Cooking marinated meats, including pork stir fry, pork belly, pork rib, and beef bulgogi
Frank O.

We just found out about this AYCE KBBQ for a reasonable $23 lunch special. GUI gui also has a location in Rowland Heights. A few of the proteins need to be ordered through the server, but many marinated meats are available at a self-serve bar. There is also an appetizer/Banchan bar (although if recommend focusing on the proteins instead). I was intrigued by the tiny corn tortillas as an alternative to a rice paper wrap, but the tortillas were hard to wrap and fell apart easily. Overall meat quality is soso, more fat and less protein. I really like the marinades and prefer these to non-flavored proteins. The regular brisket and marinated brisket are both somewhat fatty (see picture), with about half of the area being fat. It will cook down and help to lubricate the grill surface. I also find the brisket slices to be slightly thicker than usual, which is okay with me since brisket cooks quite fast usually. The marinade for the brisket and pork belly is close to a gochujang, with generous amounts of sauce used. This was great for flavor, though did lead to more splattering on the grill. To me the real stars were the already marinaded proteins from the self-service bar. These are immersed in the sauce and so to intake the flavor strongly. I also like that I can choose how much of each protein to get, so I can ensure I get only as much as I want. Really liked the beef bulgogi, as well as the marinated pork stir fry. Marinated pork ribs and pork belly were solid, I just prefer other proteins instead. For sides the salad was okay, dumplings should be skipped, cheese-corn is fun to cook but has more cheese (so next time I would take a bit off before cooking), salted edamame was basic.

Gui Gui is a great spot to fulfill your kbbq cravings! I typically go for the brisket & beef belly only anyways and it is only $29.99 (Menu C) for dinner! There's plenty of the average sides like mashed potato, kimchi, steamed egg, soups, etc. The quality of the meat was pretty good. The brisket was a little thicker than other kbbq spots so I felt like I couldn't eat as many rounds. Beef belly is standard. I wouldn't recommend the thinly sliced pork belly because it was SUPER thin which made it kind of stuck to the grill. Overall, it was an average kbbq spot to fulfill your cravings. Service was pretty quick and on valentines weekend, there was surprisingly no wait!

Easily one of the better KBBQ spots in the area and the prices are GREAT! For the first timer, they have 3 menus to chose from for different price points. Menu A- Larger selection/better quality meats 49.99 per person Menu b- moderate selection of meats (39.99 pp) Menu c- 29.99 per person and has a good meat selection (bulgogi, brisket, shrimp, chicken, etc) this is the option we choose and it was GREAT! Also all 3 menus include unlimited sides Kimchi, Steamed egg and potato salad were our favorites!! Service was great, very attentive and helpful! They come and replace your grill frequently! All servers seemed nice! Also order yourself the Blond Lager to share its so good and pairs perfectly with KBBQ! Ambiance is typical of a KBBQ restaurant and we will return! We went on a Friday night, it was busy but not crazy busy! If you were thinking about KBBQ in La habra this is the place to go! We will be back! Thanks again!

F O O D My sister and I came for their $19.99 lunch special earlier this year and were pleasantly surprised (I think the price has increased since we've gone). They had yummy cuts of meat that weren't too fatty and a serve yourself bar of sides. There were meats that you can also serve yourself but certain cuts can only be ordered through the server. S E R V I C E We came during their lunch special and service was no bueno even though the restaurant wasn't full. We kept having to flag the server down for drink refill or grill change. We honestly weren't checked on unless we waved someone down. It was busy, but not THAT busy. L O C A T I O N I thought it was sort of random in a plaza next to Italian food and with Dollar Tree and TJMaxx, but there was plenty of parking and while business was steady, it wasn't crazy busy.

Lunch prices went up by $3 but still worth it. The quality meats, excellent service and clean facilities make up for it. A tablet is conveniently located by the door to sign in. Pleasant servers will welcome you in and give you instructions to take a photo of the QR code by your table for the menu (list of meats). Everyone is just smiling, welcoming and accommodating. No more of the paper / plastic menu that feels sticky and dirty on your hands. A bar of commonly ordered meats and sides is accessible. A button to order special meats is conveniently located by your table too. The women's facilities.... I'm impressed. CLEAN! Just one advice: Please provide hand sanitizers by the bar area. We will be back!

We wanted some KBBQ AYCE and decided to check out this place. They have plenty if parking located in a strip plaza. We chosed the $29 meal deal. Lots of meat to choose from. We like the bulgogi the most followed by chicken marinated and the brisket. Service was good. They were attentive. The place was ok. They could use some new pads on the booths. They have a couple of kid games up front for entertainment while waiting for a table I assume. Overall food was good. Go give them a try.

Gui Gui 9292 continues to impress! This spot is still the go-to for an affordable, fun, and absolutely satisfying Korean BBQ experience. Starting at $22.99 for all-you-can-eat, you really can't beat the value--especially with the variety they offer. The vibe is just as chill and welcoming as ever. It's perfect for groups, date night, or just when you're seriously craving KBBQ. I especially love the self-serve meat bar in the back--it's stocked with marinated pork belly, beef, chicken, and even sides like fried rice and gyoza. I like that this place doesn't rush you, and the laid-back atmosphere really makes it feel like a hangout rather than just a meal. Great service, good food, and good music!.

If you're craving all-you-can-eat Korean BBQ, 9292 Gui Gui is the spot! The AYCE BBQ starts at just $22.99, and the quality of the meats is impressive. They've also added new menu items like ramen, pho, kimchi fried rice, and sushi--everything is fresh and flavorful. The drinks deal is a nice bonus too: buy one, get the second 50% off, including alcoholic drinks. Great vibe, friendly staff, and perfect for a casual night out with friends or family. Definitely coming back!

I actually liked the ayce lunch deal for $22.99 and its even good on the Weekends too! I liked the meats bar they had set up in the back. Their grills cook up rather fast and the service was good also. I'd definitely stopby for their ayce lunch option again for sure! TGIF

Affordable, fresh, and so worth it! They have a $22.99 AYCE lunch special every day, and the meat quality is genuinely fresh, Brisket, pork belly, and marinated cuts are all solid, and they bring out your orders fast. The service is friendly and quick, and there's lots of parking. It's spacious inside, so it's great for groups or casual lunch meetups. Also, if it's your birthday, you eat free--such a fun deal to take advantage of. If you're craving KBBQ that won't break the bank but still want good quality and a chill vibe, this is your spot.

Right off the bat I loved the little claw machines and the way it was decorated! The staff was very kind and gave us some grace seeing as I was reuniting with some friends we ended up talking after we were done with our food. Love them for letting us do that. They also politely dropped the bill once we hit the 2 hour mark. And the food was delicious. I was very surprised with the options they had at the bar (some meat you order from a server and some you grab yourself from the bar) they had pickled onions, tortillas, onion rings, and even rice cakes (although those were a little too mushy for my taste). My favorite was the cheese corn. I'll definitely be coming back here again.

My +1 discovered this spot and loved it! Gui Gui is located in a large strip mall plaza area but is not hard to find. The place was super packed, but we were able to find parking and found our way in. It wasn't busy inside but there was a kiosk that told us how to add our names to the waitlist. It said C 10-15 minutes, but as soon as we walked outside, we were flagged down by one of the waiters who said that he could get us in right away. They had a lunch special for $25 a person, which I appreciated. There was a slightly smaller AYCE menu to pick from, but we didn't even get through half of it. Some of the premium items, like beef, belly and brisket, had to be ordered directly from the server, but everything else like your standard pork belly, beef, Bulgogi, chicken, etc. not to mention the sides, we're freely available at the buffet where you help yourself. Our server was attentive, but not overbearing, helped us with our first order, and then we load it up at the buffet. He even came around and helped us with some of the pork, which he showed us how to cut to make it easier to cook The food was delicious and everything I look for for AYCE Korean barbecue. We were glad we stopped by, and plan on coming back again.

I was a regular here before it changed to Gui Gui 9292 and fnally came here for the $19.99. AYCE lunch which is good 7-days a week. The staffing was good and with so many self serve food items now, the staff can focus on changing grills (which they did often without asking) and getting the non-marinated meats from the back. And, there is a hot bar of food including duk-bo-gi (no hard boiled eggs though since they are expensive now). This is a tough deal to beat and if you can't make it for lunch, it's $25.99 for dinner so still a good deal. Check out my pics.

How do the kid prices work?

For the $19.99 menu, are the add on soups/steamed egg refillable or is it $3.99 per serving?

Hey Carla, if I remember correctly, it is unlimited and included in the sides that come with it.

Can you dine solo or is there a minimum?

You can come and dine alone. We welcome you anytime.

Another person at our table got the donkatsu w/ rice; it was gobbled up pretty quick so I imagine it was delicious. The other 2 were in the mood for tonkatsu ramen - 1 got spicy, the other, plain. It looked like there was a lot of green onions for my taste, but they didn't complain. Another hit was the karagge chicken and gyoza - both came w/ tasty sauces! The STAR of the table - the quality of their meat. I really see that it's high quality beef. The short rib had good marbling and tender and well marinated. This time we ordered two bulgogi hot stone bibimbaps to-go, which are about $30 each. I specifically asked him if we can do hot stone to-go and he said yes. Well, when we received our order, the rice was not at all crispy and did not appear to be cooked in the hot stone at all. Also, just fyi Its purple rice and not white. (Which is supposed to be better for you but I don't know for sure) They also did not include any sauces like gochijan to go with it or any side banchans like kimchi. Nothing was included, Just two bowls of bibimbap in the bag! The bulgogi they added on it was very sparse in one bowl. The hot stone bulgogi is definitely not worth the added cost. The meet was grizzly and I literally had to spit out each piece after chewing because it was too tough. My dog benefitte I called them to ask about the sauce and he sounded confused and asked if we could come back for some. So we drove 10 minutes back and also asked about cooking the rice on the stone pot because it didn't appear to be like that. He just said they normally do it and that's how it comes. We got our hot sauce and banchan and left. They seemed overwhelmed there. We've never had any issues with this place before so maybe it's under new mgmt? Don't think we will be back. It's pricey and the inaccuracy and lack of quality control for to-go orders is not worth it.

There was the option to make the soup spicy, but I thought it would've been too much for me based on the pictures I saw. It was pretty pricy for a noodle soup dish, but there was complimentary banchan: pickled peppers, kimchi, radish, and fish cake. There was also salt and pepper on the side to add flavor to the broth. However, even without the condiments, I feel that the broth could've been more flavorful. Also, for the price charged, I feel like there could've been more pieces of beef brisket. The kimchi, fish cake, and pickled peppers were really good. The peppers came in a delicious sauce that was simultaneously savory, sweet, and spicy. It was a nice to dip the beef brisket in this sauce. The kimchi was not sour too. We also got additional fish cake upon request. The restaurant got pretty loud, and it was a little hard to flag our server.
