Food 4/5 Veggies and sides were fresh and delicious. Great selection of soups and meats. Beef belly was super tasty and soft, ordered around 28 rounds of meat for 7 people. Only suggestion is to have labels on the food selection. Service 4/5 We were seated pretty quickly, hosts and servers were very kind and accommodating. Every time we finished a tray or plate they would take it away almost immediately. Only complaint was it took a while to get water. Ambiance 5/5 Restaurant was very spacious and the buffet area was clean and well stocked and organized. Overall great dinner experience! would come back

I visited this place again after a long time for a company dinner. There haven't been many changes, but that's not a bad thing. Even with a lot of customers, the restaurant was clean and the service was fairly quick. For the price, the quality of the meat was acceptable, and the included vegetables and seafood were satisfactory. Dining out isn't cheap these days, so this felt like a reasonable option without high expectations. On a chilly day, it was a decent and practical choice.

Went to Shabuya recently with old friends. Great KBBQ spot! Buffet-style, so you go pick what you want and cook it. Plenty of banchan. And it HUGE inside! Ordinarily, in most Korean BBQ soots I have been to all the tables, buffet, and servers are smashed together and one trips over the other. Here, plenty of seating, room to spread out, and lots of groups. Would definitely return. Enjoy!

Not the best place for a hot pot, but the best one for the price around that area. Got seated fast, but once seated, to get help was difficult. Most of the ingredients looked fresh, so that was nice . The flavors were not a stand out. Simple and something you can definitively at home. The utensils and plates, not so nice.

Been coming to Shabuya in La Mirada for years for that AYCE shabu goodness. And it never fails to hit the spot. The meat quality and selection is solid, and the veggies and the sauces are all on point. Service is always good too. If you're a spice lover like me, make sure to ask for the spicy hot sauce to add to your broth as well as your goma sauce. It elevates everything! Another pro tip is to add green onions, minced radish, and minced garlic to your ponzu sauce. So bomb. Dinner is $32.99 a person which is very reasonable but if you wanna save a little more, come during lunch when it's $25.99 a person. It's worth every penny.

Went here to celebrate a friend's birthday for dinner! First off- I've never been to a hot pot where you have your own individual pots for your broth and food! What a great idea! The service was great- they were very attentive and personable. The place was great for crowds yet intimate enough for just two! Great selection of meats, seafood, veggies & sides with a section to make your dipping sauces ! Definitely a great place to go to when it's a bit chilly outside or anytime you feel you need a hot pot fix!

As soon as you walk in, you notice how clean and well-maintained everything is -- even the vents -- which is so important for food quality. For large parties, everyone must be present before seating, even if just one person is missing, which happened to us. You get five soup base options to choose from, which is a big plus. The bar is beautifully set up with a great selection of veggies, noodles, fish balls, and shrimp. The meat was fresh, and I truly had no complaints. Overall, you'll definitely want to give this place a try!

Great place for shabu shabu, they had lots of selections for meats during dinner and a self help bar for all the rest of the ingredients you need. We ordered some soju and had a fun time eating AYCE. They also have a LA location that is solid.

This location is so sad compared to the FV location, it's more expensive and lacks so many of my favorites. They didn't have appetizers, chili oil, spicy miso broth, and more. The goma sauce tasted more like peanut butter than sesame. I don't usually eat salty, but I've never craved salt so bad when the broth was bland.

This is my second time at this location. Lunch is $25.99 and AYCE. When you arrive there's plenty of parking and hardly ever a wait. Everyone was kind and the service was really great. You never have to ask for more meat because they constantly come and ask if they can bring you more. This location isn't as turned up as fountain valley, it's more traditional and what I loved most is the sides bar. This location had crawfish, crab, sausage, clams, muscles and really any other item you could want in Shabu shabu. The sides bar was kept up and really clean. They give you a choice of about 6 different broths. We had a great experience and I definitely recommend!

Shabu Shabu with miso base broth

Good Japanese Shabu Shabu (hot pot) place. 2 hr limit. Price is fair. No wait on a Monday night. No hot food like some other places that have fried rice or fried chicken. No free desserts or fruit. Best is the fresh spinach noodles and good variety of hot pot add ins like veggies and mushrooms. About 7 choice of meat including lamb, chicken, pork and many beef cuts

The weather's been cold lately and I've been craving for some tasty shabu shabu. I've driven past this place many times so my parents and I decided to give it a shot. We were seated under an air conditioner vent which wasn't great, however the food... was EXCELLENT. I went with the miso soup base and was mind blown by how the meat cooked so fast! There is also a buffet with vegetables, noodles, seafood and so much more. There are also many other soup choices, I'll have to try them next time. The service is attentive and friendly. The food comes quick, but the button that's supposed to call them doesn't seem to do anything. The building is big and spacious and it needs to be, because Shabuya has a pretty big line, that's for sure. I think Shabuya is the best shabu shabu place I've been to so far! I will DEFINITELY come again.

Stopped by on Sunday, 06/22/25 with my boyfriend after church service. My first time here and this is my boyfriend's favorite hot pot place. The wait time was minimal as we ate around 2pm for lunch. - 2 Regular AYCE = $32.99 per person SUBTOTAL = $65.98 TAX = $6.43 TOTAL = $72.41 Great price for an AYCE place. You get to select 9 options from the meat menu. We also ordered beers ($5 per beer - I got the mango cart and my boyfriend got the Sapporo; it looks like we were not charged). There is a buffet-style area where you can grab seafood, veggies, noodles and more! Seafood: Octopus, squid, shrimp, mussels, clams, fish balls, fish fillet, imitation crab. Unfortunately this place does not offer dessert - wish they offer some sort of ice cream.

Ask the Community - Shabuya - La Mirada

Does this location utilize the Shabuya app in the App Store for online ordering and loyalty points?

    Do they have appetizers?

    Yes, but no volcano kaarage

    Is there solo dining charge?

    No there's not

Can we bring a cake? And is there a cake cutting fee?

Sorry I can't answer your question because although we celebrated friends' birthdays there, we didn't bring a cake. We enjoyed the cake in their house after lunch in Shabuya.

Is it all you can eat?

    Yes.

Can 2 people share one pot?

No, you get your own pot.

What's the difference in the menu between lunch and regular? I see that lunch is $23.99 while regular is $29.99. Is the difference only on the time frame that it is offered, but still the same menu and food options?

Nothing. Nothing is different. It's just a special pricing for lunch special Mon-Fri. Just marketing to get more people come for lunch special.

Is the self serve salad bar open yet? If not when?

When we went on Father's Day 2021, it was open. You have to wear a mask and use disposable gloves, which was provided by the restaurant.

    How much is AYCE?

    $29.99 + tax

How much is for lunch and dinner? Also, do you take reservations for a party of 6 or more? Thank you.

Yes they take parties more than 6

Is this just a walk in bc on Yelp shows closed?

They said they were having issues with their system two days ago when I went, if it's possible to join the waitlist definitely do it, or see if you can call ahead!

    What are their hours now?

    12pm to 11pm

Has anyone been there since they re opened on 2/11/21? Are they still serving the same menu meats, pricing? Thanks for your help!

Seems about the same I added a review with updated menu and prices

Are they open for dine in?

    Outdoor Dining

Is the ayce available or not yet?

Yes, they're open for AYCE. I was just there Monday! The sauce/vegetable/other proteins bar is closed. You'll have to order what you want like you do with meat.

    Is dine available now?

I hope so !! I miss this place!!

    Is the meat ayce?

    Yes

Can u sample the broth before u make a choice because I don't really know what to get?

YES! They are very accommodating! I did that on my first trip to Shabuya

Can u eat here by yourself or eat here with a party of 2?

Sure. I've dined solo at Shabuya. I've also seen pairs.

What's the best broth in Shabuya?

The mala broth is great if you like spicy!

In addition, at dinner only, each person can order one lamb shank - just this piece of meat alone is worth your $28.99 visit. The restaurant food section is maintained very cleanly, food is beautifully displayed for a self-serve buffet restaurant. Plenty of seating area with ability to accommodate larger parties, and feels family friendly. The only shortcoming they have is that their fruit section tastes consistently unappealing, and some of the desserts don't tastes too great either. But at least their main dishes taste good. Regardless, this is a regular lunch spot frequented, and would bring friends over for dinner here, if they ever feel like Mediterranean.

To be fair, I went on a weekend, so I paid the highest price. I could see this place being a much better value during weekday lunch. The inside was very clean, which I appreciated. One thing that felt a little awkward was the service setup. There didn't really seem to be servers inside, and you pay when you leave, so I wasn't completely sure how much tip made sense. I noticed they even had a 10% tip option, so I'm guessing they know the setup can feel a little unclear. The food overall was clean and decent. It felt like they had pretty much everything you would expect from an American-style Mediterranean/Middle Eastern buffet. Nothing really stood out as especially amazing, but there was a good variety, and most of the food gave me that "this is probably healthy" feeling. I'd consider coming back if I were with friends who really like Mediterranean food.

The meat cut of the hibachi steak was (I'm pretty sure) sirloin steak. Great selection of sauce/vegetables to add on. The amount and variety of food choices here is very impressive. Hot food and sushi quality were good. I'm also dazzled that they had Blue Ribbon ice cream sandwiches (they were so good, I had 3)!! Service is good, they're prompt at refilling drinks and taking dirty plates. My only gripe here is that they did not have beef short ribs (Yelpers' pics in other Flaming Buffet locations had this). 6 pm, Sunday, February 22, 2026…read more I ordered golden wall and ordered through Yelp but it redirected me to a different food ordering app (BeyondMenu) so I ordered the dinner for four family meal and I added two extra sides of egg flower soup. The family was not feeling well at all and they said hit the spot. It's been a few years since we've ordered takeout from Golden wall. I wasn't sure if it was going to be the same but had to go with what we knew. The food there was very good so ordering from the app was pretty easy. We knew what we wanted putting in the information and payment information was very easy. So, I figured best to pay right away so they make the food immediately instead of waiting for me to arrive there to pay. I didn't want that to happen! I wanted to get there at the perfect time and announce that I was there to pick up an online order. So when I got there the restaurant was dimly lit which I guess was all right for the diners that were inside eating. When I was walking up almost looked like the restaurant was closed. They're in an old strip mall and not really any bright lights on the outside indicating that they were open. They did have a neon sign in the window that said Chinese food. Once checked in, it only took a couple minutes for the order to come out boxed and placed on the pickup table. There's a lot of food for what you pay for a family dinner and then two containers of soup that also included two bags of crispy wontons and a bag of fortune cookies and soy sauce. The dinner included crispy egg rolls which thankfully seems to be under the same management they cut the corners of the styrofoam container to vent the steam so by the time I got to the house and let egg rolls were still crispy although your mileage may vary depending on how far you live from the restaurant so I'd say you know the food still tasted the same although I feel that they could have seasoned it a little more ask my family how they felt about the egg flower soup and the comment was that although it was planned it really hit the spot and was very comforting as they ate the soup because they weren't they were under the weather so I'm glad that the soup hit the spot for them.
