot of flavor for the goods to soak in. I would get this broth again even though there is a good variety of different broths to choose from. All in all, Liuyishou is definitely an option if you want AYCE hot pot in Bellevue.

The food was good and the wait was not bad. I wanted the ring of meat which I did not know was not all you can eat and I came there for the all you can eat so will want to try it next time!! Did not know if you are a smaller party though you share the table with another small party which is fine but a warning before being seated would have been good to know!! Will stick to their non spicy soup bases though because even with one spice the spicy soup base was indeed very spicy for my low spice tolerance!! The pork belly and sliced beef were my favorite. Love their fresh mango juice and the pitcher it comes in.

This is a catch-up review to remind myself I have eaten here before. :) When I went, it was not all you can eat format, which I like a lot! I enjoy over-ordering and taking home my leftovers. I am disappointed that they switched to AYCE. The place is well-layout. The food is the right portion for the individual dishes and cost. We tried many items, and they let us take home the leftovers. It was AWESOME. Anyway, we ordered: Liu's House Special Soup Base House Special Pork Bone Soup Base Sauce Bar for two people Liu's Beef & Lamb Platter Seafood Platter (small) Signature Tofu Skin (small) Wintermelon (small) Hand-Made Noodle Honestly, we enjoyed all our food. The soup is what makes the difference doing a hotpot, and we like both of ours. We took our sweet time enjoying the food. It was more expensive to order a la carte vs the AYCE pricing now, but we also took home plenty of leftovers including the soup!

Shared pot, split up in three ways. You still share the different broths.

First time trying hot pot, which is similar to Japanese shabu shabu. Stop by here the other night with another family to do Chinese hot pot. Similar feel to a Japanese Shabu place, but the broth are definitely different. In addition, the meats or à la cart, as well as all the other items. The beef was on par with other Shabu places, but I thought the fish was a little bit on the frozen side and took longer to cook. Do be aware that you share a giant pot that can be divided into three but overall you are really sharing and don't have your individual pots. Overall a very pleasant experience and will definitely try it next time again.

I've come for both lunch and dinner, usually shortly after they open, and never had to wait. Just looking at the crowd, you can tell this is an authentic place. As someone who travels to China frequently, this restaurant definitely meets my expectations. The Hunan-style spicy dishes really satisfy my craving for bold heat and flavor. I've tried the stone pot spicy tofu with meatballs, 梅菜扣肉 (braised pork with preserved vegetables), spicy lamb, stone pot black pepper beef, stinky tofu, and the fried oyster mushrooms. I loved all of them. These are the kind of dishes where you can easily finish a big bowl of rice--and still want more even when your belly is already full. I'll definitely be back to try more dishes. Service was prompt, and one small detail really stood out to me: during my first visit, they actually replenished the napkins mid-meal. With spicy food and the inevitable runny nose, that level of thoughtfulness is appreciated!

I'm also a fan of the 沸腾鱼 here (not sure what the English name is), which was one of my favorite dishes from childhood that is really, really hard to find done right outside of the Bay Area. Would rather go to Diamond Bay, Tasty Szechuan, Royal Kitchen, (can see why they're busy and packed on a holiday weekday night and Sun Sui Wah is not) Went here for dinner for my grandma's 89th birthday with a party of 9 at 7pm. We ordered dishes typical of a 10 course meal including crab, Peking duck, live fish, rice, noodles, veggies, seafood, etc. The food was really good and didn't take too long to come out. Everything tasted good and we were all enjoying the family meal together and that's why I am giving 1 star because we will not be coming back. The service was absolutely horrible; ruined our dinner and wasted an extra 1-1.5hr of everybody's time. There was only 2 other tables in the restaurant and the servers started having dinner together at a table instead of working. I would understand if we were high maintenance customers or were giving them attitude but we did not. My cousin and I have both been FOH and BOH staff so we try to be understanding and patient when it comes to service especially coming from a Chinese background too. However, we asked for water several times, they never refilled anyone's water or the tea even once at this point it was end of dinner and 5 out of the 6 of us had completely empty glasses for about 30 minutes. We finally got water when we signaled to the Busser and he went to tell the same server again. We finished eating and decided to pay first so my grandma wouldn't try to pay. We tipped 18% off the bill since we were a large party and I wasn't about to punish all the workers for some water but what happened after made everything much worse. We asked for togo boxes and the server lady just dropped them off stared at our table and left. I was already wondering why she was seeming to be upset but seems like we were interrupting their dinner because 3 or 4 chinese servers were eating together at the table at the front when my sister's boyfriend went to pay. (That's why we didnt have water) I don't mind the workers needing to eat because I have been in their shoes before but please provide some service if you still have customers inside the restaurant waving at you. We wanted to leave just as much as they probabaly wanted to close at 10 pm(it was around 830ish now) We noticed that the cake they had been holding for us in the fridge was just sitting at another table in the restaurant. They saw us go grab it ourselves. We packed all the leftovers and started putting our dirty dishes and stuff onto the table because the workers were doing nothing. They saw that we were done but didn't want to stop their 8:30pm dinner I guess. Finally we asked them to bring us plates and clear the table. I have never had to ask the Chinese servers at any restaurant to clear the table before dessert, normally they do it for you, especially after you just tipped them almost $100 lol. The Chinese servers sent the bus boy to clear our table and guess what returned to their dinner! We again asked them for plates for the cake. It took so long to the point my sister missed picking up her prescription at 9pm. Not sure if the dim sum service is better but I'm pretty sure those 5 star service reviews are from the chinese servers' friends and/or family. Or the servers are taught to do nothing besides get the order and drop it off. Unfortunaly we will not be spending money at this establishment again because of the service and will be telling our family and friends in Issaquah and Bellevue to choose better places for sit down family meals. Hope others enjoy their meals because the food is still good

Huge servings of shrimp and it was cooked without soy sauce being added so you could add it to taste. The sweet-and-sour pork was a generous portion, and I had a side of rice with it. It was flavorful and sweet and the pork was not overcooked. Great job. Also got an order of honey walnut shrimp. Generous sized prawns were used and they were delicious. We ordered a few dishes, including the honey walnut shrimp (which is my go-to order at any Asian restaurant), salt and pepper squid, house special vermicelli noodles, and Chinese broccoli. The vermicelli was a clear noodle dish loaded with different proteins like BBQ pork, squid, and shrimp. Everything had great flavor, but my absolute favorite was definitely the honey walnut shrimp. It was perfectly crispy and delicious. My only complaint is the portion size for the price, it was about $21 for roughly 10 pieces of shrimp, which felt pretty expensive. Overall, the portions were on the smaller side for what you're paying. Toward the end of the meal, they treated us to a complimentary papaya soup, which was a light, fruit-based dessert soup and a really nice way to finish. Our total came out to about $80, so it's definitely on the pricier side for Chinese food. That said, the food was delicious, the service was great, and if you're in the Bellevue area, I'd still recommend stopping by.

CHECK your bill here!!!!!!!!…read more We took our daughters from out of town for Sunday dim sum. Longtime family tradition!! And while we have often gone to the CID In Seattle, for many years and almost exclusively in recent years we have gone here and the previous business at the same location. I highly recommend this place and in my opinion the staff is usually always fantastic and they bring the food fast!! Today the service and food was fantastic and ordered so much it almost didn't fit on a 4 top table. We love leftover dim sum! But at the end of the meal they brought me the completed card with a total at the bottom. Didn't look beyond the total before tip and just gave the nice (very young) hostess my card. A server brought back just the two credit card slips and the price was seemingly $20 more than what was presented to me on the service card!?? I politely asked to see the bill again and then a longhgggh wait...... Then a heavily altered card was brought back showing the new total. I was not happy suddenly and asked why it was altered from the first one etc and a big argument from the server began that I didn't proliferate but she kept on and on and could not explain why all the changes by pen and saying that she was honest etc. insisting we "do the math" over and over Now we may have ordered that much food, but I know for a fact that the bill was clean written without alterations and $20 less than the corrected one. But still she couldn't give me a valid explanation for the changes and new total. In my opinion the high school age hostess made a mistake adding up before presenting the total to me and someone else edited it before running my card. If they had just admitted that I would not have been so disappointed. I don't believe that the staff here are dishonest and understand about mistakes but they did not handle it very diplomatically and it was a scene I didn't want to make. But I know that this was not the total presented to me for payment! Take a pic of your service card before sending the credit card to be run!!! It absolutely ruined our family outing and everyone was quiet in the car ride home. Not cool!!

It is a little on the salty side, though. They also have a few vegetarian options, and my lunch buddy had the vegetarian 99 noodle with fried tofu and really enjoyed it. The scallion pancakes here are flaky perfection, and the cucumber salad is a fresh, garlicky, great choice for a starter. Service here is excellent whether you speak Mandarin or not. Highly recommend!

From the moment you walk in, the cultural atmosphere stands out--many of the patrons are Asian, and on my visit, a few were even dressed in traditional garments, which added a vibrant, lived-in feel to the space. It's the kind of detail you can't manufacture, and it speaks volumes about the restaurant's credibility within the community. The interior itself is fairly average--nothing particularly modern or upscale--but it doesn't detract from the experience. If anything, it keeps the focus where it belongs: on the food. Service was a bit of a mixed bag. There were only two servers handling the floor, and they were clearly stretched thin. Ordering is done digitally, which helps streamline things, but you can still feel the strain during peak times. That said, the food started arriving quickly--our tofu noodle dish came out almost immediately, while the beef dish lagged behind a bit. Presentation leans traditional in a charming way. The plates and chopsticks have that classic, no-frills aesthetic that complements the overall vibe of the restaurant. Now, let's talk about the food. First, a word of caution: spice levels here are no joke. If you're sensitive to heat, you'll want to dial it down. But if you can handle it, the flavors are absolutely worth it--rich, bold, and deeply satisfying. The tofu was exceptionally soft, almost silky, and clearly freshly prepared. The noodles matched that texture perfectly--tender, well-cooked, and comforting. Pricing is another strong point. For the quality and portion sizes, it's very reasonable, making it an easy spot to revisit without hesitation. Overall, Nine Noodles is a great pick if you're looking for authentic flavors, a culturally immersive atmosphere, and solid value. It's not about fancy decor or polished service--it's about good, honest food. I'd definitely come back.

The beef noodle has a good kick but not overwhelming, you can still taste the flavorful beef broth. The noodles had a great chew. The kids had the pork noodles and that was also very delicious. 2 self ordering kiosks, most items had pictures which makes it easier to order. The gentleman behind the counter was really nice and helped me answer some questions regarding the menu. The space is nice and clean, shares the bathroom with Snowy Village. They also had homemade peach tea which was complimentary! Overall amazing experience. Kid friendly with kid bowls.

It's fairly small and there was no wait on a Saturday around 6:20 PM, but the tables filled up quickly with a bit of a short wait afterwards. Liang Pi (Cold Noodles): All in all a solid rendition and a generous portion size, but I wanted all the flavors to be punchier / turned up a notch. Looking for more spice and more tang. Great mix of textures though. Spicy Cumin Lamb Noodle Soup: The noodles in themselves are really fantastic: super chewy in a satisfying way. The lamb could be a bit more tender, but the soup is nice and hearty for a cold day.
