My go to hot pot spot in Artesia, no contest. Swung by after a friend kept talking about their Individual Hot Pot Personal Hot Pot and now I get why they're obsessed. The House Special Hot Soup is the move - rich, super aromatic, that stinky tofu hits you in the best way, layered savory flavor in every bite. Broth is crazy comforting but still exciting, and they literally give you unlimited broth refills, so you're just sitting there happily cooking and slurping away :) Portion sizes are legit, I never leave feeling shorted. Perfect anytime you're craving hot pot - solo, with a friend, quick casual meal, whatever. Staff is chill, keeps refills coming, doesn't hover. Plentiful, tasty, and consistent... this spot just quietly does everything right.

Always order the #4 Beef Hot Pot, spice level hot. Used to get level spicy. Food quality has been generally consistent over the years, which has been pleasant. Only let down related to the food is the broth not being as flavorful in the nighttime. By nighttime I mean before closing. Customer service is overall pretty good here, especially when it's within the first couple hours of being open. This location is pretty close to home and I've visited during both weekends and weekdays. My preference is to come during lunch hours (11-3 daily) because they give you a drink alongside your meal. Price is worth it too. Interior is generally clean and bigger than their location in GG, which is nice. I'd consider this a favorite restaurant of mine. They get pretty busy and wait could be a little long, but it goes by fast-ish during lunch hours. Shoutout to Jewel, by the way! She is really kind, hardworking, and always has a smile on her face, no matter how busy she is. Just wanted to give her recognition.

My local spot for when I'm craving hot pot! I usually order the beef pot and it never disappoints. When you go around their lunch special hours you can get a free tea with your pot. The beef pot is delicious, bursting with flavors. I usually get my broth mild because it's pretty spicy. I get it with vermicelli. Service is great, staff members are super friendly, tentative, and efficient. Ambiance is nice, there's descent amount of booths and tables. There's always a wait, but they have a iPad for you to put your name on the waitlist.

Am I crazy for eating hot pot in 90 weather? Absolutely lol. I've been to the Boiling Point in Garden Grove many times, but this was my first visit at this location. Parking: Free parking lot. There's a large parking lot with plenty of spots. Ambiance/Environment: I really like this location because it's very spacious, unlike the GG location. They have a decent amount of indoor seating. No outdoor seating. All tables and chairs were clean. We visited during early dinner hours on a weekday, so it wasn't busy at all. More foot traffic came around 17:00-19:00. Service: Shout out to our server Jewel! She's attentive and courteous. She checked on us multiple times and refilled our waters. Throughput was also quick after ordering. Food: My go-to is the House Special or Beef. I decided to go with the Beef, mild, and rice. It came with a generous amount of protein, vegetables, and toppings. I also got rice in the side. Noodles and ramen cost extra. The soup base was very tasty with a nice kick to it. They also offered some specials like 50% off milk teas and happy hour during specific hours. Pricing: Don't forget to scan your BP points through the app. Prices have gone up over the years. It's worth it every once in a while.

Ambiance- casual, cozy, welcoming. Only issue is tables are a little to close to one another. Service- Fast, efficient, welcoming, not overly attentive. Food- Great overall. Good place to go for hot pot. There are so many all you can eat hot pot places, but the good thing is, you won't overeat here. Still a generous portion to have you feeling satisfied. I ordered the Thai version for myself, medium spice and it didn't taste spicy at all, so maybe order a higher spice level if you prefer some real heat. PSA- We asked if trading the rice or glass noodles for udon noodles was ok, he said, yes. Well, we were charged 3.25 for each small udon noodle serving. I wish he would have said, "No, but there is an additional charge if you would like a side of udon". Honey fresh milk tea- perfect, not too sweet.

What I Ordered: Beef ($20.45) Korean Bean Paste ($19.98) Garlic Pork Belly ($6.41) Scallion Gravy Rice ($2.83) Pudding Sweet Milk with Boba ($6.45) Food: Boiling Point's Hot Soup is always a good old reliable for a warm bowl of soup. My personal favorite is the Beef Hot Soup, which comes with beef, fish cake, and assorted vegetables. The broth is rich and savory and you can choose to get it with either rice or vermicelli noodles. I personally get mine with rice and choose the Mild spicy level. Don't forget that at lunch you can come for cheaper prices and free tea! It was my first time getting appetizers here, but I loved my Garlic Pork Belly, which is thinly sliced pork belly with a strong and savory garlic flavor. I love wrapping some rice with the pork belly and eating it all together in one bite. Staff: All staff members were friendly and provided quick service! Ambiance: The inside of the restaurant is modern and clean. Huge parking lot that is shared with other shops in the plaza. Indoor seating only.

Came here craving something spicy, and this spot definitely delivered. My go-to order is the #4 Beef Hot Soup with medium spice, and I always recommend getting the beef upgrade. It's consistently good every time honestly hard to go wrong with it. The ambience is pretty average, nothing too special, but it gets the job done for a casual meal. Service was solid as well. The staff were friendly and kept checking in on us to make sure everything was good. I went when it wasn't too busy, which made the experience even smoother. Overall, a reliable spot when you're in the mood for something hot and spicy. Definitely worth checking out.

I love boiling point! I came here quite often and stacked up a lot of reward points but I honestly have not come in so long. I think it's bc I can go to Broth Shabu down the street for roughly the same price and get ayce. Before you come for me, I know that one is Taiwanese and the other is japanese, so I'm aware they're diff cuisines but to me if I'm craving for a good soup/meal, I always consider quality and bang for buck. However, I came on my birthday because they offer a free small pot + drink for guests dining in. All you need to do is show proof with valid ID and it has to be redeemed on your actual birthday. My normal go-to is the #8 Taiwanese spicy! it's a large spicy pot with ramen noodles and lots of protein (beef, pork, and some seafood). But for birthdays, only small pots are included, so I opted for the #4 beef pot. This is a very popular choice, however it was my 1st time having it. Unlike the taiwanese, the beef pot allows you to choose your spice level- I chose mild (I was recovering from a stomach bug, so I wanted to play it safe) The beef pot is very similar to the taiwanese pot imo. It has vermicelli noodles, sliced beef, fish cakes, pork ball, and some seafood. The mild spice had a little kick but nothing too crazy. It also comes with a side of noodles or rice, I just rice. I honestly thought the small size wasn't going to be enough but I ended up not even finishing it and had the rest taken home. For my drink, I was recommended the assam black tea by my server. I very much enjoyed it! There was just the right amount of sweetness to it but you can also customize how sweet you want it too. Overall I really enjoy my meals here, the service is great, and the ambiance is not too loud. I'm so grateful that BP offers this birthday freebie, it's a nice way to treat ourselves on our special day!

BIRTHDAY MONTH=BIRTHDAY COUPONS=HAPPY RODNEY Free hot pot & drink on your actual birthday Lunch orders include drink of choice Taiwanese Spicy- I am never ordering this againg! Mala (Hot)! As I've become older, my heat tolerance has slowly dwindled down from what it once was. Pondering between the Taiwanese Spicy & The Hot Green soup, I was told the Taiwanese Spicy cannot be adjusted for heat, but the Hot Green can. Believing I'm muy macho, and hearing from a fellow customer in line that her favorite is the Taiwanese Spicy, I figured I'd go for it. Yikes! My mouth immediately numbed and eating became a challenge. I had the staff add more broth to dilute, and it only slightly became less difficult to consume. The Taiwanese Spicy was good, loaded with protein. After finishing most of the ingredients sans broth & some vegetables, my mouth started find relief from the heat. Deciding upon having a couple spoonfuls of broth for the LOL's, I immediately felt the pain in my nose and starting coughing. Whew! Hokkaido boba milk tea & jasmine green tea- Lunch orderes come w/ drink of choice, and the birthday promo also includes a drink, hence two free drinks. I wish I could've said I savored these drinks, but I finished these right away, to alleviate some of the punishing burn from the broth. Refreshing, though. Service was excellent. Showing the staff my ID to show it was birthday, they were friendly, hospitable & quick with service. Boiling Point, you are locked in as my birthday destination spot for some nourishing hot pot action in the midst of the August heat wave. I wish I knew about BP's birthday promo sooner, as I would've taken advantage of this wonderful deal numerous times, already.

Nearly empty at 4:10pm.
Mel D.

What a disappointing experience. I brought my parents (84-year-old mom and 92-year-old dad) to dinner at approximately 4:10 PM. The restaurant was nearly empty -- maybe 3-4 parties total. We were initially told by an employee to sit anywhere, then immediately afterward told we needed to sign in and wait. Confusing, but okay -- we signed in around 4:15 PM. Then we waited...and waited...in a mostly empty restaurant. I politely asked multiple times whether we could place an order. One waitress responded, "Sorry, I just got here," which did nothing to address the situation or explain the process. What became frustrating was watching a party of 10 get seated while several members of their group arrived later. We were told, while pointing to that group, "they were here first." Only 2 of the 8 were present when we arrived. Maybe they technically checked in first -- but from a customer perspective, when a nearly empty restaurant leaves elderly guests waiting without explanation while accommodating a large incomplete party, it feels dismissive and poorly managed. We left, utterly dissapointed. This isn't about getting special treatment. It's about basic hospitality, communication, and situational awareness. Recommendation to management: * Train staff on guest communication and ownership ("I just got here" is not a customer-facing solution). * Establish and consistently explain seating policies. * Empower hosts to use judgment for elderly guests and small parties when capacity clearly exists. * Review camera footage from approximately 4:10-4:45 PM to evaluate queue handling, staff coordination, and whether customer experience matched intended policy. Common courtesy and common sense are part of hospitality. This experience missed both. To Manager Ms. Nguyen, please address this.

Do u have a private room for 12-15 people?

They do not. The restaurant itself is not very large. Accommodating 12-15 in general might be difficult.

Do you accept reservations?

They do not accept reservations! They have a tablet in the front of the restaurant that you must check-in on to put yourself on the waiting list.

Is this location open today (December 26, 2022? I called, but got a machine both times.

Do u have outside seating? Are let's allowed?

There's no outdoor seating. And pets are not allowed.

Haven't been here for a while now. Do we need to make a reservation ahead? Or when we get there, do we just get a number?

First come first serve, as I don't see a Yelp check in option. I went here on a Thursday around 7pm.. and the wait was about 1hr and 10 mins

Been calling on 3 different days to place a phone order, but no answer. Are they closed?

No they just suck at answering their phone

Why isn't the prices on your website? Or did I just not see it? Is there a reason why?

Prices are always being raised. Probably less work for them to not put a set price.

What's time they openon weekend?

We are open every day 11am-11pm!

Hi Kris, We welcome parties of all shapes and sizes, so feel free to come enjoy a hot soup by…

Do they have the coupon like the stamp card?

To my knowledge, no. I want to say they used to, but discontinued it quite a while back.

Can you substitute the meat broth for veggie or miso broth for all the items?

Hi Tasneem, You can choose from both beef and veggie broth for any of the hot soups, just let…

Hey maybe this is a stupid questions because I've never been.. but can you take it to go?

Hi Jen, yes we offer to go orders!

Can 2 people share a large pot?

You technically can but it really wouldnt be enough food for 2 adults in my opinion

Do they have a vegetarian broth option?

They have a vegetable soup with clear broth. That is only option.

What's their most popular item?

Beef pot is their most popular one.

I don't come to this location much because it's not as convenient for me, but I've noticed that it's not busy here at all. There was only one other table besides ours during peak lunch time 12:30 pm on a tuesday. That's the perk of it, but there are other small details I've noticed that are different from other locations, one of them being the thickness of the green onions. I usually love how thinly sliced they are at Mokkoji but this location has them very big, coarsely chopped. Also the toro we got today was very fatty, a plus for those who enjoy fatty meats. I prefer the flat iron more lately bc of how lean yet flavorful it is. My go to order is to get a "special for 2" of their "share beef set" to share with my wife. She likes the Spicy Pork Broth and I like the Spicy Sukiyaki. It's Japanese spicy, so it's more flavorful than spicy. If you want real spice, then you could ask the server for extra spice and they'll use a medicine dropper to add a few drops of serious heat into your sauces. In our shared meal, we prefer their marinated "toro fatty belly" and it comes with a huge order of meat, 2 pints of draft beer, an appetizer, and ice cream ($87 for two persons). If you choose a nice, fatty cut, then you will be pretty satisfied with the meat quality. My reasoning for this being 4 stars rather than 5 stars is that if you were to choose the wrong type of meat or if you don't order enough meat, then your experience will likely be suboptimal. Apparently, you can get refills on the veggies, so I'll try to ask for that next time! What I love about Mokkoji, however, is that the quality and value that I get with the special is ample for two and it's delicious!
