Regarding staff that were working between the hours of 3pm-3:35pm on 3/11/26... Came here to dine alone for the first time. I used to dine at this particular location frequently. Thought it would be a nice experience but it ended up being the total opposite. With it being a Wednesday, it wasn't as busy as it normally would be. My order was taken right away and the food came out quickly. After a good 20-30 minutes went by, I noticed that my server never came to check on me. Never asked me if everything was ok, or whether I needed a drink refill/ basic customer needs. All of the servers seemed to be too busy chit chatting amongst each other. When I was done eating, I had to go up to the counter because the server never brought over the bill. When I questioned why no one came to check on me during the entire duration of my dining experience, I was given the most insincere apology. This is exactly why AI is slowly taking over. No one wants to do the job that they were actually hired to do! Please hire staff that are actually willing to provide customer service in your establishment. The food here is good but god damnnnn I wish the manager would hire more hosts and wait staff per shift. Having just 3 people to man and juggle the store is crazy especially knowing how busy this location gets. There's been so many times where there's a ton of open tables that need to be cleaned with a line piling up outside; however, the staff is busy waiting on other guests to even have time to clean and seat more people and keep this flow going. The staff themselves are nice-- got a good crew of youngins trying their best to keep up with the rush & have good customer service. But honestly it's management that needs to figure this shit out. When I used to live nearby, this Boiling Point was very easy to dine in at. The service here is always on point, and the staff always took good care to refill our waters and check on us. The restrooms are clean. The inside is dimlove you lit but your eyes adjust quickly. Also, the tables are close to one another so be ready to knock elbows with your neighbor. Typically, I would order either the milk cream curry or the lamb hot pot. Rarely do need to add anything additional because the toppings are already plentiful. For one person, the serving size is just right for me. Overall, I always leave stuffed and satisfied. Downside is this parking lot shares with other popular restaurants and anchor stores like 99 Ranch & Daiso. Parking can be a hassle if you're in a rush and hungry. read more

Hmm, not really sure what the hype is around BP. This is my second time and I was trying to give it another shot. I love hotpot but BP didn't really hit for me. Wait was quite long so you know this is a popular hotpot spot. I wanted the lamb hotpot but was super sad that they ran out of lamb meat...how do you run out of lamb meat? There's a 99 ranch market across the plaza. Jk but really, I was quite disappointed. The waiter offered to replace it with any other type of protein. Since my bf ordered the beef hotpot, I opted for the pork in my lamb broth. To my dismay, the pork was tough and chewy. It was cut too thick and I personally think that when they serve it already cooked in the hotpot, I think the meat became overcooked. My preference is probably hotpots that allow you to cook your own veggies and meat. That way, it ensures that it's cooked to your liking. I also dislike that every pot comes with different ingredients - I found that I wanted something from the beef hotpot and the lamb hotpot, so maybe BP just isn't the place for me since they don't allow customizations. Came here with a friend around 12pm on a Friday and after waiting around 20-30 min, we got seated. I got a Milk Cream Curry pot and it was perfect with the winter weather coming! Very creamy, love the meat, cabbage, and fish balls unique to this pot. Service was quick and was around once we wanted to put our flame out, ask for cups of water, or for the bill. I also tried their new upgrade on the complimentary rice to a beef bowl, which was a great compliment! The sauces are always good, I love the garlic soy sauce and paste. Glad to try another location of Boiling Point. This time in Artesia. Parking lot is pretty big. It's in the same plaza as the 99 Ranch, but it's on the left side of Boba Time. If there is a waitlist, then you can enter your name and party size. Menu is on the QR code hanging under the table. The hot pots are solid. My go-to is beef and not spicy. I think mild is pretty spicy because of the chili oil. You can always add your own chili oil that they have at each table. It's pretty spicy. I tried the special rice they offer with scallion gravy. It has fried garlic so it tastes better, but I don't think I would get it again. At my time of visit on June 1, they gave us the dragon fruit jello instead of the one with the chia seeds! read more

Sandwiched between lees sandwich and a newly opened Mexican eatery. Boiling point here is quite big. Firstly, the menu is scannable through their little square QR code that can be extended out for you to scan. And the canvas with the large photos helps as well. The beef, lamb, house special pots are top 3. I went for the Taiwan spicy this time and wish it can be measured by the levels of 1-8, but it's only fixed to flaming spicy. Thanks to Jewel and Alyssa for getting our table what we need and seemed like they are boiling points employees of the month .. Although there was a slow in rotating tables and getting some water or soup services. Alyssa did an amazing job filling up the rounds of people of the broth and water. Tonight's experience at Boiling Point was beyond frustrating. the level of incompetence from the staff--especially so close to closing--was absolutely unacceptable. We ran low on bean paste and politely asked the staff member if it could be refilled. He just stared at us for several seconds--literally said nothing and did nothing--until someone in our group repeated the request. Only then did he even start to move. That kind of indifference is baffling. Later, we asked that same guy to light the burner for our hot pot, and instead of helping, he told us to ask someone else. What?! Why is that not something he can do? We're sitting at a table, trying to eat, and now it's on us to hunt down another staff member to get our food heated? Luckily he took initiative and went to grab the lighter. Then they kept bringing dishes to our table and just dropping them off without lighting the burner. No explanation. No follow-up. They would just disappear before we could even say anything. There was also a tall girl on staff who spoke so softly that we literally couldn't hear her twice. The food quality is consistent with other BP locations. It was very yummy with all the goodies it says it has on the menu. It comes with your choice of noodles or rice. The noodles is a dried clear noodle packet and you have to put it in your pot to cook. I opted for the rice since there are vermicelli noodles in the pot with most options. I wasn't too thrilled with the service, I thought they spoke too loud, because 2 tables down you can hear her say "you can't really share, they're made for 1". I thought that was rude. Plus they didn't check up on us, only when they delivered the food and then gave us our check. So I'll probably go to other locations than this one. ADVICE!! If you get separate checks, double check your bill! The tip is based off the original check. So basically my friend and I paid double tip because we just checked the box. As long as you come in expecting to wait 1-1.5hours, this location is still good. Taiwanese hotpot here was good. Service was fine, just busy, meaning you do have to flag someone down everytime you need something. I love to mix the soy garlic and soybean sauce to dip all the veggies and meat in. It's my first time at this specific location and unfortunately the service was lackluster and everyone working did the absolute minimum. There are a good amount of people working but it's so hard to get anyone's attention for anything. Ended up going up to the front to pay and get a togo box. It's my first time eating at a boiling point where no one gave us water/green tea until we followed up after our food came out, no one came by to ask if we wanted more soup or the fire turned off. I've heard of the great phenomenon that is Boiling Point, Boiling Pot, Hot Pit, etc throughout the years. I know about them, I know their locations, and I've had home cooked version of all of them, from the Cambodian version to the Japanese Sukiyaki to the Chinese Hot Pot. But, I've yet to visit a location in person and try them out. Then one day, a good friend of mines invited us to meet up and try this Boiling Point establishment out in Artesia, CA. Conveniently tucked on Pioneer Blvd about 2-3mins drive from the 91 freeway, you can here pretty easy. Parking is shared among other local and nearby shopping and eateries as well. A giant sign "BOILING POINT" can be seen from the street and even the parking lot. You can't miss this establishment. Once at the entrance, you'll be greeted with a wall of menu in bright big posters/boards laminated on the wall in front of the entrance once you're inside. A clipboard to write down your name and numbers in your party. At the time, their check-in/iPad was not working. The wait was roughly 10-15 mins. Once they called your name/party, the awesome waiter/waitress will seat you and offer you a menu and drinks order. What I count is about 13-14 tables seating anywhere from 4-6. I think with individualized hot pot stations, more than 4 to a table is already tight and squeezing more seat is just uncomfortable. We got our drinks and then proceeded to order the plentiful selection of types of soup, intensity of spice and additional carbs to go with it (rice or noodles). Here wereour selections: : House Special Hot Pot (w/ Noodles) : Korean Bean Paste Hot Soup (w/ Noodles) : Beef Hot Soup (w/ Noodles) : Sides: Fermented Tofu : Sides: Garlic Porkbelly The soups were so full of flavor and very very tasty. You cannot go wrong on any of the selections. My favorite has to be the Korean Bean Paste. The sides were also great as well. Interesting taste on the Fermented Tofu; tastebud excitement is warned--it is not for everyone. However, the Garlic Porkbelly is very tasty and has your typical Korean style Porkbelly texture to it. It can be eaten solely or added to the soup for further flavoring. You can't go wrong on either. Next time, we'll try the other flavors. For now, I'm recommending this place to everyone wanting to try a warm and delicious soup with additional sides. read more

The price. It is $20 for the small and $25 for the bigger one. They made rice unlimited but let's be honest, no one is celebrating that. AYCE KBBQs are the same price. Grant it, its different but KBBQ does offer some type of soup. I stopped eating here about 2 years ago because when my GF and I would see the bill, it is over $60 before tip. Once they serve your food they will never come to you to ask if you need anything else. My friend mentioned this place was close to her house and she tended to like it maybe a little more than Red Flame. She suggested we go here before we attended a BLACKPINK concert this past Sunday. It's in the same plaza with other food places. Depending on when you get there, you could find a spot without much issue or you might have to look around for a spot. We planned to meet more friends there around 4:30 PM and found a spot without much issue. Our friends put our names on the waitlist before we got there and we waited about 10-15 minutes before they seated us. (We noticed there were some available tables but I'm guessing the restaurant was very short-staffed.) Once seated, we actually had to flag down a waiter to take our order. He seemed a little nervous, but I sense it was because he was new. (He had a uniform shirt on with the word trainee across the front.) Similar to Red Flame, I ordered the beef hot pot. Food took maybe 7-9 minutes. My friend ordered a winter melon drink without ice and unfortunately had to have it fixed as it came with ice. Like Red Flame, the hot pot dishes come on their own stoves. Mine was very hot and eventually I had to have the flame extinguished early on, as the broth was starting to jump up and boil violently. (Some it hit my arm - thankfully it wasn't too hot to burn my arm yet.) The flavors were good though. Unfortunately, the dish didn't sit well with my stomach as I experienced nausea the next day.
